Our room had plumbing issues (leaking toilet and screeching shower), but the real problem was the atmosphere. The hotel reeked of marijuana, and we were subjected to loud, inappropriate noise from people "partying" after visiting the strip club across the street. I stayed at this property while visiting a friend from Thursday, 12-14-24 thru Saturday, 12-16-23. Personal trip + work. As you can see from my video, the room appeared to be decent upon entry. Unfortunately, that was not the case after further inspection. It had been a long day with work & travel plus adjusting to time change. It crossed my mind to asked to be moved to another room, but I didn't for a few reasons. 1. I was tired. 2. The person who checked me in wasn't the most enthusiastic, so I wasn't taking the chance of that turning into a negative experience. 3. If I was moved to another room that was just as bad, I was going to be upset. Not sure what housekeeping is doing, but that bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned at all! Cleaning the toilet goes far beyond cleaning the inside of the toilet bowl. There were nasty spots on the outside of the toilet; the base wasn't clean. Only God knows what was in the floor near the corner of the shower. I noticed hair as soon as I put the floor mat down to shower. Seeing those baseboards, I couldn't believe this was a Hilton property. You don't have to clean baseboards daily, but clearly these hadn't been touched in a very long time. There were spots on the shower curtain & hair in the shower. There was something dark on the sink right behind the faucet. I have no idea what it was & I wasn't trying to find out. There were black spots on the tile in the shower. I don't think it was mold. I think it was residue from a person or something they used in the shower but no one actually touched the tile to clean it. The bed was comfortable. However, the spots on the headboard were gross. With it being upholstery, the stains may just come out with a little product and elbow grease. It was evident that the spots had been there a while and no one even tried to do anything. Just make the bed and throw the pillows on top. Breakfast was from 6 am - 10 am. What gave this review 3 stars instead of 2 was the breakfast and the breakfast attendant. She spoke to everyone. She made sure there was no cross contamination with the tongs. If you needed help with the waffle iron, she assisted you. I think there was a problem with turning the mini waffle iron; she helped me to turn it & said it would probably be going out of service as she had trouble turning it too and showed me how she had been burned earlier. There was a full size & a mini waffle iron with malted vanilla or blueberry battery; plenty of topping choices to include whipped cream. I enjoyed the quality but spreadable butter. I didn't try any bakery items, but there were plenty of muffins, bread choices, and I believe banana bread and another bread that appeared to have cranberries in it. I can't eat oatmeal but there was some available. No juice in the juice machine on Fri, but the attendant offered to bring you some orange juice if you wanted it; the machine was available on Sat. On Fri, the hot bar had cheese omelets, bacon, and pancakes. I enjoyed the omelets; the bacon was a little salty. On Sat, there was scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and redskin potatoes. There was a good selection of cold cereal with 2% & skim milk; ran out of 2% on Sat. They also had fruit (bananas; apples; oranges). Besides the bananas, the fruit wasn't sweet. The 3rd shift person wasn't behind the front desk when I came in but was nice enough to offer to put my drink on my room's tab without making me wait to scan it. I overslept a little after breakfast on Sat. I called the front desk a few minutes before noon to let them know I wouldn't be downstairs right at noon but I'd be checking out shortly. A few minutes after noon, housekeeping was checking to see if I was staying over. I told him I was on my way out. By 12:10 pm, I was downstairs, dropping my key in the box. Sat in the lobby waiting for my friend to pick me up as a few others lingered in the same area. That's when I noticed the TVs in that space. I chose this location due to it costing almost $100 less a night due to inflated summerfest rates. Positives: Tori at front desk, Leon in housekeeping, and kitchen staff were super friendly. Check in and out was a breeze. Plenty of parking. Negatives: Pool was closed for our 3 nights. Toilet in room constantly dripped. Sink in bathroom barely touched and water went everywhere. I hate leaving a bad review because the overall staff is so friendly and nice but this needs to be said. If you travel alot and use Hilton brands, book with the Garden Inn or Homewood thats 10 minutes away. I booked a king and they downgraded me to 2 queen beds, sometimes it happens I get it. When I ask if I can me moved to a king, the gentleman at the front desk tells me that all of the rooms are the same size?? and that was the whole conversation... I leave the trash bin outside my door one day and come back to it being stolen. I ask the same front desk gentleman if I can get a new one. His answer is that I shouldn't leave the bin outside my door. I've stayed at nearly a hundred hotels and always leave the bin outside the door, never as it been stolen or been told that its partially my fault that it was stolen? The remote to the TV doesn't work, the fridge doesn't work, the room has a moldy smell that never went away. Oh, since the fridge doesn't work and I only have 1 bin, I have to use my bathroom bin and fill it with ice if I want to cool or chill anything. The internet is unusable for any online gaming. My curtains/blinds don't work at all. The metal wiring broke day 3 and I had to manually roll up and balance it if I wanted any sun light. A fellow coworker had a red liquid dripping from the exhaust in his bathroom. I was surprised to hear this because my exhaust doesn't work at all. IN THE WEEK THAT WE STAYED HERE, 3-4 CARS HAD THEIR WINDOWS BROKEN INTO. DO NOT PARK IN THE BACK, PARK AS CLOSE TO THE BUILDING AS YOU CAN. The front desk staff, minus the gentleman, kitchen staff and room service are so nice and friendly and they don't deserve any negative reviews but this hotel is in my bottom 3 that I've ever stayed in. All 8 of my team and coworkers had nearly the same experience. Read the reviews before you stay here. I should have and did not and now regret that decision; however, because I travel weekly and stay at Hampton Inn's across the US, I knew what to expect. Well, I was wrong. During the booking phase, I stated in Special Requests that I needed a Feather Free room as I do all the time as I have an intense feather allergy. The hotel is conveniently located off the interstate; however, this is a major issue I'll talk about later. I arrived late in the evening so the young gentleman who checked me in did not engage in a lot of conversation. He simply thanked me for being an Honor's member and gave me my keys. I went to my room and went to bed. I woke up a couple of hours later with my face throbbing. When I went to the bathroom, I saw a large know on my forehead which is what happens when I come into contact with feathers. I pulled the pillow covers off 2 of the pillows and saw that they were filled with duck feathers, which explained the huge knot on my forehead. I threw the pillows off the bed and slept on folded towels for the rest of the evening. The next morning I went downstairs and explained the situation to young lady at the front desk and she stated they would remove the pillows during the day. When I came back after work, nothing had been changed so I went downstairs and again requested the pillows be changed. A different person stated he would come up and change them since housekeeping was gone. An hour later, as I started itching, I called back down to find out the status and the gentleman told me that he was busy and would get to it when he could. I asked if I could just put them out in the hall and he said yes and that he would come and get them. I woke up the next morning and they were still in the hall. Three other issues: There was a shot light bulb in the hallway that and there was a toilet issue that caused me to flush 3 times before anything would go down...and that was holding down the handle the entire time. Lastly, the hotel was so close to the interstate that it sounded like I was at a speedway. I thought that in the wee hours of the morning it would stop but no. Traffic was heavy all night so while conveniently located it was a terrible location for sleep, which I did not get much of the entire 2 nights I was here. Luckily, the lumps and bumps from the feather contact dissipated rather quickly or the outcome would have been much worse for this location. read more

