Hotel and as under construction and last night all water was shut off in my room. This morning I only had freezing cold water available and I had to take the coldest shower of my life. Currently here for business and a cold shower wasn't in my plans prior to a big meeting this morning. Receptionist Tee was very nice and gave me early check in - she proved to be the bright spot in my stay. The only true reason this hotel is getting any stars is because of Joseph, the night front desk clerk. When I arrived at the hotel he greeted me, he got me checked in smoothly. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to see that the pool was closed, seeing as I had booked this hotel for the breakfast included and the pool. On the way to our room it was scary to see all the stains in the carpet. Entering our room we were greeting by a wafting breeze of hot air, it was 75 degrees in the room. I understand it's Arizona but it was still very unpleasant. I immediately turned on the AC. But it was directed below the window and was blow air into the curtains. My friend decided to take a shower, and the handle of the shower came off in her hand. Along with the fact that the water would not get cool. It was scolding hot. She suffered through it. I decided to tell Joseph at the front desk because we were ready to leave. Joseph looked shocked when I told him about the shower handle and immediately tried to fix the problem. He upgraded up free of charge which was very sweet and helpful. When we got to the second room we were greeted with a cold room which was beautiful. We checked to see if the shower handle was good and the water worked which it did. We have a lovely balcony. And then I went to turn on the lights next to the bed and they would not turn on. We called Joseph and he came up to help us. He tried switching the light bulbs and nothing worked. He said he would get maintenance in here asap in the morning. I will applaud, the beds in room 221 and very soft and very comfortable. I slept quite well after our 7 hour drive and our unfortunate start to being in this hotel. The hotel in general was HOT. They had AC units in the hall but they were not plugged in, so it was super humid in the hallways. For being a free breakfast it was pretty good. Only complaint would be the styrofoam plates. Just seems like the cheapest option. But the staff was very attentive to refilling items. Just really rude customers who think it is appropriate to talk on speaker in the dining area. When I talked to the clerk in the morning about maintenance coming to fix our room she told me that there was no maintenance or managers on the weekend. Which was truly disappointing. When I asked for a refund she said she couldn't do anything because there wasn't a manager on duty. She was so rude. She was on her phone the whole time. And it seemed like an inconvenience to her to put her phone down to talk to us. Eventually after talking to Expedia we left mid day because we were not saying a moment longer in that hotel. This place needs a massive renovations. It's dirty, and gross, and not worth it to stay. read more

Chaotic, Noisy, and Managed by a Dismissive, Unprofessional GM Mira I stayed at this location Feb 2025, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had--thanks to the unprofessional and dismissive General Manager, Mira. The hotel was overrun by an EF Tours student group, with relentless noise--shouting, door-slamming, and running through the halls--continuing well into the night. It wasn't a minor inconvenience; it was hours of chaos. I personally witnessed an elderly guest begging the teenagers to be quiet, only to be ignored while the noise raged on. The night manager, Yosev, said I was at least the 5th guest to call and complain and admitted he was struggling with the situation as well, leaving guests helpless while the disruption continued unchecked. The real failure, however, came from the General Manager, Mira-her incompetence was nothing short of laughable. After returning home, I called the hotel on Feb 25, 26, & 27, leaving messages each day specifically for her. She ignored every single one. It wasn't until Feb 28--four days later--that I was finally able to make contact, and when I did, her attitude was dripping with condescension and indifference. Rather than take even a shred of accountability, she tried to gaslight me by claiming I had never complained. When I corrected her--detailing my conversation with Yosev--she barely acknowledged it before sneering, "Well, I still can't help you." This wasn't just poor management--it was gross negligence. Mira ignored multiple calls, refused to take responsibility, and treated me with outright contempt. Someone this incompetent and hostile has no business working in hospitality--let alone leading a hotel. Comfort Suites should seriously reconsider whether she's fit to represent their brand. This hotel is a disaster from top to bottom--save yourself the stress and book somewhere else. read more

Horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE! We were there for one night, and will never go back. When we arrived the pool was closed, which wasn't the end of the world. However, the room was dirty (stains, hair, dust). To top it off when we thought we left the sink running we looked in the shower and found water coming from the ceiling with mold around it. There is no chance this happened between when the last guest checked out and we checked in. We called down and were told nothing could be done because they were 100% booked. It ran all night and kept us awake. Not knowing what kind of water is was we stayed out of the bathroom the rest of the stay. In the morning, we showed video to the front desk clerk who said her general manager would be in touch about a refund. It has been 4 days and several emails later with no response. YIKES! Housekeeping has to be ordered 24 hours in advance. Web site said shuttle to airport which actually turns out to be a $12.50 Lyft ride. I probably won't stay here again. Came down for a race. So, the goal was to stay near the highway to get to the conference center and race location quickly. However, there weren't a lot of restaurants to choose from near the room. I chose not to get an uber because I was under the impression that the shuttle would take me to local areas within the three mile radius. I learned that the shuttle only takes travels to the airport. There were some issues with the room, but the hotel staff was quick to help and make adjustments! I would stay here again! read more

