Just got back from 5 days at HB and wow, it exceeded expectations on every front! We stayed in one of the Ocean Tower rooms and it was perfect and had an amazing view of the Ocean Course and the beach. Service everywhere was great! We enjoyed all the dining options and loved them all, but Delfinos was our favorite. Beach staff was awesome. Pool areas were super clean and well attended. The Conservatory golf course was great, but the Ocean Course is absolutely stunning. Some of the best oceanside holes I have ever played. Conditions awesome and staff great as well!! The prices are steep, but we thought it would be worthy the stay. We were disappointed! Check in was at 4pm, but we weren't able to get our room til past 5:30pm. We decided to have a drink at the Atlantic Grill( one of their restaurants) while we waited,and the bar atender was not welcoming and very dismissive of us. Even when they called to let us know our room was ready, they didn't apologize for the delay. You also have to pay $15 per chair and $15 per umbrella if you want to use it at the beach. All the resorts we stayed before this was "included". We won't go back. read more

Hello, I am staying in room 742, Tower C. There is a clogged toilet there that is overflowing and flooding the bathroom. I called the operator to fix it yesterday 3/27 at around 10PM. They promised to send somebody. Nobody came. I called 2 more times. There was some excuse about them going to a wrong room etc. Finally at 11PM they said nobody was available to fix it. They promised to send somebody first thing in the morning at 7. It's now 7:35. Nobody is here. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service read more

Hidden gem... We wanted a weekend away and after a quick search we found the Hammock. We reserved a room in a flash and arrived next day greeted by Collin at the front desk. Collin took careful note of our asks and worked to meet them in the best way possible. Collin found us a great room and we started our weekend on a very positive note. Over the course of the next two days we interacted with several staff members that made our stay very special, from Kyle at the hotel's arrival, to Jacqueline in the lobby/front desk to Gianni at the golf facilities. At a couple of times we had a couple of items to take care of and once again Collin stepped up and went above and beyond to assist us. We were very happy with his service, and believed that he is the hidden gem in this hotel. The beach was nice, the golf course superb, and having breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in one place, along with nice guests to meet and chat with made this stay very very pleasant. read more

Well, very nice landscaping and views of the beach and golf course. The room was ok, not remodeled as told. The food was really good. The one star is for the pool areas, no where to sit, by reservation only or first come basis. We had no luck both days. Some staff members at the pool were rude (Omar). So we decided to check out a day early since our pool experience was ruined. Make sure to make a reservation for the pool and don't come during a holiday!! 5 stars go to Kyle in Valet, Jorgia at Atlantic Grill and the front desk staff. read more