In the 24 hours we were here I was bitten by bugs (I am assuming they were bedbugs given the shape and size of the bites all over my leg) and it appears a car was stolen from the parking lot. The general manager, who we waited nearly an hour to see, needs a training course in how to deal with customers--she does not appear to have the required temperament. Do yourself a favor. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. My first two days here, my room was not cleaned. I never left a do not disturb sign on my door. They just never came in to clean my room. I had to ask for towels. My friend's room had bed bugs, my other friend's room fan doesn't work in the bathroom, and my other friend had to ask for towels every day because they would not replace hers. I asked for laundry because laundry is listed as one of their accommodations. There's actually NO LAUNDRY included. But they have a laundry mat across the street. It's just about $6-10 to wash your clothes. Super convenient (sarcasm). What's making me write this review is not all those I listed above, it's what I'm about to say. I come back to my room. Bed is made, towels are replaced. I go to sit on my bed, and as I sit on it, it's WET. Why is it wet I wondered... I just got to the room, I shouldn't have made it wet. I put my hand on it. IT'S BLEACH AND IT'S STILL WET! Instead of changing the sheets like a good hotel does. THEY DECIDE IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO SPILL BLEACH ALL OVER THE SHEETS AND LET THE MATTRESS SOAK INTO IT. As if it's not dangerous to sleep in fumes of bleach and it not ruin your black sweat pajamas. I'm not happy and I don't write reviews often. I was then pressed for a credit card (not a debit card for incidentals). I requested incidentals be blocked, the front desk staff told me they could not, at this point I provided the credit card for incidentals ONLY- and confined that my card would only be charged for incidentals. This is the worst Hilton sponsored hotel I have ever stayed in. Yes the rooms looked updated, and the service was normal. It smelled like cigarette smoke, and couldn't get away from the smell of marijuana even though it is a non smoking hotel. There were sketchy looking vans in the parking lot, and outside seemed very dirty. We had to have our keys remade after our first night. While the front desk worker was gone an armed security officer popped her head from around the corner asking to help. Begged us to ask ourselves why does our hotel need an armed guard on duty? Breakfast (covid style) consisted of a dried out bagel, yogurt, 2 eggs floating in some liquid, and a little tangerine. As a female traveling alone, I did not feel safe at this Hampton Inn. I'm a HH member and stay at Hamptons all around the country but this was by far my worst experience. And honestly, I feel bad saying that because its nothing the hotel can help. The staff was great. Lauren checked me in and she did her best to take away any worry I might have about the location. Part of the issue is that I didn't arrive at the hotel until past dark after driving in from out of town. I drove through the sketchiest area in the five miles surrounding the hotel (with my gas light on!). My GPS says "five minutes away....four....three" and I'm starting the get worried as the area doesn't seem to get any safer. Then, I see my hotel in the distance. Horray! Until I look to my left and see a giant strip club right across from the hotel. I know that lots of women aren't bothered by that, but it made me a little unsettled. When I pulled up I parked right in front of the sign that basically says take all of your valuables inside and Hilton isn't responsible if anything gets stolen. By the way have I mentioned I've been living out of my car so MY WHOLE WORLD is in my car? When I went inside and got my room keys it turns out I'm on the first floor, again contributing to a sleepless night. If this is your last resort, I would stay here, but if you have other options in Milwaukee I would check those out. I'm still a Hilton loyal but I will never return to this particular Hampton inn. read more

