COZY HOTEL w/ a NEAT LOCATION! The Hampton Inn is smack in the middle of DT Phoenix. It's about a 10 min walk away from the eateries and sports hub. Hampton has paid parking. Valet parking isn't required but it's inevitable if you want a seamless experience. Most of the valet guys were decent and brought our car out quickly. My bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. I thought the shower was nice and they had good conditioner! It was easy on my hair. The views in the room weren't the greatest, but at least we could keep an eye on our car in the valet lot. I appreciate the free breakfast which includes eggs, waffles, sausage, fresh oatmeal and juices/coffee. Although the breakfast could've been more flavorful, I accepted it for what it was. The lobby has a small nook with snacks and drinks, I spotted a microwave and frozen food too! I love the convenience of this hotel. Overall, service was solid. Alan was AMAZING, he consistently checked in and ensured our stay was great. The hotel was very clean and inviting. The only grump was some lady working the breakfast counter, she had a very unpleasant attitude. Other than that, I'd recommend this location.

Cleanliness, comfort, and views, all at an affordable price, Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown is a solid three-star hotel that puts all of downtown Phoenix within walking distance. Whether it's going to an event at the Phoenix Convention Center, visiting the ASU downtown campus, cheering the Diamondbacks on at Chase Field, or shopping at Arizona Center, Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown puts you in the middle of action. Valley Metro light rail got me to the hotel from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, and check in was smooth. I got my key card and went to my room. My room had great views of the ASU downtown campus and beyond. The room was cool and spotless; the housekeeping had made the beds well and fluffed the pillows, and the bathroom was modern, bright, and clean. The water pressure in the showers was strong, and the towels were thick and fluffy--a great way to start the mornings. The beds were great for resting in the afternoons after coming back from long walks out and about town. The staff greeted me every time I passed through the lobby, and I felt welcomed during my stay. I often headed out at dawn to grab coffee from one of the many local coffee shops in the area. In the evenings, I was a short walk from excellent food in every direction. Tacos, burgers, pub food, and more--if you want it, you can walk to it. I had a good stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Phoenix.

Very friendly staff. This is downtown. Pls note that there is no self parking. You have to pay 42 usd per night for valet parking. I missed that part whilst making the booking. We were in the midst of moving so we had a dog a cat in tow as well as a whole truck of stuff. Epic morning having to deal with that . The valets were nice. It's a pet friendly hotel. And there is a pet poop station once u exit and turn left from the lobby. Breakfast was decent. And there is also a restaurant at the lobby for weary travellers like us. We ordered a pizza and a salad. It's sufficient for us. Pretty decent. Nothing fancy. Good business hotel.

This was an amazing hotel to stay at. This is by far the best Hampton inn I've stayed at ever. The rooms were nice and spacious. The hotel employees were incredibly kind and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. And it's centrally located to a lot of things in downtown such as food options and street festivals. I originally came here because of a conference I was attending and did not expect it to be awesome. Definitely staying here again

I haven't booked at a Hampton Inn in years. I stayed here for 1 night during WNBA All Star weekend and I booked kind of late. The rate was fairly decent compared to other rooms. The location was centrally located with the footprint center, convention center, and downtown eateries located within an 8-10 minute walk. The room was really nice and clean. The service upon check in was pretty good. Unfortunately my room wasn't ready because I showed up a few hours before check in. No big deal, so we dropped our bags off at the front desk and explored a little bit. The only thing that I did notice was that every time I needed to ask someone at the desk something they weren't there. I assumed they have cameras because someone would end up coming out of the back office. I thought it was interesting to have a tip QR code in the bathroom mirror. The US tipping scene has gotten a little out of hand.

