I didn't realize after calling other plumbers other companies don't charge this call, I paid about 260 or $270 to have one toilet unclogged. It literally took a $50 auger and one minute of their time it's not brain surgery it's plumbing. Licking back, I should have just gone out and bought the $50 auger myself which we did after they left Feeling completely foolish for using this company they are very nice to talk to you but somehow I think there is a sliding scale here and when they walk into a house that looks very presentable and clean the rate looking back at it was outrageous It would like seeing a doctor, and I feel like I saw the proctologist. This company will waste your time. Called Hammond Services for AC Maintenance repair and spoke with Ashley. Ashley asked me a series of questions prior to transferring me to Alex in Dispatch. Alex proceeded to ask another series of questions. Then told me a tech would be available next day. This company WILL NOT give you an arrival time or estimated timeframe of arrival. You are at their discretion and required to wait around all day for their call/text. It is now 1618hrs and I've taken the day from work for a possible costly repair and for no tech to call or show. It's sad a company that provides a service can't in return respect possible customers time and give beneficial updates or cancellation notices. I've read the reviews and I'm thankful others with similar experiences have shared who they were able to relay on for guaranteed service. read more

I used this company to remove a Tesla wall charger from my garage wall. They were really fast to show up to the house but once they got to my house he said he could do the job on the spot , so I asked how much. He said "hmmm $60 + the time, it should come in less than a few hundred" so in my mind I was thinking nothing more than $200. It took him 10 minutes to remove the charger and put on the plastic wall covering and then he said ok I'm done, and then he completely robbed me by charging me $345!!!!!! They installed a Rheem gas hot water heater in March 2021. it failed in April 2022. They would not replace because it had 1month past wa year warranty since intalled. They charged me $400plus to install new part which they said could possibly fail again. They indicated that this Rheem model had been a problem. So, why are they installing them??! Yesterday I had a great plumber I've used before remove a toilet so that ship lap paneling could be installed. He got a call from customer that had a leaking hot water heater. That started the conversation about my hot water heate. He looked at it and immediately said that this is not installed to code!! Plastic pipes used that should be copper plus it's not sitting in a pan!! So, I WOULD NOT recommend this company at all! read more

On January 31st 2026 I called Hammond Services to come to my home because my heat went out and I wanted an evaluation in order to find out what was causing my heat to shut off and no heat coming via the vents. Technician Davon Dauchot was the one assigned to resolved my request. He got to my house and could not figured out was causing the problem with my heat and stated that I will need to replaced my brand new furnace that was installed 2 months ago when i bought my house and it will cost me between $2000.00 and $6000.00 in order to have heat . He said contact the warranty and they shold help with the cost. I then decided to contact another company . Mr. Greg Williams from Heating &Air conditioning Services. Mr.Williams got to my house on Sunday Febuary 1st 2026 and was able to just put a new heating switch box and my request was resolved and it only cost $50,00. Mr. Williams was professional and caring and was concerned that I was left my company Hammond without heat and not caring for a 67 year old lady but try to take advantage and decided to charged me for a new furnace system . Hammond Services was just about the money . I be contacting Company Williams Heating &Air condition Services for any other problem that I may encounter. I am very disappointed for the poor customer service that I got from Hammond Services that just wanted to take advantage and try to charged me &7000.00 to installed a new Furnace. The tech had to called his manager to try to figured the problem and decided at end just say we need to change another furnace. Very Poor evaluation . Very unprofessional . My request about my heat was resolved the day after by Williams Heat &Air Condition Services and only took 30 min to figured that problem. I have now had Hammond Services do some plumbing repairs. They spotted and corrected a code violation with the hot water heater. Saved me from some expensive water damage as there was a leak not easily detected. He fixed what Home Depot had failed to fix in two installations. Also repair a pipe. I really needed him to do one more thing. Because I couldn't quite afford it, he did what he could to improve the situation until I can have a complete repair. Because you do not have to wait a week or more to get them to come for basic repairs, I feel certain will be able to schedule it before it is a major problem. Their services are not cheap but I think it is a good value for the money. read more

