    Cockroach or cricket? You decide.
    Drew T.

A little disappointed about this hotel after seeing better than average reviews on various travel sites. First the bad- (1) We had an issue with what looked like a cockroach that was spotted under the opening of a bath tub. Upon showing the video and picture to the night manager, he told my wife it was a cricket and it occasionally happens but was not apologetic. See attached picture and you can decide for yourself. The biggest issue here was not that there was a pest in the room, but was the manager's reaction to it. To be clear, the person at the front desk took it very seriously, but the manager did not. (2) there were metal protrusions from the side of the bed that I bruised myself on. It looks like they attempted to tape them so there would be some padding, but it is not enough when you don't expect something there. See attached picture. (3) it seems we were given an Accessible Room though we clearly did not request for one. This was not a big deal- but we had to find a place for the shower chair, and I hope it did not take away a room from someone who needed one. (4) The tub had a small crack, which is probably why the bottom of the tub had a rusty looking opening. We were fine with showers, but other guests may have wanted to take a bath. As for the good, (1) Except for the one night manager, the rest of the staff was very nice, from the desk to the breakfast staff (2) They have breakfast- a mix of hot and cold options and 24-hour coffee (3) the room had 2 queen beds and a queen convertible sofa, which is the primary reason for us choosing this hotel, as we have 2 teenagers. This is hard to find without getting a suite somewhere. I don't want to tell everyone to stay away because the issues surrounded one room and one night manager, but it would have been nice if they offered to compensate us for the pest.

I selected this hotel because it seemed rather quiet but near a lot of stuff, and if I were in charge of their marketing I may keep that description. The hotel is off the road from a traffic light, and has its own parking lot. As of January 2022 construction vehicles are taking some of that space, and signs in the foyer let you know they are in the process of updating. I strongly recommend using the Hilton app - you can "pick your own room", check in, and use your phone as a key card. I use the quotes because I had one choice, and initially sharing a wall with the elevator made me nervous. But fortunately, I didn't hear much of any noise through the walls, just partying in the parking lot. The room itself was very clean. The bed was a little off on the bed frame - that was a surprise sitting down - but all the bedding and towels were clean. There were lights on either side of the bed, and a coffee station above the mini fridge. The bathroom was also pretty clean, although the toilets are small enough for a fourth grader. I'm convinced the chain picked up a surplus from financially struggling primary schools, or maybe just has no idea most of their customers are taller... The lobby sells snacks and drinks, and has displays on their side of the front door. They also have a coffee station, and some soft chairs to sit in if you're waiting. They have a late checkout of noon (and I still missed the complimentary breakfast). Overall, would definitely stay again if I was in the area! Cleanliness means the most to me.

Stayed for a week at this location. Parking is plentiful and comes at no charge. The property could use a renovation as it's dated and showing the wear of the years. The floors in the room squeak/pop. The room was sufficient, clean, and comfortable. The television had plenty of channels including HBO 1 and 2. Breakfast was pretty good and always well stocked. I'd still stay again if I were in the area, to accumulate Hilton Honors points.

One of the best hotel stays I've had. Very clean, spacious room with modern decor and microwave/frig. Bed was extremely comfortable as were the 4 large pillows. Free breakfast was very good with an assortment of items including various fresh pressed fruit juices, fruit/yogurt smoothies and fresh fruit in addition to the standard offerings of hot/cold cereals, waffle bar, eggs, bacon, etc. Lobby also has coffee/tea/hot chocolate station that is stocked and available 24/7. Staff were efficient, polite and professional. I got a top floor end room, by chance, which I appreciated greatly. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

So they put me In a room with a television that wouldn't do anything g but watch basic tv channels then Refused to switch my room!! I had to go out and buy a tv just to be able to watch tv instead of watching it on my phone!!! I complained to 3 different employees and they all ignored me like this was a constant problem.......... The breakfast is basically a school cafeteria breakfast it was pathetic my 3 year old nephew could cook a better meal then they served. Only good thing was the pool

Noise level! Is out the roof. You can hear everything! We had to stay here for a hockey tournament and got a Room on the first floor next to the gym because the hotel was sold out. You can hear creaking of the floor from above every little step they took echoed in our room. I guess there was a reason why they had ear plugs in the room.

    Clean, tidy bathroom with towels.

We were in Massachusetts for work and decided to stay a night in Hampton Inn in Bedford. Overall a good hotel, with clean room, bathrooms and towels.! The bed was comfortable, pillows were okay not comforting, as they were extra soft and we don't like it personally. The complimentary breakfast was good, had different good options from fresh juices, bread, omelet etc. We enjoyed it. Overall hotel structure seemed to be little old, but a good place with decently priced rooms for a short stay. Only downside that we felt during our stay, the lady at reception was not informative. She was welcoming and friendly but, not informative. When we arrived, she checked us in quickly and handed over the key. However, dint bother to guide us which floor is our room? We don't live here to find ourselves. When guest arrives, remember either they would have traveled by driving 100s of miles or flew by long flights and they will be tired, it's hotel stuffs responsibility to make them feel comfortable.. Anyhow, we had to ask this lady which floor and then got the answer. Little extra effort would have earned that fifth star.!

    ... not satisfied.

