Great stay- easily hit all the marks on service, cleanliness, amenities, breakfast, price, gym, online check in. The parking lot can get very tight so be prepared. You can get a lot of commute traffic noise on the Dell Way side so you can ask for the highway side if you want more quiet. If you've visited more than a couple Hampton Inn's like me you'll know that in general they are all structured very similarly. This one feels familiar and that's a comfort to me. The good about this specific location: friendly staff at both the front desk and breakfast area. A well equipped gym with free weights, a couple of elliptical and treadmill. With a reasonable amount of space. That said I was using it with only one other person...not sure what it would feel like with 5more people in other words, if there was a person on all he machines. If it were me I'd just wait till the rush is over...still I've used worse gyms at a Hilton property. They have an outdoor pool and I can imagine using it during the famously hot Texas summers. My room was clean and well equipped with lots of outlets for my devices. In other words normal from my experience with other Hampton Inns The bad: not enough diamond member parking spaces. Lastly, yy room was on the 4th floor facing Mays St/Dell Way and I could still hear the construction and particularly the road noise from the cars passing by. I don't normally notice exterior noise at other Hampton Inn locations...if you're sensitive to noise consider getting a room away from Mays st. at this property. read more

What an experience so far. This is only day one so I will tell you my experience so far. We checked in at 2:00 to ensure we paid for the rooms for our party. We'll our check was not approved because it was not preauthorized and sent days before. As a school employee this expense was a burden put on the team. Understanding the procedure I paid out of pocket. We were then told that we couldn't check in until 3:00, so we had to come back. We came back to the hotel at 5:00 and stood in line again. Then I was asked to pay again, which I argued. The gentleman pulled up my account and saw my balance had been payed. I was given my key to head up to my room. I headed to my room and the key didn't work. I had to head down to the lobby to request another key. I came up to my room and finally was able to enter my room. I was in town for a huge educational conference and surprised the hotel provides a one star experience. I hope the next few days turn around for me. read more

Came to round rock texas for training and stayed 2 nights at this Hampton Inn. Check-in was easy at the front desk ( I wasn't going to download the app for a 2 day stay). The king-size room was a good size with a couch and desk, and i think a pull-up table or work table. The fridge was warm because it was frosted over, i informed the front desk because i had milk that needed to obviously be cold, she offered me another room but i just asked for a large trash bag to put ice in to keep my drinks cold and sat it in the shower. The next morning, the fridge thawed itself out and was cool for drinks, maybe not dairy style drinks, but bottle tea, soda, and canned coffee it was cool enough for. The bed was decent, but for me who likes a firmer pillow. These pillows were way too soft and had little support. The complementary breakfast was good both mornings. Friendly staff. Would i stay here again? Yes, i would. i just need to brink my own pillow. read more

Hampton property off a back side road in Round rock close to I-35... this is an older Hampton that appears to be renovated, to me this is just an average Hampton where some things could be improved. See the pictures of the tub where in both rooms we had there was rust and chips around the drains of the tub-- this seems like something that could box fixed relatively easily, I.E. with a can of rustoleum. When you see the rust stains at first you are horrified thinking it was something else LOL! Other thing that stood out to me at this property was the disfunction at breakfast- both mornings we went down and the milk was out of the decanter. The meat was also out for a while-- we went about 9:30 so I feel the breakfast attendant was not the most attentive and was going out of her way to not refill the empty food. One morning guests got upset and the front desk clerk, had to come refill the milk-- something definitely going on with breakfast attendant. The rooms also had a musty smell, it wasn't strong but just enough to get the nose running. Next time in Austin we will probably stay at a different Hilton property. read more

Customer service was exceptional. At checkin, the lady was very nice and nowadays you just don't get that. What was most impressive was at breakfast. Apparently a little boy, probably around 5 years old seemed to be by himself. The lady working the breakfast area was something special. She noticed him needing help and assisted him, then asked if he would like toppings on his waffle. Then she said she would carry it for him. Hotel was quiet and clean. Beds were comfy....could have used a better pillow though. read more

The place isn't bad. Friendly and helpful people running the place. A bit overpriced for the maintenance issues. I have a heavily dripping tub and sink faucet. My main concern comes down to one thing specifically. They use bleach. I was exposed 25+/- years ago to hydrazine and chlorine gas, which makes me extremely susceptible to bleach. It will make me sick as a dog form a couple of weeks, minimum if I breathe the fumes for more than a few seconds. I informed someone at the front desk of this yesterday, but 10 minutes before I needed to go get my laundry out of the dryer, I go near the main landing and the smell immediately hit me. I am currently sitting in my room after coughing my guts up, typing this for that reason, waiting for the fumes to dissipate. If anyone with a sensitivity/allergy to bleach is considering staying here, keep this in mind. Hopefully someone able to change their cleaning methods reads this, does some research and switches up their cleaning methods. Hydrogen Peroxide can accomplish the same things bleach can, without noxious fumes. read more

