I wanted to stay at a hotel in downtown that was close proximity to all the attractions and landmarks we were planning to visit. We arrived to Hampton Inn & Suites on a Saturday afternoon during the recent President's Day holiday. The hotel is located in a very nice area in downtown Seattle. Paid parking is accessible in the parking garage and outdoor parking lot around the hotel. The hotel has bright modern decor. Lobby was clean and spacious. Ambiance was welcoming. Our 2 queen bedroom suite was cozy and roomy for our party of 4. The beds were quite comfy. I always appreciate the Hilton provided toiletries in the bathroom and shower. The usual Hampton Inn amenities such as the complimentary hot breakfast and the 24 hour water dispenser/coffee bar are always appreciated and a great touch. I found the breakfast to be a vast, hearty, and tasty spread of omelettes, sausages, potatoes, self made waffles, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, bread, and pastries. USA Today newspapers is provided as well. Since the hotel is located in downtown, unfortunately there was a high priced daily charge for parking. There was a fitness room but we never got a chance to use it. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It was a short walk to the Space Needle, Climate Pledge Arena, Chihuly Museum, Museum of Pop Culture, and the Armory Food Hall. The QFC grocery store for all your essentials is located conveniently across the street. Pike Place Market is a short drive away. Brunch spots and other restaurants are walking distance as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle downtown. The staff were nice and accommodating. The price point for the hotel was a great value. Only gripe was that there was no swimming pool or jacuzzi. Next time we are in town we will definitely be back especially when the Seattle Sonics are gonna return to play at Pledge Climate Arena. read more

I recently stayed one night here when a friend was having a medical procedure up on Hospital Hill. I used my Hilton Honors points to book, and 10 minutes later I was at the hotel lobby checking in. The front desk manager was very friendly, giving me the option of either a main floor or upper floor room, and explaining how parking worked. This place is pretty much your typical Hampton Inn, a hotel brand I've come to frequent due to their affordability, cleanliness and (of course) their free breakfast. My king, 5th floor room was no exception - it was clean (if not a bit smaller than some Hampton rooms I've enjoyed over the years, and definitely showing a little wear and tear in some places), and very adequate for my less-than-24-hour stay. Location-wise, you really can't beat this place. Even though I wasn't visiting for pleasure, it would be a great place to stay for a night or weekend in Seattle. It was right across the street from Seattle Center, and an easy walk to public transportation if you wanted to head to downtown or the waterfront. There were also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and even a QFC grocery store that was open until 1am. I felt very safe and comfortable here, including in the well-secured parking garage. I've stayed here a number of times for business purposes. It's a very simple hotel. The fitness center is equipped with free weights up to 50lbs and there are two benches, a cable machine, some treadmills, and an elliptical. It's very conveniently located to walk to Trader Joe's or Target for incidentals. I've also walked to Downtown Bellevue without any concerns. Downsides: -Can be quite loud if you lose the neighbor lottery (definitely can hear people running upstairs or the shower in an adjacent room). -Hilton Diamond benefits didn't really give me anything. I got the welcome text and asked about it and it was mentioned that I could get a snack, but the front desk did not see my diamond status attached to the room and didn't give me anything. Stayed here before our cruise. We were unable to check in early but we were able to leave our stuff at the front desk. We got a suite with two rooms with two bathrooms. It was very spacious and clean. Location is great, close to the space needle. The free breakfast was typical and well stocked. read more

So Dad and I rarely do reviews outside of restaurants but we have to say something of this stay! If we could give it 6/5 we would. The customer service is so friendly and accommodating, the breakfast is great and free. There was one day we couldn't eat the omelet but that's just cause we're allergic to bell peppers but that didn't stop our enjoyment! Oh also we're about a block from a Koger grocery store so we didn't have to worry too much about things being too far if we wanted something and their 24 hours snack shop and 24 hours hot cocoa and tea station. As Dad wanted to point out the entertainment was great too lolol. During a fire alarm glitch, I had just come out of the shower and the front desk person was so sweet in bringing me a blanket since she was worried I was cold outside. Overall this made our trip so much better! And when we come to Seattle again we will be back! read more

