Just a relaxing, good time. An old home that isn't perfect but shows it's character. Our room was a delight, lots of nooks and crannies, again character. By the way, my bride of 52 years loved the tub! A light breakfast of granola and yogurt, fresh brewed local coffee. Dinner at the 315 restaurant was a bit upscale, with large portions, nicely plated. Overpriced. Room was small, pedestal sink was not in bathroom, against the wall in the bedroom ( bizarre)with no space for toiletries. Soap provided was a quart size bottle for both pedestal sink and shower. no luggage rack. No place to put luggage. Had to put luggage on the floor. No private parking- fend for yourself on the street. Welcome kiosk rarely attended. Restaurant was below average. The reason it is busy is because they give you a credit to apply to your restaurant bill. Great restaurants don't need to do that. I would avoid this place. read more

Had a terrific three night stay in the Gwendolyn Suite. This room is spacious, and has a terrace that has both sun and shade. Bed was a bit mushy, but that's personal preference. Staff was always helpful and friendly. We dined at 315 (on site restaurant) twice, and both meals were superb. Location is quiet, and close to downtown and midtown. Very convenient! Made reservations over a month in advance for my daughter's birthday dinner. Went in for said reservations on her birthday, only to get treated like absolute garbage, and be told that they gave the room we had reserved to a pharmaceutical company instead. They obviously decided that big pharma would make them more money instead of a party of 20 people for a birthday party. Horrible customer service, hoity toity, better than you attitudes from staff, and a guarantee that they lost business from all of our friends and family forever. Having worked in the service industry for over 20 years I am appalled at the way they took care of the matter. read more

Our room was nice change from hotels and real close to downtown. Ate at restaurant which was expensive and barbecued chicken was a bit odd with the corn on it and was dry. Breakfast was a disappointment as the apples were very old and one was literally rotten to the core. Only yogurt and prepackaged pastries, nothing fresh. Well, just have to say, this is an very old house converted into a Bed and Breakfast, but also need to warn anyone, if you are disabled in anyway don't come here, they have no elevators! I have a knee that I think is deaf, as it likes to say hi to me, and I tell it to shut up and it says hi anyway! The room they had us in was on the 3rd floor- There is 18 steps from the main floor to the 2nd and a total of 32 steps and fairly steep. The Other negative is that the bathroom is outside of the room, at least with room #7, so you have to leave the room in order to go to the bathroom. The bed was VERY comfortable, and there is a sink, microwave and of course a tv in the room and the WiFi is no Password required. I personally don't think I would come back here in present condition, but if you are able bodied and don't mind that the bathroom is not in you're room this would be a good place to spend a night or few nights in. read more

We had a wonderful two night stay here in this historical B and B! We stayed the first night in room 2 and then upgraded to Room 1 for the second night (a little bigger and a private sitting deck.) We loved how cozy and comfortable it was. The customer service was wonderful and we loved being able to just walk downstairs to the restaurant/bar and feel like it was just in our own home. We stayed at the greenbrier while in the area. Amazing bed and breakfast with a staff that is so amazing. The room was very clean and again the staff was there for every need we had. We ate and had drinks at the restaurant and Todd was a great waiter who recommended us the best drinks (great old fashion). The food was off the charts also. Our stay was disappointing, with the inconvenience of the bathroom being across the hall from room #6, and the minuscule shower that did not hold constant water pressure or temperature was disappointing. If I had wanted to stay in a dormitory, I would have booked us into one. The biggest disappointment was our dinner service. It should never take 45-50 minutes to receive a dinner. We ordered the Saffron Shells and a salad. The salad took 15 minutes to arrive, and 3 times the Maitre'd came to our table to say either she was checking in out for our it was being worked on. I observed 2 other tables get seated after us, and both received their food items prior to us getting the shells. Overall, the food was good, but I personally would never recommend this establishment. read more

I absolutely adored the character of this place. It was like living in one of the homes I've toured around the holidays, or going back home to New York where living somewhere built in 1806 is the norm. And it's just a few blocks from downtown (including yummy macarons at Woops!). What was missing was attention to everything else. I think this property may be prioritizing its restaurant and events over its B&B guests... When we arrived to check in, no one was there. There was a bell to ring and we rang it -- twice -- but no one came. So, I eventually entered the restaurant section and got someone who said "hold on" in response to us and went off to recruit someone else to serve us (yay, more waiting). We finally were taken up the stairs to our third-floor room and given the skeleton key. Like I said, beautiful! See the pics by me or others. Lovely character. It was also nice we could see the street from our room so I could check on my car easily (not that the town is scary, but still: street parking only despite free parking being listed as an amenity). The room was adorable as I've said, including the coat closet converted to a toilet room (but without an air vent), and I would love to have rented a room like this long term in college, but for our brief stay: the dust mites made us sneeze (likely breeding in the undusted closet with the tiny door where I thought a mini fridge may be hiding; wet mop, please), the floor was dirty when I touched it upon kneeling to turn on the heater, there was no mini fridge or microwave or desk (but I think these were excluded in amenities and we made due with ice), the TV was small like a computer monitor and had poor sound (Black Friday wins for upgrades), the shower was only intermittently hot with minutes of ice cold (!), the shower caddy was broken (Dollar Store trip), the doors (room, toilet room) didn't close properly (new hinge and/or shave the door to fit), there was a rip on the sheet and stain on the towel (I know they're white but...), which strangely had a Hampton tag (IKEA beats "borrowing"), and breakfast was sufficient but they didn't ask for any dietary preferences -- they just gave you what they gave you, which on my day was tasty and included an omelette (but it was room temperature with cheese that was not quite melted), a cup of fruit, two strips of bacon, and two pieces of banana bread, with self serve orange juice, good coffee and water (served from 9-10 on a Saturday). Price in the off season: $103 on Expedia before the cold shower discount. I've added a star for that since not every business owner cares even retrospectively. Bottom line: Overall tons of potential and charm but they must work on the basics and find ways to maintain the character with just letting the Greenbriar get old and dusty. And although I appreciate receiving a discount for the shower issue, having to bring up problems is never fun and that was just one issue among many. read more