Update: Angela called back later that day, apologized for the lack of beach access and refused to provide any customer service credit whatsover. When I repeatedly pointed out that guests were clearly paying for a key amenity (on site beach access) that they were NOT receiving (both through resort fee and premium room rates), she refused to provide any credit - not one cent. See attached picture showing the shuttle schedule that they later posted. Rather than be dependent on their hotel shuttle schedule for beach access our family just opted to drive ourself to nearby beaches (as I'm sure other families did as well) - clearly not what we'd envsioned when paying a premium for a resort with direct beach access. I don't blame the hotel in any way for dune recovery efforts the county may have imposed, but I absolutely fault them for not making any attempt whatsoever to at least make a goodwill compensatory gesture. They may continue to blame the county for the closure (that they may not control), but they have ABSOLUTE control over credits they can choose or not choose to issue to guests. It's really incomprehensible. I've had hotels and other estalishments offer a customer service credit for MUCH less inconvenience. I'm not at all surprised to see two additional one star ratings since we checked in earlier this week. Glad to be departing today. What's ironic is - since we're here on business, we'll be reimbursed for our stay so for me, it's not even about the money. It's the principle of being clearly charged for a critically important amenity that you're obviously not receiving. Horrible customer service! Horrible hotel management (and yes, I emailed Brad H. as soon as the initial incident happened). ******************** We checked in last evening and I went to the beach this morning and was nearly hit by a bulldozer. Apparently, they're doing construction directly on the beach all week which apparently means virtually no beach access during our stay. There was ZERO mention of this when we checked in last night. I went to the front desk to get more information and she said they'd just learned of the work being done on the beach as of this morning and a shuttle service would start running every 2 hours to take us to another beach. When I asked for a credit on our account for each stay during our visit, she said she'd have to ask the manager (Angela) to contact me. Huh???? Why wouldn't the hotel automatically credit every guest in the property for the inconvenience of not having beach access? She told me that the resort fee covers more than beach access and I reminded her that I'm paying premium rates for a property directly on the beach. It's clear the management here is more focused on pushing back than accepting accountability and prioritizing customer service. After she (Jacqueline) took my information, she noticed my husband's name on the room key and said that since I hadn't been "added" as a guest in the room, the manager (Angela) may not even contact me. I told her that I'd made the reservation myself and put it in my husband's name because he was attending a Primary Care Conference and would be submitting it for reimbursement, but my cell number (and email address) were both in fact the ones listed on the reservation. She reiterated that my name wasn't on the reservation - clearly emphasizing her chosen focus/priorities. It's so tragic to encounter customer service representatives who clearly have little regard for customer service. Providing a credit for the significant inconvenience of not having advertised/paid for beach access is the absolute minimum they could have done, but instead, Jacqueline insists that this be escalated to hotel management when hotel management should have taken accountability from the outset and proactively credited guests accounts in the first place. The resort which should not even be called one is the worst. We have been going there over the years in the past but our recent visit experience left us to never go back. Stay away, it is not kept up well at all. Customer service is horrible and we found a spider on our bed old outdated rooms with the motel 6 type of AC unit that is loud as jet engine. We got there one hour early and checked in the front desk said our room was not ready yet and that they would text us when it was ready. 3pm which is the time to check in still no response so my wife goes up to the front desk and they said oh it's ready but they forgot to text us to let us know. Ok minor mistake no big deal. We go up to our room and the foyer to the floor looks dirty and unkept so far we are like I'm sure our room isn't like the foyer or the hallway which was filthy and dirty. We get to our room door and it is so dirty we were like do they not clean the hall ways at all?? We go in and we were hit with the worst smell of bleach like they used entire gallon of bleach for whatever reason. The AC unit is so loud that you can't even hear yourself think and the wife as there is no way we can stay in this room. It's smells so bad that we were getting headache after few minutes from the fume. So she goes to call the front desk and then she screams and sees a spider on the bed and I smacked it to kill it. Nasty smh really spider on the bed. So we called the front desk and complain about the room and they said we are full and cannot change the room until next day. Poor customer service. They didn't understand that we could not stay in the room. It was dirty, smelly, insects and loud room. They should have found some way to put us in another room! So we said then we are not staying here they said ok and just as we got off the phone the bellhop comes up with our bags and he could not believe how strong the bleach smell was. We told him don't bother taking our bags off the cart that we were not staying. He understood and we all went down to the lobby. As we are checking out the manager comes out and say well we can put you in a villa off of the main hotel facing the intercoastal water. I said we booked oceanfront for a reason. So no thank you. They were not accommodating and honestly at this point we were already disappointed and disgusted with the place and didn't want to stay. It's unfortunate and sad as we use to enjoy going there but I would never go back! Horrible place and it's has become a dump of a resort! They should not call themselves a resort as it is not worth the time or the money to stay there! read more

Great location...private beach. Sad to hear they may be closing down the Lodge at some point and building a new tower. Love the older, quaint, beach front Lodge. I wish there was more seating at the pool but I'm not entirely sure how you'd fix that without tearing completely down and rebuilding. Food/Drinks are COSTLY...but everything is on site. This is an overpriced resort that has high prices and lack of service. I took my entire family, a party of 17, to this venue. The pools are over crowded, the food service is poor as poolside help is lacking....they are under staffed. The property is a "cashless" place where you cannot get change for a large bill to give tips. I was told you need to go to the Valet to get change as they were the only ones that have cash. Be aware that they charge $10 for parking, but never tell you that overnight is 18. They will NOT clean your rooms. You have to ask to service. I had a private dinner at Delfina's that took 3 1/2 hours. We had 14 people and 2 children. They had ONE waiter. I could go on and on..but buyer beware. I wish I had read the other reviews before going to this property as I would have gone elsewhere. read more

