Finally got to try Tats after so many years of going and working in Seattle. We ordered the tatstrami and italian grinder, both were hot style sandwiches and they were piled high. We actually had to use a fork to eat cause the meat and veggies were spilling out everywhere and it was a hefty sandwich to try to hold and bite into. Our favorite was the tatstrami but both sandwiches were still very good. Only issue was the bread did get soggy fast so it was falling apart.

This is genuinely one of the first times I ate a restaurant that had flavor in Seattle. I can truthfully say everything was seasoned beautifully, the meat was juicy, the cheese wiz had a great flavor and consistency of perfect gooey-ness, the fries had a crunchy outside and soft inside, and had a nice coating of old bay. Not to mention, the portions!! It was way bigger than I had anticipated, yet they don't sacrifice the quality for the quantity. Rosalyn was super helpful when it came to deciding what exactly to order and was very patient while I was being indecisive. It came out much quicker than I expected and I would recommend anyone to stop by during their strange business hours. I also enjoyed the rustic feel on the inside.

Quick easy to order . No reservations required. August 15th, my coleslaw is large. My sandwich is small. Add mushrooms. Live games plus best meats in Seattle.

Food was quickly made! Not much of a wait. Nice place to stop in and have lunch downtown Seattle. Parking is hard so walk in. Food was HOT and cheese melted so good .

Delicious Italian submarine sandwich. Filled with great deli meats and spicy sauce...the other key factor was a wonderful roll the sandwich was built on. Perfect location right by Pioneer Square and just a few blocks away from King Station... they also have an amazing menu with a few cold options and several hot sandwich options. For Seahawk or Mariners fans it is close to both stadiums...please visit them soon!!! TATSDELI.COM

The sandwiches here were so good! They are also huge. The service is fine and they're pretty speedy with getting orders together but sometimes it can be hard to hear your number since it's a little noisy. Would definitely go back for the eggplant parm again! They have 2 veggie sandwiches but no vegan items.

Solid choice for beef cheesesteaks. Delicious, generous portion and fast service. We ordered for take away.

Tats makes you feel like you're right back in a sandwich joint in Philly. It's got a major east cost sandwich vibe, which is great. The workers are all very nice, but the Philly cheesesteak... man is it good... I love a good cheesesteak, and Tat's has very easily earned itself a spot on my Mount Rushmore of cheesesteaks. The steak is steak ribbons in stead of chopped I, which I much prefer. The bread holds its form, mostly, the wiz is nice and warm and they give you plenty of it. In a city where east coast style sandwich shops are harder to come by, tat's is the perfect spot for any hoagie, and chief among them, the Cheesesteak.

2.8/5 I haven't been in years so decided to pop in to see how things are. Ambiance - not much to say, typical sandwich shop. Bunch of seating. Service - service was top notch, the woman who took my order had a huge smile and helped make suggestions on what to try. Food - I tried the roast pork sandwich, with a side of old bay fries and a soda. Total came to $30, so it is a pricier lunch. I have to say after spending $30, I was a little let down. The fries were great, they held their crisp and had a ton of free sauces for dipping. The sandwich itself, although it was very hearty and LOOKED amazing, lacked flavor which was shocking to me. The meat didn't taste seasoned, but it was tender. Sauteed spinach wasn't giving off much flavor either. I thought my tastes were off but I gave a few bites to my fiance and she said the same thing. Would still like to try some of their other options, I would just pass on the roast pork.

Meeting up in downtown Seattle with friends traveling from Australia...and needed a place for lunch. Walked to Tat's as it's the only place I know in dt Seattle and little time to research other options. We ordered the traditional...Philly cheesesteak...beef, fried onions and whiz...yes cheese-whiz. Food came out pretty quick and happy that we were able to secure booth seating. The taste was great...but I did find it a wee bit salty. We all came away very full and satisfied. It was another positive Tat's experience.

Visiting in from out of town, I challenged my friend to take me to the best local sandwhich in Seattle. He did not choose wrong. The place is small with limited seating but it adds to the frenetic charm. It smells amazing inside, the sandwhiches are huge, and everyone eating just seemed to be in heaven. He grabbed the tatstrami and loved it. I went the Italian with extra pickles. The spicy peppers were amazing. My mouth was so happy. Def recommend adding some oil and vinegar but my God was this a bomb sub

How much pastrami do they put on the tatstrami sandwich by weight?

