7/19/25 We stayed one night at Hampton Inn by Hilton Youngstown-West I-80 as this was about half-way point between NYC and Chicago. It was just a rest stop for us. This hotel was clean and quiet. There were several restaurants around the hotel in walking distance. We had room 301, which was at the far end of the building. Oddly the main entrance is at 1 end of the building, most hotel is in the middleish. If you have issues walking, I suggest asking for a room closer to the elevator. Our king room was huge! It felt like there was a missed opportunity as this would have been a spacious double queen room. Bathroom was at the far end of the room, which was only a little problematic when you really have to go! LOL The coat hangar on the wall is genius for rainy days or even colder weather. The only thing that puzzled us was the lack of dresser/drawer space... Microwave in the middle, fridge on the left, what is that door on the right? We opened it and it was 3 baskets. Was this our dresser/drawer space? Odd... But since we were only staying 1 night we didn't need to use this... Pool but no hot tub, tiny gym, and 1 computer and printer in the business center. Breakfast was included and it was standard hotel fare. We would definitely stay here again, if we do another long road trip. read more

Hotel guest room 219! We came in for a wedding event. Check-in wasn't as quick as we wanted. Due to our reservation and system confusion. After a few walking back to ask the manager, phone call & etc. we were able to get our keys. Location is right off the highway. A few restaurants within walking distance. Continental Breakfast average expectations of selection. Our room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Guest services was great even got a late checkout to accommodate our car reservation to the airport. read more

This was a last minute stay while driving cross country. We were tied and I'm an HH member so we chose the closest hotel. Thankfully they had rooms available. Front desk staff were very friendly despite the late hour! Got us checked in and into our room very expeditiously! Two queen beds were all that were left but hey we were tired! Beds were very comfortable, bedding was nice and thick. AC worked well and was not noisy. Even though this hotel is on 80 we did not hear the road noise others have talked about - could be that we were away from the road and very tired. Breakfast runs from 0630-1000 which is longer than most places and it was well stocked and satisfying. read more

I've been a Hilton Honors member for 15 years, and have stayed at this location many times during business trips over the past 10 years. This hotel is worn, and dirty in many areas of the facility. It certainly does not deserve the ratings it's been given, and I suspect that many ratings are fake. read more

VERY unclean & unsanitary. I am most certain the room was not cleaned prior to our check in. The bed was not tidy & didn't look freshly made. The bathroom had long black hair EVERYWHERE & cracked tiles, also definitely not cleaned prior to our checkin, very unsanitary. Also very noisy location, but quite honestly, that was the least of my worries. We had just traveled 10 hours from NH, thought it would be a convenient stopping point right off the highway & get an early start in the morning. I expected clean & convenient. I still think about this dreadful experience. Never again Hampton Inn. Hilton would be ashamed. read more

This is a great Hampton Inn location (A Hilton Property) that I enjoyed staying at for 4 nights. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Free WiFi, free parking and free breakfast. The breakfast is one of the best spreads I've encountered at a hotel with this rating and price points. It changes everyday and the selection is wonderful. Plenty of grab-n-go options too if you're in a hurry. If I'm ever back in this area THIS Hampton Inn is where I'll be staying! Highly recommended. read more

I prefer the Hampton brand when travelling, especially with family, and this one was familiarly good but not great. The check-in was super friendly, and they set up a pack and play for us on short notice. The room was fine, though the facility is smallish. However, breakfast was as good as usual, if not better. They've added some smoothies and fancy juices to their lineup, like green mango and berry power and such. Plus there is the usual array of dry cereal, oatmeal, hot food (on this day, cheese omelettes, breakfast potatoes, and turkey sausage links), yogurt, breads, pastries, fresh fruit, the waffle machine, et al et al. + Lovely photographs (of local sites?) on the room walls + Chocolate chip cookies during check-in + Very convenient to I-80 read more

This hotel room Was so gross and dirty, we are driving x country and didn't have the energy to pack up and leave. The carpet was damp, the whole room felt damp.. the bathroom had black mold on the tub and when my husband took a shower and then walked on the carpet his feet were filthy. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a short comfortable stay in the Youngstown area. Check out my 1 star review on where not to stay... The employees here alone give this place a 5 star review. When my family and I arrived at the hotel at around 11:30pm the gentleman that was manning the front desk during the night shift was legit cleaning room keys! Something I've heard of hotels doing after COVID but never had actually seen. He was happy, joking, and made us feel welcome. He gave us 2 choices of rooms so that we would be happy with the layout. When we entered the room it was night and day from the trashy Holiday Express from down the road. The room smelled fine, the amenities were clean, and believe it or not, the TV worked! Brought the kids down to the breakfast in the morning which was fully stocked and pretty yummy - I'm a sucker for blueberry Belgian waffles so it was easy to convince me it was good. While my wife was getting ready I brought my kids down to the indoor pool. It was clean and had enough seating to be comfortable for a couple of hours. The ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful when I needed anything too. They also complimented us on how we looked when we were heading out to the wedding :) This hotel is within walking distance to Perkins, Cracker Barrell, Quaker Steak and Lube, and an establishment I would recommend is the Biker Brewhouse attached to the Harley Davidson store - great beer, service, and food! Could have been worse. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Wonderfully pet friendly. However, the bathroom sink did not drain. The front desk provided a plunger and a discount but the the clog, though smelly and gross could not be removed. We moved to a remaining room and finished the night. Hallway noise and banging doors meant an early morning and the hot water turned out to run have cold spells. Maybe the trick is to not bring a pet so one can stay on an upper floor. read more

