I'm very disappointed. I booked my three night stay through AAA. They had a better $ than the hotel website. Unfortunately, I was told my stay did not count towards my reward points, because I booked with a 3rd party. That being said. .the bathroom is so small, one person can barely move. If you can manage to shut the door, and sit on the toilet, your knees practically hit the door. Carpeting in the hallway area is very dirty and not vacuumed. Beds were comfortable. Parking is very limited. I have a handicapped plate and there are only 3 HP spaces. I never got one. Had to park far away in a restaurant parking lot. Road noise is very noticeable. The AC/ heat sounded like a jet engine. Enough said. Probably better hotels in the area so I would look elsewhere. read more

Our recent stay here for a wedding was better than anticipated. The lobby area was definitely renovated recently and the check in and check out process were quick. It's connected to a Chilis which was awesome. The hallways and rooms may need a bit more TLC. They were generally clean but definitely could be cleaner (crumbs, water leaking from fridge). Pillows comfy but beds super soft. The TVs had a ton of channels and the products in the bathroom were nice. You can hear a lot of noise from the road so bring ear plugs. read more

I booked an overnight at the Holiday Inn because I was tired and didn't feel like driving two hours to my next destination. Upon entry the hotel lobby is well lit, clean and spacious. The front desk clerk was efficient but lacked personality. At any rate check in process was smooth, I retrieved my keys and went to my room. The room (and hotel) could use some upgrading but overall it was clean. The room was spacious, fully stocked and all appliances worked. However, the door kept making a sound like someone was trying to get in the room but no one was a the door. That reason alone is why I wouldn't stay here again. But other than that it's your average hotel. read more

We spent the night there for the Army/Navy game and I highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely Clean, no issues with that at all. The staff were exceptionally friendly, from front desk, to the Dining crew, especially Chef Kel I think his name was. It was the BEST breaksfast experience I have ever had at a hotel. He was always friendly to ALL of the patrons who were eating, asking if we needed anything else, announcing when food was coming out and took care of all of us in the dining room. I would go back here again only because of how wonderful the staff really was there. The lady who checked us in, amazing, (loved her nails) and her son made a great dining recommendation also. There's no need to stay anywhere else if you're visiting Baltimore. This place is in the right location, cheaper than staying in Baltimore (way cheaper), and totally worth it. I recommend this hotel. It seemed clean with a lot of staff on top of their jobs. Rooms were nice. There is a Chilis restaurant attached to the hotel which was nice and convenient. A few conference rooms for meetings. Washer and dryers for a small fee. read more

5am in the morning and unable to sleep... After a long day and drive, I checked in around 10pm on 10/20/21 and was given room 211. Turned out room was not made (see first 3 photos)... Went downstairs to ask for a clean/made room and front desk sent 1 of the staff to check and make sure next available room is acceptable... After about 15 minutes or so, as I was standing next to the front desk, phone rang and front desk handed me room 323 key. I asked to speak to the manager and was told manager won't be in until Monday... When I walked into 323, hoping it is clean room with crisp new bedsheets, I walked into wrinkled bedsheets both both beds.As I inspect both beds, I tiny bit of black dot. As curious as I am, I pulled the blanket to find strain of hair... Btw, wifi also doesn't work Paid total of $125 including all fees and $60 hold on my cc for next 3-5 business days... read more

Room was not comfortable because it's just not a clean hotel. Moldy ceiling in the bathroom, hairs embedded in the towels and on the floor and weird random stains on wall. They have a long table as soon as you enter hotel and checking out, I saw a long hair right in the middle. Cleaning staff was still onsite so this was inexcusable. Breakfast is $5 a person but after feeling grossed out by the room, I wasn't even contemplating eating there. No personality in regard to staff at check-in or check-out. Definitely disappointed in this experience and I'll look elsewhere (pretty much anywhere else) next time I'm in Baltimore. read more

I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed my stay for the most part. Shampoo was missing from my hotel, but staff accommodated me upon request. The hotel was clean and orderly. The walls were not too thin, and my room was quiet most of the time. The kitchenette came with pots and pans, and a full size refrigerator. There was also a sink next to the small burner. The room felt spacious and comfortable. There are large pillows in soft and firm varieties. The air/heating unit was not too loud and did its job quickly. The $5 breakfast buffet was okay. I usually go for their scrambled eggs, potatoes, and yogurt. The staff here was responsive and nice, hardworking people. I like that there is a computer business station with complimentary printer access. Chili's is connected to the hotel, which is super convenient since there really is not another option in close proximity. A few areas for improvement: hair dryer was not working and the remote control backing was loose. I also did not like the fact that water was not readily available. I had to either wait until breakfast or buy a water bottle. read more