My husband and I and our nine year old just checked out of our ocean view, premium one bedroom, suite in the main building. We stayed for 4 nights. This was our first stay there. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We visited the Atlantic restaurant for dinner and breakfast and we enjoyed it as well. The inside and outside pool area was very nice although harder to find chairs on the weekend. My husband got a nice massage. We played mini-golf (which was free daily). The customer service experiences we had were warm, friendly, and helpful each time. We also enjoyed the beach, which apparently was shut down last week for refurbishing. Our room was clean and well appointed with daily cleaning service. Would totally go back! read more

This is such a tricky review to write, but I have to be honest. I was skeptical of the hotel from reading all the reviews either 1 star or 5 star, I hate that. So lets begin. We stayed at the lodge which is probably the only area in the hotel I would recommend. There are about 20 rooms in this section and they are all very large. Our room was 1000 sq ft and ocean view and very reasonable at 500 a night. Hard to beat this anywhere in FL. Yet someone even with these large rooms and smaller section of the resort, we could still hear the noise of neighboring rooms and the hall. Our bed was broken, as my side sunk like the titanic. There are about 8 pools to choose from, yet some are heated and some arn't why? The ones that arn't are not really enjoyable, maybe in July or August but not in early May. One that isn't but should be is the lazy river which is small but everyone enjoys it. We were here 2 full days and on the second day they were doing repairs to it and it wasn't running for hours. It wasn't until my wife asked the repair guy for more info that he replied Oh, I can turn it on while I work on it. And just like that she saved this resort from more negative reviews. The arcade has 3 games in a room, not much of an arcade. Booking the hotel was also tricky, I am glad I called and didnt try to book it online. I can still recommend this hotel with all its quirks as the hotel was good for families. I would never recommend this hotel if you're looking for a romantic getaway with you wife. I would also like to note, that you don't have to reserve the seats around the pool at least in May. We never had to fight for seats. However if you want a seat at the beach, they will charge you. read more

