I've called triple A 2 times now for my Toyota Tundra battery needing a jump both times they have sent out hammer towing and both times I have had the same driver named Gerry with the battery service department. First time Gerry came out I was running late due to my other car being at the dealership for repairs. Gerry came out quickly and was able to get my car jumped right away and was so friendly and a nice gentleman to talk to both my wife and I were impressed with his kindness, professionalism, and customer service. He than came out again to today for my car having the same problem and he was just as friendly as the first time. He is great at what he does and is always friendly and willing to go the extra mile. This is the most disgusting place ever.. words don't even describe how horrible this business and its people are.. they are CROOKS!!! That is to say the least, all they care about is the money they have absolutely no compassion whatsoever. I so happen to live in a community that does street sweeping and the every Wednesday afternoon for 4 hours and it so happens that even if you're car isn't moved by the time street sweeping starts they will tow away your car and charge you $300 to get it out!! Keep in mind the car was only on the street of community for 30 minutes and I have lived in my community for 6 years and previously they have left a warning on other cars and in my own experience on a few of my friends cars... they have even gone as far as unhooking the car as it was already on the tow truck so what made this time different... the man I spoke to on the phone was rude and didn't care about my situation and when arrived to the location the lady I spoke with was even more insincere. I am 19 years old, I'm a full time college student, and I barely work 10 hours a week....... how am I supposed to afford $300. The lady wasn't considerate and wouldn't even consider my circumstances and even said if you want the car out be back in 45 minutes and the money and then you can get the car out... worst service ever!!!!! I wish I could leave no stars because this place is awful. To top it off the lady in the front named Deana was very offensive to my boyfriend calling him out because he went by a shortened (American) version of his name instead of his full name which happened to be of Mexican origin and she got upset because she couldn't distinguish that Roger was short for Rogelio. She even went as far as saying "oh how interesante" like that doesn't give you permission to be racist. My boyfriend and I took this as a poke at our race being that both of us are Mexican... we both felt personally uncomfortable and judged. read more

Gerry to the rescue! My car battery died at work in Corona, CA and I just had a 45 minute lunch to get my car serviced. I allotted AAA a window of about 20 minutes at 10a.m. on a weekday to arrive during my lunch and Gerry reached my workplace in 15 minutes! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I decided to have my car battery replaced due to an under-performing cell and Gerry made sure to carefully change the battery out so that all my computerized and electronic presets didn't cancel. My son was stuck on the 15 freeway and needed a tow to a local shop. After calling AAA they sent Hamner towing. We had the option of sending the car to another shop but decided to go ahead and send to Hammer towing. They had the car for 2 weeks which I thought was a little long, however they took care of the issue at a reasonable price (I checked other shops and they would have been more). About 1 week later the engine light came back on and we called them thinking it was the same issue. They corrected the problem (different issue than previous). They did this at no cost to us. It is the business to call if you need automobile support. I do however, wish there were more satellite offices throughout CA because they would control the market. Particularly of special acknowledgement is my towing technician Mr. RayJ. He is "hands down" the ultimate "standout" professional and reason I'm taking the time to write this review. He exemplifies professionalism, genuine kindness and courtesy. He effortlessly turned the proverbial "bad day" into a stress free experience. Perhaps, that may seem unbelievable to anyone who might think a tow makes a difference. But I will put any other tow business or for that matter technician up against Mr. RayJ. He will be the head and shoulders above all. Promote him early, or give him more responsibility! More specifically, Mr. RayJ insured my safety alongside a very busy and dangerous freeway. He offered me multiple bottles of water and his truck was unquestionably immaculate. I watched as he managed my BMW onto the flatbed. Great company! I had a dead battery. Called AAA, and they dispatched Hamner Towing. This is the second time they have serviced my cars for battery issues. Gerry is very professional, trust-worthy, and did an excellent job. He had a print-out of the status of the battery and charging system, which is perfect so you can see the facts. Since the battery was dead, I decided to go ahead and purchase a new AAA battery from them that he said he could bring back in about an hour from the shop & install. Great price and 3 year warranty. Had my car break down on the 15 south last week. Apparently, flat bed tow trucks are pretty hard to come by during rush hour. Anyway, they had the earliest one (which was still a 30 min wait), but the guy was very nice, was very careful with my car, and did a good job. I paid $150 because I don't have AAA, which seemed a little high, but not unreasonable. I would use them again (although I think I might buy AAA now). read more

Our truck was stolen early last week. The police found it on Friday and our truck was parked here. We weren't notified until Tuesday, in the meantime being charged $50 per day + the towing charge. I had a scary situation on the 15 north freeway when my window was smashed out by a rock or something. I got off the freeway and dealt with my window but in my stress I must have left my car on so my battery died. I just thought my car was broken. lol In any case AAA called Hamner Towing out to tow me to my dealer. Although they said they would be to me within an hour Ray from Hamner towing called me in about 5 minutes and said he would be there in 10 minutes and I also received a text alert he was on his way. Yup, I only had to wait about 15 minutes from when I made the call to when he rolled up! Ray was super helpful and friendly. Assessed the situation and said it was probably just my battery. It was a very hot and muggy day so he had me sit in the cab of his air conditioned truck while he jumped the battery. He then recommended where to go to have my battery checked for free. Had a problem with my battery, got a tow company (pro towing) to come out, found my battery was at 2 volts, they jumped me and sent me on my way, went to get gas and my battery wouldn't start again, got hamner to come out and Gerry, great guy, was very knowledgeable of what was going on and found that the battery was bad and a jump wouldn't cut it. Changed the battery out and helped me on my way, this was so painless and easy to deal with someone that knows what was going on. I left my lights on at the doctor's office and ended up with a dead battery. Called AAA. The guy took a long time to get there. Weak battery he said, so I agreed to buy a new battery for $99.00. It took him forever to install the battery......and then he cranked so hard on the hold-down nuts that he broke the battery hold-down. Instead of offering to fix the thing, he told me I could get one at the dealer. I give him the benefit of the doubt and even tipped him, but I am bummed because the whole process took so long that now I'm sitting in traffic on account of it. I get home, and it turns out that there was nothing wrong with the hold-down clamp, he really did break the thing because he was careless. So now, I've lost enough time that I could have driven to Auto-Zone, bought the battery, installed it myself, and been money ahead. It took me a good hour to fix the battery hold-down, but at least I didn't have to buy a new battery tray and hold-down from the dealer. I needed a motorcycle tow on a Saturday afternoon. Called AAA and they called Hamner Towing, our driver was Carl. He was stuck in a little traffic (but who isn't out off the 91/15 change?!?) but he called to let us know of the delay. When he arrived, his truck was super clean! It looked brand new, inside and out!!! Loading the bike he treated it as his own. Everything on the truck was organized - he wasn't running around the truck trying to find whatever it is he needed. He used motorcycle straps on the handle bars (instead of metal hooks on my chrome!) and secured the rear with straps on my frame. He put a towel between the strap and the frame so it wouldn't scratch my frame. Attention to detail was awesome! His personality/attitude was outstanding. We were 38 mi from home, in the middle of a heavy traffic area. He took us the back way, to avoid some of that traffic. Always an A+!! ((IF I GET TOWED AGAIN, I WANT CARL!!!)