Looks can be deceiving!! Quirky bed and breakfast that I will stay in every time I'm in town. The rooms are a trip! Old quirky but clean!! The restaurant was the best!! Gabe and his staff are great!! Dinner was amazing (shrimp tacos)!!! So good I ate them twice. Bartender poured great drinks!!The full breakfast that is included was awesome!! We were driving across country and were suppose to camp in Coeur D'alene. We had stayed in a great hotel in Livingston, MT the night before and the thought of camping made us want to stick a needle through our eye. I furiously scoured the internet for a local hotel that was under $100.00. I came across one review somewhere in the depths of the internet that said this catering/restaurant was also a B&B. I took a chance and called. Yep it has 5 amazing rooms. It's a historic house with a story to tell. After I inquired further, I learned the room with a private bath is $85.00 which includes access to the deck with hot tub, free breakfast in the morning and a very fantastic, warm inviting room. The details put into making the guests feel relaxed and at home is amazing. The bar in the 315 Martini's and Tapas restaurant in what would be the living and dining area of the house is quaint and the staff who works there is knowledgeable about the history of the house and the things to do and see in the area. read more

Friendly wonderful staff. The food in the restaurant is very good. It's quaint, charming and historic. It's clean. We love the old floors, fixtures, furniture and moldings. It's definitely old with very thin walls and quirks you would expect - such as the bathroom door not closing all the way. We appreciate it though! That's the whole point of staying at the Inn. It's different and not for high maintenance types. It's in an Awesome location! You can walk to everything. We stayed in the large suite with the outdoor deck. It's a nice area to sit and relax. We stayed in January so the space heater was a lifesaver. The only suggestion we have is the bed. The mattress needs to be replaced. Thanks for the great stay! read more

My husband and I had plans to stay in Spokane however, due to the pandemic Spokane was not open. We ended up changing our plans and we are glad we did. We stayed at the Greenbriar Inn over Memorial weekend. The Greenbriar Inn has the 315 restaurant attached however, they had chosen not to open up for dining in but offered to go orders. The Greenbriar Inn does offer a "continental breakfast" which is way more than you would expect. In the morning, you walk down to the dining area where you will find set tables complete with fresh fruit cup, some type of pastry and a choice of hot item. The rooms were well appointed complete with robes and a coffee maker. Couer d'alene was in phase 3 and was mostly open for business. We were able to eat out at most restaurants and take the lake cruise. Most of the shops downtown were open with precautions. read more

This Inn and its staff are friendly, caring very accommodating. The food is superb from the Tappas at night to the extraordinary breakfasts. I arrived in mid-April with 4 inches of snow overnight. The fireplace in the room and the restaurant both brought comfort and relaxation. Warm and terrific room, great shower and bath. The chef could be at any 5-star restaurant in a big city. The wait staff was always checking on all of us during the meal. The people in the restaurant were happy and laughing. So this Inn, which is about 3 blocks from the main section of town is a gem worth finding for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great place to stay, too. We had a great experience at the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and warm towards us. The rooms were small, but very charming and the beds were comfortable so we were able to wake up in the morning well refreshed. I liked that it's right near the heart of downtown and is walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. We stayed for one night and plan on returning. We stayed in room 3, which was nice and roomy- complete with a sitting room, bedroom and a bathroom. The decor is charming, and has all the amenities of a hotel. It is an older building, so the room was a little loud, but quiet once it was bedtime. We booked our room without looking up much about the hotel, so we missed the restaurant and martini part. Next time we will book with this in mind because it sounds great. They sent us next door for breakfast, which was pretty darn good as well. Long story short, it is quaint, comfortable, unique, and a short walk away from good restaurants, shopping, and the beach. read more

Like one other reviewer, we had a slight hiccup upon check-in as we arrived at 11pm and were locked out, but we were able to phone someone and only had to wait a few minutes. It is indeed a very old house, but I love old mansions, love to tour them, and now to sleep in one. It's charming and beautifully restored. Our room was clean and inviting. It had everything one would need at a B&B, including breakfast, which is more than I can say for the Estate at the Lake B&B in Ponderay, which is not serving breakfast during Covid! Even though all the restaurants are open! Will never stay there again, but I digress. If you don't like staying in a historic old mansion, then this is not the B&B for you. But if you like historic charm, and an absolutely wonderful breakfast made to order with delicious food, stay here. Yes, you have to park on the street and no, there is no elevator. But it's a lovely inn, and I recommend it for those who like to stay at history B&Bs. read more

Hotel/Inn: Don't waste your time with this place. They'll overbook the rooms and turn you away only to tell you they have found a room to the Hampton Inn by I-90 for you. No courtesy call to mention they would not have a room available. I would not trust this place at all. They were unapologetic and unprofessional and need a lesson in how to interact with customers.