Horrible customer service...the check in process, etc. We went for their advertised New Years Eve party on the lawn overlooking the beach. At the stroke of midnight EVERYTHING closed down. The fireworks went off at midnight and we turned around and EVERYTHING was close. The outdoor bar literally dropped the shutters closing the bar at the stroke of midnight. Usually when an establishment advertises an amazing New Year's party they stay open for AT LEAST another hour. Plus there was a huge NCAA football game on that had a unbelievable ending (Georgia vs. Ohio St.) where it ended EXACTLY at midnight with a game ending field goal. The bar tenders dropped the protective shutters not allowing the fans to see another moment of the game....UNBELIEVABLE! In addition, when we arrived early we and let the front desk know we were on property in case the room is ready before the designated check in time. They literally lied to us 6 times starting at noon saying the room is clean but waiting for inspection. We understood the room was not promised before official check in but they should have just told us rather than continue to lie. In the end, not only did they not have the room ready at check in time, we had to wait an additional two hours after check in time. once we finally arrived at the room we found our room was not up to par with the other rooms....DEFINITELY not worth the $800/night we paid. They conditions of the condo were on par with a roadside motel. Our friends' rooms were beautifully decorated with appropriate beach decor, but our room was decorated with ripped furniture and TVs that did not work.... I felt like I was vacationing in a condo with furniture someone moved in from their deceased grandparents house. Everything was old and disgusting. Please note we were paying the exact same price as the people who had beautiful decorated condos. My company paid for us to stay here. October 5th 2019. We stayed in the South tower and the view we had was beautiful it looked over a pond and we could see the lazy river and also see the pool. Our room number 338. Our balcony was bigger than the others so that was also nice. We stayed Friday night and Saturday night I was able to check in at 2:30 p.m. you have to pull in and go through a guard gate and show your id and tell them you're checking in. I then went to the front entrance and found a parking spot I checked in which was pretty easy and the lady explained everything in the resort and gave me a map. the bellman help me with my bags and we made our way to my room. Then I went back down and got my car and moved it to the parking garage and made my way back up. The room we stayed in was nice it had a king bed. And a pull-out sofa which I slept on and that was nice. The kitchen has a little stove refrigerator and microwave but it did not have any pots or pans? I never needed them so I guess if I called a they probably would have brought me some. there's no ice machines anywhere so you have to call and have them bring you ice sometimes they bring it in a paper bucket sometimes just in a bag that you put in the sink. I would suggest bringing a nice cooler to store your ice in if you wanted it to last. There's a Publix right next door to buy items. We ate breakfast at the Atlantic Grill the prices range from 13 to 16 for an average breakfast and it wasn't that great. I got some kind of egg white quiche that was tasteless but I was with friends so I did not send it back but I would have. He also had a hamburger by the pool I think it was $13 dollars and it was okay it was not cooked thoroughly, but again I ate it anyway it was big and we shared it. They also have frozen drinks by the pool they range from $13 to $15 you can get a beer for $5.75 or an IPA for $6.75. since we came in October we pretty much had the pool area to ourselves they have a kids pool with a slide, a lazy river, and an adult pool, and Beach pool, and a heated pool. everything was in working condition when we were here and we enjoyed the lazy River and the heated pool and we went down the slide a couple times and we're 53 years old so it's all good. it says on the sign that you're not allowed to bring outside food or coolers but we did anyway we did not bring a huge cooler but I brought my little cooler everyday with my drinks and snacks. Make sure to carry your key card with you everywhere you go become the property does not accept cash and you have to use a credit card or the key card. We had our company party in one of the ballrooms the food was passable but not great the drinks were awesome. After the event we made our way to Loggerhead bar where they had a band playing some 70s and 80s music. There's also an Italian restaurant and a sushi bar and also a cigar bar the cigar bar looks very dated but I'm sure it's a fun place to have a smoke. They also have daily events for the kids and there's a kids zone by the indoor pool. The day we came they were giving them hay rides and they were decorating pumpkins. They also had a movie on the lawn that night. Each day they have something different planned for the kids and the adults. We checked out the spa and it is beautiful they have a steam room a sauna and an inhalation room and everything is free. Had a little boutique where you could buy special shampoos and lotions and also have other special treatments done at a cost. They have showers and a huge beautiful bathroom with hair dryers etc. They also have some of the same rooms for men. The fitness room is huge, with plenty of equipment to workout on. There is a man inside the fitness room to help you with any of the equipment and they also had a big basket of fruit if you were hungry. The indoor pool area was huge it had the large indoor pool two hot tubs an area 4 games which had a foosball machine and a paddle ball table this is also where the kids club is where you can go in there and watch TV play games or make crafts. Everything looked clean and well-organized the hot tubs could use an update but everyone was enjoying them. It was a great weekend and I think I will stay here again one day. St Augustine downtown area is about a 35 minute drive. other than that there's not much to do around that area hang out at the resort or walk on the beach water that day was really rough so we were unable to swim in the ocean. read more

Recently stayed at Hammock Beach Resort for a work retreat. Overall the stay and resort was beautiful however I was highly disappointed in witnessing a female bartender in the Sports Bar Loggerheads attempted push Miller Lite on my colleague's when they ordered Bud Light. At first we thought it was mistaken communication, but when asked again for Bud Light she stated "you mean Miller Light right?!". Our company is global and very diverse company, the political approach from a Resort of this size was very disappointing. read more

This place is distasteful! My room looked amazing and the resort looked wonderful, but when i was going to take a shower, there was hair all over my supposed 'clean' towel. Once I checked the other towels, they were also covered in hair and stains. Do they not bleach or clean their towels? When we called to ask for more towels, they said they'd be up in a couple of minutes and never showed up, twice. The people are nice, but service is terrible and the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Not to mention that I am paying close to $600 a night, you get no amenities for free. All of the family fun activities, like glow in the dark mini golf cost money. It's only $5 per person, but when you have a family of 7, it adds up. This trip was a treat, and considering all of the money that my family and I are spending, we should be able to get family activities for free. I will not be coming back here, and if I were you, I wouldn't either, just book an air bnb and find you're own family fun activities to do for half the price and more of the fun. read more

