When you walk into lobby all in the common areas look real nice. Newly updated. Short lived when you walk down to room 124 on the first floor! Electric outlets only on one side of bed and only one! No USB for phones and gadgets. Just zilch! Where pics were, now off. Paint doesn't match. Fixtures taken down. Not replaced. Curtains look like there was a cat fight. Bed lumpy. Not what you care to sleep on. Bathroom, no hooks or bars for towels. Mold all around shower-inside and out. Complained upon leaving. Employee acted like surprised. Showed her these pics. They have no business renting out Rm 124. Not going back. Gives Hilton a bad look! read more

It started off ok. There was a slight stench in the hallway leading to the room, but it was ok. I ate breakfast and it was really grand. The employee that set it up each morning was so welcoming and helpful. The front desk staff was also great and welcoming. As the stay continued, I had reached my breaking point. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT book a room here. I had an urgent death in the family and had to get a quick room for the weekend to attend the service. I walked into this place and I was stunned. As big as Hilton is they should shut these places down if they are going to do work. The room smelled like urine, and the carpet was nasty. And of course the people next door decided to have a screaming match at 11:00 at night after I have traveled all day. I am Hilton Gold level and this was a terrible experience. There are a ton of hotels within a mile from or two so STAY AWAY from this dump! Its now 11:30 and the arguing is still going on. Might have to cancel my room here and stay elsewhere tomorrow night. read more

Customer service and employees were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is under renovations which is a good thing because the room was quite shabby and in major need of updating. Hopefully they are doing the rooms as well as the outer areas. Not up to Hampton Inn standards. read more

Location: Convenient to stores and restaurants (25 miles from Dallas) Staff: Not terrible but sociably awkward with customer interactions. General Area/ Hallways: Clean counter tops, but a funky smell in the hallways as if a teenage football team just had a 5 hour stake-out in there. Very stained carpets... Worst Experience. Do not recommend this hotel. I booked a double queen bed room as I had 4 people (booked 3 moths ahead). They put me in a small King, when I complained they then moved me to a king with a pull out couch saying they didn't have any queen rooms left. Was told I was the 3rd person that happened to that night. Couch was very uncomfortable, was told they would comp my stay which was 2 nights, they did not and then lied about it when questioned. Staff and GM were very rude and one worker had her young child running around the entire time. The hotel smelled and is in need of some updates. I do not recommend this hotel. read more

Stayed here multi times over the last year. Things have changed for the worse. Daughters room AC quit on a day temps reached 111°. Front desk, "Nothing we can do about that". No help and no offer to move. Room temp reached 85°. Toilet wouldn't flush. Front desk:"come get a plunger". Giant cock roach spotted on wall by snack area. Front desk: "I ain't touchin' that". Roaches spotted in breakfast area. Television channels don't match the Guide. Front desk:"just scroll through till you find something to watch." Bedding so full of dust that to lay down caused coughing and sneezing all night. Front desk:" we'll comp room for the night AC didn't work". Fully charged credit card when checked out. Breakfast food, same all 4 days. Runny, cold, scrambled looking stuff dumped out of a bag. Muffin choices slim. Waffle batter old and runny. Avoid this place at all costs. There are MUCH better choices right next door and more within a half mile. read more

I've stayed at this Hampton Inn a dozen times over the past year and there really is nothing to complain about. Except maybe that the pool is always dirty and closed... All hotel guests are invited to a complimentary breakfast buffet until 10am. The menu changes every day but there is usually always a protein and an egg option. I personally like the scrambled eggs and maple sausage best. They also have a waffle iron, cereal bar, fruit basket and muffins / breads. There is also a juice station and milk refrigerator. Just be sure to get in before 9:45 or the main protein and egg dish might be sold out. The hotel itself is rather quiet. It is off the highway and overlooks the lake. I have never heard road noise anywhere on the property. The other nice thing about being right off the highway is that there are about 50 restaurants within a stones throw. The business center is always clean and the printer is fast and stocked with ink and paper. WiFi is great too and free for Hilton members. The lobby is huge as it over flows into the breakfast buffet area and is usually always very quiet. There is a small pantry for items like snacks and forgotten toiletries. Prices are reasonable. The gym is always clean too although small, I've never seen more than 1 person in it at a time. I highly recommend the Mellow Mushroom or Saltgrass for dinner and drinks. Again a great stay so far. Front desk associate was very gracious and allowed me to check in early after a long all night drive to the hotel. Also I have never seen a hotel business center with a Mac computer. I was impressed. Usually a hotel's business center has dated electronics. The printer was a brand new all in one HP printer with a nice digital display. This will be my third stay at this hotel within the last year. read more

This hotel is decent. Looks nice from the outside and is clean on the inside. Only problem is that it is very dated. There is only 1 elevator and the bathroom in our room had peeling wallpaper and mold. Good thing that we checked in late and left early the next day. I might stay here again if I needed to, but other than that I would stay away from this property. read more

I travel for business and don't usually stay too long; in-and-out move on. Customer service here is great, but apparently I happened to have slept on a bed that was previously peed on. You read that right, urine, I wasn't sure what the smell was because I didn't really "hunt" for it, until I did the next morning because it still lingered. Threw the bed cover out in the hallway since it reeked the most, smell was still there, called front desk, they offered room swap, I suggested to have them swap the mattress, they said no and that's all I need to know about how they take a matter as important as hygiene. Stayed for a wedding over a weekend. Right off the bat terrible attitude & customer service by the 2 front desk girls. Our room- the floors were sticky, don't even think about going barefoot. The air conditioner never stopped running, but the room was never cold- woke up sweaty in the night. Ceiling cracked & falling through over the shower. The fridge was off/hot when we went to put our leftovers away. Even the time on the clock in our room was wrong. This hotel was seriously lacking in quality, attention to detail, & customer service, & with the $100/night price tag I would never return or recommend to others. read more

Came in town for a wedding shower & wish we stayed at the Hilton instead. Cable & WiFi didn't work, sink water did not drain, carpet was mysteriously wet in several places (don't walk around barefoot) & overall the room/hotel is very outdated and dirty feeling. We don't plan on eating the "complimentary" breakfast here either, if they can't maintain cleanliness in the rooms then probably not safe to eat here food either! read more

I love Hampton Inn but not this one. The bed was rock hard and the smoke detector over the bed flashed a red light all night. We noticed pieces of paper taped to it and wondered why, it became obvious after we turned the lights off. The hall light almost lit up the room, we put towels around the door to block it out. Top that off with traffic noise from the highway, it was not a comfortable stay. read more

I am a loyal HHONORS member. Do about 200 nights a year in hotel rooms and 90% spent at Hilton properties. I had some issues with this property. I told Samantha at the front desk I was walking next door to the Salt Grass Steakhouse for dinner. When I got over to Saltgrass and mentioned I was staying at the Hampton, they asked me if I was given a coupon for a free appetizer. I was not given one. I just checked my American Express card that I used for this stay. I was charged for the room and an additional 250.00 for smoking in the room. I am a non-smoker. I was very upset. I called American Express and opened a case, called the property and spoke with Samantha and she said it was a mistake. It will be removed but will take 5 days to get my credit. I also contacted HHONORS to let them now what took place. Will be crossing this property off my list to stay at in the future. read more

The hotel itself is fine but they did not tell us that the pool is completely closed (there was a duck and leaves in it) so maybe they should let their customers know there is no pool when it's 90 degrees before they purchase their rooms. Also, I couldn't turn off the air conditioning or even turn it down that was on full blast. read more
