Stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites for 5 nights recently and overall the stay was decent. I didn't try any of their breakfast so I can't comment on that. Personally, I would prefer to go into town and get some better quality breakfast and coffee, however, that is just me. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. My only gripe was listening to a baby scream in the early hours of the morning and the parents being LAF without a care in the world for anyone else. I can't ding the hotel for that, however, it did sour the experience. For what it is, I feel the cost is high, however, I fully realize it's peak season in the area so it is what it is. The location is convenient though and you can walk to restaurants, movie theater right across the street, however, it literally is just a 5 min drive into the main town and to the lake. Plenty of parking though if you get back later at night you may have some trouble finding a spot if the hotel is busy. read more

We were at this Hampton Inn for seven nights, probably the longest we've stayed anywhere at a hotel in the US. Everybody was really nice and friendly especially the girls at the front desk, Alyssa, who took care of the breakfast area. The room was large and comfortable. It had hooks to hang up jackets or purses. It didn't have a makeup mirror, but I was OK. We don't usually have breakfast at the hotels we stayed at. We did one day and it was OK, the coffee was pretty good. I would've worked out a little bit, but they didn't have any 3 pound weights. And some of the things I do, 5 pounds are just too heavy. I'm sure we'll be back again as my daughter lives in Coeur d'Alene. Also was centrally located you could walk across the street to the movies which we did, nice restaurants a few little shops. Plus, we walked down to the Spokane River so a good place to stay. read more

Nice hotel, seems fairly new. Rooms are fairly well appointed and clean. Mattress of our kind-sized bed was a little on the hard side, but It was survivable. The staff were very nice people, well-informed about stores, restaurants, and points of interest nearby. There was an Army veteran working at the front desk who was very helpful and seemed like a genuinely personable individual. Unfortunately, one of the lies I tell myself is that I'll remember someone's name... so apologies are due. Breakfast there was basic, but the food area was immaculate as were the tables. Those working to provide breakfast were constantly cleaning counters and the equipment. Tables were well wiped-down, eliminating the chance that the previous kids who sat at the table didn't leave it sticky with jellies, juices, and sugar. Well done! The only suggestion I'd offer is, if memory serves me correctly, there was only one slot for handicapped parking, the other slots reserved for Hilton Diamond Rewards customers in the front of the hotel. Product loyalty programs are great, but I just had knee replacement surgery and walking with suitcases, etc is just a bit dicey. Please consider making it a bit easier for those of us who are dealing with mobility issues. read more

My husband prefers this hotel over the Staybridge. I Prefer the Staybridge so I will list his Pros vs My Cons Pro: the pool is open 24/7 ( you get back from a late dinner or a late movie and you can head to the pool) pro: it looks " fancier " Pro: the gym is bigger Pro: less kids CONS: it is very dark in the room. I don't have the best eye sight so lighting for me is everything. Con: It is always super dusty and the bathroom floor the last two times have been sticky. Like when someone goes super crazy with the hair spray sticky. I was on my hands and knees cleaning the floor because my shoes were sticking to it. Con: the room is very small ( even the upgraded room) when you have dogs and a kid. You feel like you are piled on top of eachother. Final Con: I prefer a seperate sink and mirror area for getting ready. It is a huge time saver to get out the door. All in all this hotel is nice. It just depends on your wants and needs for your stay. This is perfect for a romantic getaway or a business stay. For more of a family and pet thing.... I wouldn't pick this hotel. read more