If you plan to come here make sure you are with people you love and have a good time with, like I am, because this place is UNDERWHELMING in SERVICE. I planned on waiting to write this review but after seeing the pool attendants and wait staff do a happy dance about telling us the pool was closed due to thunder.... I thought.... "Wow, this is bad service and has sucked since arrival". Hey, I get having to leave a pool area for safety. This was our second time getting kicked out of the pool today. But seeing hotel staff express jubilance because they don't have to deal with customers and then seeing my niece and every other kids heart break on their last vacation before school made my stomach hurt. Other key points.... When I arrived, I waited for 20 minutes to check in because none of the 3 Concierge agents were at their desk. When I was directed to go to the bell person to get a luggage cart, I was told by him...and I quote... "I think I saw some on Parking Level 2 somewhere". Yep, I went to Parking Level 2 and walked around til I found one. No big deal sir; just took me 20 minutes to find one. When we called to make a reservation for Delfino's, a recording came on and said they were closed. However, today the concierge said they were open yesterday but the hostess must have been busy so it was our responsibility to keep calling and I guess somehow know they would be open at 5pm. When we went to the pool bar yesterday, we waited a long time for service because 3 of them were huddled together bitching about a customer. Yep, we could here youuuuu. I guess their on-duty therapy session was more important than taking our order. I could go on... but why... you get the point. I'd like to tell you about some of the good points about the facilities but with service like this we'll be going back to Coco Beach or Omni Amelia. We have lots of choices and chose to come here. However, we won't inconvenience the staff here in the future by spending money, and tipping anymore. read more

Disappointed.... I was excited to stay a few days at The Hammock Beach Resort. Pictures and reviews up u til we checked 8k seemed positive for the most part. We checked in on my fiances birthday. I notified the staff it was his birthday and we would prefer a room as best as possible considering our room grade. We checked in, only to find our rooms balcony was facing their construction renovations. There was a lovely view of the ocean.....just PAST the construction. I understand we were checking in after the New Year Holiday. But most resorts have posted on their web site...."resort under construction". Its just a courtesy. Not only this, but one of their main pools had a leak and was closed, and 2 out of their 3 spas were closed as well for renovations. This limited the available seating. Our first day at the resort and we ran out of toilet paper. There was no back up, and it was 3pm with no attendant in sight. We had to go to the front desk to request our room be turned down. On the plus side, BEAUTIFUL building. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room service attendant was kind and every staff member we met made us feel welcome. It was nice they have self parking so you arent forced to pay for valet every day. I see a lot of potential with this resort. However, for the money we spent, i could have found another resort in daytona beach or st augustine with more ammenities. read more

Mostly wonder and friendly help and food. Safe wouldn't open. Alex at front desk had no solution on Saturday except wait for engineer at 9. Transport for us at 9 am. If we had insulin or other urgent medication no one on property could help us. A maintenance man I think actually did have a key to safe and opened an hour later thank God. She apparently was clueless on that fact. Also AED behind desk in an office where in a cardiac arrest no patron could go grab and use within minutes to save a life. I had the most delicious breakfast this morning at the Atlantic restaurant! Garden omelette with the best breakfast potatoes. Our waiter was ver courteous and helpful. We were booked on the 4th floor in a three bedroom condo in the south tower. These condos have private elevators that guests are not allowed to use. the one and only elevator you're allowed to use was down so they could paint. long story short, after 3 hours of having to hoof it up and down the stairs, I was finally able to get David, the manager on the phone. He seemed indifferent (as well as many of the front desk staff). literally 3 hours of asking for help with a production amount of gear and they kept telling us We needed to use the stairs. The elevator wasn't broken, it was being painted and they wouldn't let us use the private elevator until I was able to get one of the valet/bellman to make things happen for us. I want to shout out to Devon and Andy in valet for their hard work and kindness. If I owned the place id promote Devon and fire David. we will never stay there again. read more