Two recent HVAC experiences inspired this recommendation and this warning. I recently called CW Comfort Solutions and was more than pleased. For a very reasonable fee, CW came out, inspected the heating system at the Henry Herald building, and fixed up what was in need of repair. I would highly recommend CW any day of the week. 10 out of 10. Unfortunately, before I called CW, I made the mistake of calling Hammond Services, Inc.. They inspected that same heating system, made no repairs, and charged OVER TRIPLE the fee!! It was a disgusting, wicked, outrageous way to treat a customer. I confronted Hammond with this fact after CW had treated me well, but Hammond obstinately defended their rip-off price and so-called service. Hammond left me with nothing but disappointment and regret that I had ever reached out to their company. I wish I'd never heard of Hammond. Extremely expensive for the work that was done. Never again !! Charged $220 to cut out a small piece of sheet rock. and over $300 to replace a 2 inch long 1/2 inch piece of pex. Probably $20 to $30 in parts, That includes the connectors. Honestly, I should have done the work myself. Laziness cost me over $600 for 30 min of actual work time..and I still have to fix the sheet rock for the approx. 6inch X 20inch piece that was removed. Called early in the morning to see if they had same day service. Rep kept avoiding the question but kept wanting info. Basically saying they have to finish the step of getting info before they can find out availability. After getting all the info says we need a Credit card on file before dispatch will call you with times. Reluctantly gave it to them. Missed the call from dispatch but called them back immediately. Was told by rep that earliest would be the next day. Told them how frustrating it was that from the very beginning I was stressing that I need this done today and no one could answer that and took a credit card info before telling me, then she transferred me to dispatch. Magically with in 20 seconds they had a cancellation, dispatch had a HUGE ATTITUDE talking to me, I'm guessing rep told her I was upset. I asked her does she know what time, she said no they don't go by time they go by day. These business owners need to really check these employees and their attitudes. I was very disappointed with this Company as I thought they were one of the best in my community. Also, Customer Service was always great until I had a problem. i'm not sure what happened when the Tech came out to do my Fall Maintenance Service, except the next day I did not have any HOT WATER which carried over to the weekend. I managed to get someone in on Sunday afternoon (which was an additional cost) to restore my hot water. I recently bought my first house at 924 Sharon and was smelling gas. My wife called Hammond and a technician, Marty Coats, came out to diagnose the issue. Bad valve. Probably cost something like $400 bucks to replace. The heater is 12 years old so he suggested a new one. $1800 bucks. Holy crapMarty! The national average is like what? $1100? I work in Hospitality HVAC contracting so I'm used to people trying to screw me so... I drilled Marty pretty hard on the phone. It didn't help he was in my basement with my wife while I was at work. Throughout the interaction, Marty was the consummate professional in demeanor, unwavering in his appraisal, and very confident in the work he proposed. I requested an itemized quote, with the model number of the unit that I could dive into and sent him away. Abruptly. After I read the itemized quote and did a little research on the model of Rheem he quoted I relaxed. I realized that he legitimately was attempting to just provide a service and ultimately to do good work. So I called dispatch and scheduled the installation. Marty did a great job representing Hammond Services, and I will recommend him and Hammond to other potential customers because of this interaction. read more

Had a home inspection performed with a good sized list of small plumbing repairs. Had Hammond services come and give an estimate. The estimate was over 10k. I knew immediately it was a rip-off. I sent 2 other plumbers to the home with the same list of repairs in the next few days and both of their quotes were within 5% of each other around the $2000-$2500 mark as I expected. Buyer beware - not sure how to justify such a price difference from other qualified, reputable plumbing companies. read more

Update- the next morning, after Mike's visit, we had no hot water throughout the house as opposed to the original issue of inconsistent hot water in the master bath. Hammond then sent James Yevick since it was now the weekend and he was the plumber on call. He was fabulous!! He refused to be satisfied until he knew exactly the problem (and it was quite hidden) and fixed it. James was extremely thorough, persistent and professional. I have used Hammond twice now. the techs are nice but that's were it ends. first time i called for a service check up, tech said everything was good no problems. little did he know that the units were blowing warm air. i didn't tell him to see if he would find anything. (most times you tell them what you think and for sure they will find something to charge you for) so i call back three weeks later for a tech to come out this time i told them what was wrong, (blowing warm air) the tech said one of the units was low in freon the other was fine. He never checked the filters on the blowers or anything. so he added freon and charge a lot of money for this and said both units are in good shape. 25 days later we have warm air blowing again. i will allow them to correct there problem if they can. but ill be dammed if i am paying $1000 again. not happy with there service skills. read more

I called Hammond Services with a leaky pipe over my (2 yr old) hot water heater. The technician said that ALL the plumbing/pipes would have to be replaced because it wasn't "up to code" and tried to sell me a new water heater, all for the reasonable price of $6,000. When I declined that fine offer, he stated that the bare minimum (repairing all the plumbing to be "up to code") would be around $1,000. When I inquired about just fixing the leaky area in question, I was told that wasn't possible. Thankfully I dodged this bullet and sent Hammond Services packing, because another company came and fixed it for $350 the next day (and told me if I ever choose to replace my hot water heater, they'll do it for $1,100). first I will start off by saying I don't have time to write a book about all the bad things we have experienced with Hammon. 2019 we moved here from out of town. We had hammond ins two separate hvac systems. We opted to by the best out of the six shown us. It was a York. Since then we have had Hammond out so many times with issues I lost count. One issue was a water leak that was so bad Sheetrock and flooring needed to be replaced.They have already replaced the motors!! one of the techs told us that York had issues they knew about but still installed them. Now I heard they stopped. We are in the process of getting a lawyer and contactIngles the BBB. We spent over 18,000. On these systems and HAMMOND has yet to tell us what they are going to do to insure our investment will be covered. read more