Wasn't planning on staying here, because of previous experiences. The location is what makes this hotel statable. This time was a little better. Our room was clean, bathroom had been cleaned. Seems like a newer hotel. Much cleaner and updated than the other Hampton Inns Seattle. Amazing customer service. Free hot breakfast 6-10a weekdays. Room do not have bathtubs. Rooms are very big, super clean and nicer compared to other Hampton Inn. I love you cannot hear your neighbors door slam as loud as other locations. Cost was $279 on 6/19/24 which is more than other Hampton Inn but walking distances to downtown (.04 to space needle). Ask for a room with the view of the needle. I was more impressed with this hotel than I thought I would be. It's actually pretty clean and the location is great and within walking distance of several restaurants, a grocery store, and coffee. The breakfast buffet was better than most hotel breakfasts, but as usual, very crowded. Parking sucks!! No surprise. I paid the park in the secure garage ($30/night). Even getting my Camaro in and out of there was a little tight. I would not recommend taking in a larger vehicle. Housekeeping was a bit rude but the rest of the staff seemed nice. read more

Would highly recommend!! We spent a couple nights here before our Alaskan cruise and we still spoke highly of the hotel breakfast after the cruise breakfasts were getting to be the same-old thing. My husband still talks about the scrambled eggs lol. The breakfast was the best part for us and I liked how the options changed every other day. Even the waffle batters changed flavors! Our room was very clean and comfortable. I got to pick our room ahead of time on the app and check-in was quite smooth. The area is pretty decent with a short walk to the Space Needle and some other sights. It definitely didn't have a "downtown" feel like the name suggests, but you might be able to find a good coffee shop nearby when you get tired of the 24/7 coffee in the lobby ;) read more

I'm just going to start of by saying PARKING SUCKS. They charge $30.00 a night for self serve parking. If you're not going to leave the hotel much go for it. If you're going to go in and out it sucks. I had a Ford f150 and could not find any type of parking. I tried going into the parking garage that is one way in and one way out. All the spots are compact so you'll have to take two spots like everyone else. Now to the hotel. All the staff up front were very nice and the lobby is very clean and nice inside too. My room was very clean and nice. I like how the TV has Netflix too. There is breakfast buffet every morning. I give the hotel a 4.5 star but the parking situation a 0/5 stars. Such a cute and clean property! I've worked in the hotel/hospitality industry for so long that I'm extremely critical about hotels. The front service agent was extremely friendly and streamlined the check in process. We live in Washington but only stayed overnight in Seattle for a concert at climate pledge, and super thankful we did that. Super clean and modern rooms, the breakfast spread was amazing! The parking was gated (yes it was $30 more but worth it!) How can you beat that??!! Obviously, you can't lol! read more

Updated May 2023 I returned to Seattle recently and decided to stay at this Hampton Inn, due to its great location in proximity to Amazon's campus while I was traveling on business. I was delighted too that the hotel upgraded my room to a very large king suite! Room 601 is at the endo of the hall (which I prefer) and had windows facing both South and East. The window facing South has an extraordinary. View of the Space Needle, which was very impressive, especially at night. My room was just wonderful, spotlessly clean, very nice bathroom, super comfortable king bed, sofa, large TV, work desk area, sink, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and wall mounted garment hanger. The only thing I noticed missing, was a full-length mirror and the bathroom amenities were missing (i.e., soap and shampoo/ conditioner), which was an easy fix at the front desk, just a detail that housekeeping really needs to be mindful of. Also, the tiny pillows, I reported in my 2017 review have apparently been replaced with standard sided pillows, which I was glad to find! The breakfast area has plenty of seating however the area where they offer food is often filled with guests and tends to be cramped to move around in the space. All the members of the front desk staff I encountered were very friendly and accommodating as I need to leave my roller bag at checkout to hold while I attended a business meeting, which was no problem for them to do and was easy to retrieve when I returned before heading to the airport with Uber. I defiantly would consider staying at this property the next time I have to make a business trip to Seattle for business or pleasure! read more

I really enjoyed my stay at Hampton Inn in "downtown" Seattle. It's not exactly in the heart of downtown but its proximity to the Seattle Center and grocery store makes it a perfect spot during your stay in the city. Our room came with two queen beds even though we had originally booked a king size bedroom. The room was very clean and spacious, with plugs literally everywhere for you to charge your items. Our room came with a mini fridge as well as a microwave which was a huge perk. Bathrooms were spacious although I'm not a huge fan of showers with drapes - water can seep through and get on the bathroom floor. There is also an ice machine on each floor. Given that the building is only four floors tall, we never had to wait long for the elevators so it was quick to get in and out of our rooms to the exits. The gym and dining room are both on the first floor which makes it really convenient to stop on through before you get started with your day. As of November 2021, their breakfast buffet on the first floor is back and is all self-serve. They provide boxes as well if you wanted to take food back to your room. They offered a good variety of hot and cold items and there were even some vegan friendly options, such as oatmeal, fruit, and the occasional potatoes. Its location near the Seattle Center is again VERY convenient, even if you just want to do an evening stroll through after dinner. We loved being able to see the Space Needle outside the hotel (but not in our rooms sadly) and always knew there was an area where we could safely go for a walk. We'd definitely stay at the Hampton Inn once more for a really affordable and great hotel experience. read more

