Absolutely gorgeous Hotel! Even though we did not stay there, we were going there strictly for dinner after an event that we attended from across the street. My sister had made a reservation for her and I and they sat us at a table so that we were able to get an amazing view of downtown Milwaukee. Each of us ordered beverage. Our waitress was absolutely very knowledgeable at different food choice items that they had are appetizer was delicious. It was a goat cheese with like a tomato marmalade. My sister ordered an entrée of a steak with three different sauces one of them being a chimichurri. Cooked to perfection! I ordered the beef short ribs with glazed carrots oh my gosh, the beef short rib was cooked to perfection. It was so fall off the fork tender. And then they had like these crispy potato gratin that were absolutely delicious. We then proceeded to go downstairs from the restaurant and they had a delightful musician playing on the piano as well as the guitar. He was really good. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for making our evening so delightful.

Chic, fun, an art lover's delight! I wasn't a Hotel guest...this time, but will definitely stay here on my next overnight in Milwaukee! I walked in to grab a slice next door before a show and discovered this chic boutique hotel in the arts district near the river walk, directly across from the Marcus Performing Arts Center. The artsy lounge has a large wraparound bar with intimate and larger group seating areas with velvety colorful sofas and chairs, live music and large windows with city views. A friendly cocktail server immediately stopped over to ask if I needed anything and I appreciated the prompt, friendly service and great selection of cocktails and bar food available. To my surprise there was a fabulous art gallery just behind me! This was the best surprise of the evening and I will definitely go back soon!

I have dined at Saint Kate, and even stayed a few nights in their beautiful rooms over the years, but recently was first time enjoying the lobby morning hours! It's honestly stunning and so welcoming, filled with (you guessed it) beautiful art. Love all the decor and furniture, the ceilings are sky high, and they have various levels with different seating options. I popped in to grab a coffee and get some work done before heading by to a meeting. The main bar there is heavily equipped with all things cocktails and beer, which they do very well I might add. In the mornings however, they also serve coffee drinks. I went for a latte and was pleased they had so many milk options to choose from. I thought the drink was pretty tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed hanging out for few hours at a comfy spot in a beautiful atmosphere.

We had an amazing time having a glass of wine and snack before the nutcracker at St Kate's! Our service was so friendly and you can't beat the vibes and people watching at st Kate's. The food was so delicious - we are still talking about how good the Wisconsin burrata was. It came with this tomato jam that was to die for! It does get busy so try to come early if you want a good spot!

The coolest hotel we have ever stayed in! Saint Kate is unlike any other hotel. You walk in and can immediately see into the art galleries on the lower floor. Upon check in, the staff offered us champagne, however, since I let them know I can't drink, they offered us champagne-flavored gummy bears instead! Right by check in, there's a table full of records. The staff let us know we were free to grab any we'd like to take to our room as each room had a record player! Upon entering, we saw the room was very nicely kept, modern and spacious. There was the record player that was nice to have music in the room and they even had colored pencils and drawing paper! Throughout the hotel, there were other restaurants and the art on display. We had fun exploring and seeing all the artwork. At night, the hotel becomes very lively with a lot of people coming in for the bar. The hotel is also in a great location. We loved our stay and would def come back!

Beautiful place to stay! Everything was amazing, from the room to the staff. A lot of very unique art throughout, with a comfortable vibe. The lobby bar was super. Good drinks and service. We will definitely be back.

Wow! Amazing hotel from the moment you step in the lobby! My husband went to check in and was offered a glass of champagne! The bar area is an obvious hot spot, with a great live band (it was Saturday). Each room is decorated by local artists. To boot, they have a record player, several albums (& more you can get at the front desk) and a ukulele with playing instructions in each room! Also in the lobby is a resident artist and several art gallery's. I was overwhelmed at each turn you could see how carefully and thoughtfully each inch of this place is and how dedicated they are to the art scene in Milwaukee (I never knew!). Would definitely stay here again and would love other hotels to visit and replicate in their town!

If you are an arts lover then this is the hotel for you (even if you don't love art, but love beautiful things). These are some of the things that make this hotel special: * Champagne upon arrival * A record player in your room * A record library at the front desk * An art museum and numerous art galleries in the hotel * Music in the lobby in the evening * Comfortable beds * A restaurant that serves such delicious food This hotel is in such a great location! You can walk to the theatre, lakefront, Third Ward, riverwalk and downtown areas. We did not rent a car and were able to walk everywhere (except for one tiki bar).

ChatGPT actually recommended this hotel and it was a great choice. Aside from it being a bit pricey, it was a really nice experience. When we arrived on a Friday night, check-in was smooth and easy. Good customer service. It was nice that there was live music on the main floor, so we didn't need to leave for entertainment that evening. The hotel also has an art gallery, bar, restaurant options and a gym. There are in/out privileges for parking and a discount for customers staying at the hotel. The rooms are really nice and contemporary. Love the separate living room/lounge area and the record player that are available when you enter the room. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Friends recommended the St. Kate Hotel to us so we decided to stay here and check it out while we were in Milwaukee. What a great hotel! Classy all the way! We arrived earlier than we could check in so they held our luggage for us while we walked around exploring Milwaukee. When we got back and checked in, they had champagne for us at the front desk! And you can have more than one..... so we got to our room and it was uniquely decorated, so cute! There were lots of cute things all over the hotel. We tried out one of the hotel restaurants for dessert and a drink and the staff were wonderful! We utilized the workout facilities and they were top notch! Lots of great equipment and really clean!! There were coffee machines at each floor as soon as you got off the elevators, how awesome is that??? I can't say enough good things, check this place out if you are in Milwaukee, it's fantastic and centrally located, with excellent staff. You won't be disappointed!

    Even the bathrooms are cool!

From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.

While the room was okay for the most part, there was a persistent vomit-like odor near the bed that wasn't resolved despite my request for cleaning. As a result, I had to sleep on the couch on the opposite side of the room and my work schedule made it inconvenient to request a new one. The bathroom was missing some basic amenities such as a soap dish, so I had to leave the bar soap on the counter. The shower's strong water pressure was really nice compared to the flow-restricted showers commonly found in California hotels. The staff experience was mixed. The night reception gentleman (working Monday through Thursday) provided outstanding customer service for his consistently warm and energetic greetings every time I passed. The night valet Martin also deserves special recognition for his outstanding service, sprinting to retrieve my car and showing remarkable attention to detail by noticing my night work schedule and trying to proactively have my car ready. However, the daytime valet service was disappointing. Two valets would unnecessarily retrieve my car together (Maybe one was shadowing the other). During these retrievals, one valet would sit on my belongings in the passenger seat (this happened multiple days). I later discovered after leaving Milwaukee that she damaged my glasses. Given the short distance to the garage, this practice seems unnecessary and showed a lack of respect for guest property. If they noticed stuff on the seat, they could've just walked back. For future improvement, I would suggest better attention to guests' personal belongings and a review of valet procedures.