Noisy hotel, very obviously showing its age. The toilet was broken, so it made noise all night, which was incredibly obnoxious. The shower also had only freezing cold and scalding hot as water temperatures. Even the TV was hard to figure out. Only reason to stay here is price and necessity, would not recommend. read more

With the word "INN" I had to remind myself what that means. Not as many amenities but are good for tourists. Our rooms were clean yet had older furnishings. Our room had a big TV mounted to the wall that swivels. With the suite set up, the TV is placed so it can be watched from bed or swivels to the suite area that has a couch and ottoman. We were surprised to have a balcony. So it was nice have fresh air. It's hard to be in a hotel with temperature controlled rooms and not be able to open a window. Our room came with a microwave, fridge, hair dryer. Not enough plugs for charging phones for a family of five but we made it work. The coffee maker made pretty good coffee. The lobby has coffee and ice water with lemon which I appreciated when you're not used to dry air. And I cannot say enough about the BREAKFAST! What a spread! Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon, waffles. Cereal, muffins, toast. Fresh fruit, yogurt and instant oatmeal. They serve coffee, orange juice, and milk. It was VERY GOOD! They do have a self-serve snack area that has snacks and drinks. Just use your ATM card to pay . When I wanted a Diet Coke in the middle of the night with ice, thank goodness the snack area was there. They were plenty of parking spaces coming back at night late. As visitors, we want to get as much in while we're here in Arizona. Coming in and out of the INN, we were not greeted by the person at the front desk. The best part was that our rooms did not HAVE to be cleaned every night. They will automatically be cleaned on the third night. I think of the waste of water when rooms have to be cleaned every night. If you have kids and family to feed, the breakfast is so worth it! Comfy beds too! The AC worked well but it was loud and the bed was very close to the unit due to the size of the room. read more

Avoid this hotel at all costs. They advertise a shuttle service, but cannot get a driver, so they shunt the work to Lyft. Left stood us up twice and the hotel refused to help us, leaving us stranded at the airport. When we complained they simply canceled the Lyft and our room WITHOUT TELLING US! LOW CLASS. Poor service, impolite, uncaring, disengaged, unkind. When we spoke with the folks at the airport they communicated that the place was low quality and known for poor service and mistreatment of guests. We had an early flight so we decided to stay at an airport motel with a shuttle for the night. The room was good, the internet was good, the location was close to the airport, so we were happy. Our flight was too early to eat the motel breakfast, but the shuttle dropped us off efficiently, so we were happy with our stay. read more

We checked into the Comfort Suites hotel on 52nd street in Tempe, AZ at 3:00pm and the rooms were not ready. After about 15 minutes we were given room cards to 2 rooms. We purchased 2 rooms due to having my husbands basketball team with us. We set the room temperature to 60 degrees and when we returned at about 8:15pm, the room was muggy and hot. The A/C unit was blowing the room temp air even though it still showed "60" on the unit. At 8:30 my husband talked to the staff at the front desk who only supplied a box fan and said there was nothing they could do. At 9:00pm I went to talk to the staff downstairs due to the heat. Not only did we have our infant with us, but we were responsible for each basketball player as they are under age. I asked if we could be compensated or switched rooms and was told nothing could be done. No other room was available and no general manager until Monday to make a decision about compensation. I was handed a business card by Caylen who said I could call and leave the General Manager, Chloe Fagg, a voicemail or email. At 9:11pm I made an attempt to call and leave a voicemail but the phone line went straight to the front desk and Caylen answered. She said she was documenting the incident and was not going to call the manager because it was late at night. After hanging up I called the customer relations line and waited 19 minutes. I hung up because our room phone rang. When I picked up (9:43pm), Caylen called to say she would call next day reservations and give them until 11:00pm to respond, then said she would let us know if they didn't so that we could be switched to their room. She told me she would let us know by 10:30pm (which didn't make sense, but I waited) and during this time my husband went to the closest Walmart and purchased an A/C for $135 to provide cool air to the room. Unfortunately this didn't help and neither did cracking the door to the hallway. At 10:45 we received a call to the room where Caylen told us they still didn't have anything they could do for us but that she would document it for the manager to see on Monday. This was an extreme inconvenience for us and the basketball team. This was also highly unprofessional. Air conditioning is considered an essential need in Arizona and there are laws in place for this. I would never recommend anyone use these hotels. We frequent the area due to basketball tournaments and have found much better customer service and maintained hotels elsewhere. Anyone who lives in Arizona knows how hot it can get. These employees need training on customer interaction & making things right. read more

