This Hampton Inn is tempting as it is centrally located in historic Williamsville with great bars & restaurants within walking distance and a stone's throw from SUNY's flagship research university, U.B. But @$375 a night for a suite, find another place to lay your head. While the staff is pleasant and the generic Hampton Inn breakfast is serviceable, you'd better rely on the free coffee to wake you up as the water pressure in the shower is a disappointing trickle. The room is spacious but the vinyl flooring will leave you cold. The furnishings are tired and worn, and if you shift the furniture you may find (as we did) a rotten squishy apple lurking under a chair. The only carpeted area is under the bed and where it meets the vinyl flooring it was frayed and dirty. The basedboards were noticeably dirty. My in-law's room with a fireplace (LED) smelled noticeably musty. Pillows are completely unsupportive. They advertise a jacuzzi at the pool, but it was out of order. There are plenty of other options nearby, best to skip this until Hilton decides it's time for a refresh. read more

My rather large family arrived in Buffalo for a funeral. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond, to not only offer condolences, but also provided space for our extended family to gather after hours. Alex and Marylin were warm, courteous, and even ordered us cookies after a slight room mix up (which wasn't even the hotels fault- we can blame my uncle's) truly a wonderful place to stay. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

Beautifully and whimsically remodeled, I wonder if every Hampton Inn looks this good? The beds have a soft (and washable) sheet/duvet coverlet that replaces the never-washed polyester bedspread and suspicious blanket. The attractive coverlet looks Scandinavian, is light yet warm and instantly makes it a bed I want to climb into - and a mattress so insanely comfortable it makes it incredibly difficult to roll out of. The bath is sleek with a Moen detachable magnetic shower head and a sophisticated and roomy all-glass enclosure. The bonus? Cats & dogs up to 75 pounds are welcome ($50 pet fee). The only demerit of this hotel's remodel is the weird spectacle of floor-to-glass windows showcasing the pool to everyone in the lobby. I can't understand how you'd want to sink into the whirlpool with the optical oddity of watching fully dressed people milling about a few feet away (and staring - or is that just my nightmare?) Continue the whimsical decoration of the public spaces and rooms and frost that window in an interesting way. Everything else- from the clean blue and cream palette, comfortable bed, screened windows that let in fresh air and a lovely shower- this Hampton Inn is excellent. read more

I give it 4.75. The minus .25 is because our shower head didn't have the best pressure. But literally everything else was great. The hotel was CLEAN, didn't smell of febreze. Was just clean no raunchy smells that cover up something else. People that worked there were kind and clean. Breakfast was good Coffee was always fresh I think it was. 4.5 star hotel read more

A comfortable, easy, and convenient place to stay in the Buffalo area. Stayed the nights here about a week and a half ago while working in the area. They offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was really handy. Check in process was really quick and informative. Being a visitor I asked a few questions about local food and info. They were really great about helping out. The rooms were clean and bed was comfy. I had a dual queen room which was decently roomy. They had the standard bathroom items if you need them. Continental breakfast here is a must. They have waffles with tons of toppings, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, bagels, and more! Hit it every morning. Super good way to kick the day off. Overall: A Solid hotel choice in the Buffalo area!! read more

Being a frequent traveler I stay in alot of hotels for both work and pleasure. I usually gravitate to the Hilton brands and I'm usually pleased. This is a very nice hotel in this price range! First the important info, my husband and I both got a great night's sleep, the bed and pillows were very comfy. Great black out curtains!! The bathroom is a good size with plenty of counter space for 2 people. I do like to take baths occasionally when traveling and this tub was deep enough to do so. I always clean them again... but it was clean... just my thing. I chose to sleep in and my husband ventured down for breakfast, typical Hilton breakfast, waffle station, oatmeal, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, sausage patties and western premade omelets. Friendly staff. Only reason for star deduction is coffee was lukewarm at best.. that was disappointing, but wouldn't stop me from staying again. Overall a solid choice! read more

Decided to stay here after driving by on a previous trip to Buffalo . I didn't have high expectations - thinking that the chain is a mid range experience I was wrong The location is great in the heart of the village of williamsville - within walking distance of several restaurants, shops and attractions. Proximity to local highways made it easy to get all around the area. The Room was wonderful, clean very well appointed. The Bathroom was very nice as well. Add a genuinely caring staff and you have a better experience than I could imagine, at a very good price. read more

