Bed pooled pretty lumpy when we checked in but slept very comfortably. Room nice and large. No real amenities for gold except a snack and a water but all good. Only issue was they were consistently out of something at breakfast, yogurt one day, grits another or coffee another. They change the breakfast up a little each day and it's pretty decent. I admit first impressions were not so good, but after two nights there, it is a good place for the price. We were met with away from the desk sign when we tried to check-in. The place is well worn and shows but the room was clean and the housekeeping staff nice. Great location near several restaurants within walking distance. Good location. Spacious room in good condition, large fridge, microwave, etc. Hot shower with shower head tall enough for me (tall guy). Bed was ok, room was quiet despite an onslaught of high school band kids. The breakfast was decent though badly depleted by said horde of high schoolers, though quickly recharged. They charge for internet (very 1980s-ish) unless you join their rewards program. And it seems a bit understaffed at the front desk though nobody was slacking. Not particularly low priced. read more

The front desk clerk was very friendly. Our room was clean with plenty of space. The bathroom door was a sliding door with no handle, so pretty much impossible to close, and it would not slide. The room door did not close properly either. The bed was comfy but the sheets were very wrinkled. It didn't look slept in, just like they had been waded in a ball. 1st time ever staying. We were tired from driving and noticed they were next to a good restaurant. I was impressed when we entered and greeted. One older lady was super nice. We stayed 4 nights and for Waco that's a long time. Room nice ,clean, nice kitchen area, minus stove. Microwave is all you really need anyway. Good size refrigerator and freezer. For left overs....lol if any. Or in our case water and pop. Bed nice for a hotel. Always could be softer. Now for shower.....walk in so loved. Shower head was terrible and old! Tried to adjust downward so not to get my hair wet.......everyday. It was mounted really high and I'm tall. Breakfast looked good but we only get coffee or maybe a banana. Our experience at the Waco Homes2 Suites was subpar in comparison to other locations, especially considering the cost was comparable or even higher! I was also surprised the exterior was not as well maintained as other Hilton locations because the plants and flowers were looking at bit sad. And, the parking lot should be treated for ants and could use repaving. It seems as though aspects of the interior have been renovated but they definitely overlooked other aspects. The bathroom, specifically the shower, was awful. The room, excluding the bathroom, was clean but very tired and in need of renovation. Several of the plugs did not work either. If you are staying in Waco, I'd recommend selecting a hotel downtown or near the shopping area. read more

I don't know how this place got a 4.6 stars or anything over a 4 with the dirty rooms. It's a popular place bec at 10:30pm there's slim pickings for parking. The receptionist was super friendly and nice and deserving of high stars. The lobby and gym look clean and inviting. Room 331 looked great upon entering until I noticed the dishwasher door panel was really filthy. I told hubby everything else looks good so housekeeping must have just missed it. Then I went into the bathroom and seen long brown hairs and pubic hairs on the light floor and looked around to see room 331 has not been cleaned bec the carpet is dirty too. Vacuuming wasn't done. Hubby went to wash his bald head before bed and there is no hot water coming out of bathroom spigot plus there's no pressure and the drain is backing up so he couldn't wash his head. I told him we will not be able to shower in the morning so it'll have to wait until check in at the next hotel. He tested the shower and there is hot water and pressure is okay. The bathroom needs a lot of TLC. Fresh caulking in shower and new paint on door will take it to a higher level and doesn't cost much. When crawling into bed I noticed hard orange stuff on the cover so I pulled it off to the ground and discovered I'll be sleeping with a sheet only. With that being said I think I'd stay somewhere else next time since there are so many options. After sleeping or the lack of, I'm dropping these stars. The bed closes to the door of room 331 is trashed. It's lumpy and uncomfortable and you slide to the center. The pillows weren't comfortable either. Again, the staff at the reception desk are awesome and that's the reason for 2 stars, but after hearing person above us stomping when walking and squeaky bed every time they move, plus the person next door had the tv on loud and all night/morning, on top of trying to get comfortable in the crappy bed....we would not stay here again. read more

It all started whenever I first arrived. I got basically harassed and was told that I 'snuck' my service dog in. I DIDNT! She walked in on a leash right in front of the front counter. The lady, however, did apologize once I showed her the tags and paperwork. She did not ask to see them but I almost felt like I had too. We stayed 2 nights, on the second day whenever we left to go to my husbands dad, we got back to our room around 3pm, there wasn't any clean linens-no clean towels and wash cloths- trash wasn't taken out. Nothing had been done! All they had done was maintenance had come and fixed the kitchenette sink where it would drain. I called the front desk, she said, 'we don't clean rooms every day.' I said, okay! Also- they have no water pressure in the shower. read more

Pretty nice place to stay. Just two one major flaws. #1: The hotel is beside mighty I-35, the carotid North-South transportation artery of Texas, and the noise NEVER ceases. #2: The shower water never got hot, just slightly warm. If you've read my reviews, there are four things to a good shower for me. high water pressure, high-up shower head, non-narrow footing, and good hot water, which has never been an issue until staying here. Got business at Baylor, this place is just a mile away. Water did heat up the following day. read more