We booked a Holiday weekend with ocean view & terrace. When we arrived there was work on the outside of the buildings so that scaffolding was moving up & down, hammering and dust were there and the windows to our rooms and sliding doors to our terrace were covered in plastic with blue tape (I have the photos of all this) so NO views and NO terrace. Managers laughed and told us they had no other rooms & we could not get a reservation anywhere else so we were forced to stay. They charged us the FULL price & when we complained to American Express about the billing they outright LIED and said no work was being done. This place is really beautiful with gorgeous ocean view! We had 3 bedroom villa with ocean view . Rooms were pretty nice with palm tree designed furniture ,small kitchen,laundry room and balcony. Also they have big kids area pool with slides and lazy river,3 restaurants and sushi bar. The only thing I didn't like that check in time is not on time ,usually it's at 4pm but we have to wait 1.5 hours with kids in the car to get in our room . And be careful with your room card it's connected to your credit card ,if you loose it someone can use it anywhere around this hotel,they don't expect cash. read more

I reserved a one bedroom suite months in advance. I was looking forward to seeing the property as I was considering having my daughters wedding here. Luckily I had my reservation printed out with the confirmation. I get to the resort and we are directed not to the main building but to "The Lodge ". We can't find it and when we do we check in and the desk guy doesn't confirm the one bedroom suite. He also says we have to bring in our own luggage from a parking lot that's down a hill. Is this a Motel 6? We get to the room and it's literally a small room not a one bedroom suite. It was unacceptable. I go back to the desk and the guy confirms WE WERE DOWNGRADED to a room. What resort does that? They didn't call me or lower the price. After much to do they finally give me a suite that probably isn't used very often. No towels or tissues in room. It's old and basically run down. I would NOT recommend this property. Terrible service except for the guy who drives the cart. I'm not having a party here. I would not come back here. read more

The first room we went to (i think room 115 was horrible. ! However Alberta at the front was so friendly and helped us get in a new room that was awesome. The place is just a little run down all over campus. But, my husband said the golf course was amazing!! All of the restaurants were not open. The beach has rocks that are hidden out in the water. Be careful they can cut you when. body surfing. Just not what i expected for the money. Not horrible... But needs a refresh. Here are pics of the first room we were placed in. This was our second time at this resort. Both times associated with a conference I was attending. Overall this is a very nice location. The rooms all seem to be private condos so there is so variability in how the room are furnished, quality of the room etc. This trip we had a bit of an issue with the room. The room was not as well appointed as we had expected and although they could not move us they did give us a fairly nice discount on the room for our trouble. The grounds overall are very nice with multiple pools and beachfront with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. On weekends you need to get down there early to get a chair but otherwise OK. The fitness center is excellent. Lots of equipment all in excellent working order. 24 hour access with room key and plenty of cold water and fresh towels always available. My wife and son also rented a tennis court for an hour with a ball machine and rackets for only $25 which was a good deal for a nice court. Housekeeping was variable. Some days absolutely superb and excellent attention to details. Other days frankly a bit sloppy and not good at all. Also when checking in really no offer from bell staff to help with luggage. They just pointed us in the direction of our rooms. These 2 probably the biggest reasons 4 and not 5 stars. We did not eat at any of the on grounds restaurants this trip so really can't comment on either at present. Overall a very nice experience and location for us again. I suspect we will be back as we really like the area as a whole as well. read more

I would describe this resort as "adequate". It's a beautiful location and has a lot of potential, but is outdated and tired. The furnishings are like your grandmothers home, the TVs are old and small. The bathroom doesn't offer any privacy due to the louvered door to the bathroom and a 3/4 glass door for the toilet. We stayed at the lodge, there is no valet, and it takes 30 minutes to get a Bellman! Not the level of service you would expect from a resort. On the positive side, it is a beautiful area and they are pet friendly. read more

