There are many other options around for food, coffee, treats, shopping, etc. Some examples are Starbucks, Dutch Bros, Chick-fil-A, Taco Cabana, Raising Cane's, Olive Garden, Chili's, Mod Pizza, Texas Roadhouse, Tanger Outlet, Marshall's, Beall's, & lots more. There is a movie theater across the way also but I doubt you'll need it. Tru offers free Showtime & allows for you to log into your Netflix to watch on their big screen with great sound tv. The way the room is set up, I almost thought we had surround sound. I love the big clear windows to look out and watch the sunset or sunrise. The rooms are great. Pillows range from smooshy to firm for your liking. The bed was comfortable. I really enjoyed all the cute sayings along with the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap. Just give them a little squeeze to get what you need. I love the walk-in shower. However be sure to face the shower head away from you when starting the water up so you don't get a wet wake up call before you are ready. There's a bar yo hold onto but also a little raised lip to put your foot on to help with shaving your legs or washing your legs and feet. Very nice. Love the extra thoughtfulness. I myself am never big on hotel breakfast. For a simple, quick bite before heading out you can't go wrong. Kids will love the mini pancakes and they have lots of fun topping options. Same for the oatmeal-lots of fun toppings. Boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs (they were out at 8:45 and never refilled them -breakfast on weekends goes until 9:30), chicken apple sausage, oranges, bananas, etc. The juice options were fun! See my pictures for the flavors. There is coffee 24/7 or so they boast. I only had it in the morning so I can't attest to the truth of that. The most impressive thing to me was the gym. I was only there an evening and traveled light so no workout for me but I want to come back just for their gym. Wow! It looks tiny and with just a few machines. Once you walk in and turn the corner you have a TRX like gym mounts, bars for balance (think ballet bar), bosu ball, large workout balls, rollers, weights, peloton bike, treadmills, elliptical, etc. I say WOW again! The coolest thing was the little touch tv screen in there. You could start a workout video and it will walk you through a workout! How neat and what a brilliant idea! The decor, furniture, and appliances are modern, lean and overly simplistic, and somewhat nonsensical, like having a mini- fridge but no microwave or coffee pot. The desk is too small and the desk chair is uncomfortable. The bed was OK, the pillows were lousy. The soap dispensers over the vanity and in the shower are too high. They will be a problem for shorter people. The breakfast is sub-par in offerings and quality. The two days we were there the decaf was lukewarm. They do offer hard boiled eggs which provides an option to the high preservative, reconstituted scrambled eggs they serve. The room with taxes was $394 for two nights. On the upside the room AC worked great and the location is next to Buc-ees and close to restrauants.

We eventually parked, walked in, and checked in. The person working the front desk was friendly. We were upgraded to a suite during our stay. We didn't realize that until we opened the door to our room. The room had a living area, a bedroom area, a separate toilet, a separate shower, and two bathroom sinks. It was a nice upgrade with plenty of room to walk around and relax in. Overall it was a pleasant stay with good service.

I have long days at work and more to do after hours so I send a lot of time in the hotel and using their amenities. Here is my take on the good and bad. Good: While I have heard others complain of room quality, I have never had an issue . My only complaint about the rooms is the lack of a true refrigerator. The small coolers just don't add anything to the room since the best they can produce is lukewarm. Good incentive to visit the restaurant, bar or service counter, but a cold fridge should be a no-brainer. Which leads me to the restaurant and bar. The menu is small but the quality is very good. The staff is outstanding. I'm a bar guy, and I love this one. Chris, Selena, Sachi and Mani were amazing! They're so friendly and accommodating, and are just the best team members. They should be the standard for the staff. Which leads me to... the Bad. Shen I got to the hotel around 5:15 on Monday afternoon, I still had not received my digital key. I waited in a long line at the front desk to see what was going on. When it was my turn, I asked the attendant/host if my room was ready. I was told no, because I picked a room that wasn't clean. I'm sorry! I don't remember an option to pick an unclean room. While I was asking her when it might be ready, the phone rang and she answered it, dismissing me without a response. Off to the bar to have the staff there lift my spirits. My room wasn't ready until 6:00pm. Unacceptable. Also, 2 of the 3 elevators were not working for the week I was there, and one night when I was heading downstairs it wasn't working either. Luckily it was working after I walked down 17 floors. All in all, it was a good stay. However, it's an example of how small, cumulative hospitality failures can prevent a stay from being great.

This hotel is in close proximity to THR Dallas Presbyterian Hospital and I made a reservation after doing internet & yelp search - they were rated higher and had comments about safety and were at a fair price considering the area and market. Before making our reservations I had some questions since we'd be in the area for a surgery at Presby and some factors were in flux. The customer service representative was very pleasant, easy to understand, sensitive to our situation, & helpful. She even looked up discounts with the hospital and asked for other situations that helped us get a lower rate. This was not expected and very much appreciated!!! We did pay a small fee (I believe $10/day/room- maybe it was $20) to be able to cancel reservation in less than 24 hour notice which was helpful to our situation. Due to circumstances that were outside of our control, and unexpected great news to us medically, we didn't end up needing the rooms. As soon as I found out, I called them and spoke to a receptionist at the front desk. He was very professional and cancelled the reservation without anything further needed on our end. This was a great and much appreciated experience during a very stressful time in our lives. Thank you Hilton and Dallas Garden Inn Staff.

This really helps to prevent traffic jams during the morning breakfast rush. Great food options. Fortunately, there wasn't a mob of twelve-year-old soccer players at the breakfast bar competing for the waffle maker. I wonder if it is always this calm on the weekends? It was nice this morning.

We were finishing breakfast with our pregnant daughter and her 2 small children. A homeless man came in and walked over to help himself to the free breakfast. (Which had already been shut down and cleaned up) I quickly realized no one and I mean NO ONE was attempting to stop him from entering this area. It was a woman all by herself managing the entrance. I was looking at her expecting her to pick up a phone to call the police or get someone to address this. I even mouthed to her she needed to remove him. Since nothing was happening and I was fearing for my families safety I had already gotten them up and was heading them back to our rooms. Am I the only person aware of the random stabbings and aggressive assaults against vulnerable people that have been taking place across the country?? Later that day as we were leaving I approached the front desk to express my disbelief that this was allowed to happen. The Manager, as he told me that was who he was, told me it was the first time he was hearing about it. Please be aware when you stay at this Marriott that obviously the safety of their guests is not a priority here. We have always stayed at Marriott's, but after this incident we won't return to this one.
