This business has been around for almost a decade - from what I understand - and I just happened to stop in for lottery tickets and (initially) some fountain drinks because it looks like your average convenience store. Then....I smelled PIZZA cooking so I moseyed towards the back and found the other owner/cook/chef and of course, I ordered a few slices of the various flavors offered here. not really a pizza place, more of a gas station. convenient and reasonable in price. If you need to get gas or any other items the it is worth it. The pizza is not bad, but it's not great. I wouldn't go out of your way to eat here since it has a gas station, but if you're hungry and passing through it is a less expensive alternative than the other pizza places. read more

I was working in the area and almost missed it as it's a gas station. Decided to give it a shot as it was almost lunch time. Small 3 table seating area between the soda/beer cooler and fishing gear. I asked for two slices of pepperoni burnt (my standard assessment order) The gentleman man taking my order asked if I was sure. I said okay almost burnt. He smiled and said 10 minutes. In short, it was a good NY stylee slice. Hot and fresh, a little light on pepperoni, thin crust, and lots of hot bubbling cheese. It's was downright decent zah. Could have been burnt a bit more, but I could have asked him to put my slices back in for a minute or three (he made a new pie for me) I may try the new "best pizza in Flagler" tomorrow. The food is on point. I usually do a a few slices of cheese pizza and fried mushrooms. To be honest the fried mushrooms are really what brings me in. The fryer they use is second to none. It is a counter top device that consistently produces perfectly cooked food. The pizza is also they I like it. The crust is done just right for me without any special instruction. It comes out with just enough "crispness" on the crust. Service is also on point as it usually is a staff of one person, the owner. He is really invested in his business. He cares about his product and your order. Even though it is counter service, do not let that deter you. I am in town for business and really needed to stay in the condo tonight and get some work done. The guard at the condo suggested Hammock Pizza so I gave it a shot. I gotta say, if this is "typical gas station pizza" like a previous reviewer commented, I want gas stations like that where I live! The pizza arrived in about 40 minutes as quoted by the person taking my order and was piping hot. I also ordered garlic knots and was surprised... unlike any I have ever had. Fresh garlic on top. Very good. The pizza is what I would call "Brooklyn style". Medium hand tossed crust and generous cheese and toppings. Yes the bottom of the crust was "charred", as is typical of a brick oven pizza. It was not burnt and the flavor was great. Finally, I gotta say is was a tremendous value. It was delivered right to my building (elevator was being difficult so I just met the driver in the parking lot) and I didn't have to get out in the storms. Delivered our huge order to Cinnamon Beach in less than an hour. Sausage Pizza was still warm, loaded with sweet sausage, and very tasty. The Italian Cold Sub was packed with meat and also delicious. The Chicken Parm Sub was still warm on arrival and very tender & tasty. All sandwiches were surprisingly huge and, at less than $9, don't break the bank. The Caprese Salad was fresh; the cannoli and zeppolis were also above average. Note that the online menu is out of date at time of this review, so a few items we tried to order are no longer available. I've included pics of the current menu. Gas station pizza at its best. We stayed at the Hammock Beach Resort and called in our order of a large cheese pizza and a large pepperoni. Pizza from the gas station! From the street, you wouldn't think to stop at Hammock Pizza because it's connected to the gas station, but I read good reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I really enjoyed it! They had some great specialty pizzas, lots of toppings, and I liked the flavor and thicker crust than what I've seen elsewhere. For the area, it's definitely in my top 3. The owner seemed really open to specialty considerations, and the staff was super friendly! Although it's not a casual dine-in spot, there are a few tables to sit and eat, but grabbing it to-go is probably fitting for most. read more

We were both hungry for pizza and did not wnt to go over the bridge into Palm Coast, so I searched Yelp and found Hammock Pizza, which was amazingly just down the road. A little difficult to find because it is inside the gas station. But definitely worth the trouble. We ordered the 16- inch Hawaiian with added mushrooms. Unfortunately it will be enough for 3 meals for 3 days. We took it home and to my surprise I was shocked to see FRESH mushrooms. You rarely get fresh mushrooms on anything these days. I was a little nervous cause it was connected to a gas station and was I never so wrong before. The menu was really sizeable (like the portions lol) and the creativity in what was on the counter made me fall in love. I have never seen some of the things that were offered. I went with a cheese steak because it advertised "Philadelphia style hand tossed pizza." Packed with meat and cheese with an amazing bread that they toasted. This establishment is very close to where we are staying. So, we decided to go in and order a couple of subs to take back to our condo. I ordered a cold roast beef. When we got back to the condo, I opened the sub to find 4 burnt pieces of capicola, and no ROAST BEEF. My husband went back to exchange it. The bread is old and stale. Hammock Pizza is a great small town pizzeria. The dough is hand tossed and not the cheap frozen kind, so it actually looks like a real authentic pizza. They used the perfect amount of toppings on our 16" supreme pizza. The pizza was hot and fresh when we picked it up. I am also a pizza cook and I must say that they really know what they are doing. Not to mention their prices are great. The pizzeria is located in a gas station but don't let that influence your decision. Also, the staff was very friendly. I ordered a burger and fries with cheese along with a soda. The person who delivered is mainly the reason of why I'm giving any stars at all. I opened the bag and took my burger out. I started biting into it and you'd expect some good at least decent tasting and instead the burger tasted like a 1$ gas station burger. Under the extra directions button from the order I added Cherry Vanilla Coke and they called me saying that they didn't have that. I said to just give me a regular coke and the delivery person took time out of his day to grab a jolly rancher cherry soda which I thought of as pretty awesome that he did that. The fries were also pretty awesome but the cheese seemed to be like half melted and right in the middle not all around. Overall I believe that they could improve the quality of the burger for the price it is and the cheese being put on the fries needs to be kinda mixed up. Haven't tried anything else but really the stars are mainly the taste of the fries and the customer service.
