1. They reliably have rooms at per diem rates. 2. More parking places behind the hotel. 3. I stayed from Saturday to Thursday and the hotel was less than 20% full. 4. My top floor room had good Wi-Fi and faced north towards the road. My north room was quiet but there was a little road noise. A south facing room may be even quieter. 5. Laundry was frustrating because the Start button on the washing machine did not work reliably. I had to ask the front desk for help. 6. Housekeeping still works later than in other hotels, about 11 till 8. They work after guests leave and are still working when most guests check in 7. Since our last disaster stay at a competitor has always been bad, we decided to give La Quinta a try. They are a bit more pricy, but they are definitely worth it! The employees are friendly, treat you like they love their jobs and are happy to see you. The continental breakfast was awesome! You actually got real food, and there was plenty of it! The associate was always cleaning, refilling and making nice conversation. We are very pleased with everything La Quinta has to offer. Plenty of parking, pet friendly with poop bags available too. They think of everything! They even have elevators and carts to help bring your luggage up to your room. I highly recommend La Quinta! read more

Clean bathroom. Nice except the most important ( bed sheets) were dirty. Had hairs and on the other bed stain which looks like dry blood or IIIsssshhh. Coffee around 8pm is disgusting and cold and staff does not seem to care. However, the good side is that it is a pet friendly hotel. I met a very good lady there " Miss Rita". She is the one reason i found this hotel nice. She spreads positive talk in the morning. And I like to be around happy people. For the Rita i give a 5 stars. But for the rest, a 2 stars. In fact, I would suggest and recommend the hotel to promote Rita at the counter as I did not get a good customer service from the desk counter. Rita did the whole customer service. read more

My daughter is autistic and the woman at the check in called her a bad name that was shaming. The room I requested and paid for was for a disabled person and it was located clear in back of building up a ramp down a hallway up to the 3rd floor and around a corner and down to the end of another hallway. I'm disabled because I struggle to walk. The room was very difficult to access. In the photos on the internet the bathroom shows an easy access shower with a shower stool available but that isn't in the room. Bring your own and expect to have to climb into a bathtub. I won't recommend this hotel for anyone with a disability and I will be reporting it back to the company I reserved my room through. read more

Nice hotel in Aberdeen. Pet friendly. Very friendly staff. Stayed one nite on a trip up north. Contemporary rooms, clean, upgraded linens and bathroom. Large room. Free hot breakfast which was very good, the woman was so friendly and nice. The only thing was our room was near the elevator so you could hear the elevator all nite long, not necessarily really loud, but loud enough to hear in our room. Downgraded my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. I NEVER leave bad reviews but unfortunately I don't want what happened to me to happen to someone else. Do NOT come here if you need to work out of your hotel room for any amount of time or if you are trying to sleep anytime before 10PM. Dozens of kids were running, screaming, banging on doors (basically ding dong ditch), playing music all in the room hallways from the time I got back to my room at 5:30PM through to 10PM. Literally non stop, and not just minor noise, screaming at the top of their lungs, running in groups back and forth down the hallway it sounded like horses galloping down the hallway. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything as if it's happening in your room. I couldn't even do conference calls or video meetings for my job because it was so loud. I thought maybe I would just go downstairs to work, nope, same crowd more adults downstairs doing the same in the hotel lobby seating area. I could barely hear myself speak when trying to talk to the front desk. The hotel staff stated they ASKED the kids and parents to be respectful of others, bring down the noise, but nothing happened. And staff did nothing to enforce anything when the group outright disobeyed the hotel staff requests (if the staff even really did say something). Then staff looks you in your face and says "You can do whatever you want, but I can't do anything else. My manager won't pick up my calls and he will be here in the morning. You can talk to him then." HOW DOES THAT RESOLVE ANYTHING HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? For the rest of the night I tried to ignore the noise but when it became obnoxiously loud I repeatedly (and nicely) would stop the running kids in the hallway, explaining what they were doing wrong and how it was disturbing others. I told the kids and their oblivious parents that cops were being called after 10PM to enforce noise ordinance rule if they didn't chill out. If you have any disruptions during your stay or aren't satisfied with something, don't hold your breath expecting the hotel staff to do anything about it. The front desk staff and management do not care about guest satisfaction nor upholding Wyndham standards. And to top it off, because this hotel is independently owned and operated under a franchise, Wyndham doesn't care either! It's up to Management to uphold Wyndham standards which they don't! I have the email from corporate to prove it: "We sincerely apologize the property did not meet your expectations and standards of guest service. This property is independently owned and operated under a franchise, and its management is responsible for meeting La Quinta standards. The property has advised: We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the kids. We try all the time to keep them under control and even request their parents to do the same but sometimes it gets very challenging. After a review of your concern, the best resolution would be achieved by direct communication between the property management and yourself. Please contact the property management team at 1-410-273-2000." Recommend booking only as a last resort if your preferred hotels are unavailable, or you are strapped for cash and just need somewhere decent to lay your head. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed. PROS: Hotel appears relatively clean, Comfy beds, renovated /updated rooms, A/C is adjustable and can get super cold, spacious room and bathroom, good location close to military post, as well as dining and shopping, offers free WiFi, breakfast included in rate, has a pool, fair price for the accommodations. CONS: Front desk staff member looked about 19 wearing slides, joggers, and a wrinkly t shirt like he rolled out of bed, walls in room are paper thin you can hear everything, constantly hear floors creaking and stomping from above, shower stays about lukewarm no hotter, minimal toiletries, breakfast is a joke so don't look forward to it (basic continental offering two different bland cold cereal options, toast, make your own waffle, yogurt, oranges, and juice, etc nothing special). read more