I had a 4-night stay at this hotel. The room was perfect. We had a one bedroom suite that included a sitting area, a full size refrigerator,dishwasher, sink, microwave, plates, cookware, and utensils. The bed was comfy and there was even a small balcony with a view of the Space Needle. I'd give the room a 10/10. The service is where this hotel severely lacks. Upon check in I had a great experience! The woman at the desk explained everything to me including breakfast times, gym times, how to get to the elevators, etc. She even provided me with the snack bag that Hilton members get. Her service was great, but beyond that I had nothing but difficulties. I had to make 2 separate reservations due to booking part of the reservation with points. On the third day I had to go downstairs to re-check into my room. The female at the desk barely spoke and handed me the key without any pleasantries. That same day we took the do no disturb sign off of the door to have housekeeping come to replace the towels. We left for about 2 hours, and came back to notice that our room had not been serviced. I saw the housekeeping cart past our room so I knocked on the door and went in to ask if she would come back to our room. The housekeeper seemed not to speak English and told me to call the front desk. I did, and the front desk said they would make sure we got our room serviced. While we were packing up to go back out the housekeeper burst into the door, no knock, no warning, nothing. I'm sure their policy is to knock and announce yourself but she seemed disappointed that she had to do her job that day so she decided to burst in. Lastly, I went downstairs to inquire about a late checkout. I stood at the desk for 3 minutes in front of the clerk unacknowledged. She was clicking around on the computer When she finally did say something she asked, do I have a question. Of course not, I'm just standing here for no reason staring at you... This Hampton Inn is definitely an older property that could use some updates. Common areas and rooms look a bit worn down, and the elevators border on sketchy, and while they've done partial updates in rooms (new bathroom countertops, maybe new bathroom floors, newer showers, newer bedding), the carpets are older, and the rest of the rooms are a bit dated. I saw it mentioned in some other reviews and thought it was an odd thing to say, but after experiencing it, it is worth saying - the shower floors are incredibly squeaky. Like, almost scary, like they're going to give way squeaky. Just something to be aware of. The first room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke. It's a smoke free property, and it was clear that whoever had smoked in the room had done so very recently. I was shocked it hadn't been dealt with by housecleaning. I went to the front desk to ask for a different room, and he was very surprised, but was able to accommodate me, which was great. I got the sense they were pretty full, so I ended up in a different room type, but that was fine. All the staff I came into contact with (two front desk staff) were pleasant and helpful. I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to bedbug concerns. I'd read the property is very clean, but I still did my own brief investigation of the mattress and bedding. The bed had two mattress protectors, one that wrapped around the whole mattress, and a second that just covered the top. The mattress itself had no signs of bedbugs, and neither did the bedding. The mattress itself was fairly comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. Their breakfast spread is fine, standard for a Hampton Inn. They always have some kind of egg, some kind of meat, and some version of potatoes. They also have a waffle station, cold cereals, some pastries, and whole fruit. Very reliable. All in all, a perfectly fine stay, and affordable for the area. Not as nice as other Hampton Inns I've stayed in previously, but not bad. read more

Hadn't been to Seattle in over 15 years and wasn't sure where to stay but found this place on either AARP or AAA at a good rate back in March so I booked it. Nice accommodations, friendly and courteous staff. Neighborhood seems quiet and lots of places nearby within walking distance. I would've given this place 5 stars but there were a few flaws. Sofa & chair were rock hard! Not comfortable at all. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear the guests above us walking as the floor was creeking. Parking costs 15.00/day which we knew about when booking but I feel it should be included. Cold breakfast is available due to covid so I was disappointed about that as you can dine in at restaurants out here. Lastly, finding your way to your room from the parking garage can be somewhat tricky, almost like a maze. Despite the flaws I would still recommend especially if you like restaurants coffee shops and the space needle within walking distance plus other areas of interest close by. read more

This Hampton Inn is a super nice hotel, you don't regret staying here. The staff are incredibly nice here and very accommodating. This was probably the best customer service I have ever recieved at a hotel! Also, they offer free water bottles at the front desk, just ask them. The room was great! We would've liked a little more space, but the room was clean and the a.c. worked well. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious and the shower was nice. Everything else, the tv, mini fridge, and telephone were in great working condition. The only negative I would say is the breakfast wasn't great. Because of covid you have to fill out a sheet of what you want and then they'll bring it out to you. However, the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich came in a frozen package that you had to microwave. It wasn't very good and the menu was pretty limited. Also parking can be a pain if you have to park in the "underground" parking. It's very tight and the spots are small. Overall, a great place to stay if you're looking for a spot in Seattle! read more