This is a comfortable hotel to stay at, while doing business in this town. They have good working computers and printers in the lobby for the guests to use, affordable breakfast buffet ($5 each) and a relaxing pool. Our room was comfortable and clean and quiet. They provide a slightly bigger size refrigerator compared to most hotels. Stock up! I got enough space for the leftover crabs yahoo! The hotel staff were very good, helpful and polite. We had no problems during our stay. The pool has a lifeguard. We were hoping to use the pool at AM but was told it opens at noon, so we used it in the afternoon. The breakfast was ok, not bad for $5. At least I got my yogurt and it's Chobani! Excuse me! We had no problems here. Everything's very good! read more

Good bed and thats about it! Lots of noise on my floor from doors opening and closing, staff forgot to say how to access internet, and morning breakfast was lack luster at best. I just began my stay here and already felt the need to give a review. I called in the morning asking for early check in and the woman told me they are very booked so it was unlikely. After hanging up I received a call a few minutes later and it was the receptionist saying she asked her manager and they can accommodate me at any time. I've stayed at dozens of IHG properties and I know my HI's. * Easy parking. * Solid staff with great customer service. * Spotless rooms. * Decent free WiFi. * Water temperature, room thermostat and other assorted stuff like that all great. * You'll find a refrigerator in your room and it's easy to stock it with beer and wine from a very close store. * Instead of the usual HI restaurant/bar there is a Chili's attached. They take care of lunch and dinner and offering a bar. As Chili's does not open for breakfast, the HI has a tiny breakfast cafe offering a full buffet every morning. * Speaking of food and adult libations, use your Yelp App and you'll find dozens of places within a five minute drive or less. * There is a very nice outdoor pool here. If you are in need of a room in the area, this is a solid choice. read more

As an IHG member, I was a bit under-impressed with certain features of this stay but the staff members were a joy to speak with so they saved the rating. Parking is a bit awkward, there are a few parks around the front and side but most are in the back. There is a Chili's To Go attached to the building with an entrance inside the actual hotel so that's really convenient if you're into that type of food. The rooms appear to be half renovated? The lamps were fairly modern while the rest of the furniture was extremely outdated. Perhaps they kept it that way to match the gray scale old style photos on the wall of Holiday Inns from the 50s & 60s. Or maybe the photos were put there to excuse the furniture? Either way it doesn't work well. It seems like the air filtration needs to be cleaned in the room. No matter whether we had the thermostat on chill or slightly warm, it always managed to be stuffy. This may also be in part to the fact that the bathroom doesn't have a fan in it, which is beyond me. Speaking of the bathroom, it's pretty basic. I wasn't a fan of how the bathrooms cheated you of a countertop. It just screams one night stay because there's no way you can comfortably place your personal items there for multiple uses. My final negative comment is that I got a note under my door of a random $25 charge for "accommodation" despite the fact that my booking was paid in full on the IHG website. This was immediately corrected downstairs at the front desk but the attendant didn't present a clear answer on why someone thought it fit to charge that amount, just a "oh, they shouldn't have charged you that, I'm sorry." We booked this place last minute so we weren't expecting much and got just that, but it sufficed for the evening. read more

I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn location in Timonium because I knew that I'd arrive late and also because I'd be able to grab something to eat especially since It was connected to the Chilis restaurant. When I checked in at the front desk, the ladies weren't welcoming and clearly weren't paying attention. The reservation rate I chose included a $20 Chili's giftcard and somehow he did not notice that on the reservation. Instead, I had to inquire about it and then I was given the coupon. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. (Shame on me for not seeing that) and from the lobby and elevators you can certainly tell. However, I was given one of the renovated rooms and I was surprised at how modern the rooms were. Kudos to Holiday Inn. Sadly, there is where my praise for holiday Inn ends. It was difficult to sleep because the ceiling of the room was thin. I heard every step that the occupant above me made and every time something fell to the floor throughout the night. Apart from that, the busy street made sleeping even worst. If you need a good night sleep before a long day of meetings and this is the only place to stay, bring earplugs and ambien. read more

I stayed in a room with 2 queens. The room & the hotel was clean. Everything worked in the room. The room was quiet, with plenty of hot water. The workers were friendly. The parking lot was clean with plenty of spaces & no loiters. I perceived the hotel was basically safe. I probably will not return here again. First the bathroom was really small. if you're staying with a family - rethink this. Second the way management handles breakfast is just weird. You have to purchase at the front desk for $5/each a limited breakfast buffet. Management calls it a restaurant - I don't agree. My suggestion is build in the $5 charge into the cost of the room and go to a HI Express or Hampton and just copy what they do. Additionally for the management; it's 2019 and it's just not necessary to waste the paper & manpower to slip the bill under the door overnight. read more