Not in a great neighborhood. The windows are paper thin, which lets in all the road noise from the highway. Additionally, they allow semi drivers to leave their trucks idling in the parking lot all night, so that makes sleeping fun. But at least after a night of waking up multiple times I'd be able to wake up and take a hot shower, right? Nope, more like a lukewarm shower because, as told by the staff, "that's when everyone showers." I really wanted to give this hotel a better rating. Clearly there has been a renovation recently, so the rooms are clean, the furniture is new, and the room I was in definitely met what I would consider the standard for a Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, the hotel suffers dramatically because of its location. Right across the street from the hotel is one of the busiest strip clubs in Milwaukee. That, in and of itself, is not a problem for me. The problem is that it appears every douche bag with a souped-up Harley in the greater Milwaukee area goes this strip club, and they all seem to think they are part a contest to show off who's exhaust pipes are the loudest. Fueled by a combination of topless women and liquor, these idiots drive up and down the street outside the hotel, revving their engines until their pipes growl in the 60-80 db range, blasting right into the hotel rooms. This remarkable display of immature and inconsiderate behavior on the part of the strip club customers makes it nearly impossible to get any sleep until the bar closes. The noise was so loud that my SO heard it over my cell while I was in my room and she asked why I was staying so close to the airport. For a point of reference, the Milwaukee airport is about 20 miles away... If this hotel were located in a different neighborhood, I would have no problem giving it four stars. The hotel staff is remarkably friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the room that I was in certainly met the Hampton Inn standard. Unfortunately, the childish behavior of the strip club customers across the street makes this one hotel I will probably not visit again. read more

