Check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff at front desk. The room was nice and clean but there wasn't any hand soap in the bathroom. No worries though. The lady at the front desk met up with mini soaps within minutes and was as sweet as could be. The beds were extremely comfortable and the swivel tv and West Elm sofa were really nice. We could hardly hear the traffic so noise wasn't an issue at all. The only two things we didn't care for with the newer Springhill suites is: 1) The design of the bathroom door and no night light in bathroom. The door is a huge opaque sliding door so if anyone needs to go to the bathroom at night it's a super bright light shining into the entire room through the large opaque door. 2) The AC was nice and cool when we first got to the room, but then we woke up a couple of times with it really warm and muggy in the room. We didn't call the front desk because who wants to move in the middle of the night with a family of four. Someone posted something online about new hotel rooms having sensors that shut off AC when there's not movement so sound sleepers wake up to warm rooms. Not sure if this is true for Marriott, but if you like consistently cold air at night, room 418 here may not be for you.

The room looks pretty clean. They provide free breakfast and WiFi. Front desk people are very friendly. Free Tesla charger is extra plus

4.5 * We had just checked in when we started hearing about Tornado Warnings. Must have been very well constructed because we didn't hear any wind noise or much traffic noise from very close IH 30. The TV mentioned a tornado on the ground and headed our way. The power did go out for a few hours, understandably. Only when the power went out did we open the curtains and witness a lightning show like none we've ever seen except in the movies. Wow! Great curtains because we had no idea there was that much lightning in the area. We were very lucky that the tornado went elsewhere. Sorry for the other areas that were damaged! Back to the room itself, can't believe there were only bedside outlets on one side of the king bed. Half a star just for that Room was very nice and clean. Comfy bed. Great curtains, as noted. Would stay again. Emily did a great job checking us in quickly and efficiently!

Nice views of the lake and close to the freeway... Couldn't hear it though! Great place to stay!

July 17th in town from Phoenix visiting family. Decided to try Airbnb for the first time. Serious mistake. It was so bad there was no way I could stay there. I asked the BF to just pick a place, I didn't care. Anything would be better than this. I am SO glad he chose this hotel! I'm not sure how long it's been open but it feels brand new! Everything is so incredibly clean and well cared for! The shower is so clean you would think it has never been used. I tend to have rather high expectations and I was not disappointed. The only downside is the pool if it's important to you. It is literally the size of a large hot tub. Like so small I wonder why they bothered putting one in. We didn't plan on swimming so it didnt matter to us but if it does to you you may want to check out the Hilton down the hill. I believe the rate was $146 per night and it was worth every penny! The gentleman at the front desk in the evenings was awesome! I am one of those who needs extra towels, shampoo, pillows etc... He took care of everything without any sign of annoyance at my multiple requests. I made it a point to get his name and he even wrote it down for me... but of course, I lost it on the trip somewhere... So if you happen to read this please message me so I can update! And thank you for everything!!!

This hotel seems brand new and everything here smells brand new. Everything about this place is good, and there's nothing that'll disappoint you. I love the whole look of the interior of the hotel. Everything is clean and we'll maintained. The service is great, and most rates have breakfast included. The hotel is a little on the pricey side ($156/night when I booked it) but I think it may be because it's fairly new. Highly recommend!

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.

Very secluded feeling, & safe Food: I got the smash burger with fries, she got the fish tacos, that came with chips and salsa. Both were delicious! The meat on the burger could've used extra salt though lol Prices: $10-25. The burger had 2 patties on it, & it was $16, so well worth the price. You do get quite a bit of food for your buck, from what I noticed looking at other plates Ambiance: we sat on the patio, overlooking the lake. It was very nice, & relaxing. The bar inside had tables available, but it was pretty lively in there lol a group was playing music in the corner, & it was getting crowded by the time we left. A good spot to grab a drink apparently. The clubhouse was very nice though. Very clean, & relatively fancy feeling. Service: we had a great waitress, & food came out within 15 minutes Will definitely be going back

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at 501, and it's definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere was perfect, and our server, Robert Campbell, was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu very well. We started with the house salad and split the blackened chicken fettuccine with added shrimp -- absolutely delicious. And the dirty martini was made perfectly. We truly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend 501 to anyone living in the Heath or Rockwall area looking for a great dining experience.