Arrive at this hotel and there were only 2 cars and several commercial dumpsters. This place is under massive construction/remodeling. First floor was basically gutted. Convenient location as it's just off 35. The staff was very nice.However there's a lot of construction in the back right, now so it's a little bit noisy. And I have to say that the way they pile up the dirty linens in the hallways on the floor outside of each room it was a little bit creepy. Breakfast was ok, as one would expect. read more

Our home away from home in Round Rock/Austin. Great location practically on the Dell campus, but at the intersection of I-35, the Toll 45 and Business I-35 make for easy access to anywhere in the area. One can walk to several eateries or short drive to major shopping and restaurants. The service is super-friendly and accommodating. Rooms are well-appointed and modern. There is hot breakfast in the lobby included in the price. If you have to eat and run, they have bag-breakfast for you. There is a PC and printer in the lobby for guest use (great for printing airline boarding passes). Just beware that on weekends, a lot of families stay here, so the public areas are apt to be overrun with unsupervised kids. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Round Rock - price, location, cleanliness and service make this my choice. read more

We spent three days here because it is close to Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express (AAA affiliate of the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Team). The hotel was everything we have come to expect from a Hampton Inn: friendly helpful staff; well maintained property; clean rooms; and a nice breakfast all at a reasonable price. The only possible negative is the lack of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. (yes, there is Joe's Crab Shack next door but, I my book, that does not qualify as a good restaurant.) However, just under four miles north on I-35 is: Rudy's, Chuy's, and Cracker Barrel. read more

Staff was awesome and very informative on things to do around the area with kids. Swimming area was clean and pool well maintained.

We found a roach in the bathroom during our stay (that was still alive). There was no cleaning service for our rooms. We had to go collect our towels ourselves. We were there for 7 days and they said the room can only be cleaned when we checked out. No one was picking up the trash we had to do it ourselves and tell the desk that no one was emptying the trash cans in the hallways that were over flowing. had to have light bulbs replaced on arrival and 2 more after that and asked to have the flapper valve fixed in the toilet. If you are going to rent rooms at this time ask to see Vaccine cards before you decline to clean the rooms. That adds up to very poor customer service. The carpets were so dirty we had to wash our feet before getting in bed. read more

This business hotel far exceeded my expectations during my stay and I would be happy to return in the future. -- Check in: I arrived at about 1PM and the receptionist went out of her way to find me a room that I could get settled in, even though it was not check in time yet and the hotel was fully booked. -- I was recognized as a Hilton diamond member and offered snacks and bottled water at check in. Since the hotel offers complimentary breakfast and seems to have no differentiation among rooms, this was all that I expected. -- The standard room was spacious, clean, and has a large granite bathroom vanity. The shower is enclosed in glass (no curtains), which is nice. -- There is a pool outside by the parking lot. I didn't use it, but it was a nice amenity. -- I used the fitness room every morning during my stay. It had a few treadmills, a multi-purpose cable weight machine, a medicine ball, water dispenser and towels. Because the room had a large mirror and window in it, it didn't feel claustrophobic. -- The kitchen was stocked with complimentary fresh fruit (apples, oranges, bananas) all throughout the day. I didn't expect how much I would appreciate this simple offering. One night after a long extended work day, I had no time for dinner so just grabbed a bunch of fruit instead. The bananas were also great to grab as a midday snack. -- The kitchen was also stocked with coffee and tea all throughout the day. This was another great offering. -- There is a public restroom downstairs near the lobby. This came in useful for a quick run, between breakfast and taking off for work with my coworkers in the morning. -- There is Wifi throughout the hotel. -- The hot breakfast had more food and drink options than usual, which also varied a bit from day to day, which was great. -- The GM was extremely welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. She also hosted a complimentary wine and beer night on the Wednesday evening of my visit, which turned out to be a nice thing that my coworkers and I enjoyed together. -- Within walking distance of the hotel (5 minutes) is a huge strip mall with several restaurants. During my stay I walked to Mesquite BBQ and also a Vietnamese restaurant which turned out to be surprisingly decent. My suggestions for improvement: - The window in my room was small, and I would've really appreciated more natural light. - The darkness of the room was accentuated by the darker color theme of the interior carpeting, walls, and counter tops. I guess the stereotypical millennial in me would've appreciated lighter/brighter colors, and more glass/windows for a more modern look. The hotel at least was well kept, which helped. If either of these last 2 points could be addressed, I'd have pretty much no complaints. read more