    About 6oz on an 8”

Why do they stop delivery at 10am?

We offer free downtown delivery for 10 or more sandwiches with 24 hrs notice. Our small delivery service is provided by caviar and is available M-W and Sat through lunch. On Thursday and Friday we don’t offer caviar service during our lunch…

    Is there any vegan options?

The French fries? It's a deli... so mostly meat/cold cut sandwiches.

The sandwich was great. Hot, fresh, flavorful (quite spicy - but I like it), moist, and large - about enough for 2 people. Packed with meat, cheese. onions, and peppers. I'd order here often if I lived in Seattle. The zucchini fries however were not good, especially for $12. Very bready, the slices of zucchini were too skinny, and portion size was kind of small. It was only good because it was hot and fried. But the zucchini itself had a strange flavor..kind of fishy? I would not recommend these, maybe just stick to fries but everything else was good. Sandwich - 5/5 Zucchini Fries - 2/5 I ordered online, which was fairly simple, and you pick up from a side door of the building to the kitchen in the parking lot (left side), you do not have to go inside. Pick-up service was friendly. Overall excellent sandwiches!

Tonight, they were at Hell Bent in Lake City. We love that this is a regular spot for them these days because it is the easiest location for us to get to on their schedule. My go-to is either the Chicken Philly or the Turkey Tatstrami since I don't eat red meat. Tonight it was the Turkey Tatstrami. My husband and son always go and pick up the sandwiches. The folks working the truck are so kind and *always* remember them. There's something to be said about being a regular and having a friendly rapport with these cool people. They are often super busy but recognize my family every time. :) There were a lot of people waiting for their food when we got there, but the line to order was short. Everyone was patient - they knew dinner was going to be good! These sandwiches are not for everyone. If you don't like ones that get really messy and require several napkins, this isn't for you. Well, at least the sandwiches that I always order, anyway. What I love: - the super friendly staff, always upbeat and welcoming - the crazy delicious sandwiches, wrapped in white paper (I just love when sandwiches are wrapped in white paper) - their steak sauce. You have to ask for it if you're not getting a cheesesteak sandwich. I always get some. It's tangy and zippy and goes great with their food What could be better: - it's not their fault but parking is sometimes challenging in that area. There is an old ad campaign for an infamous fast food chain that featured celebrities biting into their burgers and having the sauce drip onto them. Tat's sandwiches make you feel like you're actually in one of those commercials, loving every moment as the sauce drizzles down your chin. The bread on both sandwiches is perfect. Toothsome with a cornmeal dusting but moist and gentle against the sandwich fillings. The pastrami is fragrant and tender, and its amped up by its accompaniment of crisp cabbage slaw. The cheesesteak is so juicy, and the cheese is complementary to the steak but doesn't steal the show. As you can see, Tat's sandwiches are incredibly generous with the meat, as well! Pro tip: if you happen to have a bag of French onion Sun chips lying around, eat them with the pastrami. It's symphonic. It's worth mentioning that their staff is super friendly and helpful, too! AMBIANCE Not much for ambiance. It's just a burger stand with uncovered tables and chairs. I believe most people just use the drive thru. SERVICE I ordered at the drive thru. It's just like any other drive thru experience. There was one vehicle in front of me. It took about 10 min to get my food from the time I ordered, waiting for the customer in front of me, and paying the woman at the window. One note I'd like to make is that I was told they do not accept Capital One credit cards, which I found extremely weird. I thought she meant Mastercard so I was going to give her a Capital One card with Visa, but she was adamant that it was specifically Capital One that doesn't work. I didn't feel like arguing so I just used a different card. FOOD So I got myself a Philly cheesesteak. I've read the burger was good too so I also got a double cheeseburger meal. The cheesesteak was decent. All around had good flavor. The cheese was slightly overpowering in my opinion, but I didn't mind it. I just wish the cheesesteak was a little bigger. The burger was okay. It didn't really stand out compared the other options in the area. I personally enjoyed the cheesesteak more. The fries were good. Better than your average fast food fries. OVERALL I might come back. It's kinda out of the way from where I live and I have so many other options. But it's not a bad stop if I'm already in the area and in the mood for a cheesesteak.
