I stayed here for 11 nights in April 2024 and it was clean, quiet, well located and had everything I needed. As a solo, senior female traveler (work), I am picky about the hotels I stay in. What made this hotel special was Donna in the breakfast room ( immaculate), Grace ( front desk) and Alex (facilities). Each day I was greeted with a genuine smile and a kind word. Donna, in particular, took care to make sure I had everything I needed. My only minor issue was some stained towels in the room when I arrived, but this was remedied ( white is hard to keep clean). This is a lovely Hampton Inn and a good value for the area. I will definitely return if sent to the Worcester area. read more

The staff had a horrible attitude. The guy at the desk was sleeping at night while watching a loud porn movie. AND I had an incident involving domestic violence which they CHOSE my ex side. When I called to get the evidence ,because it was on camera they kept hanging up on me in the manager Brenda was on vacation for more than a week.. I would never ever recommend this hotel. read more

Very good experience at the Hampton in! My boyfriend, myself, and 2 friends stayed here last minute for 2 nights during a weekend wedding. We originally were going to stay at the la Quinta down the street- we were so uncomfortable there we called around and the Hampton was able to book us in immediately for the 2 nights WITH A DOG extremely last minute. Us and my 2 friends both were in our own rooms and comfortable within 20 minutes of our initial phone call. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, everything was easily accessible and we enjoyed our stay. It had everything you need for a short stay and the breakfast in the morning was pretty good as well. We'd definitely stay again! read more

So I wrote my previous review, please see below because frankly it made ME lol (not to toot my own horn but, you know) after our first evening. We stayed for two nights and unfortunately, subsequently, the experience of our stay deteriorated. So we are not quite the wake-up-early-on-vacation kind of bitches. We like to enjoy ourselves and sleep in. We have become quite intimate with the "PRIVACY PLEASE" signs at hotels. On this particular day, we had an appointment to do something at 1pm. We left our sign up until around noon. Maid knocked on the door and asked if we wanted our room cleaned at like 9-10ish. I told her we would still be in the room for a few hours but would like it cleaned today. I told her in an approachable and humorous way. We left around 12-12:15. We returned at around 4-4:30 with our towels still on the floor and our room completely untouched. On our departure to dinner, I made the very friendly concierge aware of the situation. She stated she would call and inquire about what happened, our room would be cleaned. We returned later that evening to our room, again, completely untouched. Please see previous review for my mention of the fact that our shower did not drain unless the drain was being held up. Obviously, I cannot shower and hold up the drain at the same time so an essentially bubble-bath amount of water had collected in the tub. This remained until the following morning, which after about 24 hours was DISGUSTING. Following morning I called the the front desk to have the water in the tub addressed to allow us to shower. This was around 8:30am. Concierge was not only rude, but informed me that maintenance would not be in until 9am. I also asked for some more towels because, given the fact that our room was not cleaned the day prior and therefore, we did not receive new towels and my towels from the day prior were sitting in a heap on the floor. I didn't feel like waiting to shower and because I did not want my fabulous girlfriend (or myself for that matter, let's be real) to have to shower standing in that filth, I literally took one for the team and stuck my hand, unprotected, to hold up the drain to allow the water to escape. BTW standing disgusting bath water over 24 hours becomes rather cold. So FYI, if you want to sleep in at all and also expect your room to be cleaned in a hotel, I probably wouldn't come here. read more

Great, clean and convenient. Looks recently renovated. Was asked to sign a "compliance form" for the non-smoking policy; but upon closer inspection it was for me to sign off on the increased nightly rates instead of my Hilton discount rate. Shame on you and nice try! Also note that it is tucked away on the road with absolutely no lighted sign indicating it's location. So be prepared to pass the entrance several times. read more

We booked this hotel based on location (not far from holy cross college) as well as hotel website pictures and amenities stating there is a pool/jacuzzi onsite. They have neither!! All Hampton Inns are closing their jacuzzis, they are linking up with an outside spa (additional fees there) according to front desk staff (notified of this upon check in when we saw a sorry our pool is closed). The pool at this specific site is closed until late Dec early January as it is being converted from fresh water to salt water. There are zero website notifications of this and hotel made no contact with us as well. False advertisement! We would have stayed elsewhere had we known this! read more

