I give 5-stars only for the nicest hard working front desk staff, Laura!!! She is scheduled to cover the toughest overnight hours from late night to early morning at the front desk. She is polite and goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable. She provides the great customer service, and this is the "hospitality." She cares, and that all matters. She made sure our 2-night 3 day stay was pleasant and comfortable. Thank you, Laura. She is the gem for this hotel. I also want to give my constructive feedback here to help their future guests and the management of Hampton Inn Hemet. Cons: -$250 deposit each booking. If a guest ends up making 2 separate reservations for 2 nights, it requires check out/in again after 1st night, and also another deposit of $250 ($500 for 2 nights which is unheard of). -Breakfast needs a lot of improvement. Less substitutes for scramble eggs please (it tasted like consommé egg pudding). Needs more varieties & food. -A/C in unit is really loud. If you're sensitive, you can't sleep. -Fridge was near room temperature with no adjustment option. -Soggy mattress -Room smells like gym (to me). Pros: -Room is spacious. -Room is cleaned well. -Room layout is good and furnished thoughtful. -Clean sheets/ towels -No water clogging. -Good shower water pressure -Easy access to car parked -Good location near so many stores I still give 5 stars because of Laura at the front desk. This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. We booked at La Quinta in the Spectrum area of Irvine, but what we got felt more like being dumped in a converted barn. The building was old and isolated, and worst of all, it was right next to a railroad track. Every time a train passed by, the whole building shook like an earthquake--it was loud, constant, and impossible to sleep through. I had specifically requested a room on the bottom floor, but they completely ignored it and gave us a room on the 4th floor instead. To make matters worse, the elevators were broken, so we had to lug all our stuff up four flights of stairs--no help from staff, no apology, nothing. The room itself was dirty. The carpet was nasty--stained, sticky, and smelled awful. It was clear the room hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained in a long time. Overall, this place was a huge letdown. I would not stay here again and definitely don't recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or quiet stay. read more

Booked room at last minute. Did not know by booking through AAA I would not receive Hilton points. The check was easy and the front desk clerk was nice. He gave everyone checking before me a bag with bottle water and snacks. He did not give me one. There was a thunderstorm over night and it rained. At about 4am I started hearing water. I figured it was the rain hitting the window. About 630am or so I got up to go downstairs to get some breakfast and noticed a leak from in the ceiling. I was glad I had moved my bags over to the couch so they did not get wet. I went down to lobby and let the from desk know I had a leak. Immediately one of the ladies said "is it leaking from the window?" I said no and let her know it was coming from the ceiling. She turned to the other lady and said oh it's leaking like 301." They took my room number down and said maintenance was not in yet. I let them know my husband was still sleeping. Around 9am as we were getting dressed we noticed another leak in the ceiling above the desk. My laptop and purse was sitting on the desk. They did get wet. We were able to catch it before they got soaked and before and damage. We checked out sometime between 930am and 10am. While checking out I let the front desk know of the second leak. She noted it down and said maintenance would be up to check it when they get in. Then waved us goodbye. She never asked if any of our personal items got wet or damaged. She did not ask how our stay was. She seemed extremely unconcerned with the situation. read more

We stayed here recently and came away favorably impressed. Our room was clean, large, well kept and everything worked as it was supposed to. It might be the nicest hotel (photos) in the area. It is certainly as nice as any of the newer hotels over near the I-15/215 Fwy. We booked our reservation online, at Hilton's website. We were able to specify what size bed and the location of room nearer to the elevators. It also accepted our AARP discount, along with our request for extra towels. LOL. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. If you drive down Florida Avenue, you will find a fun foodie destination near Main Street and the old railroad station. We felt this Hampton was Four Stars and yes, would absolutely stay here again. read more

