Authentic Vietnamese deli with fresh house cooked food, sandwiches, coffee and small asian market. The food is very good and fresh. No fast food sludge feeling after eating their clean food with real ingredients. Prices are very reasonable. Staff seem like it's a family owned and are kind and friendly. Located in a sketchy neighborhood with homeless and drug addicts but safe during the day to get food. I eat here 2-3/month for a couple years already and keep coming back. Ordered a mixed plate with beef stew and curry, received a plate with curry and sweet sour chicken. On the plus side, their spring rolls are delicious, the curry was decent, and sweet sour chicken was good... for something I never wanted. The workers aren't very friendly and the language barrier makes for incorrect orders, or they just don't care. This is one of the last places you can get true cheap eats in downtown Seattle. A bahn mi will run you around $6 and they are pretty delicious. I prefer the grilled pork over the grilled chicken but next time I'm going to try the pork belly as the grilled meats are a little chewy for me. They also have an extensive deli with hot and room temperature items. I tried a spring roll called Bo Bia it was absolutely delicious. Their traditional fresh rolls are also really good. This has been my go-to banh mi spot in Seattle, and I consider it one of the best in the city. There's a decent-sized parking area next to the deli, which is rare to find for CID/Little Saigon. The mornings are supposedly busy, but I usually end up coming during slower hours. Staff tend to be quite friendly with me, and orders come out quick. I always get the banh mi special here, but most of the banh mi's I have tried at Saigon Deli has always been perfect for when I need a quick and affordable lunch. A few days ago I got a sandwich to-go and ate it at Hing hay park, definitely recommend doing that if you're trying to adsorb the environment and culture around you. I got the all meat combo, it is very tasty with all the fillings, and I like to bring it home and toast up the buns again (removing the veggies before toasting and adding on top again after). Went on a hike with my dad later this day so we decided to get banh mis on the way as my dad was visiting and we are Vietnamese. My dad was very happy because there was parking right next to it which made it a breeze to go in and out. This spot is very popping, and has a grocery feel with lots of good to buy as well as packaged food goods they make there. We ordered a few sandwiches and an iced coffee to go and it was pretty fast, they even asked if we wanted it fresh now which was appreciated. Overall this place is great, I've yet to see better prices in Seattle. Only bummer to me is they prefer cash and have an extra charge for credit cards and I prefer not to use cash. Banh mi: 8/10. My favorite banh mi in Seattle! There was the perfect amount of filling - tofu, pickled carrots/daikon, cucumber, and jalapenos. I was really impressed by how much tofu/protein was inside! The tofu was marinaded which made it extra flavorful with a tiny bit of spice. The bread was crunchy on the outside but still soft in the inside. I was worried that the banh mi would be dry since I ask for no mayo, but it was surprisingly moist from the filling! Literally 10/10 banh mi, could not ask for anything more. There are also many other Vietnamese treats that you can enjoy. We opted for chè from the fridge, which was sweet and refreshing (and not TOO sweet!). There was plenty of parking in the lot. We called in our order, came in 15 minutes, and it was ready for us. They prefer cash, but accept credit cards (NOT American Express) for a 75 cent charge per transaction. Came here on a Sunday around 1 PM. Noticed the small free parking lot right next to the building wasn't that crowded, and inside there were quite a few people but it wasn't extremely busy! It was a bit confusing how to order, as people were just standing around waiting but the man taking orders not only noticed me but made sure to take my order before some of the people who walked in from the side entrance, so that was very welcome. I ordered two banh mi, a chicken and a grilled pork, and paid with credit card, which came out to $12, which frankly, great price. I got my food pretty quickly. In hindsight I wish I had tried one of their drinks/smoothies, but next time! The one thing that this place is missing is any kind of seated eating area but alas. I waited until I got home to eat, and I was not disappointed! Typical banh mi, flavorful meat, marinated veggies, jalapeños and mayo. Their bread hits a good balance of being crispy on the outside and airy on the inside. The fillings are really delicious, especially the grilled pork. I am Vietnamese. I love this deli because of their food and varieties we all can pick and choose. However in the past 2 months I have experienced discrimination from this place multiple times where I was standing in line just like everyone else and one particular lady only asks white customers what they need/ want to order first while I was already at the counter ready to pay. I asked her why I can't just pay her first and she was like what if other customers want to order sandwiches too so it'd be faster. I left. Second incident was today , 12/21/25, same lady. I was in line until my turn to pay/order and she asked the person behind me ( my partner who happened to be white) : sir , you got help? He told her he was with me and she looked at me - asking if im ready to pay. I just paid and walked out. Just one lady who looks like she's mixed had done this so many times. Yesterday (11/17), I bought a box of sweet rice with Chinese sausage for lunch. But when I opened it, I noticed that it already smelled bad, as if it was a left over from the day before. This issue should be reported to the health department; and I intend to do so. Also, on the side note, I noticed that there is no itemized receipt from the cashier. She always does the total "in her head", and nobody challenges the total. It is so easy for her to make "honest mistakes", of course in her favor. Frankly, I don't trust this shop... I'm not sure if it's a me thing, I didn't really like the bread, but I loved everything in the filling of the banh mi. The flavor was very tasty and it was very filling for a sandwich. The portion is a lot, I couldn't finish it so I had to save the rest for dinner. The service was pretty fast, however it can get really confusing because the place itself is really small and gets crowded quick. It seems like it's a very popular place for lunch specials so there was a line, pretty much out the door. Parking can also be very challenging.