A nice hotel considering the hotels in downtown Worcester were with sold out or outrageously priced. This hotel was still quite reasonable. Not the easiest hotel to find. Check in was quick and one on the Hilton app. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical eggs, bacon, cereal, waffle station, fruit, pastries, etc. The fitness center had 2 treadmills and an elliptical. The one treadmill appeared to be broken, but I unplugged it and reset the machine. Ample parking and easy access to the highway. Not the best Hampton, but certainly not the worst. read more

Price is a bit much for what is offered. Should be an $80 stay. Pool was not available and seems consistent in reviews for over the last two years. It was clean but not spotless. No water near the rooms, just ice machine. Water fountain only on first floor. WiFi is an additional fee which wasn't obvious on the site. Free breakfast included but there's really no point in showing up at 6am for a malfunctioning waffle station . Elevator is a bit strange and usually smells like cigs. Bed was squeaky. Parking is good and location is nicely tucked away near some water, can just hear a bit of highway. Awesome pillows! read more

Stay AWAY, it's not against hampton inn as a company or Hilton I generally stay at one when out of town (which is about 12 weeks or so out of the year). Checked in early Monday morning feeling just fine a Everything normal all is well, woke up for work skin seemed itchy I assumed its because I live in Fla and now here in Massachusetts and winter maybe dry skin. Nope Tuesday morning these popped up...Ah yes great I'm 33 and for the first time in my life I get the pleasure of sleeping with bed bugs ah thank you Hampton Inn. Now of course they deny any form of anything being wrong and the company paid for the room so I cant leave and stay somewhere else without forking the money, so I demand a new room which I get later that evening and fingers crossed it was a one off. The only down thing about this hotel is that I found a young Spanish lady going thru my things and when I ask the housekeeper about her she said she wasn't one of them. Spent over a week here with a group from my company and had 11 rooms. The breakfast was fresh and kept full daily and was as good or better than most Hampton Inns I've stayed in. The housekeeping was excellent and they never missed anything including loading up the amenities daily such as shampoo and conditioner. Always had the towels loaded full every day too. The service at the counter was always helpful and available anytime I stopped there, including 4am. The only downside was that the pool was closed and the breakfast area did get crowded to the point that two of my 10 days I ended up bringing breakfast back to the room to eat. Overall, this is a nice location and I'd definitely stay here again. Enjoy! read more

This place was clean and the staff was very friendly at the front desk. Due to COVID breakfast was pre made and we were able to pick it up ourselves every morning which was fair enough. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out. The free breakfast and all day coffee is great. Wonderful staff at this location, most of them have been employed here for over 5-years. Must be a good company to work for. My wife and I come up from Florida every year, sometimes twice a year and we stay here always. We have done this for the five years. read more

We were in from out of town for the second funeral in three months. We got the word that a couple of the hotels near the Mall were sketchy. For $20 more you get a full breakfast and a quiet, clean room with a view. Staff is really nice and friendly. Well worth it. read more

I have experienced better Hampton Inns. Staff member blurted my room number out in the lobby while checking in. The room I was in was on first floor and you have only sheer curtains that can be closed so individuals are able to see you and you can see their headlights parking in front of your window as well as the safety spotlight on all night. Needless to say not a restful night. Bathroom had tiles that were coming off and caulking loose. Bed mattress has not been rotated so you roll to one side. Positive note the breakfast was great and the morning clerk helpful and exceptional service as well as the women who serviced the breakfast lobby area. read more