Stayed here this past weekend and enjoyed the Hampton immensely. Already a fan of the chain, I love the free hot breakfast daily and customer service they provide. Happy to say I was not disappointed. This Hampton is centrally located in downtown Phoenix and even though it has on-site dining, there are many eateries and bars within comfortable walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast is offered from 6a-10a. I arrived for check in pretty early but breakfast was over unfortunately. The young lady who checked me in offered to check and see if there was any food left for me. I declined, but I really appreciated her offer. Awesome customer service. My room was on floor 8 of 11 and offered city (stree) views but nothing spectacular. The room was very clean and housekeeping does a great job here. I do not have any complaints and I would stay here any time!

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

Turns out with the room you can get an arm band that can be for the day of check-in and then extends to through to the next day -- which was so much fun. So a few things to cover about this great JW Marriott. They have self parking which is $30 day or you can do valet which is $50 overnight -- the valet is kind of worth it because the self parking lot is a bit of a hike. Also the valet is pretty quick -- I never waited longer than 5 minutes for my car. The lobby is expansive and has two levels. They were passing out freshly baked cookies near the registration desk when we checked in! I had called for an early check in and my room was ready by 1pm. There was a bit of a line at the registration but it was a Friday and to be expected. As soon as we checked in we made a b-line for the water park/pools. There was someone checking purses before you entered -- I guess just to make sure no food or outside drink? They also wouldn't let my son bring in his football. It was already around 2pm and the place was filling up quickly -- all of the chairs around the lazy river were taken but we were able to find some chairs by the hot tub -- I guess not many people wanted to be near the hot tub on a 100 degree day -- which was great since we were kind of away from the crowds (but also no service even after asking a waiter to send someone over near the hot tub). The hot tub is huge and is overlooking the golf course -- there is a little pond there too and the kids were all fascinated by the fish (but you can't go into the pond). There was also some cool bird watching too. The lazy river is so much fun and we spent the majority of our time in the lazy river. There are three slides -- two that you go down without a tube and one that you can go down on a tube in tandem. My son convinced me to go on the slide together and it was scary but fun. There is also another pool that is just a pool -- more adults than kids. I did notice they have a splash pad for kids too -- something for everyone! Aqua Nights -- during the summer they have the water park open until 10pm. They switch the tubes over to lit up flamingo, dinosaur and donut tubes and there are lights everywhere and a big speaker with music. Totally different vibe than the daytime but super fun -- also we had no idea they were going to have a drone light show -- that was so cool -- My pics turned out really bad though, LOL. I did notice that you can buy separate day passes for the water park and for aqua nights -- it is pretty pricey though, I would suggest a ResortPass instead -- much more affordable but also so much fun worth it either way. The hotel room was standard but I think all the rooms have a little balcony which is super nice since my son sleeps for hours and I wake up early. The beds though were so amazingly comfortable -- I actually slept longer than I normally do! I did go down to Starbucks in the lobby for coffee in the morning and found the little desert botanical garden walk -- it is not long but there are some really cool saguaros and some other beautiful desert plants. The hotel literally has something for everyone -- we didn't even explore half of it. The resort fee also comes with balls to go to the driving range and there is a spa -- I need to come back and really explore a lot more but the water park is sooo much fun! We didn't check out any of the restaurants because we spent so much time at the water park they were closed (and we had to drive over to the desert ridge mall to find dinner) by the time we were done swimming. The restaurants look really nice though. Also there is an arcade off the registration area in the lobby and down a bunch of stairs -- that was fun! Biggest complaint is that the food and drinks (we only ate at the water park) were outrageously expensive -- and not amazing. The fries are pretty good but don't let them sit too long or they get all soggy in the hot Phoenix air.

Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This is a great place to stay but keep an eye on what you order. More so late at night. Also my hot wings were cold in the center but I didn't even mention it to her at the time. As a solo traveler who had just made that drive, being able to walk straight to a room and crash was everything. He took a few minutes to catch me up on what had changed since my last stay; the breakfast situation being the highlight of that conversation, which turned out to be... relevant. The next morning, after a rough experience at breakfast, I mentioned something at the front desk and Donna, the front-end manager, stepped in immediately, not defensively, but genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right.