We stayed ONE night and had ONE car. We had to change rooms bc the room we initially had was Disgusting! There was feces splattered on the toilet seat. The walls were all scuffed up. The outlets were busted/broken. The fireplace had broken pieces of metal and dirt and rocks everywhere. We changed rooms and the fire alarm was broken and hanging from the ceiling. Then they "mistakenly" double charged us for parking. I've spoken with several people and have been told the parking fees would be returned. It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received a refund. Other than the location, this place doesn't uphold the Hilton quality that I'm used to HHonors Gold - front desk won't greet you or thank you for being a loyal Hilton Honors member. They also won't give you the complimentary snacks or water bottles unless you ask for it Business Center - Doest not exist Complimentary Wi-Fi - it doesn't work, they expect you to contact their External IT to resolve it on your own. I was told by external IT that only certain rooms are having these issues. I ask the Front Desk for a room with a wi-fi that works, they claim it's not room dependent. I ask for a Cat5e cable so I can connect to the wall, they said not available. Oh did I mention there's no Business Center? Did the front desk try do anything to try and attempt to resolve the issue - nope. Digital Check in - they won't approve on this place unless they see you in person due to "fraud" - sure I guess I'll buy that. You won't have the opportunity to select your own room via the HHonors app. Will I return here? Nope If there's was another Hilton property nearby, I would have already cancelled the rest of my stay in this property. EDIT: Changing it from 2 stars to 4 stars We're transferring to a different Hilton property thanks to Hilton Customer service. The local management apologized for the inconvenience - they covered our first night and made sure not to charge the remaining 2 nights. read more

We stayed in a suite for 3 nights while visiting Seattle. We arrived early, maybe around 10 am and there was a room ready when we got there, that's always nice when you take an early flight! I want thanked for being a Hilton Honors Diamond member and I had to ask for the bottled waters. I know those aren't huge issues but it's something we've come to expect since it's normal practice at Hilton properties. We got up to the room and were happy with the layout, the fireplace, the kitchen and separate bedroom. Having a sliding glass door to the balcony was nice, it was nice to listen to the raindrops with the slider open. The room was pretty clean, a couple of stains on the carpet and the bathroom floor could have used a little more attention, but it was not an issue. The Hampton breakfast was just like any other Hampton. The only reason this property only gets 4 stars is- there were only 3 sets of towels, the staff wasn't overly friendly, when I asked for a late checkout I was told to check back later (another diamond perk). We were given until noon, not too bad. Location is great, close to the Space Needle, Mopop and Chihuly Glass, and a couple of grocery stores. read more

This Hampton Inn as listed "Downtown" is misleading. The hotel is not in the downtown business district. It is primarily in a residential area with a couple of Mom and Pop ethnic eateries within a block or two. The floor plan of the hotel is horrible. It is misleading if you look at the map on their website. Not enough space and time to go into details on the floor plan. It is the worst Hampton Inn floor plan I have ever experienced. In my room we noticed filth and debris between the TV/refrigerator furniture and the wall. Unfortunately I did not think at the time to take photos to document this. Finally, my wife and I discovered that the hotel room walls are obviously "thin". Shortly after retiring for the evening, we can clearly hear the people in the next room have sexual relations. After staying at Hampton Inns within the past year, we have reached the conclusion that this hotel chain quality have diminished. read more