I usually never write a review, but this experience warrants one. I just want to say that I'm a person that always see the good in people and in situations but this one takes the cake. I started out by trying to make the reservations for 10/27-10/30 for a preacher that our church has coming from Puerto Rico and ended up having to call the third party that I was making the reservations through because they had the wrong location for the hotel. Then I called the Hampton Inn directly and explained what happened to see of they could help and referred me to Hilton Honors customer service. After almost 6 hours of talking with people on the phone they couldn't book the 3 nights for me because they made a mistake in the booking. When I was done with them I had asked for the AAA rate and didn't receive, instead what I was told to call the hotel and they would honor it. Then I call the hotel and they said that they couldn't help me. After calling back a few times they made the price adjustment and said that if a room became available someone would call me, but that I should keep checking online. Also I was told that I would get the price adjustment, and all of that was a lie. I called this morning and got nothing but horrible customer service, and no attempt to be accommodated. I was told that they had a room available, but that she wanted top dollar for it and that not even the general manager could do something about it. I've stayed in many hotels and this one is one that if it wasn't because it a church sponsored event and the preacher is coming from Puerto Rico with all that happened there with the Hurricane I would have spent my money else where. I hope that someone in the hotel chain reads this review and does something about the staff that work there. read more

A normal type hotel room. Clean, equipped with all the normal hotel type stuff. The best part of our stay was the front desk employee. He immediately suggested places to eat and proceeded to suggest a pizza place and allowed our very big group eat pizza in the meeting room. He also brought us paper plates, cups, napkins and water to drink. The hotel was extremely busy, but he was consistently cheerful and helpful despite the fact that he was the only employee dealing with an entirely booked hotel. read more