The most horrible stay we have had at a hotel. They had traveling baseball teams that took over the hotel. The parents drinking and drunk in the lounge area and letting their kids run wild. Screaming, riding the elevators, banging on doors, kicking balls in the hallways and even screaming in the weight room under age and not supervised. The desk clerk didn't do much. Said it wasn't his problem. No manager onsite and an older gentleman got punched in the face. Police had to be called to safely escort the gentleman out. We will never go there again. So much for a restful sleep after a long day. read more

It wasnt so much that the gang of kids who were harassing me and running up and down the halls, with the knowledge of staff, then confronted me in the parking lot after throwing a ball at my car and damaging it. It was the failure of management and customer care to even respond to me, when I reported it after I left. NO follow up. They must have video of the kids hitting my car, then refusing to leave me alone and threatening me. But they wont even respond. Nothing. Wyhndam says the hotels are privately owned and the will not even ask the hotel to get it touch with me. read more

The hotel looks updated, lobby and breakfast bar very clean and new. The room was clean except for some mold on the shower caulking, better than average. Problem was at check-in we had asked the tattooed and pierced front desk clerk for a room NOT facing the highway. Should have questioned it when she had a blank look on her face and seem to be stumbling as to which room numbers corresponded with which side of the building.!? Breakfast was typical for the Wyndham chain. read more

Hello I have had several conversations tonight with Laquinta staff In Aberdeen, MD, Star and Thomas. I also spoke with customer service with Hotels.com and Laquinta. Your Aberdeen location, room 416 to be exact is crawling with "stink bugs." My husband and I checked in at 330pm, left soon after checking in and returned at about 8pm. I came in and turned on the heating unit, and saw one bug. No big deal? Fast forward to 11:45pm and between 8:30-11:30. Several more bugs a total of 10. Star originally told me that the manger would come up and take a look, which ultimately turned into he wont be back until Sunday at 8am, which then turned into he won't be back until Monday. Not once, as a courtesy even were we offered to have some one from the facilities team come and investigate. I was told by Star to cover the vent to block the bugs..she said because all the rooms were full should could not move us. My husband and i became more frustrated as you can imagine. Finally Thomas the front desk agent, who works until 7am said he would attempt to reach John, the Assistant General manager because the general manager could t be reached. I Spoke with John, he said the only way we would receive a refund is to check out/ vacate. I explained that we would have nowhere to go because all the hotels in the area were booked/full so if he could just refund us as a courtesy we would Try to rest because Laquinta was/is our only lodging option. John, the AGM replied " well we will give you your refund, but you have to leave, i don't want to lose that money especially when we have folks lined up that need that room. If you choose to stay we WILL NOT REFUND YOU, you can leave, but you won't find a another hotel room within the next 100 miles. You should google stink bugs, they are harmless and in this area it's not a big deal to have them around...the don't cause a health hazard, the are just a pest...google them they can't hurt you. Or you can get a refund before the night audit starts and i can have my front desk guy get the room ready for another customer...so checkout or you will have to pay...". No compassion for the circumstances, no understanding or empathy, just the attitude of "take it or leave it. " So as i send this email at 2am, my husband who has sleep apnea, and I just drove an hour plus to try to get sleep. No customer service, no assistance with even coming to our room to possibly treat the pest.... no help, at all. I'm disappointed and would like to be contacted . Looks nice from the outside. Inside looks a little less nice and less new, a little dirty assuming from lack of staff. My husband and I stayed in room 233 last Friday evening, the toilet was not functioning properly, the sink did not drain and there was a roach in the room crawling across the nightstand. Did search for bed bugs and found none thank goodness. Bed was moderately comfortable. Wouldn't stay here again, I assume the low quality is because of location off I-95, they're not planning on tourist just one-night type travelers. But I did not enjoy my stay. read more

