We had a good one-night stay here in a king room with a sofa bed, microwave, and small fridge. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large with a nice walk-in shower. We also found a chocolate crab treat on our nightstand wishing us a pleasant stay. The room was modestly furnished with little space to unpack your clothes. Hampton Inns offer a good breakfast of eggs, bacon or sausage, breads, scones, cereal, juice, tea and coffee. They also have coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby all the time. Staff were friendly and efficient. If you don't carry cash to tip your housekeeper, they offer online tipping and post a sign with the link on your mirror. We had no trouble parking, and parking is free. read more

Came to this hotel once before and was pleased with my stay but this second stay will be my last stay here. This hotel is convenient to where I need be and the staff is friendly; however, the rooms aren't the cleanest. The walls are peeling and have stains on them, I seen a red stain on the bathroom wall that appeared to either be ketchup or blood and the tub appeared to be stained. I stayed here for three weeks while I was in town for work. The outside, main lobby, and breakfast area are really nice and well maintained. The rooms, however, are showing their age and need upkeep. They only clean the rooms every other day, which is fine, but two of the weeks I stayed there, my room was not touched at all (the last week, I even let the front desk know on Thursday morning that my room hadn't been cleaned the day before and was extremely disappointed to see that it still wasn't cleaned when I returned Thursday night). When I checked out that Friday, I mentioned it to the same woman who helped me the day before, and she said she'd have to check with her manager about what she could do for compensation and I never heard anything back. Besides that, I am allergic to down pillows and the only foam pillows that were available were smaller cushions from either a chair or sofa. Seriously. Given the limited hotel options in the area, this one would be the best to stay at to avoid the traffic from the Inner Harbor area. read more

I stayed here because it got good reviews. The front desk clerk who checked me in was nice. The rooms are on the smaller side. There was a dog across the hall from me that barked constantly and woke me up from sleep. The hotel is very noisy. My shower was stocked only with body lotion. I called the front desk half wet and showered to get shampoo but no one answered the phone. I walked down there soggy wet and the desk attendant was playing on his cell phone. He did get me shampoo but did not apologize for the inconvenience of having to go downstairs mid shower to fetch shampoo. Could not get the printer to work in the business center. Parking was free. Loved our stay here. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Conveniently located right off the highway, this is a cozy and quiet hotel where you can feel fully rested. All the furnishings around the premises and in the rooms looked brand new and spotless, so we really appreciated that. The rooms are spacious. The bathrooms are brand new--everything is sparkling white (and clean). You can lounge in the specially allocated lounge area, that has TVs and tea/coffee 24/7. In the mornings, 6am-10am, you can enjoy complementary breakfast. Breakfast items include: hot oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, breakfast pastry, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, home-made breakfast potatoes, and waffles. A waffle maker is available, so you can make your own fresh waffles and top them off with blueberries, chocolate chips, and syrups. If you forgot your personal care items like a toothbrush or a comb, you can complementary items by the front desk. Very convenient! Pool works 9am-10pm daily. The pool is tiny and very warm. Mornings and afternoons, it's filled with kids, so it's super loud and crowded. Come here in the evening, right before closing time, to enjoy the quiet. We have stayed at many different Hampton Inn's and we would not recommend staying at this one. First night there I was laying in the bed, got up and noticed something crawling on the pillow. Sure enough, it was a bed bug. Front desk apologized and moved us to a different room. He also stated we would be compensated with reward points due to this. I used to work in property management so I know that bed bugs can spread like wildfire and they are absolutely not something to mess around with! Front desk asked the manager for us about washing/drying our clothes. She told us that the manager said we would be reimbursed "through their insurance". I figured it was a lie as I've never heard such a thing. Never were we contacted by the actual manager regarding the situation and never were we refunded either. Pretty crazy considering that was the least that could be done to ensure we don't 1. Spread anything into the new hotel room we were put in and 2. Bring them home with us. We paid over $30 in just laundry to make sure our items were clean after that. We ended up throwing away our suitcase, 2 blankets and our 2 expensive dog beds for our dogs to be on the safe side since our items were in that bed bug room for hours. I'm pretty sure most other hotels would've atleast refunded us for the laundry we had to do. Oh and as for us getting compensated for bed bugs in our room... we were given 8,000 points. Is it better than nothing? Sure. But that's a pretty laughable amount to give for such an issue especially considering us spending our own money to wash everything and throwing out expensive items... not to mention how paranoid we were the entire time we stayed the rest of the time. It was also around 2-3am when this happened and we didn't get to bed until 5am. I literally could not sleep most nights because of being so paranoid and scared that the new room had bed bugs too or that our stuff now had them. The rooms are also not cleaned thoroughly. In both rooms we were in behind the beds there was tons of trash, dirt and food. We were here to get our dog's cancer treated at Johns Hopkins and this added to our already emotional and stressful situation. Honestly, do yourself a favor and listen to the negative reviews. Don't stay here - unless you're OK with being charged for stuff you did not do. This hotel is a SCAM property. The hotel charged us a $350 damage fee after we let the hotel know (as we were checking out) that we had to use the lobby bathroom because our toilet wasn't working for 2 days - they gave us a plunger and our room door wasn't closing properly and the air conditioner was extremely loud. When we called hilton honors customer service to dispute the damage fee, the told us that the hotel was supposed to contact us and provide proof. They contacted the hotel and the hotel said that they would contact me. The hotel never contacted me and won't answer my call. Literally when I call the hotel, they won't pickup. The next day after contacting hilton honors for help, the hotel charged me another $250. I stayed at dozens of hilton properties and I've never experienced anything like this. PLEASE STAY AWAY FOR THIS CRIMINAL HOTEL. THIS IS THE WORST HAMPTON INN IN AMERICA. IT'S A SCAM HOTEL. read more