I have always liked Hilton hotels and whenever I travel for personal or work, I always check for a Hilton first as opposed to another hotel. My wife and I were planning on meeting friends at Soboba Casino Resort and spending the night in the area so we checked for Hilton hotels nearby and came across the one in Hemet. I booked a room but found out after I reserved it that there would be a $250 deposit on top of the nightly rate. I have never seen this before - even at other Hilton hotels! I cancelled the room but still got charged and now I am in the process of disputing the charge on my credit card. My wife and I ended up getting a room at the Hampton Inn March Reserve Base which is only 15 miles from Hemet and they do not charge a deposit! Stay away from the Hampton Inn & Suites Hemet. I was very disappointed very overpriced. The breakfast that they served was the same just about every day. I had my dogs with me and they put me on my third floor and it was over $1000 with the two dogs. I thought that was pricey compared to motel six which was $200 cheaper. I didn't like the fact of being on the third floor with the dogs because I couldn't get access to the outside without taking them down the elevator I didn't find it very friendly and the night person in the front was not very friendly. I said gee that's overpriced and he goes well. We're just a better hotel than the other ones around here. I thought that was kind of rude for the best around he says. read more

They tried to say the person on the reservation had to have the exact name as the person paying with a credit card - even though the person was there with ID and the same last name. First off, the employees are great and my review has nothing to do with them whatsoever. However, I have several complaints. My car was broken into overnight and several things were taken. I wasn't able to get into my house when returning home because the thieves stole my gate opener. Probably some desperate tweakers. They also stole a very expensive portable charger. At the end of the day, after paying nearly $500 between the nightly rate and the $250 deposit, it's not worth it to stay here. HORRIBLE area. And the very least the BILLION DOLLAR Hilton empire can do is have security 24/7, not just until 3am like is that a joke? On top of that, there's no Smart TV's in the rooms. There's no option to sign into Netflix or anything. Turning the tv on and discovering that only standard cable is available had me feeling like I took a time-machine back 2005. Very disappointing and a huge rip off when it comes to the TV's. What's most offending is that the TV's ARE smart TV's, they've just been programmed to only have cable on them. read more

I'm only leaving 1 star as I can not leave zero stars. This location has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. We stayed here at the Hampton inn and suites about 3 weeks ago spent $200 for 1 night thinking that we would get a nice hotel. Around 2 am someone pulled the fire alarm and woke up the whole building not knowing what was going on we woke and dressed and tried to evacuate the room and building. We were told by the security officer to go back into our room and stay put not knowing if there was a fire in the building. We were on the 3rd floor so had there been a fire we would have been in jeopardy. It took about an hour for us to be able to leave our room. Long story short some of Hemet's finest homeless got into the building and was running around naked pulling the alarm and screaming through out the hallways. We were not able to return to sleep due to all the noise and commotion. Upon check out we asked for our room to be discounted some as we never really got to sleep in it and we were told we would have to speak to the manager Georgina who was not on site at that time. We have tried to call this manager for the last 3 weeks left voice mails and messages with the desk person who claims to give them to her. With no avail we have not been able to get a phone call back nor have we gotten any credit back from our stay there. Long story short this hotel l isn't the best choice in Hemet. They do not care how their customers stay is all they care about is getting your money. We will not stay at this hotel again for sure. read more

Worst motel I've ever stayed at. Garbage dumpster was in front and overflowing. The place was so filthy I was afraid to touch anything. Everything in the bathroom needed to be replaced. It looks like a homeless encampment. The toilet overflowed and no one even took a crap. I tried to call the desk with their phone, and it was broken. I went into the office to tell them and rang and rang the bell--no one came. I called Expedia and they told me NO REFUND for the next night, cause I was not going to stay there another night. She showed total lack of my concerns basically saying I was wrong and she was not going to discuss this any further then stormed away acting very unprofessional. It was almost like she was upset in the first place to have to talk to me. She could have difused this by her tone and body language, instead she stormed off mumbling to herself out the front door leaving me standing there in the lobby. It was just an overnight stay, so I can only give limited information. I can say the staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby was clean and welcoming. The room was nice, with a mini fridge and a coffee maker, as well as a television, ironing board (and iron of course), blow dryer in the restroom and air conditioning. I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but I slept through the night with no problem at all. The free breakfast was filled with choices, and there was even fresh juice available. Staff stayed on top of making sure everything was available for the guests & brought out fresh food right away. I admit I ate a little too much. It's good to know there is a nice place to stay, if the need ever comes up again. I'm going to be sure to recommend this to anybody who may ask. read more

