This business has been around for almost a decade - from what I understand - and I just happened to stop in for lottery tickets and (initially) some fountain drinks because it looks like your average convenience store. Then....I smelled PIZZA cooking so I moseyed towards the back and found the other owner/cook/chef and of course, I ordered a few slices of the various flavors offered here. Everything was delicious!!! They have a full menu of pizzas, subs, samosas and more! Look forward to trying more when in the Palm Coast area. Wonderful owners and customer service!

Basic NY stylee pepperoni slice (2)

I was working in the area and almost missed it as it's a gas station. Decided to give it a shot as it was almost lunch time. Small 3 table seating area between the soda/beer cooler and fishing gear. I asked for two slices of pepperoni burnt (my standard assessment order) The gentleman man taking my order asked if I was sure. I said okay almost burnt. He smiled and said 10 minutes. In short, it was a good NY stylee slice. Hot and fresh, a little light on pepperoni, thin crust, and lots of hot bubbling cheese. It's was downright decent zah. Could have been burnt a bit more, but I could have asked him to put my slices back in for a minute or three (he made a new pie for me) I may try the new "best pizza in Flagler" tomorrow. But maybe not. This scratched that itch just fine. Have to try the local bbq next.

I am in town for business and really needed to stay in the condo tonight and get some work done. The guard at the condo suggested Hammock Pizza so I gave it a shot. I gotta say, if this is "typical gas station pizza" like a previous reviewer commented, I want gas stations like that where I live! The pizza arrived in about 40 minutes as quoted by the person taking my order and was piping hot. I also ordered garlic knots and was surprised... unlike any I have ever had. Fresh garlic on top. Very good. The pizza is what I would call "Brooklyn style". Medium hand tossed crust and generous cheese and toppings. Yes the bottom of the crust was "charred", as is typical of a brick oven pizza. It was not burnt and the flavor was great. Finally, I gotta say is was a tremendous value. It was delivered right to my building (elevator was being difficult so I just met the driver in the parking lot) and I didn't have to get out in the storms. I will definitely order again if I am back in the area.

OMG!! SOOO GOOD! Yes it's in a gas station but it's legit! GET THE GARLIC KNOTS!! I didn't see them on the menu but they had them. Wow. They were mind blowing and the pizza too. Veggie pizza! So good. Can't wait to go back. People there were SO nice.

Veggie Somosas ! The best !

Wow. Delicious! I Needed to eat quick tonite after working and running around all day. Stopped in for a pepperoni pizza and order of veggie Samosas! They were so good. Maybe the best Somosas I've had and tasty sauce to dip them in. We will be back ! Thanks.

Fifth Element Indian Kitchen 1448 W International Speedway…read moreBlvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 I really wanted to like Fifth Element Indian Kitchen, but this visit was a complete letdown. We ordered the Thali expecting a well-rounded, flavorful Indian meal--but what arrived at the table was far from it. The food was served cold, which immediately set the tone. Naan, which should be soft, warm, and slightly crisp on the edges, was instead leathery and overly chewy, almost as if it had been sitting out far too long. The Thali was supposed to include chicken biryani and chicken curry, but both dishes missed the mark entirely. The chicken served was dark thigh meat, which in itself isn't an issue when cooked right--but here, it lacked any depth or proper preparation. More disappointing was the complete absence of flavor. Indian cuisine is known for its rich layers of spices and aromas, but everything on the plate felt bland and lifeless, as if the spices were an afterthought rather than the heart of the dish. Adding to the disappointment, the interior decor felt very dated and gloomy, lacking the warmth or vibrancy you'd hope for in a dining space. The bathrooms were also filthy, which only made the overall experience worse. Having dined at several Indian restaurants, we know what a good Thali should taste like--balanced, vibrant, and satisfying. This was none of that. It felt rushed, poorly executed, and lacking the care that defines authentic Indian cooking. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.

The location is fantastic right across from the castle in the heart of Old St. Augustine. Before sitting down to eat, we walked around and checked out the Southern Lights Candle Shop nearby and picked up a few things. It's a very nice shop and highly recommended if you're in the area. We had the butter chicken, spinach chicken, and lamb with rice and naan (bread), and everything was absolutely delicious. The setting is a super cute outdoor garden with a relaxed, cozy vibe. They have fans for warmer days and heat lamps when it's cooler, making it comfortable year-round. The drink selection is solid as well. I had two Indian Rupee beers the IPA and the lager and both tasted amazing. The lager was my favorite, but I'd definitely recommend trying both. My wife really enjoyed the wine and sangria; the red sangria was her favorite, though all three were excellent. Great food, warm hospitality, an awesome atmosphere, and a prime location in Old St. Augustine definitely a place worth checking out.