The hotel met all my expectations. It was at a convenient location to be able to reach all the places I wanted to visit. The hot breakfast was excellent, on both days we were there they had eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, toast and muffins. Everything was super clean and the breakfast staff was excellent. The kids enjoyed going to the pool after a long day of visiting various locations in Baltimore. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable; the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. The one thing which I was extremely pleased with was the ability to plug in my EV (Electric Vehicle)into free charging--What a plus! No major issues with my accommodations. I stayed hear a year ago and since I was back in the area and the location was convenient I came back. My only complaint is the smell of smoke in my room. I believe this issue was a result of me being on the first floor down the hall from a side entrance probably used as a smoking area. We were in Baltimore for a long weekend, and decided to stay here based on price, room size, and proximity to the Inner Harbor and other neighborhoods. Free parking and free breakfast was also a factor, but the free breakfast wasn't exactly worth the price (free). So the room was really nice. Beds were comfy, plenty of pillows, bathroom was nice, shower was great and it was mostly wonderful. The four stars are just for the room. Just a couple of small issues. First - the room was clean - except for the the TV. It seems the base of the TV hadn't been dusted in a while. I was able to write in the dust, and will attach a pic or video. The bathroom sink - the faucet was not made to be at an angle since the length of the faucet was too short to allow you to comfortably wash your hands without hitting the sink. (They did the angle to allow more room for the sink, but they should have replaced the faucet.) They would have received 1 star for breakfast. Since we kind of knew that a full breakfast meant everything was going to be frozen and re-heated, we didn't expect much. However, the re-heating didn't work very well since the steam trays didn't have hot water in them or burners under them to keep things warm. Everything was pretty much ice cold if you didn't happen to get something that just came out of the "kitchen". Also - the first two mornings, with the hotel completely booked - was a disaster. They couldn't keep up with anything. Coffee ran out, forks ran out, eggs ran out, syrup ran out - and asking for anything was a waste since the one poor woman doing everything was simply unable to keep up. She appeared to have a helper, who I noticed spent time making his OWN coffee in the back, before trying to help replenish things for the guests. Thankfully, there is a wonderful diner just around the corner - and breakfast on our last morning was an extra expense, but absolutely worth it. If it is in your budget, skip the crappy hotel breakfast and treat yourself to something wonderful. We'd absolutely stay here again, but we will take into consideration that there is really NO edible breakfast, and plan on the added expense of the diner. read more

Stayed here in October while in town for a convention. Overall this looked like a newer Hampton Inn, and as a Hilton Rewards member, passed my eye test as Vog and I needed lodging for the weekend. The staff was VERY friendly, the ladies talked with us about old video games and let us know about the breakfast in the morning and the nearby food spots that we were close to. Very friendly middle-aged women, and right in my wheelhouse to mix it up with. I mean RIGHT IN THERE. The place was very clean, the rooms were crispy, well-maintained and all the amenities were modern, clean, and just very hospitable. The morning breakfasts were very. Good as well. And this is the perfect place to stay just close enough but far enough away from the city to drive into and out of on a trip or while in town so you don't get popped for valet parking or parking fees. read more

A bit disappointing compared to many of the other Hampton Inns I've stayed at. It still meets my standards of cleanliness but the bathroom is a real pain. First, the shower curtain barely contains all of the water coming out. There's even a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor which means they've anticipated that showering will leave the entire bathroom drenched. Second, there's only one temperature for the water: scalding hot. I had to turn the water pressure way down not to burn myself. Oh, and the electric car chargers are a scam: I literally paid the equivalent of $1 for like 2-3 miles on my Tesla which is several times what you'll pay at the already overpriced superchargers, not to mention they'll also charge idle fees which means you won't be able to charge overnight. Other than that, it's still alright - the breakfast was top notch just like at most Hampton Inn locations and they charged me $75 extra for my 2 cats (I was moving cross country and needed a place that'll allow them.) read more