Dates of stay: Columbus Day weekend 2022…read more Firstly- this is not in Boston. Boston is about 30- 40 minutes away depending on traffic so if you really want to be downtown and checking out the State House/Freedom Trail/MFA or anything quintessentially Boston- this is not the location. Interior: Hotel is clean and quiet. There were a lot of people at the hotel this weekend due to a myriad of events. From what my eavesdropping discovered there were women's athletics events, leaf peepers and persons in town for weddings (like me). I didn't feel overwhelmed or crowded despite this place being full occupancy the whole weekend. The area where they have computers isn't that great- you can't even use zoom so you're better off bringing your own laptop if you have web based meetings. There is a printer if that's enticing! This hotel is pet friendly- I saw dogs of all sizes here. All were super quiet which is great and the place didn't reek of dirty dog which is great. If I hadn't noticed people walking their dogs I wouldn't had known pets could be brought here. Exterior: The road that leads to the hotel is very dark at night! If you get here after 10pm you will likely have to park at the lot in the back of the hotel which is massive. The property is what is to be expected of a Courtyard- nothing fancy but definitely not a hole in the wall. Room: My room was great. The bed was very comfortable and now my husband wants to get the same bed in our house! The room was not huge but it was fine for the two of us. The AC works very well (too damn well for my liking) so it makes for a nice crisp New England night inside your room (while you snuggle under the down comforter). The rooms only get cleaned upon request so if that is important to you keep that in mind. The water pressure is spectacular as is the temperature of the hot water!! The water is also filtered so no extra chlorine or other toxins sneaking into your shower water! Minor critique/observation- if you need the bathroom mirror to defog fast because you're in a hurry this may be an issue. The mirror took forever to defog and there's no vent to suck out the steam. Opening the door didn't help much at all! Like I said this is minor- you may be one of the beautiful people who never needs a mirror and just "wakes up like this"... Cost: The cost was one of the cheaper options and I needed something super close within Billerica so it was perfect. Note that they don't charge your card until you get to the hotel. Staff: This is where my biggest gripe is. I called during the days before my stay to speak with the front desk due to wanting to flag that I would be arriving very late and most importantly not to give my room away. Despite just numerous efforts no one ever picked up the front desk phone. I had to go through the main reservations number for Marriott for them to put a note in the account. It was very frustrating- even they couldn't get anyone from the Billerica hotel to pick up the phone. When I got to the hotel the person at the desk was pleasant and everything went off without a hitch. I would say this isn't the type of hotel where you just see a person sitting at the front desk- they're in the room adjoining the front desk and you have to signal to them or wait for them to appear. The people who worked at the deceptively named Bistro were all very nice. Note that the Bistro is only open in the morning, does not have a kitchen and serves Starbucks coffee and other products. Overall: If I had to stay in this area for some reason again, I'd chose this hotel.

I was also told that the hotel manager would be in touch the next day, that would've been 7/8. It's 7/11 and I've heard nothing. Aside from the damage to my brand new car that didn't even have 6,000 miles, as a woman traveling by herself, the idea there isn't any security in the guest parking area is disturbing. I will say the beds were very comfortable.

The room itself was mediocre, and several of the outlets didn't work, which was frustrating when trying to charge devices and get settled. We also tried the breakfast buffet at their CHOPPS restaurant, and that was another disappointment. They offered a full spread scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, frittata, oatmeal, a fruit and yogurt bar, bagels, toast, croissants, and an omelet station but most of the hot food was actually cold. The only thing that really stood out in a positive way was the made-to-order omelet station. The pool area was another letdown -- the pool itself is actually pretty large for a hotel pool, but it didn't feel very clean, which made us hesitant to use it. Overall, between the underwhelming room and the poor breakfast experience, this isn't a property I'd choose to stay at again, especially given how reliable other Marriott locations have been for us.

This beautiful wooded oasis is just up the hill from Fitchburg State University. The home is lovely, with three upstairs rooms available for guests. With our family along, we spent time in two of the rooms. The Harvard is spacious and has a great shower with streams from two sides. What a luxurious experience! The Hudson is also roomy with a serene view of the pool and the back woods (and chicken coop!). It has a jetted tub, so very relaxing, and a shower too. The beds are huge and comfortable, with what must be a pillow-top on the tall firm mattress. These might be the most comfortable rooms we've ever stayed in at a B&B! Breakfast is freshly made with several delicious options from a menu where you make you selections the night before. The eggs are fresh from their own chickens! The hosts Sarah and Ryan served us in a well-lit "Florida Room" with a view of the flower-garden. And we saw a hummingbird flitting among pink and lavender flowers! On the first floor, in addition to the breakfast room, there's a kitchenette with complimentary beer and soft drinks and snack bars, single-serve coffees, and tea bags with a hot and cold water dispenser, (and both milk and cream, thx!). There is a large comfortable sitting room, where we spent part of a pleasant evening with the friendly owners, swapping travel stories. And from there is an enclosed brick pathway to a rec room with a nice billiard table. To the left is the clean outdoor pool, or ahead is the open covered lighted porch with a ceiling fan, which has a step down to the pool. We took a few laps, then walked down and around to the patio with a fire-pit and a large jacuzzi. On an overcast September day, the pool was cool but not chilly, and the jacuzzi was warm with easy-to-adjust powerful jets. The chicken coop is hidden downhill a bit further, and there's no resident rooster so you might hear some cheerful clucking but no raucous crowing. It's just 1.5h by MBTA train from North Station in Boston to this tranquil hideaway. The hosts are charming and hard-working, always making improvements, always ready with friendly conversation. The price is of course a bit more than some local hotels, but not at all expensive, and our envious hotel-staying relatives all came by for a relaxing evening of wine on the porch.