The good: it's on Lover's Lane. The imaginary soundtrack that plays in my head just dropped a phat beat that sounds suspiciously like "nts nts nts". These comfy beds were made for dancing (or jumping if you're my kids, and no, I didn't let them jump but that didn't stop them from trying to get away with it). The bad: it smells like stale cigarette smoke and even though they spray stuff in the air to make everything smell freshly laundered, and it has obviously been renovated to be consistent with the rest of the Hampton brand, something is just, I don't know, off. It isn't like the other Hampton Inns I've stayed in. Our room felt cramped and jam packed with furniture that was too big for the space, which probably wasn't helped by the fact that we had to set up a pack and play in the corner (not Hampton's fault I know), but still, it made getting situated a little more stressful than it needed to be. The funny: there is both a comedy club *and* a strip club across the street. So convenient, right?!? No matter how you get your jollies, by golly, it's nice to have options. If we weren't traveling with the munchkins I'd maybe drag my husband across the street to inspect the offerings. As far as their costumer service goes, A+. The manager I spoke with at booking, andy, was super nice and friendly. He was able to save me some major dough when I was booking, and who doesn't like to save money?! After driving from Chicago, we showed up to check in and the staff checking us in was super nice and friendly. I know this is not a four or five star hotel and I wasn't expecting it to be, the lobby was nice, but the rooms were super dated. Don't get me wrong, the room seemed clean, but it looked like it hadn't been updated in a while. As people have stated before me, there was definitely a lingering smell of smoke, but that's probably because the rooms haven't been updated since I was born. Unfortunately, even though people probably smoked in those rooms in years, cigarette smoke sticks to things like carpets, wallpaper and curtains years after, so that's why I attribute it to. The beds were not the most comfortable, and not really what I expect from a hampton inn. Although, I did appreciate the white sheets/while comforter. People complained about the walls being super thin, but I honestly did not hear anything. I liked the pool and especially loved that there is an "adults only" hour. If they hotel gets updated (which I hear it is), I would consider going back. read more

I read reviews of the place after I had made my reservations. I was scared ...extremely scared.. Have checked in here a few times now and I can assure you its not bad as it reads. Here is my breakdown. The Hotel seems to have had some sort of makeover in the last couple of years. The rooms are business like, no fluff. I have had a room facing US-45 and slept through like a baby, but for those who cannot they do offer ear plugs!! Never used them. The bathrooms are in desperate need of some TLC. The front staff are professional and extremely friendly. They have genuine smiles. Have called front desk for a couple of issues and were promptly addressed. They have a decent no frills breakfast. The Strip Club concerns a lot of people. Yes, it is strange especially when you get a room from where you see the screaming neon sign, but it is across a wide freaking road. Its not like you are getting lap dances in the Hampton parking lot, so grow up. The Strip Club is joint to the hip to a Comedy Club. You have to see the humor there! The Harley Davidson dealership is a neighbor too. This must be the raciest H-D Dealership, so enjoy the view! read more

Had to spend three nights without toilet in room and refused to change rooms. The tank broke and they charged me $275 to fix a 1988 Crane tank, saying I got a deal. I've had to ask for replacement towels and toilet paper. They don't vacuum the rooms or hotel hallways. The gym is small and one of the treadmills is broken right now. There is NO onsite laundry room. There is laundry matt across parking lot that is not cheap, but they do have drop off service. My friend sharing the hotel right now said he saw two bedbugs on his bed. He is hoping to switch rooms. I have not seen them in my room but I would not be surprised if they are around. I have not dated tried the pool or hot tub with the service the provide to the rooms. Spend your cash somewhere else. There is nothing nice around the hotel either. read more

I stayed here in late July, and the hotel itself was fine. When we got to the hotel, we were able to get an early check-in, so that part I liked. The public restrooms were out of order. Also, they were cleaning the pool the whole time we were there. About every 45 minutes, we would ask a staff member if the pool would be open, and they kept saying that it would be open soon, but the pool never did open. We got really upset by this, because we chose this hotel specifically for the pool. A little tip for the hotel, don't do maintenance on the pool when the hotel is sold out on a weekend. read more

Checked into room 328 last night and noticed a bug on the headboard and after seeing and examining it. It definitely was a bed bug. So then I start to check everything at this point saw nothing at first but then we pulled the mattress from the wall and there were a bunch of bed bugs. From what I've read bed bugs aren't normally visible until they have have been feeding (sucking blood) and these things were huge. Being a rewards member I can definitely say I will never return to this location and in future before I stay I would only safe if I can examine my room. read more