Check-in/check out was a breeze. Pleasant and helpful front counter staffs especially Anaka--always greets us with smiles. At check in, she offered us a couple of bottled water which is really nice. Other staff members working around the establishment are also friendly. I would have rated this establishment a 5-star if they'd had a safe in the room. We had to bring out with us our valuables, cash, and tablets which is a bit inconvenient and not safe to have in the car. Also NOT participating in the recycling nor conservation programs. The facility is always clean including the elevators. Hubby and I loved that the location is not too close to the freeway so it's quiet and not much outside noise to disrupt sleep. Beds are comfortable and beddings looked and smelled clean and fresh. Breakfast items are sufficient and have plenty of choices--loved the waffles and omelette. Coffee and tea are available at the lobby throughout the day. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room. Kaycie, our room attendant respected our privacy when the sign hangs on our door but she would leave a notice that she'll check back by noon to make our room. I was on a business trip to Sandpoint and decided to stay in Coeur d" Alene instead of Sandpoint. In addition, I prefer staying at chain hotels where I can earn point. This location was great for location and amenities. Friendly staff. This is not a resort hotel, but it's close to other resort hotels and still has a nice breakfast, fitness center, business center and pool. It was also within walking distance of good restaurants and downtown if you don't mind a longer walk. Nice breakfast in the morning (as shown by my pic). Bed was comfortable. Internet was good. This was the worst experience we have ever had with any hotel. The price was $400 for a single room with a "view" of the roof top equipment and NOTHING else. To make things worse, our bed was broken and bowed in the middle. When bringing to the hotel managers attention, absolutely nothing was done. Not even a sorry.. This was a really nice place to spend an evening! The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. And the bed was great - I slept like a log. Ok, so I had been up for like 20 hours and probably would have slept well anyway, but the bed was super nice. My only complaint about the room itself was it had very low light - with no overhead light, I basically had to turn on every other light in the room to make it less gloomy looking. The breakfast and coffee the next day was pretty standard hotel fare, but the woman working there was very friendly and kept everything spotless. Fantastic hotel in a great location in Coeur d'Alene, with the Spokane River on one side and a really nice shopping center with various restaurants on the other. Stayed 6 nights in a room on the top floor with its own private balcony and a nice view. Comfortable bed and quiet room. The hotel is in a safe and quiet area with walking trails and a beautiful park just a short distance away. Actually the whole city of Coeur d'Alene seemed very safe. Guest service at the hotel was on point, and the daily complimentary breakfast was great - each day they had different food items available. Highly recommend this hotel! read more

Had a quick overnight stay here this last Sunday. Beautiful room, nice to sit on the balcony and look over a bit of the city and the river. Not a great view but enough. No issues about the room or the checkin. One thing of note: Don't use the 800 number to book your reservation. Get the local number - (208) 769-7900 - and do it directly. I have been a long time Hilton Honors member, and this location is not beholden to the Hilton standard. The exercise equipment is falling into disrepair as can be seen with the broken seat adjustment on the Peloton bike. The shower plumbing in my room needs to be addressed as well with the tub faucet pulled away from the wall. They are surely going to have moisture in the wall with probable mold and water damage issues below. read more

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. We had a balcony which I think every room does but ours faced the Spokane River. They front desk staff were on top of everything. The facility was very clean, they had decent breakfast for free from 6 am to 10 am. Their workout room is super clean and was a favorite for my husband and I. It is close to many shops and restaurants but more importantly only a mile and a half or so from the lake! I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. read more

Literally the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was hard as a rock. The sweet maintenance guy brought up six comforters to put on top of the mattress to try to make it more comfortable, and it helped a little bit. But seriously that mattress is made out of concrete, straw, and metal. The only reason I'm giving this hotel two stars is because the people who work there are nice and the breakfast was actually very good. Also, there is essentially no river view because the river has been blocked by multi-million dollar homes. There's basically not one good hotel in Coeur d'Alene except for the expensive resort, and I heard plenty of complaints about that one. read more

We stay at several Hilton properties each year, and this location is one of my favorites. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is not just friendly, they're truly welcoming! They treat us as long lost friends when we check in. The lobby is inviting...a blazing fire lights up the space, and there are a few cozy couches placed conveniently nearby for anyone that may want to grab a cup of coffee to warm up from the cold. There's a small "store" near the front desk with a decent wine selection, snacks, and sweets for purchase. For guests arriving near Christmas, we ran into an employee that was delivering hand-written cards from Santa to the rooms. How special is that?! The breakfasts are standard fare, with the exception of a smoothie station. Expect eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. I'm never disappointed. Bonus: The hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance to a movie theater, several restaurants, some boutique stores, a park, and a paved walking trail. read more