This hotel is conveniently located to the State Fairgrounds, many good restaurants and useful shops and businesses. It's easy to find everything within a few mile radius. Not worth the value. I have stayed at a few IHG group hotel before and this one was not up to par. I stayed here because of the close proximity to the Timonium fairgrounds. I was attending the beer bourbon and bbq festival there and wanted to stay somewhere close. Since this holiday inn was within walking distance and I would be doing a lot of drinking I decided to book here. I reserved a king sized room with breakfast included, but when I checked in there weren't any available so I ended up with an handicap assist room that had a queen sized bed. The room was right at the elevator which didn't seem like a bad place until you realize that the old elevators made so much noise. All night you could hear metal grinding. Almost forgot to mention that the elevators are slow as molasses too. The front desk clerk didn't put in my breakfast tickets when I checked in so I had to go get them the next morning. All on ally room was decent but overpriced in my opinion. It was what you would expect to pay 89.99 a night not 149.99. Next time I would just take a cab there and back since I only live about 30 min away. read more

I'm disappointed because, when booking, we had expected to be able to use the outdoor pool but apparently, when there is no lifeguard the pool can't be used and... there was no lifeguard during any part of our stay, which was overnight into the morning. Also, to me, breakfast is really an important part of the hotel... you should know that breakfast is $5 per person while children 12 years and younger have free foods, and this was not clear at all on the website or reservation and I struggled figuring out what the circumstances were. The breakfast room was already hard to find (???) and not placed in a great place. However, I do have a plus point-- the cleaning lady was sooo kind and helped me get into the room when I struggled with my card. Love her. read more

This was a nice hotel. Staff is friendly. Stayed here for New years eve and the rates was great! They offer a mini stove and refrigerator in the king size room. Our room was very clean and comfortable. They have the thermostat on the wall which you can enjoy regulating the temperature yourself. Microwave refrigerator, and they offer the small samples of bath and body works shampoo conditioner and lotion for your pleasure. Just wish they had the body wash to go with that but nope it was regular bar soap. Oh well. . I guess you can't have it all. They do offer a hot breakfast which btw unless you get the breakfast rate included when you make your reservations. Which is what we did the breakfast is still not a bad rate at $5.00 per person. You get the breakfast coupons from the front desk. They had my all-time favorite. .Baconmmm and the cheese scrambled eggs were good if I say so myself. The home fries needed a little help. The fruit and yogurt was good and the also offered the typical continental breakfast to go with that as well. Coffee was weak to my liking. Come on now after New year's eve. Look like somebody would have stepped it up on the coffee but I guess the person that made it didn't do a high level of celebration lol. I can't say enough about our experience. We came in from Dallas for a wedding and used the Chili's attached to the hotel. I was entertained to see the menu featuring some of our local recipes. :-) We checked in around 3pm, dropped off our belongings and returned after the wedding. We used the Chili's the night before for a night cap and to watch some sports and again, to get brunch, because it was convenient. :) The desk staff were very helpful with directing us to some local haunts, the showers were comfortable with sufficient water pressure AND warm water, the beds SMELLED SO CLEAN (which is my biggest pet peeve). I didn't get to do my usual inspection before accepting the room, but it did NOT disappoint. I slept like a baby and it was QUIET! I didn't pay attention to the kind of toiletries they had, but they smelled like Bath and Body Works~I liked the shampoo better than my own, so I used it. The best part: I was offered a better rate once I arrived. They let us keep the same room for the lower rate. I know this not a unique situation , as most hotels will do this when a cheaper room is available. I just appreciated they were WILLING to do it. It also added joy to my experience when I reunited with old friends-like-family because I chose that hotel! I'm extremely picky and hard to please when it comes to hotels. Mainly because of the expense when you're traveling. It's a great choice and conveniently located whenever you travel to the metro-area, especially Hunt Valley. You won't be disappointed! read more

This Hotel is a great find. I was attending a convention in Hunt Valley and needed a hotel to stay at because the host hotel was sold out. The Holiday Inn was a quick 4 minute drive in a straight line from Hunt Valley. It was very easy to find, and had a large parking lot. I checked in after 9:00 PM. The attendant at the desk was very friendly and cheerful, almost as if he had just started his shift. I was given a room on the seventh floor. The room was large, and came with a small fridge and a microwave. The bed was King Size and VERY comfortable. The AC unit offered a welcoming respite to the heat outside. I never heard any noise all night. The next morning I woke up and took a shower. The water pressure was strong and they had some really nice citrus shampoo. My checkout was seamless. If you are in Hunt Valley and need a place to stay, I would strongly endorse this Holiday Inn. Very friendly staff and nice looking facilities at a very fair price. The business center computers were a little slow when I tried to check my mail, but with so many people using I-Phones and I-Pads these days, it probably does not matter. So if you are looking for a place to stay near Hunt Valley, with fair prices that come along with a soft bed, quiet room, a working AC, friendly staff, and a solid shower, this is your place to stay. Double bonus: it is a 4 minute drive to the Wegmans in Hunt Valley. read more

