We have been on a 3 week road trip and somehow I choose this hotel which took us about 25 miles off the Interstate we were on. But it took us by a food stand where we purchased some food to take to our hotel which was still 10 miles away. It was going on 7:30 pm so it was helpful to grab the food and crash at The hotel. Little did we know that there was a small strip mall anchored with a grocery store across the street from the hotel. But grabbing the carne food was a treat. I was surprised when I walked into the lobby as it was bright and welcoming. From the reviews I was expecting an older model. We have just spent 16 nights in hotels and this one was pretty good in comparison. The front desk clerk was engaging when we checked in. Our room had an updated bathroom with a walk in shower and higher toilets. Something a few of the others were lacking. I have an injured knee and hip so this is welcomed. The king size suite was roomy. It was a bit warm in the room but my husband figured out "the system" and I was cold waking up. One of the hardest sleeps I've had in a few days. Breakfast was the usual for these hotels. My husband went down for a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, sausage and scrambled eggs. He remarked that they had Captain Crunch-a cereal he hasn't seen in years. We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. read more

The rooms were clean and comfortable. It drives me nuts that hotels are doing away with dresser drawers. There were pantry-like shelves but there was not enough hangers and drawers for two people for five days of clothes. I hate living out of a suitcase. That said, the staff was great. The breakfast options were decent. And I love their lotion and soap products. But the walls are pretty thin. Thumping, talking, and TVs late into the night. I appreciated the amenities - laundry, pool, exercise room. And snacks (fruit, cookies, fruit-infused water). Overall, a good value. read more

I have a handicap mother in law who needed a hotel to stay at with handicap facilities.. I called to find out the height of the beds.. i couldn't get the manager, I was told he was out of the country, I couldn't get the sales department there phone was full and couldn't leave a message and the front desk clerk named Jessica would not help me.. I asked her to measure the bed to see if my mother in law could transport from her wheelchair to the bed, she refused,, I asked her to have maintenance do it and she refused, she was zero help and didn't care one bit about my mother in laws needs.. hotels are supposed to be accommodating per the American disability act and yet, Jessica and this hotel did nothing, not even get up off there butt and measure the height of the bed!!! read more

My daughters and I stayed here when visiting the University of Mount Union. We reserved a suite which was one large open room with 2 queen beds, a sleeper sofa, and a desk. There was also a large wet bar with coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. In addition to the tea and coffee packets, we were treated to a bag of microwave popcorn. Check in was quick and the staff was very nice. Shortly after we arrived in our room, the front desk called to see how we liked our room and asked if there was anything else we needed. The hotel is set back from the road and was very quiet. There is a heated indoor pool and hot tub. Additionally there was hot water and coffee in the eating area 24 hours a day. Breakfast was tasty. There were cheese omelets, turkey sausage links, and something called bagel toppers which were bagel halves topped with cheese spread and sprinkled with bits of ham and egg. Additionally there were packets of grits, an oatmeal bar, bread and pastries, cereal, cut fruit, and two kinds of waffle irons. A traditional one and one that made four mini waffles. We would definitely stay there again. read more

I will never stay at this hotel again. I was booked for 2 nights for business. I checked in after 4pm and went to my room. The wall thermostat was not working and you could not change anything on the unit. It blew cold every couple of minutes. Mini fridge in room so I put my food and soft drinks in there. Got up the next morning to work and hot water in sink but there was no hot water in shower! Cold shower then got ready to leave and went to grab my soft drinks and they were all frozen! When I returned I went to the front desk and told them I needed a different room. She asked why and I told her she apologized about the temperature control. She offered to replace the drinks. She said that the room I was in the shower temperature was backwards. I asked her why they don't put a sign up and she said it keeps falling down. I asked her why she didn't tell me when I checked in if she knew it was that way or maybe block off the room since they are definitely not using it every night!! Then she said she update me to a Suite which was of no benefit to me and did not even suggest reimbursing me for the previous night. Terrible place!!!!! read more

I tried to send an email to the address on the hotel's Facebook as I don't usually complain publicly, especially about most Hampton Inns. I was bit disappointed with my recent stay. The hotel wifi connect leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently, I am not the first one to have said anything about it, because I did inquire if anyone else has had issues. I was told that all the rooms were sold out and there were a lot of users, but the staff knows it's an issue. My problem was that I couldn't even connect. I was on a call, and it dropped out 3 times. I'm not sure if anything will be done to resolve the issue, but you can't fix the problem unless you know one exists. It's a nice hotel and good location. It's a shame that the wifi service isn't on the same level. read more

Very nice hotel. Breakfast had good options-- but check dates as the chocolate milk shocked me when I drank it prior to checking the date- expired and gross. Hotel was generally clean- but I did find some hairs on the shower walls I cleaned off) housekeeping is only every 5 days-- we were there for five days so we didn't get house cleaning- not a huge deal to me but a pain to get the towels and my trashes in the room were overflowing- maybe at least do trash pick ups even from the hall or something. The hotel was only 3 years old and had nice lobby and dining area. Also appreciated it being local in walking distance of place to eat. However, at check-in I was told the wifi and elevator were not working due to a power outage over 3 weeks ago. When I inquired about the pool and gym, I was informed due to COVID they were closed even though their website did not mention those services not being offered. At which I was also informed that breakfast will not have any hot foods available. My first night I booked thru expedia which they couldn't do anything about discount wise. But my second night I booked through the hotel. They did not really offer a discount nor did I hear from the manager about further inquiry as to why the hotels private pool would be closed when you can easily social distance. They merely said they were waiting on an answer, but did not whose answer they were waiting for, the owner, manager, or health department. Individuals should be aware when booking that they are offering amenities that are not available and with four floors, someone may want or need to use that elevator. Expedia did mention they have spoken with the hotel and the website should be updated. But please use caution when booking during COVID. Alliance has a lot to offer, however, hotel failed to provide basic binder or way to inform travelers of the great treasures. The staff also didn't even know how the community was reacting to non maskers or how long they have been in level 3. This is all unique times and feel this information is important as a traveler. The hotel overall was decently clean and nice appearance, but I would love to see them actually figure out why they have the pool and gym closed when ODH says they can be opened. read more

If you are looking for a place to stay in Alliance, the Hampton Inn is a great choice. It's very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I stayed here yesterday and most things were okay, the room was fine, most all staff was accommodating but the biggest impression came from the staff member at the front desk at my arrival - throughout out the entire check-in process she may have glanced up maybe once or twice. After helping the guest before me, she was handling some tasks at the front desk and I waited until she was ready and I just sat there - eventually she asked "hi, can I help you?" not looking up still doing other things; I gave her my credit card she didn't look up, she didn't give me my key card as much as she held it up in my general direction. The whole experience was incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The whole time I just thought about whether it was being a person of color, my gender, whether she was having bad day, or just really didn't like greeting guests. Either way it made me anxious of going down the main entrain to have another similar interaction. read more