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area, in the Riverstone complex. Our room was really nice, very clean, and we had a wonderful view from the 5th floor. The staff were all friendly, and there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was basically grab and go, but they did the best they could under current circumstances, I suppose. We stayed in the shoulder season, so the price was way better than it would be in the vacation Summer months. We all enjoyed our stay. read more

LOCATION. Location. Location. That's the primary reason to choose this Hampton Inn and Suites in CDA over the myriad of lodging options in similar price points. COVENIENTLY LOCATED in the RiverPointe mixed use development area (shopping, Starbuck's, movie theater, condos), it has nearby access to RiverPointe parks and trails as well as very easy access to the resort and lake downtown. NEWER, it also has the benefits of infrastructure, guest rooms, exercise rooms, lobby areas, that have not yet been "worn and torn" as inevitably happens over time at a lodging property. The LOBBY AND BREAKFAST ROOM ARE LOVELY. . (See photos). Those are the "pluses". On the " minus" side, the things that keep us from five stars are:: We were NOT FANS OF THE ROOM APPOINTMENTS as compared to other newish Hampton Inns and Suites we've stayed at. A WEAKNESS HERE WAS CUSTOMER SERVICE - staff was a tad indifferent it seemed to us. But then again, we were not happy campers at check in to find that in spite of reserving well in advance checking in right at the "open bell" and being Hilton Honors members, we were stuck in a room in a bad location on property. That happens sometimes, we guess, but it was if staff's attitude about this was "too bad for you - take it or leave it". And on the morning of our check out, we noted they were so busy talking with the manager about scheduling issues that they seemed largely indifferent to other hotel guests waiting at the desk. Those kind of customer service weak spots indicated management isn't paying attention. read more

WOW! This location is a Braintree hospitality property. If you don't know what properties they have Google it. This location is managed extremely well the hotel is extremely cleaned every day. Most hotels when you wake up in the morning still have the same trash in the lobby and outside areas however at this hotel it's removed and clean when you wake up. The staff is very attentive to your needs including housekeeper's and guest services. Remember why you come to a hotel it is to get a clean room with a comfortable nights rest so to all the other reviewer's who complained about the breakfast it's not the hotels primary goal. Guest who are complaining about the breakfast need to get a life. If you're staying in a new area at a hotel go out and experience businesses that specialize in breakfast. We stayed here the first night we arrived and then after a week of touring Idaho Montana and Wyoming we came back to this location for three more nights. There is a hotel in big sky Montana known as the Residence Inn The management and staff there could take lessons from the staff at this Hampton Inn. Also to all the other complainers who posted reviews about the price get a clue it's the area if you don't wanna pay that much go back to Spokane Valley or sleep in your car. read more