Bobbie is a such a great front desk agent. So nice to be welcomed warmly after driving the behemoth UHaul from College Station. She even recognized me as a Gold member and made sure to give use water and snacks. We really like these hotels because the rooms are freshly appointed without a lot of glitz and and are affordable. The bed is firm and super comfortable. The AC works well which is very important in Texas summers. Was pleasantly surprised they had coffee and breakfast available. The Homewood Suites in College Station had nothing! Another reason to pick Home2 Suites. And they made a pineapple out of the kitchen towel. How cool is that? read more

Home 2 is similar to Hilton's Homewood Suites but its more boutique. The room was very modern and clean with bright colors. The room came with a kitchenette that included a sink, microwave, full fridge, plates and utensils. I really liked their black out blinds. It completely blocked out the sunlight and I'd love to incorporate them in my home since its something I've never seen before. We had a studio but the room included a curtain to separate the bed area and the sofa area. The hotel included a hot breakfast, coffee/tea available any time in lobby, and free wifi and parking. The hotel has a different housekeeping schedule from other hotels. They gave us plenty of shampoo and body wash since the shower had a dispenser of these items (and they smelled great too). We'd definitely come back if we visit Waco again. read more

This was a decent location for us during a long road trip through the Southwest US. Room was ok. They have a nice breakfast here as well. Not Embassy Suites nice, but did the job...cereal, oatmeal, fruit, waffle maker, juice, pre-made breakfast sandwiches. Several decent restaurants real close, including Magnolia Table (one of the main reasons we came to Waco). It's across the highway as is Rudy's BBQ. Bubba's 33, a good food option, is in the same parking lot as Home2 Suites as is a Starbucks. Rooms are spacious with a kitchenette. We got a rollaway bed as we had to sleep 5. We stayed 2 nights. The kitchen staff were very nice and helpful. I am unsure of her name. We did love talking to Ruby who has been there since it opened. She was a great woman. The cleaning lady on our 3rd floor was rude. We spoke to her and she walked right past us with her head up. First off and foremost, the majority of my review rating is going to consider 3 things - 1) how clean the bathrooms are in the room 2) how comfortable I am laying down in the sheets of the bed in the room 3) how accessible, and the amount of room that is in the fitness area. With that being said, I stand firmly by my 5 star review. I would include breakfast in the rating, but I really don't care about breakfast. Here at Home2 Suites, it's free, so if you're going to complain, do it at the motel 6 down the road. First time staying here, and I have no complaints about anything at all. Well there was a little kitty cat outside that didn't want to let me pet her, that kind of sucked, but other than that I really enjoyed my stay. We usually stay at the Hilton on the River here in Waco, but if the Hilton is full, I will be just as happy to stay at this new Home2 Suites they've built. This hotel is amazing everything is clean, comfortable and accommodating. The breakfast staff Donna and Karen are SO kind and truly made mine and my best friends stay that much more enjoyable. They both gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do on our girls trip and we had SUCH a great time because of there suggestions. Every morning they had a beautiful smile on there faces and were truly happy to help us with anything we needed. We both 100% will come back and stay at this hotel because of our wonderful experience, the front desk staff was also amazing. This hotel seems relatively new. Decent stay. It is a two star hotel.as you can see from the lack of quality finish in the room and bathroom..they had a curtain for the 'closet'space. The bathroom door was hard to slide to a close. The shower tub was cheaply constructed. But, overall it was clean and it did the trick for an overnight stay. Opened in July of 2016, this hotel is still as clean as the day it opened. Overall the hotel has a European feel to it, very contemporary and modern. The staff has been outstanding, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a nice size, and offer plenty of room to spread out and work if needed. This is intended to be an extended stay hotel, each room offers a good size refrigerator, microwave and cooktop. The breakfast offers the usual, the one thing different is if you are looking for anything hot other than a waffle or toast, you can choose from prepackaged items such as egg sandwiches or omelets which you then microwave. The all day coffee was nice to have as well. For the price point of the hotel I'm happy with my choice. read more

I spent Christmas night and the next night at Home2 Suites while I was in Waco for the funeral of a family member. I liked being able to choose my room online the day before and appreciated getting a text the morning of my arrival saying my room was ready early. There was a good assortment of breakfast items including oatmeal. For meat-eaters there were egg and sausage dishes that could be microwaved. I wish there had been a vegetarian or vegan option for protein, but I managed with the oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt (and plenty of coffee). This is a new hotel and everything was very clean. Stayed at this hotel for a ladies weekend in Waco. The whole experience was great. We were greeted by the front desk clerk, given complimentary waters (Hilton Honors perk) and checked in quickly. The front desk clerk, Cici, was extremely friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms on the 1st floor. Both had 2 queen beds, a sofa & chair, desk area, lots of storage shelves and an open closet. The kitchen had a sink, microwave, refrigerator (small full sized fridge), a dish washer, glasses, plates, cups and utensils. Very good set up! The complimentary breakfast was fully stocked with a waffle station, baked goods, omelets, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. The staff that serviced the breakfast area was friendly and kept everything clean and well stocked. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They were all smiling, eager to help and provided information and maps of Waco. Check out was seamless and easy. Highly recommend this Hilton. read more