My experience was so bad, I couldn't wait to get back before I wrote this. I'm still here. And I rarely write scathing reviews, but this had to be said. My husband and I ended up staying here, but not by choice. His company booked him and some of his coworkers for SXSW late, and this was the best they could get. At first things were fine, pretty nice, decent continental breakfast, cushy beds, wi-fi, but upon return for our second night we found ants on the kitchenette counter. Yep, teeny, tiny little ants. We promptly told the desk, and they were able to change our room. However, on our third night I was coming out of the shower and sat upon the bed to catch up on my e-mail and turned to notice what I believe was a cockroach near the closet. I say "believe" because I've never actually see a cockroach in person. But it was a large brown bug about two inches long. I screamed bloody murder, and ran out of the room but not before quickly throwing a sweatshirt over my body. My husband wasn't in the room at the time, he was getting some stuff from a coworker, and I told him what happened. We returned to the room to find no sign of the bug, however did locate an area of the little carpet bit that goes up the wall three inches or so that was pulled away from the wall inside the closet, where he could have gone. A little update: I spoke with a person who claims I may have seen a junebug. However, a bug is a bug. My husband told the front desk, and then he returned to the room saying that the clerk would come into the room to look for it. She took some time getting to us, and the little guy didn't show back up, and she apologized, said there were no other rooms available (which I guess I could believe, it was SXSW, and there was also some sort of high school tournament going on as well as the Texas Rodeo) however informed us that she refunded us for the night. Yeah, just one night. And we're stuck in this dive for four more nights. read more

Just spent one night here while passing through the Austin area. I usually prefer the Hilton Garden Inn to Hampton Inn as it is generally more business oriented and has fewer children. This hotel was very quiet during our stay however and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The food was your standard Hampton Inn, La Quinta type grub but it was warm and the dinning hall was quiet and comfortable. The room was very nice - very comfortable bed, walk in shower, and quiet room. Highly recommended on any trip through this area. read more

I stayed here a few nights earlier this week and will be spending a few more here later this month. Sometimes Hampton Inns can be a little and miss but this location is a hit. Very convenient access to I-35. Nice, clean lobby. Very friendly service. As far as free hotel breakfasts go this one is the best I've had. Free wi-fi that was fast enough to stream Netflix movies to my iPad. The room was nice, nothing fancy. We came in late after a football game and forgot to pick up milk for our toddler (actually he was asleep)...anyway, he woke up and wanted milk. Had a short stay, but this is a cozy hotel with great service. And our puppy felt right at home staying here too, as it is dog-friendly. Love that they serve a hearty continental breakfast with, eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits...as well as a cereal bar, hot oatmeal, waffles and bagels. The coffee and creamers were good too. The hotel itself is clean and homey with basic amenities, but we had everything we needed. The water in our room had great water pressure and hot hot water, which was nice. There are also snacks and frozen meals available for purchase in then lobby as well, but there is also a Joe's Crab Shack, Macaroni Grill or Green Masquite BBQ within walking distance too. Stayed here Friday and Saturday while attending a Powerlifting Meet nearby. Not only am I always impressed with there complementary breakfast every morning, but the service and breakfast is perfect in every state I've visit. They are carbon copies everywhere. EXCELLENT STAY!!!!! Side Note: I left my Mini IPad in the hotel room nightstand. They sent it back to me with no issues. They simple billed me for shipping it back on the card on file. THE HONESTY IS APPRECIATED! They could have easily said, "oops, nothing here" and kept it. But they didn't and that says something for their employees. read more

Clean, friendly and overall comfortable. My wife and I stayed 5 nights and were extremely happy with the hotel. Every morning there was a continental breakfast with a great spread of food -- eggs, Belgium waffle, oatmeal, cereals, yogurts, bagels, muffins, fruit, juices, tea and coffee. We arrived via taxi from the airport, only to be told that they were overbooked and we'd have to leave the hotel to take another taxi to go to another hotel for the night. The hotel graciously booked our room but only gave us $10 for taxis - I would estimate that we spent about $25 getting back and forth. When we arrived back at this location, they set us up in a room that smelled like someone had been smoking in it for years. I called customer service, who acted shocked. It's obvious that this room reeked of stale smoke, and wasn't the product of someone lighting up the night prior. They offered another room, but of course it was a downgrade from the room we actually booked. Budget service all around - in fact beneath budget. Only redeeming factor was the free breakfast buffet in the AM. read more

I over heard the managers talking about one of the front desk ladies. Seems extremely unprofessional, they were laughing at her and bad mouthing her name. I cannot exactly remember the name of the front desk lady, but If they have anything to say about her they should say it to her and not go behind her back. He help us get a room at a Hampton closer to where we needed to be in less then an hour we were all set and relocated.