My experience echoes so many others. Typical Hampton Inn. No better no worse. Room is fine other than the empty water bottle on the floor.... Check in was painful. They allow you to check in online, but then force a front desk encounter by not providing the electronic key until after visiting the front desk. Never again!!! Attention Hilton & Hilton Honors members (and everyone else), this hotel is the absolute worst management I have ever experienced. Not only should they lost the Hilton franchise, but the management should be replaced. I booked an online reservation since I would be traveling in the following day. I added a name to my reservation so they could check in a day prior and conduct some training with another member of my staff & not only would they not allow them to check in (even after I checked her in electronically) but they asked her to leave the because she was not a guestbook the hotel. After I spoke with the assistant manager (who was rude and no help at all), but even the general managers wouldn't let it budge. Only after three calls to the diamond desk and several call to the hotel could I get them to accept the reservation that I booked online. I arrived the following day and presented my credit card and my diamond membership and received apology after apology.... Sorry, too late! You should have felt with me a little better when I called...additionally, I spent several hours training in the lobby and the phone was rarely answered and no front desk personal was at the front desk the majority of the day... Shame on you Hilton for allowing these standards to take place. read more

This Hilton property needs some attention. Although the front desk and breakfast areas are nicely appointed, the rooms are dated and overpriced at this location for the quality offered. First the good: check-in staff is efficient and the complimentary breakfast offers a decent selection of hot and cold items. Food is average for a Hilton property... OK, but nothing special. The not-so-good: with our AAA and Honors discounts, the nightly price was about $150. But the quality was what one might get from a much 'cheaper' chain. The room's carpeting was a bit worn, lamp shade appeared to have been through a fight (bent and torn) and the bathtub was a low quality plastic that creaked with each step while showering. Missing grout in the bathroom floor tiles told of the wear and aging of this property. Finally, the street traffic noise was constant throughout the night... and this is Hemet, a senior citizen haven without muscle cars racing... Will try another lodging alternative if we have to return to Hemet (unless Hilton renovates the property which is probably unlikely). read more

This is a really nice hotel, and probably the nicest around Hemet. Spacious and clean rooms with a contemporary and modern decor. Checking in and out were a breeze, and they serve breakfast in the morning (cereal, waffles, outmeal, etc.). But my favorite part is the "Breakfast on the go" bags available in the front desk for people who can't take advance of their breakfast buffet. The breakfast bag includes water, apple, breakfast pastry and muffin. I love this idea especially since this is the first hotel I've stayed that offers it. I highly recommend this hotel and I will surely stay here again whenever I'm in the area. read more

Yes, we have COVID so a lot of employees are not available but hotel room was dirty. Looked like bathroom wasn't cleaned (floor was filthy). Trash in the room. You have to request any service or you don't get it. Sometime s you have to ask more than once. They don't tell you that when you sign in. Also, they automatically charged my credit card $250 in anticipation of damsges. That was a first for me. Usually put a hold on your card & you're not charged unless there's room damage. Check the room out right away. I won't recommend this hotel to anyone. Just my opinion. read more

We had 4 rooms reserved for this evening for our niece's wedding which was again postponed recently. As a nurse " on the frontlines" I forgot to cancel the reservation. Not exactly my utmost priority at this time. I had hoped when I called early this morning , they would understand, but no. What about a credit to use another time at another Hilton? Not offered. What a shame. A credit would not have cost them a thing, would have raised the Hilton brand in my eyes ( my husband is a loyalty member) but now they have lost this family to their brand. Much more of a cost to them than a refund or a credit would have been. I would have loved to share this with them, but there is no way. No direct email, and the site for feedback does not work. So this was the next best thing. Poor poor service Hilton Brand. At a time when you'd want to be more helpful to gain business! read more