I have a Condo at the Hammock Beach resort and Tamoka property management is the property manager. I have several issues go un-addressed by this company. The funny thing is that the issues are not only damaging my own unit but other units as well and they are not even telling the property owners. There was a flood in mine and the neighboring room and they cleaned it up with towels. The carpet was soaked and the waste line was continuing to overflow and they use no sanitary methods to clean. It happened several times which allowed mine and the neighboring unit to be damaged. I was able to find the neighboring units owner and the Tomoka property manager told them "a little water got in the room and it was nothing to worry about" There with so much water that it's seeped through the concrete and into the floors below. ... that's not a little water! Nathan wade.. the "property manager" will not even return my calls. Days later I waste water backing up into my sink. I asked for calm and again nothing. This guy and Company are a poor excuse for property managers! If you own here and have costs associated with repair or mold....BEWARE!! The gross orange stuff Is what was pulled out of the pipes and has been found in my sink. read more

Property is unkept and the staff is beyond rude. Furniture in the common areas as well as rooms are damaged and old and dirty. Musty smell in closed areas. Restaurants are just as sad looking. Location is far from any entertainment let alone st Augustine Worst of everything is how unprofessional and rude staff is. read more

We stayed in the main tower with a beach view. The view and the beach is just spectacular. If that is all you are looking for.. stay here. However--- I was literally double billed for EVERYTHING )discovered on my credit card bill) and they are now giving me the runaround with their billing department-- apparently staffed by ONLY 1 person!! The coffee bar staff are AMAZING & the kindest & friendliest I have come across in many years!! BUT-- as wonderful as they were... the front desk/check-in crew were flat, lacked personality or any semblance of joy. The sportsbar restaurant had a VERY rude woman who was NOT the hostess-- she seemed like a manager-- but was at the hostess desk with the hostess. The food and waitstaff were great. The rooms are a bit outdated.. and we stayed in the room that was "remodeled". There was mold in the vents and doorframes.. We also ate at the poolside restaurant... the food took OVER 45 minutes to get to our table. We only ordered sandwiches and a salad. The waiter apologized. Lastly, the pools were very small and not enough seating to accommodate guests. The lazy river seemed very lazy, as the jets were NOT sufficient to push the floats. Once again, the beach was just beautiful. .. but there is NO beach food or drink service. All in all... you would be better off getting an airbnb on the beach... unless you golf... we dont--- I can not speak to the golf portion of the programming. EXPENSIVE Lesson learned. read more

Can't do 5 stars...it's hard for me to give a 5 star rating. We booked our room WELL in advanced with ocean view. Well although we had a view of the ocean, we were expecting our balcony to be facing the ocean, not having to lean over the rail to see it. We paid for the luxury accommodations...guess we know next time. Our rooms were SPECTACULAR and the staff was wonderful. Even the maintenance and house keeping were extremely friendly. We booked a 3 bedroom suite. Plenty of space for 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and a baby. Only downside was they seemed to put all the money in the master bedroom and living space, the other 2 bedrooms were your typical hotel bedroom. It was a short walk to the beach and plenty of activities going on at the resort, even on Christmas Day. We will stay here again, we absolutely loved it. Christmas 2018 was a success. read more

My husband and I came here for two nights (Tuesday-Thursday) to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We stayed in the main building (room 437) in a one bedroom suite with ocean view. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Cold a/c, separate shower and tub, coffee pot, small stove and refrigerator. Tv's in bedroom and living room. Balcony had a beautiful view of the pool, golf course and beach. We sat out there a lot. Watched the sunrise one morning from our balcony. There is a lot to do on property, pools, bikes, mini golf, gym. We ate at the Atlantic Grill and Delphinos and both were good. Service was good too. We ventured out and ate dinner at 386 one night. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it had nice ambiance and the food and service were very good. There were no ice machines available at the hotel, not sure if that was because of Covid 19 but you have to go to the lobby bar for ice. Also they are sticklers with their check-in time. Our room wasn't ready until 4:00. They will hold your stuff so you can go enjoy the property. Get to the pool early if you want to get a seat, it fills up. The beach is nice as well. Chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve. There doesn't seem to be a lot to do around the surrounding area, so pray for sunshine. It rained both days we were there and they closed down the pools. The first day it was closed for the rest of the afternoon and the second day they opened it back up but they could have done it sooner than they did. This seems to be a popular hotel for families. Overall we had a great stay and I wished we would have booked for 3 nights instead of two. We will be back, with our daughter next time. read more