It took about 20 minutes to check in. That was not the fault of the Hampton Inn as a couple of guests were angry that they were being charged extra for smoking in their room. The person behind the counter was having a tough time with them. She needs de-escalating technique training, but she tried hard. I would suggest banning those guests from coming back to a Hampton Inn. Our bathroom floor was sticky likely because the cleaning solution was not properly rinsed off. We ended up putting on our shoes as we used the bathroom. Hampton Inn sent me an email asking me how my stay was. We were on a fairly long trip. This is probably one of the newest Hampton chain hotels that I have ever stayed in. We stayed here for just one night as we were on our way to Great Smoky Mountain, but this was a hotel that we would love to come back in the future. The room was clean and nicely prepared. The bathroom was surprisingly clean and the countertop seemed relatively new as there was no dirt under the sink. The washer glass was super clear. The carpet was not sticky at all and I was okay for my kids to walk over it without their slippers (normally I would not allow my kids to walk in a hotel room without shoes). Overall it was a great stay, but the complimentary breakfast was disappointing. The food choices were very limited and it did not offer any ham or sausage. When I travel I usually stay at Hilton hotels. This hotel was nice, not in a bad area. Although if you're looking to access the Inner Harbor area, be ready to pay $4 tolls each way on the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Your other option is to take the streets there, maybe it's a 5 minutes difference. I love that Hampton's offer complimentary breakfast but it usually sucks. However, this hotel had decent breakfast. They had chocolate, banana, and regular batter for the waffles. They had good toppings for the waffles. Their oatmeal was good and it offered brown sugar, raisins, walnuts, blueberries and cranberries. I would give it an extra star except the beds were super stiff. They hurt my back. Oh and housekeeping never cleaned my room. I had to go ask for towels. read more

The restrooms should The gender neutral I had an incident where there are many children playing in the men's Single bathroom and I had a very bad IBD incident and needed restroom emergently i proceeded to knock and yell to the woman single room because there's nobody in there i went in and used, Upon exiting restroom I was rudely accosted by the manager on duty and head of maintenance on why I using women's bathroom, I told her the above and if i did not make it there would have been an embarrassing very large mass in the lobby. Furthermore saying that the women won't want to use that restroom there were no patrons when i entered and exited bathroom! This could have been avoided if the children that were in the men's restroom were adult supervised. There was 1 in and 3 waiting. The before I want to use the computers and the same group of kids were using the computers but not for real business issues and i could not use them. I apologized immensely but she proceeded to have this loud conversation in the middle of the lobby of the main area in front of other patrons. She also went to the restroom to verify that I spoke truth what the hell she think i was doing? She already took an immensely embarrassing medical condition and made it even worse i already feel bad for having issue that I need to take care of. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond for our anniversary!!! I called the day before to find out if they are able to do anything special to our room for our anniversary. To my surprise, Trudy (Guest Services Associate) told me she was able to do something nice to the room. I was elated! She then called back and asked me what wine kind of wine do I prefer! She rolled out the red carpet for us. The room was amazing! Beautifully decorated with simplicity that included an anniversary card, bottle of wine, rose petals and two decorated wine glasses. We were blown away! Thank you Trudy (and the housekeeping staff that helped) and thank you to the supervisor that went and got the wine. Stayed 1 night because I needed to take my mom to John's Hopkins. They offer free shuttle service if you need it to any of the Hopkins campuses. Staff was friendly. Fairly new hotel. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. Will def be staying again. Breakfast was good too. read more

Hotel itself was fine. I was there the night before a cruise. Booked with Trinity Reservations for the 2nd time because it includes parking while we are on cruise and shuttle to and from cruise port. As with the first time I stayed there I was told we could call as soon as we got off ship to be picked up. 1st time went fine 2 years ago. This time despite being told by 3 different people that we could do that again when I called once off ship I was told to call an Uber to get back to hotel to get my car. They do advertise a 1030 pickup time but was told both times to just call and they would pick up no matter what time. We got off ship by 8 am and called. Lady answering phone said she would give number to shuttle guy so he would know right where we were. After waiting in the freezing cold for half hour or so(hotel is 10 min tops from port) she called back and said get an Uber back. We were the only guests to be picked up. So I had to spend $30 on a taxi to get back! Then as I was on way home she called again and asked if we were still at port..apparently the shuttle guy had come in and was ready to come get us! Safe location for this single female traveler. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was pleasant, quick check in and check out. They do have a pool and exercise room that I was unfortunately unable to use due to my work schedule. The morning breakfast was delicious and fresh. Make ur own waffles, eggs, bacon, breakfast meat patty, potatoes, cereal, boiled eggs and oatmeal etc. Everything there was definitely all 5 stars to me. Not too close to the city but with in reach. This place was awesome. The hotel has gone to extraordinary lengths to protect their guests. Their sanitation procedures here are the best I have ever seen. Each room has been obviously sanitized, stripped of the usually cover trappings of magazines, TV guides, hotel information, all environments for COVID. Rather those things have been replaced by sanitation wipes, immaculately clean room and bedding. The buffet breakfast has been replaced by well thought out packaged healthy choices of boxes of cereal, yogurt, breakfast bars, muffins, all wrapped for your protection. Coffee/tea is available around the clock. Rooms are cleaned only when checking our unless there for 3 days. It's proximity (5 mins away) was why we chose this hotel. We will definitely stay here again. Staff was most friendly, professional, all wore masks and maintained a social distance throughout our stay. The management is to be commended for its role in helping to stop the spread of Covid.
