Very cool place to stay in Milwaukee - especially if you're a beer nerd - even if you don't drink PBR on the regular. The historic building is beautiful, the old brew kettles are a fun touch, the decor is minimalist but upscale, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The immediate area around the hotel has a few things to walk to (including a great craft brewery). I wouldn't necessarily call it "easily" walkable to the main downtown area, but it's a short trip by car or bike. The service at the front desk was very friendly. We would stay here again.

This is such a beautiful boutique hotel. This former brewery was renovated and turned into the inn. The variety of unique rooms are what i love the most. The staff was also great and accommodating to our needs. It's attached to a bar/restaurant and has valet parking. Additionally they offer breakfast in the mornings for guests starting at 7am.

We had an incredible experience touring the brewhouse Inn and suites. Such a unique venue in Milwaukee. The rooms are beautiful, amazing and historic. The copper bats and the historic staircase alone are worth a visit. A great location if you need to find a place to stay in Milwaukee, that is centrally located. Close to downtown, freeways, and the suburbs.

Boutique hotel that used to be the Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery. We opted for valet parking for convenience. We had a king studio suite which was ABSOLUTELY comfortable! Dinner at On Tap... the on-site restaurant.... was fun, casual, pub vibes. Good beer (duh)!

Pabst is truly iconic. This remarkable retired distillery has been beautifully transformed into an inn and brewhouse. Everywhere you look, there's a piece of history. The suites are stunning, with a super cool industrial vibe. The service was excellent, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. Be sure to take a walk outside and explore the amazing Pabst history! While you're in Milwaukee, don't miss the chance to delve into the city's rich history. From the Milwaukee Public Museum to the Historic Third Ward, there's so much to discover. The city's vibrant past is reflected in its architecture, museums, and cultural landmarks, making it a perfect destination for history enthusiasts. And of course brew lovers :)

While I have not had a stay in the hotel, I got to do an in-depth tour and see inside this beautiful hotel. I seriously had no idea we had such a hidden gem in Milwaukee. Each room is distinct, and many of the rooms I saw had beautiful views of Milwaukee. It's a gorgeous blend of new and old, rustic and comfortable. I'm kinda sad that I live less than 20 minutes from here, so don't really need to stay here lol. I really don't have much more to say, since I only toured and didn't actually stay here. My photos don't really do justice, but sharing anyway.

One of the prettiest hotels in the Milwaukee area. We really enjoyed the location. Close to the Pabst tour, Fiserv, and restaurants/bars. We enjoyed exploring the hotel while we sipped our complimentary "welcome beers." Valet is fairly steep ($40) and so was the room ($260) but we were splurging for my bday weekend. It's also nice to be able to grab a drink and app while you watch the game at the attached restaurant - On Tap. Removing a star because a few items in our room were broken and I thought the lighting in our room was way too dark, but we still enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend to others!

One of the most interesting hotels you'll stay at...the building was part of the Pabst Brewing campus! They worked out to remodel and and build out a full hotel inside, they even kept some of the old fermentation tanks as part of the decor! Well done1 PROS -HUGE GIGANTIC ROOMS! It's an entire separate bedroom, kitchenette, and living room. Clean, modern, chic. -Premises were also clean and chic. -Kitchenette clean and well stocked. -Friendly service all around. Staff happily updated our reservation from 1 bed 1 fold out sofa bed room to a 2 queen beds room, which ended being $50 cheaper a night(it was my and a guy friend, not my wife!). Price went from $480 for nights to $388 for nights, thank you!!! -On Tap attached restaurant/bar is pretty good if you're feeling lazy. -Walking distance Clear Waters Brewing, Best Place Pabst Brewery Tour and Bar, Pilot Project Brewing...all great spots CONS -Not located closer to the downtown area, but a $8-12 Uber/Lyft ride.

