Silver cloud is a great as far as convenience goes. They almost always have rooms and believe the hotel itself is relatively newer and/or remodeled.. lots of parking around the hotel, and they close/lock all entrances besides the main after hours which is nice for safety. TV's could use an update but beds are comfy and rooms are clean The staff was really friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had., Also the breakfast is actually a nice spread, waffles, eggs, sausage etc!! Decent coffee:) All in all very pleasant stay at silver cloud and will be back :)

CLEAN! Thoughtful toiletries, like cotton balls & Qtips.. huge TV. Comfortable beds. Quiet, we stayed on 3rd floor (4 total).

CLEAN! Classy and comfortable.. 55" TV. Super comfortable beds. Complimentary toiletries like cotton balls and Qtips were thoughtful! Quiet, stayed on 3rd floor (4 total). Although if you are a light sleeper, make sure your room isn't across from the ice machine. I forgot to take pictures when we arrived. Very friendly staff. 6 minutes away from Seattle Childress Hospital - we received a $50 discount for staying the night - since it was only because our daughter had an appointment the next day at the hospital. So sweet! Room included microwave, Fridge, coffee pot, ice bucket, shampoo/conditioner/lotion/body wash/cleansing bar/hand soap bar/shower cap/ice bucket, alarm clocks with charging plug ins, umbrella, iron..

Generous size spaces. $15 per night

I would not call myself a fan (4 stars) but I think this hotel deserves more than 3 stars (A-OK). The location is great and the hotel amenities are very good, but something you will immediately notice once you step into your room is that this hotel is dated. It is clean, but you may feel you were misled if you'd seen the photos on the hotel website. HOTEL or MOTEL? (that is the question!) The front desk and lobby definitely give you the impression that it's a hotel, but once you step into your room, it feels like a high-end motel or low-end hotel. As I already mentioned, guest rooms are dated (see my photo of the love chair). The first thing you see entering the room is the sink, reminiscent of a motel! I can let pretty much anything slide because it was clean, though. LOCATION (5 stars) It's only about 5 minutes away from the University of Washington. It's only a block away (5 minute walk) from University Village, a mall. There are restaurants near the hotel and at the mall. GUEST ROOM (3 stars) Clean and spacious, but once again dated. A nice steady desk, along with free Wifi, was useful for me. You can find basic amenities, such as a microwave, a mini fridge, and an iron. Something I thought lacking was small things like cotton swabs, a shower cap (although I don't use them) that you would often find in hotel guest rooms. HOTEL SERVICES (4 stars) FREE SHUTTLE: I was pretty impressed that they have a complimentary shuttle service within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. The shuttle runs on the hour and half hour between 7am and 10pm. BREAKFAST: Complimentary breakfast is served in the Bar and Bistro from 6:30am to 9:30am Monday through Friday and from 7:00am to 10:00am on the weekend. Mostly baked goods (bread, pastries, waffles, cereals) but they also have a few hot food items (scrambled eggs, sausage). If you stay here with kids, they would enjoy the breakfast. I was not excited but was happy nonetheless because I didn't have to go out to get breakfast. OTHER SERVICES They have an exercise room and laundry room, too. PARKING (4 stars) The lot is lit, and there are security cameras, but it is not gated or covered. The parking spaces are generous in size (photo). Self park only, and $15 per night. I don't know why they charge us for parking at all, but $15 is not bad at all compared with $50~$60 a night in downtown Seattle. CONCLUSION If I have business at the University of Washington, I will probably stay here again. If not, I would stay somewhere else, probably at a hotel in a different neighborhood. ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. Spend three days there as I was visiting the University of Washington. It is a nice hotel, conveniently located close to campus with a free shuttle service to a 3 mile radius. Rooms are small but relatively clean. My room (1 king bed, first floor) was in need of maintenance. For example, the shower head was falling apart ... There is a fair portion buffet-stye complimentary breakfast offered at the restaurant bar, and a relaxing happy hour. I liked the modern decor of the reception area, and I wish a similar style could be found in rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, a positive experience... and I would consider getting back.

While the hotel was fine to stay in, I have proof positive that they resold my email address to spammers because I use a unique email address for every business. I personally refuse to do business with companies that treat customer information as a commodity available to the highest bidder. I have attached a screenshot of the spam that was sent to this unique address, as well as a list of other messages sent to the exact same address. Companies that use such practices need to be held accountable.

There's only a small area for parking in front of the hotel and it's also the spot for Valet. You'll likely have to post up in the travel lane to check in or drop off your car. The hotel has some unique amenities but I wasn't able to use them for such a short stay. The King corner room far exceeded my expectations. It's spacious and felt pretty luxurious. The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

The staff was friendly, but not exceptional. Rooms are clean, and comfortable, but for the room night cost, I've had much better experiences for the same money. One stand out is the gentleman at Rosebay craft cocktails serving wine at the 3 o'clock hour. He was exceptional.

I had a great stay at The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown and would definitely consider staying here…read moreagain. I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The front desk had a room available for me a little earlier than normal check-in and had wonderful suggestions for a little snack around the hotel. The room is much more spacious than pictures can show. I really enjoyed the two separate seating areas. The window area settee was the perfect place for a snack and using my laptop to prepare for the next day. The closet has more than just two hangers, which I appreciated being able to hang the clothes that needed to be hung and steamed later. The bed was soft, but not overly so and the charging options on the nightstand helped me keep some of my electronics packed and neat. Being in Downtown Seattle, I really didn't feel like I needed a car. The Sound is situated in a great place to just walk where I needed to go. Less than five minutes away from Westlake where I could catch either the monorail or Link, was very convenient for me. I enjoy walking around to get familiar with the area I'm in and there was so much to see!!! I will be back to The Sound for my next Seattle adventure!

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.

The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years.
