All the guys at Yotamasters are great. I did my regear on my 5th Gen 4Runner here and it's been a great customer experience. They were super helpful with any questions I had before and after the regear. They answered questions on what gear ratio I should select, provided input on installing front lockers or not, and gave details on the regear break-in process. After 6ish months regeared I developed a very small leak at the front diff/driver side CV. I DM'd Yotamasters and Eric got me scheduled to fix the leak the first Monday morning he could. They diagnosed the leak and replaced the axle seal at no charge. Had me on my way before noon. They were very transparent and let me know what caused the leak and what they did to repair it. It goes to show that they stand behind their work and if there is any issues they will prioritize to fix it. Additionally, I call/DM Yotamasters regarding issues/concerns I'm having with my Toyota (even non regear related) and they're always super helpful to discuss what the issues may be. Dan knows his stuff and talks out what the brought up issue might be and what he would do as a mechanic to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue. Super helpful and respectful. Great shop. After picking up a '96 4Runner Limited, (which was an absolute project) I did some quick research and found YotaMasters. Initially, I had brought in my 4Runner to have the 4WD system looked at and figured I'd have it lifted as well. After a couple phone calls, I pretty much learned my suspension, ball joints, etc, were shot. I pretty much had accepted when I bought the car, I could tell the original owner had done no maintenance whatsoever to it. Danny and Eric were both awesome and helped get me on track to getting this project going. They reached out, got all the parts ordered in quick, and even hooked it up with some other parts. I even asked for some honest advice on changing out certain springs or getting bigger tires, and they were always helpful. All in all, with the amount of work that 4Runner needed, they had it done within 2 days and the 4WD engages like its brand new. Four years ago I drove my 4Runner to Yotomasters and was absolutely ecstatic with their work. They saved my baby! Fast forward to the present and this time it's my daughter who drove her Tacoma around the OC until she complained about how the world stunk like rotting fish all the while overheating that puppy until it just died on the 57. Cant thank the Yotamasters crew and Eric enough for fixing my 4wd system and making my new j shifter t case function properly! My 2001 Tacoma originally had an electric transfer case until it finally gave out on me... replacing the actuator was going to cost me around 1,200 dollars... called Yotamasters and spoke to Eric and told me i could convert it to a manual j shifter t case and saved me so much money by doing so.. after i installed the t case i took it to them and they did all the electrical wiring and bam my 4wd works like new. Well after going to three different mechanics to try and find my mysterious sound that was in my 99 Limited 4x4 4Runner. I talked to Eric for about 15 minutes telling him everything I have work on, inspected, replaced trying to fix this noise that would not go away. Soon we were off on a test drive so he could hear my sound. Well sure enough just as I told Eric it would the sound came. He assured me that the issue was not what we were thinking originally (Fan Bracket Bearing on the 3.4 Engine). After getting back to the shop he pull the tire off. Well low and behold the problem was a faulty part that was just put in about a month ago(Rotor). It was just out of round enough that it was hitting something in the caliper. He was able to find the smallest of rub mark that so many misses on inspections. The Rotor was just out of specs by the hundredth of an inch. I know this sounds small but I literately have tried to track this down for over a month and it was making me crazy. To have a Tech find it in under ten minutes after actually listening to me was AMAZING! This is a fantastic shop everyone. It is not fancy by any means but the work the guys do is simply amazing. You should know just by the trail rig they build by hand all around the shop for other customers that come from all over So-Cal to them. In the end the bottom line is simple. If you own a Toyota rest assure that this is the only place that you need to go. They guys have been going strong for over 30 years now. Need I say more! I've been going to Yotamasters for approximately 5 years now. I use them for all of my maintenance and custom work on my Toyota 4x4's. They have done everything for me from differentials, clutches, timing belts, custom welding, brake jobs, etc. I live an hour away but still use them exclusively and trust them explicitly. I called the day before thanksgiving just wanted to set up to get some work done on 2012 Highlander, girl that answered said someone would call me on Friday or Saturday to set up a time to bring it in. She did say might be a couple weeks out, no problem. No call backs so I called again on 11/28/17, same girl, I explained I never got a call back, can we set something up. She again said someone would give me a call later that day. No call that day or the day after that or any day thereafter. Review is on poor customer service (no call backs) not on any work done. Took my 1974 Toyota Land Cruise FJ40 in for a suspension upgrade, and to get brake cylinders checked. Dan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They did all the work within the estimated time frame and price. They did an outstanding job. I was told prior to picking up my vehicle that while they were working on It they damaged my master brake cylinder. Yotamaster showed integrity not exemplified by many. They advised me of their mistake, and replaced the master cylinder, no cost to me!! They could've easily told me that it was already damaged and I wouldn't have known better and charged me. I took it over to Yota Masters and told Eric the vibration issues I was having. Later that day not only did he find the problem but he got it fixed.