It's cheap, but...there was a leak in the roof in the hallway. The room wasn't very clean, and looked like basic amenities were added to try covering up the need for a lot of neglected maintenance. I just felt unclean staying in this place, and checked the bed several times. My ceiling was recently patched (not well), there was a six-outlet extender velcrow-ed to the side of the desk, the front desk wasn't friendly... I just wouldn't stay here again, but for a quick one night stay, it was bearable. For the price with a free breakfast, it earned back a star. EDIT: The person I went here with had a good room, so maybe my room was an anomaly. The breakfast area was really nice, the eggs were good, and the front desk at check out was friendly. Looking for a pet friendly hotel. Reviews from 2015 were quite negative, but decided to give it a try. I found the room clean and comfortable, and breakfast better than average. Though not luxurious, the decor was new and adequate, and the walk in shower was sparkling. Walls a little thin, so my dog got protective a few times, but all settled to a quiet, restful night. Evening manager was friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again. read more

Don't stay here- plenty of places on the same road that have to be better. It's cheap and dog friendly with no monetary fee but the hidden cost is that you will be picking fleas off your pet for hours after each time they go outside. The lot desperately needs to be sprayed for fleas. I am completely horrified. To add to the issues, the place is minimally clean- esp the shower. The breakfast bar in the morning is ok but the young woman attending to it was eating in the little kitchen instead of replenishing items. Stay somewhere else and save the hassle and a trip to the vet for flea treatment. read more

Do not stay here. It's behind terrible. Pool was filthy. Sheets were found with hairs. Pillow cases smelled. I had to go to lobby on my first night and change my own sheets at 1145pm. Third day of stay my toilet is clogged. Maintenance man comes in, flushes it and says it's fine. Come home and night and guess what? Toilet is clogged. So they offer to change rooms. I have 2 kids. How nearly impossible is that. But I have no choice as the toilet begins to bubble and shit water spill out all over. Those sheets were also found dirty. A security guard seemed to be the only one who cared and came to try and clean up. Next morning we complain to the manager. He comps us one night but then sees my email and comps the entire stay. Dirty, smelly, run down. And that's about the nicest words that come to mind from my stay this week. No AC in the halls which smell like old gym socks. Turned on the AC in my room and black balls of some sort of scum came spewing out. No garbage can in room. Clock radio didn't work for alarm, so had to call Front Desk--except they didn't pick up for 5 minutes. Floors are threadbare carpet at best---not event covering the cracks in the uneven concrete. The multi-strip outlet all plugged into one outlet was just a fire waiting to happen. The "free" breakfast is horrific....powdered eggs that oozed water, some from of fake bacon, milk pitcher and yogurts left in the open with no cooling to prevent spoilage. Book elsewhere. read more

We stayed here during a road trip from FL to MA. Called ahead from 95 and got a room easily on Easter Sunday. Pleasantly surprised with this place; yes it's a budget property but we will definitely use the chain again. Room was comfortable & clean, had a working fridge with small freezer and a microwave. Decent water temp & pressure in the bathroom (tub/shower combo) although the shower head and soap dish height weren't ideal for anyone 6' or over (and I have the elbow bruises to prove it!). Pet friendly with multiple entrances so you can take Fido & Fifi in/out with ease. HBO too so we were able to watch S3 premiere of Game of Thrones after a grueling 12-1/2 hours in the car. Quiet setting; we could hear birds in the morning with our room's window closed. Free hot breakfast buffet which we didn't try but the aroma woke me up at 6:30 am! There is also a Mexican restaurant on the property but we did not try it. Good value, good night's rest. read more

Stayed here as recently as last April and it was OK but this stay (9/2-9/3) was horrible. Halls smell, room dirty. If I hadn't been driving for 10 1/2 hours would have looked elsewhere. Place has gone downhill fast. read more

I am torn as to how many stars to give. I just stayed there this weekend because we were in town to play a baseball tournament. I am not sure it is a " 4 star" hotel, but for the price it was totally acceptable. We weren't in it for a long time, but the rooms were clean and I have no complaints. As for some of the previous reviews it is a little run down and I did see a leaky hallway ceiling, but I was not that bothered by it. I did not see any bugs or fleas anywhere and I was looking.It is pet friendly and so I would not expect it to be any better than it was. I stayed here in March, without the dog and would stay here again.Nicole at the front desk was great!!! There are 2 restaurants within walking distances that are great. grumpy's (attached to travelodge) and Greene Turtle. Grumpy's is a great place for team dinners. They can accomodate large groups and food was pretty good. Debbie - the waitress is a lot of fun and made the night awesome. read more

I'm not sure how to rate this. This is a cheaper hotel, ~$65 for the night. I'm staying in a smoking room with a pet. The front desk was super awesome, she was quick and polite. The rooms are not bad for the price, except there aren't any outlet spaces for chargers except on the other side of the room, but not a big deal. MY MAIN CONCERN is that I am staying with a pet, and I found a small pill on the floor. It's obviously Ibuprofen, but if small pets or children are staying, PLEASE learn how to clean up. This could have been dangerous if it were swallowed, or any other type of pill. read more
