"Lady(ish)" that answered phone couldn't give me a quote for the room including taxes...  when I said I was trying to rent multiple rooms but was from out of state and just wanted a fixed total she said "you are calling from a Rhode Island number" which i was, but I was borrowing my sisters phone and she was at the grocery store. She insisted my sister could figure out the tax and hung up on me. CLASSIC MOTOR LODGE ISNT quite as "classy" as you hope "classic" might be pushing it! Must be a crack house or hooker hotel!! Yikes!! I think I picked the wrong exit!! ( being copied to Yelp and Facebook,) but you guys probably don't care based on the 1st customer service received by your staff...  its pretty sad an employee can't tell you the cost of a room (or a few) on the nite of...including tax. Even if there were 4 diff room types avail, the poor thing could HOPEFULLY remember 4 diff totals.... I dont know maybe they employ their "tenants". Maybe its a RACIST hotel and she just didn't like the sound of my voice?,?  Pretty messed up the Classic Motor Lodge in West Greenwich is so FREAKN RACIST!!! Room was clean for the most part and had a funny smell. Cable only came in on half of the channels. I made a joke to my friend that you might be in a crack motel when there is a Wendy's burger wrapper on the smoke detector... Went to get my 50$ deposit back, the clerk checks my room, comes back and tells me that I smoked in my room I told him no, check your cameras, I smoked outside. He tells me there's proof so I tell him to show me... He brings me to the room and points to the WENDY'S WRAPPER on the smoke detector and says that's his proof!! This place is scamming people for their 50$ deposits. I will never go back. read more

My room was very clean and tidy. No smells, just like a normal motel. The staff here is super nice and punctual. Easy going people willing to work with you if you are a bit short handed on funds. My mother reserved a room for me here. And it was very upscale with the new remodels. The maid checks rooms and cleans them daily very hard working and she is sweet as pie. They do allow dogs for a fee, With the exception of service animals, they don't charge a fee for them. The management here is also very nice and respectful, willing to work with you not aginst you. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Beds are clean of bugs, no roaches here. Sinks outside bathrooms are very nice as well. Beds are comfy. With nice black and red comforter that matches the accent wall The cable box is basic style but it gets mostly all channels. The Internet is strong on my end room 207. Not sure how it is on the other end of building But I assume it's the same allover. Tvs could use an update but then again your not here to watch TV anyway if you are just passing through. Price was right and people are friendly . Come by and stay awhile you won't regret it. Brand new heater/AC in my room. Looks great and functions flawless night and day. The automatic function works like a charm. read more

Do NOT stay here. I reserved a room with a queen bed for one night. When I arrived, the room did not have a queen bed in it. Furthermore, there were dead cockroaches on the floor. When I immediately called the front desk to switch into a different room (the one that I reserved) I was told this is what I reserved and that everything was booked. It was a full size bed that was very uncomfortable. Looking at all the vacant parking spaces, I knew that also wasn't true. It was disgusting. Then they refused to refund my money. I travel quite a bit and it was the most disgusting room I've ever seen. Take your money elsewhere, or sleep in your car. Disgusting. read more

Motel Hell. That would be a more accurate name than Classic motel. Upon walking into our non smoking room we were overwhelmed with the stench of cigarette smoke that was attempted to be masked by air freshener. The air freshener didn't have a chance. Since the office closed right after our 10:00 PM check in we were unable to ask for a different room. We discovered a cigarette butt, see attached picture, under the bed. If the room had been properly cleaned the butt would have been easily removed. There were other issues as well. At night there was no hot water in the sink and it drained slowly. The valve in the shower was corroded and the bathtub was coated with rust deposits. See pictures. Upon checkout the next morning I listed the problems with the room with the desk clerk and requested at least a partial refund to compensate us for the issues with the room. I was told the motel does not have a policy for doing this. If you value a breathable, clean motel room do not stay here. read more

This was one of the worst places I've ever stayed in. The room has a strange odor immediately upon walking in, there were flies everywhere and no hot water. The bed spreads looks like they have been there for a quarter century and there were stains of everything....the chairs, curtains, walls, rugs. I brought my own pillow and sleeping bag and I am happy I did. You couldn't pay me to shower or use a towel there. Half the rooms seems to be residential anarchy. Stay away. read more

where do I begin?l . YOU GET WHAT You PAY FOR! on first entering the room I get this bad smell. Then I Look @ the Bed spread and the Curtains now those 2 things alone date back 2, 1940 and looked as If they had not been washed since then. LIKE I Said you get what you pay for. Opened the little frig and to my surprise (Why would I think that it Would be Clean) it was so nasty my blood pressure went up by 20, and then lets Say we found a soda bottle in plain sight on the side of the bed and Shall I Speak of the bathroom and how stained the tub and toilet was When all one would really have to do Is take some BLEACH and a toilet bowl brush to the toilet everyday and Some Comet to the TUB, Oh the temperature outside IS 29° Should I tell them I found their vacuum then maybe they can Use it! my husband does not mind he can pull the sheets Back and sleep he's a Truck driver . Im a female With OCD ready to go back up their to the Office again because lm sitting In a Chair scared to touch anything Because its gross as hell and our Truck is down for the night and We are Stranded here for the night It Bates motel. *** WARNING*** do not stay here. Place is so cheap and tries to save money whenever possible, barley any hot water, no bed spread etc... storm today and they shut down Priceline and all websites so ppl are forced to pay more. Checked out and 5 minutes later realized I left cell phone In room and phone was shut off by maid, owner said he wanted to charge us an extra 200 because of cigarette pack found in room, no smell. These people are dirty, maids are obviously on drugs. Oh yeah and don't stay for more than 2 days because maids clean once a week. Place should be demolished. Maintenance guy has master key and is on drugs, don't trust this place. read more

CAUTION: They put a bogus charge of $50 on my credit card after I checked out. We stayed for 3 nights, and never had any clean towels delivered, trash cans emptied, floors swept, or sinks and tubs cleaned. Each day, we heard a different excuse as to why no cleaning occurred. At checkout, management blamed us (the paying guests) for the room being dirty! read more

It's really best location right off the highway. The new owners are friendly and welcoming. They have weekly rentals and daily rental on good prices. Motel near by URI Campus and it's 15 minutes away from beach. Providence downtown is just 18 mins away, one of good place to visit in Rhode Island. read more