I\m a big fan of this HI - it's definitely one of the nicer properties I've stayed at with this brand and absolutely nicer than the grotty full-service Hilton I endured last week. The location is great - just a few miles away from the airport (they have a shuttle) and right on Main St. in cute Williamsville. That means there are plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance, and there's a Rite Aid that shares a parking lot - super convenient if you need a toiletry or a snack. The immediate neighborhood has lots of lovely homes and is great for walking or jogging. The hotel itself is well kept and nicely decorated - my room was spotless and comfortable. There's a small pool right off the lobby if you're into that, as well as a small work out room. Wifi and breakfast are free and above average. Staff are a delight too - friendly and full of recommendations for local places to eat. My one warning is that the Rite Aid does get early AM truck deliveries which can be a bit noisy - not the hotel's fault but ask to be on the back side if you are a lighter sleeper. Otherwise, it's a quiet, well located and well maintained Hampton. I liked it so much that I decided to drive back from Toronto a night early to stay here before my AM flight. read more

I had to spend 4 days in the Buffalo area for work and my company booked me at this hotel because of its location and reputation and apparently thats where everyone who has to go to Buffalo for work gets sent. My first thought when I pulled up was wow what a cute little town. There is a little of everything from restaurants, massage spas, little coffee and tea shops and boutiques. Couldn't wait to get out and explore. I checked in and the staff was very friendly, check in was quick and they even gave me a bottle of water for being an honors member. I asked about any places that delivered and the attendant gave me a few carry out menus to choose from. I went to my room and it was very clean and spacious. The mini fridge was there that I requested to be in the room and was nice and cold. I noticed that they had a coffee pot in the bathroom which seemed kind of odd and no microwave. I did call down to the front desk and asked if there was one on the floor I was staying and they offered to bring one up and did. That was very nice. I cant remember the last time I stayed in a hotel where there wasnt a microwave and the coffee pot was in the bathroom. That was a little disturbing but I dont drink coffee anyway so It didnt matter. The bed was comfortable and the duvet cover was nice and cozy. My room was very quiet and I didnt hear doors slamming at all which was nice. I never used the pool I wish I would have. Breakfast was great all days, mini omelettes, breads, bagels, waffles, potatoes, sausages, keilbasa, pastries, oatmeal, boiled eggs, cereal juices, fresh fruit and ice water! If you go away hungry its your own fault lol. I definitely will stay there again if need be. Checkout was a breeze and the staff was always friendly. read more

I can't give high enough praise to Aisha at the front desk who took pity on a very tired traveler from California when she let me check in early and drop immediately into the most comfortable bed in the most peaceful room ever. She literally was a lifesaver that day and the rest of my stay was just as positive. I felt safe, very comfortable & well cared for at this very affordable, well-located property. I didn't get the names of other staff people but they were very helpful too. The breakfast service was a welcome plus as well. Stumbled on to this really nice Hampton Inn in Williamsville. Was supposed to be at another Hampton Inn this night, but they only had smoking rooms left, so I moved to this hotel. The lobby, rooms, and staff were lovely. The location is about 1 mile off highway. It's about 15 min ride back to Buffalo airport. There are also some yummy restaurants close by and a Starbucks just across the parking lot. Be sure to check out the Italian wine bar down the road -- Trattoria Aroma on Main Street. read more

I have stayed at this Hampton multiple times for staff meetings and more recently for work. Generally, as Hamptons go, it's good, but there are a few issues. The rooms are generally nice, with a large tv, good size, and workable, decently maintained bathrooms. The walls are paper thin, but that is normal, so once in a while it becomes necessary to remind people of the concept of common courtesy. The hotel is further located right on Main Street in Williamsville, within walking distance of a number of decent restaurants (see reviews), making it useful even during the cold Buffalo winter when visitors may choose to leave their cars. The issues are, as noted, limited to the walls, the fact that they don't bake their cookies properly, occasional lapses in customer service from the front desk (You actually have to request that they honor your Reward level requests...) and, most importantly, the semi-broken work out facility. The latter is small and cramped, with both weights and three cardio machines, as well as a tv. The issue is that, if you happen to have people on two of the machines and then either turn on the tv or the third machine, the breaker kicks out, leading to a rapid stop and a potential for some not-so-entertaining injuries. Overall a good place to stay, but be aware! read more