Came here last weekend for the Spartan race in fort McDowell. It wasn't too far from the venue, maybe 30 min. The price was decent, around $80/night. You can smell the fresh paint and see the newly laid carpet on the stairs which is nice to know that they r keeping up on their repairs. The receptionists were nice and efficient. The room was massive for the price. 2 queen size beds, a sitting area with voices and a ceiling fan and a bathroom with a shower that would make any 4 star hotel jealous. Pros- large room, quiet, price, cleanliness, heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, free breakfast Cons- pillows were lumpy. airconditioner made the room an icebox but when it's off it got really stuffy. one elevator to go up and down 3 floors was inconvenient. Selection of the continental breakfast was paltry and the same each and every day. Would've been nicer to have more hot food options and a larger seating area. Overall it was a pleasant experience and looking forward to visiting phoenix again!! read more

Let me start off with some context: we were stranded for 2 days around 2 minutes from the AZ border, and experienced homelessness during that time. We thought that this hotel would be our safe haven, but we were wrong. The hallway to our room smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana, which is baffling considering that the hotel is supposedly "smoke-free". The room was obviously run down, but the most surprising thing that immediately caught our attention was the bathroom door. Our theory was that the door was punched through, or some extremely hot coffee was thrown on it, but regardless, the door was extremely damaged. There was a used towel underneath the sink and a house roach on the wall. Also, when we walked in, we saw that the window was left open, most likely in attempts to air out any smoke. The beds were extremely comfortable but there were a couple of stains on the sheets and comforter. The AC unit was next to the bed and would turn on at random times and blow cold air towards the person sleeping on that side of the bed. We found a couple of roaches the next morning as well. Breakfast was included, which consisted of eggs, sausage, oatmeal, bread, bagels, cereal, make-your-own waffles and yogurts. The yogurts were expired and the pitcher of milk was out on the countertop with no means of keeping it cool. So would I experience homelessness again, or stay at this hotel? I'd stay here for the included breakfast and the beds, but not anything else. read more

We were looking for a place close to the airport to enjoy the last day of vacation and see the sun a little before coming home. We made reservations here and we apparently were not alone. They had a line out the door at check in time awaiting everyone to check in. That said it wasn't terrible and we finally got our room. The room was comfy and it did have a small pool which we checked out the following morning prior to our jaunt to the airport. All in all a good location and plenty of nearby restaurants within driving and walking distance. I'd give it a try again. read more

Don't stay here! False advertising! when you Google the hotel it says complimentary breakfast and airport shuttle but that's a lie. No shuttle so it costed us around $30 to use Uber and Lyft. I had chosen this hotel because it said free airport shuttle. Horrible customer service. Girl gave me attitude and basically said I was lying when I told her about shuttle service. Thankfully I had screenshot the ad and even then she was like I don't know how you got that. She acted like I made it up even after I showed her the screenshot. No apologies, nothing. Also not sure why people said it was good breakfast. Basically toast, yogurt, ran out of beacon, cold hash brown and scrambled eggs eggs and no juice, none. Room was very basic, no pictures on the wall, really felt like a big room cheaply decorated. Bed was fine and comfortable enough but for all of the above reasons I would not stay here. Oh another negative, there's nothing close by like convenience or grocery store. Nearest restaurant was about 2 miles away. We arrived late so restaurant inside hotel was closed so had to order in or otherwise pay another $30 to Uber to any restaurant close by. read more

I was billed different than what I was told over the phone: ie I was quoted (again over the phone) the lower of two rates for two nights, as opposed to the higher rate on a holiday for one of these nights (Presidents' Day), that was never mentioned (about a sixty dollar difference). The person I spoke to today (a Chelsea I think the name was) said the manager is indisposed (of course) but will call me back: as of this review (3/17/22) I have not heard back. read more

This hotel was good for our overnight stay from our trip before heading to Tucson. Going in check in was easy and getting to our room was easy to. However there was a distinct smell coming in that wasn't appealing and was through the hotel. We wanted to wash some clothes there and the washer and dryer were very out of date and the washer was leaking water. To wash and dry it was two dollars and we had to dry some clothes twice. The actual hotel room was nice the beds were really comfortable and they had a fridge with a microwave in the room as well. They had some damages on the bathroom door. The breakfast was good they had a good selection out. As far as the location it is very central. You are right by the freeway and close to stores and the airport. read more