First of all it's not cheap to stay here and I had to call them to fix my broken sliding door.The sofá is not comfortable,bed is not comfortable at all,also the room does not give the 2 bottles of waters it's only for gold members !!! Whatever that means ‍‍‍ In the morning came to have a cup of coffee and no dark roast,I asked if they can make it and I was told they don't make dark roast on Saturdays and Sundays !!! Went to front desk and she had them bring me one cup of barely warm coffee and on Saturdays they only put out 1 waffle maker and no waffle spray for hundreds of people !!! So your waiting in this long line to make your waffles and to top it off for sticky waffles because no non stick spray on the weekends,but yet during the week they have 2 waffle makers and non stick spray NOW does that makes sense ?? Let me start with the good... The guy who was working drying the day, is super sweet! I cant remember his name, started with an L, tall, long straight black hair (His nails were also on point!). He was phenomenal! I like how close it is to the Space needle, museum of pop culture, Chihuly garden and glass, and there a grocery store right across the street. Seattle Center had tons of food options, so the location is a good one... Now here are my issues... The walls are super thin. Parking is a JOKE! Its $30.00 a night to park, and the garage is tiny and full of incredibly small compact spots. When we checked into our room, we were tired after a long day, we ordered door dash, and went to bed. The next morning... ok it was afternoon (don't judge me!) when we work up my daughter and were getting ready to head out. She handed me the remote and it was disgusting. I don't know what the hell was on it, but ewwww. I keep wipes in my purse and I cleaned it off, but it was still super sticky. Then I notice something sticking out of the pillow on the bed my daughter was sleeping on. It was a vape pen. I about lost my cool on my daughter thinking it was hers. She has a tell when she's lying, and she didn't have it. I grilled her, and I do believe that its not hers. It was also very dead so it had not been charged. So now we have a dirty crusty remote, and a vape pen in our room. I called the front desk and Mr. L was very apologetic and said he was getting house keeping up to our room to give it another clean. We headed out and when we came back the beds were made, and the towels we used that morning were replaced but that was about it. The remote was still sticky and right where I left it. We only stay Hilton properties and are Diamond. I was not thrilled with this property... I wanted to leave and find another hotel, but didn't want to have to deal with waiting for the refund and paying for another hotel. I am writing my first bad review. I was traveling with 4 other girlfriends to the San Juan Islands in August. We had our last night reserved in Seattle at this hotel. The day before we had cause to go home a day early so called to cancel our reservation. On August 5th we spoke to Keven to cancel. He assured us our cancellation was in a timely order and approved. It has been several months and tons of phone calls and we've finally been told our reservation went thru a third party called Hotel Beds and that they would do the refund. I had a hard time finding a phone number for them and then have called serverl times. Once being told it was an airplane consolidator, another being put on hold and then disconnected and so on. I realize $550.00 might not be a huge amount for some people but it is for me. I am very disappointed in Hampton Inns and Hilton. I expected a more professional attitude and a timely refund. From check in to leaving it was really good experience.....with one exception my STAR could have been a 4. But the staff at the front desk, and housekeeping are not at fault for the loud failing A/C unit. We were on the 6th floor. It was loud. I went to the front desk and got ear plugs. I see in previous reviews about paying for parking. Hard to find a Hotel in Seattle that doesn't charge for parking in a garage. Given the small parking spots we backed in. But it was dry and secure....so not a big deal to us. If you have an Electric car there are charging stations. Our room was very clean. Beds are very comfy with soft fluffy pillows. Continental Breakfast area is open again. I had blueberry waffles and coffee. I want to really give a shout out to the front desk. Extremely friendly and efficient. Pre-COVID, I would spend many nights each year in hotels. Through that experience, I've come to learn that one of the true marks of a good hotel is how they respond when something goes awry. I had a situation where something mechanical related to my specific room went awry and became a real problem. The details are not important here. What is important is that Shelby at the front desk put in a lot of effort to try to address the issue, displayed genuine empathy for how it was impacting me and my family, communicated clearly, and ultimately resolved the situation in a way that really impressed me. In fact, working in a related industry myself, I know that these are the kinds of folks we like to hire. Well done, Shelby! As for the hotel itself, the location is fantastic - very close to the Seattle Center, a short walk to many good restaurants, and convenient to downtown. It also has easy access to Interstate 5. There is on-site parking, including a garage. The spaces in the garage reflect what I saw all across central Seattle, which means tight spaces. That's just normal. You won't want to wheel a Ford F-250 truck into there, but I believe they have a separate area for larger vehicles, and the outdoor parking spaces are wider. Our room was a suite, and it was exceptionally well-equipped. It was like an apartment. Being able to re-heat leftovers and have access to plates was a real plus for us. The hotel takes their COVID protocols very seriously - thankfully. Overall, not including the issue that we encountered, the hotel was already a 5/5, and considering how well they addressed the problem we did face, that reinforces the 5/5. My husband and I booked this hotel for two nights while visiting Seattle on a road trip. The day front staff were absolutely amazing!! The room was very clean, the location was great and they gave us free bottles of water. :-) They are currently not serving their breakfast due to the restrictions from covid in the area. It's about a 1 mile walk to the market on the waterfront. The museum of Pop Culture and the Space Needle are also nearby. Highly recommend! read more

This was a fantastic stay! Super safe and cute neighborhood, "uptown". Security patrols all night which made us feel even safer. The hotel room was very clean and had a nice balcony. The breakfast is also delicious and employees were always helpful! We got a huge suite for a FANTASTIC price! There's also this cute little pizza shop across the street with a little speakeasy bar & they have the BEST pizza! They're open late too so if you're a night owl, it's perfect. There's also a bar next door and it's okay (that's for a different review lol). I will def be staying here again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!! read more