My husband and I travel a lot (well, we did before Covid) and have stayed at many Hilton properties and this was one of my absolute favorites, maybe my favorite Hampton Inn of all. This Hampton Inn is in a great location, right off I 90 and close to downtown. It's decidedly upscale, especially for a Hampton Inn. We reserved our room online and received exactly the room we had pre-booked, top floor away from the elevator. (That should be a given, but in my experience only works half of the time). I am a very light sleeper and sensitive to noise and this hotel has cement flowers and was very quiet. We heard nothing at night for a whole week, the doors do not slam and seal well. The hotel does have a number of connected rooms, so if you are looking for privacy make sure not to book one of those. Our room was larger than the average hotel room. The bed was so comfortable and cozy, love those fluffy pillows. We found a number of outlets on both sides of the bed for charging phones etc. The room was very clean with plenty of towels. Room service was available only by request due to Covid but we had no issues receiving replacement towels and toiletries. My husband felt the TV could have been larger because of its distance from the bed, but that's seriously nitpicky, it was fine and worked perfectly. We were impressed with the front desk service. On arrival we found two broken lightbulbs in our room. We called the front desk and they delivered new bulbs to us within minutes even though it was late at night and housekeeping had left already. The hot tub and pool are open 24 hours. Yes, you read that right, if you feel like warming up in the hot tub after a long day in the snow, it's always open. Even during Covid! The hotel also provides a warm breakfast that you can eat by the fireplace. Staff offers a variety of options that you pick up in an adjacent room, including potatoes, eggs, sausage, yoghurt and muffins. Masked staff serves all items, so it felt very safe. Breakfast staff was very friendly and kind. The hotel has a large free parking lot that was cleared, even during a snow storm. There is even special Diamond member parking close to the front door. This is the second time I've stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites in Coeur d' Alene. Overall, this is a great hotel with plenty of free parking, clean rooms and common areas, comfortable beds, friendly staff, decent gym and pool area, good location etc. However, based on my personal COVID risk tolerance, I will definitely not be back until the end of the pandemic. Hampton Inn has signs throughout the common areas stating that masks and social distancing are required for staff and guests. Unfortunately, I only observed 20% of guests (my best approximation) wearing masks in common areas during my five day stay. At no time was the mask or social distance policy enforced. Adherence to the company mask policy was a bit better with staff (staff behind the front desk were masked; house cleaning staff was at about 50%; and several other staff were not wearing masks when walking around common areas). There were other precautions taken: no open buffet, hand sanitizer available throughout common area, suspension of daily house keeping services, etc. The take away: it really didn't seem like too many people take COVID seriously in these parts. The hotel is an upscale Hampton Inn. Had a problem with a late checkout. As a Diamond, had to leave the client early a race back. Decided they dont seem to care about Diamonds. I took the team to a new hotel nearby Staybridge Suites. The rooms are amazing, Springhill Suites was full. Unlike Hampton, all facilities are open, free FULL breakfast much larger rooms for the money. I simply don't have patience as a frequent traveler six days a week I should be treated better. I moved my team over to Staybridge as the General Manager at Hampton did not return the call. For the money, Staybridge seems to be amazing. right down the road! read more

This Hampton Inn was amazing!! The hotel looks brand new, and is immaculately clean. I am really picky about cleanliness, and this property was perfect. We had a nice balcony off of our room with a view of the river. There is a nice walking trail adjacent to the hotel, and a new shopping area close by offering restaurants and a movie theater. The hotel offers a nice workout room, and a spacious breakfast area. I highly recommend this hotel when in the Couer D' Alene area. read more

I was too tired to drive to Spokane but the only room available was a king suite (which I didn't need because I was not staying long) the cleark at the front desk upgraded me to the king suite for the regular rate. I was so tired that I immediately went to the room and went to sleep. I didn't appreciate how nice the room was or how beautiful the view was until I woke up. I'm breaking up with Hilton. I don't expect much from Hampton Inn but this was the last straw. We Checked in to discover our bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The front desk man came up and cleaned it. He was super nice and explained that housekeeping leaves at 4:00. He apologized and said he'd report it. Then we discover a huge wet spot on the carpet. The assistant manager moved us to another room, but it was even closer to the construction site next door. Not Hampton's fault but our room actually vibrated and the noise was so loud we couldn't hang out in the room. It was not busy at all so I can't believe there wasn't another room at the other end of the hotel. The beds are not comfortable, hide a bed even worse and everything is cheap. The rooms need to be remodeled. This is a good spot for a business person to stay a quick night but that's about it. The few things this property has going for it is the staff is very friendly and the pool, hot tub and gym is open 24 hours. Stayed here one night on the way to Montana and it was very nice and clean! 24 hour gym and pool with jacuzzi!! Free breakfast was still available even though there's covid but they handled it well. Everything was pre packaged and someone was handing them out safely. Staff was nice and friendly too. Gave us a lot of bottles water we needed for free. Highly recommend! read more