AVOID at all cost! If I could've written this review with 0 stars, I would most definitely have done so. This was absolutely the worst nightmare of my 40 years of travel experience! Came into town for our daughter's family weekend at her college, in Worcester, MA. Unfortunately, closer lodging to the university was booked far in advance so due to limited choice, we ended up in Auburn, 14 miles away at the Hampton Inn--of which we're Hilton members so we are not new to Hilton properties. Our flight arrived late, so we were unable to check in prior to midnight (I believe it was 12:15) however we'd called 8 hours in advance to let them know we'd be arriving late. The woman on the phone said it would be no problem at all, and that our room would be waiting which was of immediate comfort knowing we were traveling 5 1/2 hours across country and would be making an hour and half drive from Boston, late at night. Needless to say, we were exhausted. Upon arrival we waited TEN minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. I even called the hotel's local number while standing there waiting for someone to come running to answer the incessant ring of the phone but to no avail. Walked around to the hotel's "office" where patrons can utilize their printing services for boarding passes, etc and it was locked. Walked back to the front and magically, the night desk clerk appeared. As we were checking in, I handed him my husband's ATM, received the keys, and proceeded to the room. Albeit, a bit annoyed, but nonetheless, we were happy to get to the room. We weren't in the room 5 minutes before my husband started receiving notices on his phone from our bank that the card was charged THREE times for our two night stay--totaling over $1200.00! He promptly went back to the front desk, again, waited for the gentleman to appear and explained the situation. "You must've inadvertently swiped the card 3 times." He insisted he hadn't, so my husband called the bank only to be told he needed to call back in the morning to the claims department. Frustrated, we went to bed and the next morning, my husband noticed his card was accessed by the hotel just after 4:00am as well as just after 5:00am only to be given the notice that there was insufficient funds for the transaction. NO KIDDING! They'd taken ALL of our 2-day visit funds x 3 just for the check-in process. When approaching yet another front desk clerk during the following AM shift she insisted they'd only put a "hold" on for ONE of the charges. We explained that clearly, there was an error somewhere on their end because the card was fully charged for THREE different 2 day stays! The funds weren't "held" they were fully charged. Obviously frustrated by their insistence that the card charge was on the BANK'S end, my husband continued to show them written proof that the card was charged and not "held" as they repeatedly claimed. By now, he's agitated, but still not raising his voice, he requested to speak to the management and she informed him that the manager would not be arriving until later that morning. He expressed that there was an obvious error only to be met by the desk clerk's request to "please don't argue with me." Really, you expect us to just accept on your word, that an over $1200 charge doesn't exist on my ATM, which should've only been "held" for a little over $400???? Needless to say, this doesn't affect her or the hotel, however, it's wiped out just about ALL of the remaining funds we'd planned on using for our trip! After several minutes she finally agreed to call the manager and he now informed her that he wouldn't be arriving that day AT ALL and wouldn't return to work until Monday--a full day after our departure. My husband explained that if she wouldn't allow him to speak with the manager (he refused to take our phone number to call us himself) there would be an "issue." She immediately jumped to--"I'm going to call the police because you're threatening me." Mind you, no voice was raised, no gesture was made--she immediately went there. In frustration, he walked away, called the bank again and asked them to speak with her. She spoke to our banking agent who explained the charges that were made and she STILL insisted it had to be a banking error. My husband then asked her if she called the police. She said, "no" so he informed her that he would be calling them, because this is clearly victimization. After all, THEY HIJACKED OVER $1200 FROM US!!!! She said, "please don't call 911 sir, because all of our alarms will go off!" UGH, this is rich. So he called the police station, and an officer came to take his statement and speak with the desk agent. He agreed, that clearly they'd made an error, but because they weren't willing to acknowledge it, our only option was to write up a statement for his report and turn into the bank for dispute. My Family and I booked 4rms a month ahead and chose to pay later. When we arrived at the hotel the young man at the front desk told us he needed a credit card. Ok no problem but we would like to pay cash and he then told us we don't do that until you check out we run the amount on your card and then give it back after check out when you pay cash. Well unfortunately for us we didn't have 700 to pay on 4rms cause we brought cash. My brother was able to pay 3rms but it still left one of us out. I go excuse me do you have a manager we can speak to for help, thinking they might let us pay the cash in put a hold on our creditcard. But he wouldn't get anyone to help us and goes here take that card and call the manager I'm not. Well in the mean time were all upset he ran 3rms on my brothers credit card of 600 dollars and kicks me in my husband out so I go can u please cancel the rms which he did but now my brother was left with no money for 2-3days,very upsetting and a very rude young man believed his name was Kenny! Our family have all worked in hospitality and know that is not how you treat customers!My husband is a supervisor for a Omni Hotel and just couldn't believe how things went! We were lucky to have found another hotel with 4rms and had no probs at the Quality Inn and cheaper plus it was nice! 08/30/12 l am very disappointed with the hotel services and cleanliness of the Hampton Inn in Auburn, MA My son and his fiance were married, last Saturday evening, July 25th, at a local country club in the area. Rooms were set aside for their guests and seven rooms were reserved, in advance, for this celebration. Unfortunately, two guests that we know of were 'comped' (did not have to pay) for their rooms the next day as their hotel room, hotel services, and room cleanliness were below standard quality. (Being the parents of the groom, our guests did not mention this to us until Monday, August 27th, so as not to upset us) The hotel is currently being renovated and our guests were sent to a 'temporary breakfast area' the following morning . Several guests mentioned that the 'makeshift breakfast area' was dirty and very small. I tried to contact the manager of the hotel on Sunday as several of my seven guests did not receive the proper gift bags the evening of their check in- which included directions to the country club. Obviously, with the wrong gift bag/directions, some of my guests did not arrive in a timely fashion to the ceremony. Upon speaking to the front desk, I was 'tag teamed' by the two managers...Lisa and Linese. I asked for some type of 'something' in regards to the situation at hand. Neither of them would/could make a decision and I was questioned and debated, back and forth, by the two of them. "Lisa is on the phone now and will get back to you as soon as she is able." "I was the one that took your gift bags, but I did not distribute them." In any case, I picked up TWO UNDELIVERED BAGS today-- not even a 'we are so sorry for the situation/our negligence' comment at all. FOR A SERVICE BUSINESS, I cannot believe the unprofessional manner of these two managers. I am planning to contact The Hampton Inn senior management to make them aware of this unprofessional team. I have NEVER had an issue like this in any hotel I've ever stayed in - in this country AND abroad. I am sadly disappointed in the staff and hotel services of The Hampton Inn in Auburn, MA. Perhaps someone could contact these managers. I am not sure they are suited for this service industry or this career path. I do hope to hear from The Hampton Inn family at their earliest convenience.