I reserved a suite but upon arrival I was told they didn't have one. They gave me a King Bed room instead and refused to credit me the difference. The room had ants crawling up the walls and on the floor, the vents weren't cleaned, the telephone didn't work and several of the staff didn't wear masks. When I complained I was told I had to speak to the manager who was never in. I was dealing with a medical situation and didn't have time to research another hotel. I ended up using Lysol to take care of the ants and vents. I travel a lot and have stayed at many hotels. I have never encountered such rudeness or lack of cooperation. If this is the last place available to stay pick your car. It is probably cleaner, safer and less aggravating. read more

I stayed Saturday and Sunday nights in August 2015. Other reviewers mentioned the hotel upgrading and related problems. I saw none. Pros: The staff was super friendly and eager to make sure I had everything I wanted. The room was clean and the bed and bedding couldn't have been more comfortable. I slept well. Cons: At one point I wanted to watch tv because I had a little time to kill. There's a channel lineup available, but no schedules. Also, I had difficulty with the extremely slow wi-fi service. There's no place to plug in a cable (forgoing the wifi). (The cable also provides a more secure connection.) Only one of the two elevators worked. The one in service was painfully slow, but I was assured that they had a repair person coming on Monday. read more

I've never taken the time to write a review but I want to warn anyone who takes Co-VID seriously, (As we all should) that I saw SEVERAL staff members not wearing masks at this hotel. Two of which were members of the cleaning staff. In addition to the lack of masks, the vent in the bathroom was full of dust/grime/etc., the air conditioner was very old and had weird brown fuzzy material sticking out of it, the shower drain was clogged and the toilet barely flushed. I'm pretty mellow about dirt and grime, but it was gross, even for me. The bed was comfortable- that was the only benefit. read more

Great staff, clean hotel. I stay at Holiday Inns regularly and this one is right below par with the others. Could use an update, but the place is clean so that's of little concern. I give three stars because I've noticed room service trays stay out in the hallways for a very long time from time to time, and the walls at least on my floor lack significant insulation. This allows you to slightly be able to hear even normal volume conversations from your neighbors. Not an easy fix, considering the walls are essentially concrete/masonry behind the wallpaper. Again, no major complaints, but the stay becomes significantly less enjoyable when the walls enable me to hear both rooms beside me. read more

Disappointed in this hotel, so I'm updating my review. I went to check in recently, it was 12:55pm. I understand that check-in isn't technically until 3pm, but I stay in a different hotel almost every night and 99% of the time I am able to check-in early. As in 10am early, on many occasions. It wasn't just that my room wasn't ready. When I approached the counter the clerk was on the phone, and made no acknowledgement of my presence. I found this offensive. It wasn't a couple of seconds, she took an entire reservation, with many questions from the person on the phone, credit card information included, without ever recognizing I was standing there. I wouldn't even have expected her to get off the phone, but to maybe send a glance my way to let me know she knew I was there ... When she did finally get off the phone she told me that the hotel had been sold out the night before (what this has to do with anything I'm not sure), and that no rooms were available yet. She sassily told me that guaranteed check-in wasn't available until 3pm. I explained that I was well aware of this policy but usually hotels were able to accommodate me earlier. I also explained that I needed to leave the area for work & would prefer to check in as early as possible. AND THEN SUGGESTED THAT I GO EAT LUNCH AT THE ATTACHED CHILIS. I'm sorry, but I find this extremely strange. I never expressed that I was hungry. In fact I expressed that I had work to do. She offered to take my number and call me when a room was ready. I asked when she thought a room might be available and she said 2pm. I gave it to her, and then proceeded to sit in the lobby for 45 minutes (until 12:45pm) doing work on my phone. Finally, I went out to my car to sit just for a change in scenery. I sat there until 2:10pm. Finally, I went back in and stated that I was "just checking in to see if there was a room". Well, lo & behold, there's a room. What. The. Eff. She said she'd call me when a room became available. By the way, when I walked in, she was on her phone. So freaking annoying. The other thing was that she never asked me about what I wanted my welcome amenity to be (I'm a Platinum Elite member). When I asked her about it the next day (same clerk) she again, sassily, told me that I was by default given the amenity points unless I asked for something else. Now, this is 100% false. I have been asked at almost every other hotel which I preferred, the goody-bag or the points. By no means is something "by default. \\ The room was not nice. I will not ever stay at this hotel again, purely because of this stay. I only wish I had gotten this woman's name. She was fairly young with dark hair. read more