Not a good experience at all!!! First room I got put in was right next to the exit door and all I kept hearing was the door slamming. Tub was disgustingly stained. Second room had people banging above me and I had to make repeated calls to the front desk. I had to call from my cell because my room phone was broken. Exercise room is a joke. Broken (what else is new with this place) treadmill, ancient exercise bike, and the elliptical is jammed up against the universal machine. Will definitely NEVER be staying here again! read more

When I arrived at the airport, I called the hotel for a shuttle. We were at the rental car place (within the airport) and had to take a shuttle back to the terminals so they could pick us up; a little inconvenient, but it was okay. When I got to the terminal, I called again. it was 4:08 pm. Bree, the front desk clerk, said that the shuttle should be there in 15 minutes. At 4:42, I called back. She immediately said, "oh yeah, he should be on his way. It got really busy here, I am sorry". I said fine. At 4:57, my colleague called back and Bree admitted that she forgot to call. Ugh! Bad experience in and of itself. When we get to the hotel, Bree was speaking with someone who looked like manager. The manager never spoke to us, apologized, or offered any consolation for Bree's neglect. Bree did apologize profusely, but never offered any reconciliation for her neglect- no bottle of water, not even asking us to help ourselves to the free cookies or SOMETHING. By the way, the lobby was EMPTY, so.....not sure where this huge rush came from that caused her to completely forget about us for an h0our. Oh, and it took the driver only 7 minutes to get to the hotel!!!!!!!! The room was smelly. Obviously plenty of people have smoked in that smoke free room. There was grafitti on some of the hotel items. Housekeeping forgot to come to my room the 2nd day (my last night). There is no restaurant, but if you order from the Italian restaurant off site, you may spend a little more than you'd like, but their service was AWESOME! Sad that places like this don't realize how important the customer experience is, especially when I can get online and let the world know what a crappy experience this was. Plus, I am a customer service Trainer, so I will definitely be using this experience as what NOT to do. On the positive side.......uh....err.......well the lobby is very pretty. read more

Carpeting throughout is filthy, hallways & elevator smell terrible, the pool was murky green, & no toner in the printer (so the "business office" was useless). When asked about the pool, the front desk attendant said, "Oh I'm sure it's fine. People swim in there all the time." And when asked if she could change the toner cartridge, she said she didn't know how to do that. The general manager was not available. It was a Sat at 1pm. We won't be staying here again. read more

We stayed three nights. When we first checked in the hotel clerk was not very welcoming. She was short and to the point. The first morning during, my shower, my upstairs "neighbor" started to shower as well and their water stated to Fall on me!!!! When I went to the desk and told them about this and the fact that their sofa bed was broken they told me all they could do was move me to another room, which they did. The second room, sofa bed broken as well and the shower head was so loose that when my son turned the shower on got the whole bathroom wet! What is up with their bathrooms!! Needless to say we'll never stay here again!!! read more

So I had $160 taken from my suitcase the weekend Mar 15-17. Reported this to mgmt & corporate but neither side cared. It was someone in housekeeping. There are no safes in the room or security that I saw. They supposedly did an investigation but no one is going to admit this. We are a rewards customer but apparently that has no meaning to them. Stayed about a week ago. It's quiet. Pillows were...odd. There were a bunch of small square pillows. The ice machine on my floor was out of order which really sucks when the AC doesn't work properly. Overall not to bad of a stay. PROS: Great continental breakfast with an exception. The room is large and it came with an extra living room space with a couch. Extremely helpful staff. A vast amount of t.v. channels and a fairly high quality t.v. One sockets on the bedside table lamp is a plus. The Air conditioning works. Fairly cheap compared to other places in Phoenix. Really poor experience at this hotel. While we were away from our room for about 3 hours, someone entered the room (which was locked) and stole multiple items including a wallet, souvenirs, shoes, and inexplicably, many of our used toiletries including travel shampoos, deodorant, sunscreen, lotions, and makeup. We immediately reported the theft to the front desk, but no manager was on site, the desk clerk did not have access to the video, and the manager she called would not assist. The police officer with whom we filed our report had no better luck gaining access to the video that night. When we checked out at 9 am the next day, there was still no manager on site to speak to us. The desk clerk promised she would have the manager call as soon as she got in, but two days have elapsed with zero attempts by the manager or anyone representing the hotel to reach out. It is clear the management is not taking this issue seriously, and we would never stay here again. Other than this major issue, the location is conveniently close to the airport, but the proximity to a major freeway and busy street means loud traffic noise at all hours. Not recommended. read more