We started with cauliflower Manchurian, onion pakoda, samosa chaat, and Chicken 65--everything came out fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. For the entrees, we tried the mixed meat platter, the curries were extremely delicious from madras, tikka, makhani to Kerala fish curry, and the Chettinad cashew coconut chicken curry with black pepper. Each dish was so flavorful fresh and the spices were so aromatic. The naan was excellent across the board--garlic, classic, cheese and especially the date Peshwari naan... SO delicious. Slightly sweet, soft, and honestly a must-order. Yum yum yum! We ended the meal with dessert & chai. Had the traditional dessert ras malai, gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and rabri a new dessert that the chef was making all with masala chai--such a warm, sweet and flavorful finish. This place is a gem that delivers on every level--from ambiance to flavor to service. The restaurant itself is spotless, modern, and inviting, with a relaxed upscale vibe that fits perfectly with its beachside surroundings. Plenty of parking makes it easy to pull in, settle down, and enjoy a proper meal without any hassle. We started off strong with the cauliflower Manchurian and onion pakoda--both came out fresh, hot, and perfectly crisp. You can tell right away when a kitchen respects texture, and they nailed it. The samosa chaat was layered with flavor, and the Chicken 65 brought just the right kick--crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned beautifully. For mains, we explored a bit, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. The mixed meat platter was generous and well-balanced, the Kerala fish curry had that deep, coastal spice profile, and the cashew coconut chicken curry with black pepper had a rich, aromatic heat that lingered in the best way. Every dish carried depth--nothing tasted one-dimensional. Of course, no Indian meal is complete without naan, and both the garlic and regular versions were excellent. But the real standout? The Peshwari naan--slightly sweet from chopped dates, soft, and just indulgent enough to feel special. That alone is worth coming back for. The drink selection is another plus--they've got a solid lineup of wines, beers, and spirits if you're in the mood to pair your meal. And considering the quality and portion sizes, the pricing feels more than fair. We wrapped things up with a full spread of desserts--ras malai, gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and a warm cup of masala chai. Each one hit that comforting, traditional note you hope for at the end of a great Indian meal. This isn't just another Indian restaurant--it's a place that clearly cares about doing things right. Whether you're a local or just passing through between Jacksonville and Orlando, this is absolutely a stop worth making.

The menu offers a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, and I really appreciate that they allow you to customize the spice level to your preference. That makes it accessible whether you're new to Indian food or someone who enjoys a little heat. The daily lunch buffet is also a big plus, especially if you want to sample different dishes in one visit. The food itself is good and well-prepared, with solid flavors and generous portions. That said, it does feel like the kitchen leans toward catering to the general market. The spice profiles are toned down, and while that makes the dishes approachable, it slightly softens the authenticity you might expect from a more traditional Indian restaurant. One subtle indicator of that broader appeal is the wine list -- something you don't often see emphasized in more classic, traditional Indian establishments. That being said, Ammrit strikes a reasonable balance. It offers familiar, comfortable Indian cuisine that works well for a wide audience while still delivering recognizable flavors and quality ingredients. If you're looking for dependable Indian food in South Daytona with flexible spice options and a welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit.

I strongly encourage anyone thinking about visiting this restaurant to scroll through the reviews and read the owner's replies carefully. What stands out is not just one emotional response or a single bad interaction. There appears to be a pattern of hostile and personal responses toward customers. Instead of addressing feedback professionally, the owner frequently insults reviewers, criticizes their families, and in several replies tells customers to "go back where you came from" or suggests they should leave the country. When this type of language appears repeatedly across multiple reviews, it stops looking like a moment of frustration and begins raising serious concerns about the way customers are viewed and treated. Restaurants are part of the hospitality industry. Even when a customer leaves a negative review, the expectation is that business owners respond professionally and respectfully. Most establishments understand that the way they communicate with the public reflects directly on their business. What is visible here is the opposite. Many of the responses appear confrontational, dismissive, and personal rather than constructive. It is also difficult to ignore the contradiction that this establishment presents itself as an Indian restaurant, yet several replies include statements telling customers to "go back where you came from" or remarks about how this is "America, not India." Language like that understandably raises concerns for many readers. Businesses that serve the public have a responsibility to treat customers equally and respectfully. In the United States, restaurants are considered places of public accommodation and are expected to comply with federal and state civil rights laws that prohibit discrimination based on factors such as race, national origin, or religion. If any customer ever experiences discriminatory treatment or is refused service based on their background, they should know that they have the right to document the incident and report it to the appropriate civil rights authorities or consumer protection agencies. Before deciding to eat here, I strongly recommend taking a few minutes to read the owner's responses to reviews. Those replies often reveal more about a business than the menu or marketing ever will. Respect and professionalism are fundamental to hospitality. Based on what is publicly visible in the review section, those qualities appear to be missing here.