Stayed here for a week for business travel. I'm a huge fan. I generally don't stay at Hampton Inns, but the location of this hotel was perfect for me. It's in a very cute area, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful when needed. My room was extremely comfortable, I loved the bed. The breakfast was fantastic. Kashi cereals! Never seen that at a FREE breakfast before. Also RIPE fruit as well, everyday that I was there. Normally on our anniversary, my husband and I try to plan a nice getaway. We also have done overnight stays at the more well known romance destination in Buffalo, you know, the Italian one ;). Well last year finances were a little tight so we opted to stay somewhere a bit closer to home. After a little research I decided to make the reservations for our special night myself. I couldn't have been happier! I called the Hampton Inn and expressed to them it was going to be our wedding anniversary stay and asked if they could throw in something special for us. We booked the King Jacuzzi Suite. Immediately upon entering the room I was impressed! Huge, clean, room with very nice linens, and duvet cover. A lovely fireplace for ambiance. The bed was so comfortable. The Jacuzzi was very clean and accommodating. That "special something" I asked them to throw in ended up being a lovely gift set, which included: chocolates, wine glasses, and Victoria Secret bubble bath and lotion. Along with all the great accommodations the hotel provided, there was the convenience of Main St in Williamsville. We spent the evening strolling through the village, visiting Glenn Falls and the lovely park. In the evening there was no shortage of great restaurants to choose from. After dinner, we stopped into one of the many pubs and enjoyed drinks and live music. So, if going to a local getaway means you want to stay in your room all day and then get shuttled to dinner, stick with that other place. If a romantic evening is what you have in mind, but need to do it on a budget, then I highly recommend booking a night at The Hampton Inn. read more

OK After staying in several Hampton Inns all for between $129-$149 this one at $179 was disappointing. This one is getting a bit dated and is not quite as clean as the others. The rooms are nice size, nice TV, and free Wi-Fi. As with most hotels the "fitness center" is basically a cardio area and no weight equipment. They get extra points for having commercial grade Precor cardio but it needs some weight equipment. The breakfast was very nice and had everything you would want but the seating is area is way to small. Overall it was a good experience but at this price I would expect much more than this Hampton Inn offers. read more

This is a great place to stay if you're in the area. Very clean, modern and spacious. We booked a two night stay here when we visited for my friend's wedding. The staff is very friendly. Lobby is huge and has tea/coffee at all hours. In the mornings, they have a hot breakfast. There's also a pool in the lobby. Rooms were very clean and had a lot of space. Huge parking lot in the front and a Rite Aid right next door...you can just walk on over if you need something. This location is also walking distance to many restaurants. The trip started off with my calling the front desk at the Hampton Inn Buffalo-Williamsville and asking to have the hotel shuttle meet me at the airport. I was told the shuttle was already there and what to look for. Alright, easy enough. Right?..Wrong. What they failed to tell me was that the "Hampton shuttle" is franchised owned, meaning there is a different Hampton shuttle for each hotel. So, not having the full information, I got into the shuttle the front desk described to me. Wrong answer. As we departed I told the driver which hotel I was headed to. The shuttle driver quickly explained to me that this was the wrong shuttle. He then proceeded to call the correct shuttle to meet me at the Hampton Inn at Buffalo-Airport. I tipped the gentleman and thanked him for taking care of calling the correct shuttle for me. I waited approximately five minutes when the first shuttle driver came outside and politely told me to get in his shuttle. He then explained to me that HE was taking me to the Hampton Inn Buffalo-Williamsville, ten minutes away. He explained that the Hampton Inn Buffalo-Williamsville gave him/me two choices. Either the Hampton Inn Buffalo-Airport could drop me off or take a cab, as they were not going to pick me up. What?? The gentleman who took the time to help me out turned out to be the General Manager, James Burke, Jr. One of the nicest people I could have ran into. If I EVER go to Buffalo, NY, I am staying at his hotel (Hampton Inn and Suites Buffalo-Airport at 133 Buell Ave, Cheektowaga, NY). It is only eight months old and VERY updated. Plus, Mr. Burke never accepted the $15.00 for the service. Great guy. The front desk never apologized for the mix up. Add this to the receptionist giving completely wrong directions to the restaurants in town and the General Manager at Buffalo-Williamsville telling me to go to McDonald's, laughing about it and walking away. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I will never stay here again. read more

I am a real fan of the Hampton Inns. They had one room. All hotels were booked for a a hundred miles. It was a "suite." It turned out to have a Kind sized bed and an in-room Jacuzzi tub. In my opinion that does not turn a room into a suite. We had three people - me, my husband and 14 year old son. We all slept in the same bed because they had run out of cots. Oy! Not their fault but still. The price was $285 for a king bed in a single room with an in-room jacuzzi that they called a "suite." Not worth it. So if you need a room and they suggest a suite, say no. UNless you are desperate like we were. the 3 stars is because I like the Hampton Inn in general. if I were to rate the just room for the price, I would give it 2 stars. read more