If you are looking for a hotel with history and character the Brewhouse Inn and Suites is for you. It's located in the original Pabst Brewery and the way they have remodeled it to a hotel is so orginal. It still has brewery vibes which is cool. The staff was friendly at check in and check out. The lobby was clean and simply decorated. The room I stayed in was a suite. It was spacious with a kitchenette, living room, bathroom and bedroom. Everything was clean upon my arrival and I loved every minute of my stay.

I went to the Yelp Beer Scavenger Hunt event that happened this past Wednesday and got to explore the whole hotel. This was such a wonderful event and a great way to see parts of the hotel that I have never seen before. I have stayed here once in the past for an anniversary getaway and it was truly amazing and a beautiful space. The staff there is wonderful and super kind as well!

The Brewhouse and Beer hunt event was such a great night out. We walked down 10th Street & we were greeted by the Weiner Mobile parked out front. Walking into the historic old Pabst brewery was magical from the copper ceilings, grand lobby, chandelier, and welcoming staff. The ambiance is truly Milwaukee and beautiful. During the scavenger hunt, we got to explore many hotel rooms/options and the mezzanine. My favorite two rooms were the Loft and the two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a game table and bar. All the local beers were fun to taste and try a sample of each and talk to local representatives. Our fav beers were the 1840 fest and pb/jelly, very unique. We saved the nostalgic PBR for last, the classic. Dinner was at the pub next door, and I can't say enough about the PBR breaded cheese curds. The restaurant couldn't keep up with the demand. The sliders were delish, too, and had many toppings to choose from. I would love a stay-cation at the hotel in one of the beautiful rooms and would recommend both spots to locals & tourists. PBR me anytime! Cheers

Did a tour of the hotel--including several rooms. First, it was gorgeous. The refresh they did was such a quality job. They highlighted the history, while ensuring it has modern conveniences and a high clean feel. The rooms are amazing. Each has high quality appliances and a great kitchen space and bathrooms. The furniture and other furnishings are also giving the whole space an elegant feel. The best part, however, is how the room is retrofitted. Each is unique and has some quirky charm. That awesome feature is, actually, the only real downside. Some rooms are better than others. I'm not suggesting there are "bad" rooms. Rather, it could be quite easy to get buyer's remorse. You get a nice two-bedroom and the notice when you're onsite that for the same price you could have gotten some whose decorations or layout suits your fancy more. First World Problem, to be sure, but it means it's worth calling the desk and chatting with someone onsite who knows the space when you make your reservation. Tell them your preference and see if they can find a perfect match. Regardless of your room, the general space is incredible. I went with people who aren't history buffs--and even they got drawn into the historic nature of the space.

Great place to stay. Clean and quiet. The on tap next door has good food and there is a shuttle to the brewers games.

From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.

While the room was okay for the most part, there was a persistent vomit-like odor near the bed that wasn't resolved despite my request for cleaning. As a result, I had to sleep on the couch on the opposite side of the room and my work schedule made it inconvenient to request a new one. The bathroom was missing some basic amenities such as a soap dish, so I had to leave the bar soap on the counter. The shower's strong water pressure was really nice compared to the flow-restricted showers commonly found in California hotels. The staff experience was mixed. The night reception gentleman (working Monday through Thursday) provided outstanding customer service for his consistently warm and energetic greetings every time I passed. The night valet Martin also deserves special recognition for his outstanding service, sprinting to retrieve my car and showing remarkable attention to detail by noticing my night work schedule and trying to proactively have my car ready. However, the daytime valet service was disappointing. Two valets would unnecessarily retrieve my car together (Maybe one was shadowing the other). During these retrievals, one valet would sit on my belongings in the passenger seat (this happened multiple days). I later discovered after leaving Milwaukee that she damaged my glasses. Given the short distance to the garage, this practice seems unnecessary and showed a lack of respect for guest property. If they noticed stuff on the seat, they could've just walked back. For future improvement, I would suggest better attention to guests' personal belongings and a review of valet procedures.