My son and I stayed for a week. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and the snack shop was stocked up with lots of goodies. The room was super clean and smelled new. They had a your typical complimentary breakfast every morning from 6am to 10am. The housekeeping crew did a great job and was professional. After a terrible experience at the Washington Hilton, it was nice to get back to a Hampton. Strangely enough, though Hampton is a lower-echelon brand of Hilton Worldwide, it is almost always good. This hotel is no exception. The room has a refrigerator and a microwave. It is clean. They even provided earplugs in case the sound of the nearby highway was too much for us. There's free wi-fi in the room. There was even a nice, handwritten note from the maid who cleaned our room. The flagship Washington Hilton property could learn a lot from this humble Hampton in Youngstown. read more

The staff was very friendly, and we were staying only two nights, but I give it 3 stars as they never came by to clean our room. I don't mind that they don't change towels and such, but an empty dustbin would have been really nice! I hate that for the entire duration of my stay out dustbin was overflowing from the take out food containers that we had eaten. Since we were here only to sleep and as it's close by the highway, this place seems to be more of a rest-stop motel with a rather odd entrance that you have to drive past another hotel to get to it. In lieu of that and other factors such as i expect most people think they will never see their guests again, i can understand why they would do such a bad job of servicing our rooms. Still, it was a pity, as this is the first Hampton Inn i have been disappointed by! read more

So this Hampton Inn is pretty nice - the newly renovated rooms are really nice. They had a nice bathroom with a big sink as well as a big walk-in shower with sliding doors. The room was very clean - with a big comfy bed and a large refrigerator in the room. It's located in an industrial truck-stop like park area with the standard crap food joints (Wendy's, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Cracker Barrel). There is a casino nearby. The only real gripe I have about the place is that it's hard to find - the road isn't very clearly marked - it's very dark at night and you can't see where to turn and you have to turn down some bumpy poorly paved and partially graveled side road leading to another hotel to get to the Hampton Inn. It's nice when you actually get to it - but if you are arriving later at night - like we did - then this is a bit of an adventure. We turned around 2x before we actually made it. Annoying after a long day to be sure. read more

We had a terrific stay at this Hampton Inn! Being Hilton Honors gold members, we stay at our fair share of Hilton properties when we travel and this one is a gem. This hotel is newly-renovated with very attractive, modern finishes and furnishings. Jami Kather was a huge help to us! Her pleasant attitude was smile worthy. Although we did not use it, there is an inviting indoor pool. The breakfast buffet includes a Belgian waffle maker to make one's own PERFECT waffles. MMMmmmm. Fluffy scrambled eggs, & fresh fruit are also available, plus Yogurt, & oatmeal, beverages, infused water. SO GOOD. Beds & pillows are comfy, providing excellent sleep. Exquisite linens deliver the best in comfort. Nice hot shower/tub combo. We were close to I-80 so there was a bit of highway noise, rooms on the other side might be quieter. This is one of the best hotels in the area. Not a lot of frills,but they have clean remodeled rooms, quiet, quick check-in, friendly staff, free wifi, and a decent breakfast. This location is close to restaurants, freeways and a Starbucks. That works for me. read more

Came in late at night. Though hotel is tuck behind a best a Best Western and there was a lack of signage. We found the rather clean comfortable location. Room had refrigerator and microwave. Very comfortable bed and linens. We loved the quick coffee station on the way out in the morning. read more

Our family of four stayed here last night. Dina was a great help when we checked in. The hotel was very clean. The room temperature adjusted very quickly and was set to a nice warm temperature when we arrived. The complementary breakfast was great with a variety of choices for people of all ages. (Excellent value for the location and price point.) We stayed in a freshly remodelled room and were very pleased with the new design. They've upgraded the bedding to the new Hilton standard (very comfy). The room featured a nicely configured bathroom with ample, raised storage on a wooden built-in. The room was large with decent storage, including a low dresser ideal for placing a suitcase on top. Room featured a microwave and fridge. Several dining options within walking distance, nothing of personal interest though. Next roadtrip on I-80, I'd stay here again. read more

Shares driveway with Best Western) Within brief walking distance of several restaurants and fast food places. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are standard Hampton. King bed rooms have showers, queen rooms have tubs. Good size dining area. Have fruit out for munching. Also have low cost snacks/beverages near front desk. Have extensive cable TV channels. Small indoor pool/exercise room. Offer extra nice hot/cold complimentary breakfast. There is a Casino about half mile up the street on the left. read more

Everything about the hotel was great. Cleanliness, quality of bedding, public space were all above what I normally see. It looks like they even had a cocktail reception earlier. What was weird, was in our 3rd floor room, there was a pronounced slope in the floor. It was almost a ramp up to the door. If it was just in the entry, I would have left it at that. But, it continued into the bathroom. While standing at the vanity, you were on an actual incline. I would guess it continues into the adjoining rooms. I happened to have an angle finder in the car. I know, you are saying, "who travels with an angle finder?" The slope was 8 degrees. That's a lot on what should be a level floor. This is all covered up with tile and carpet. I'd be concerned about the structural integrity of the entire south side of this building. read more

He didn't crack a smile and was dismissive rather than friendly. I got yelled at during breakfast by one the employees. On the other hand, the housekeeping lady was very friendly. Lovely stay overnight during a road trip. Have stayed in Hampton Inns before, and actively look for them, knowing a certain level of quality is guaranteed with the Hampton Inn name. Was not disappointed here. Clean room, lots of towels and shampoo/conditioner. Fast check in and check out. Good place to crash just off the highway. Love that Hampton includes breakfast in the room's rate. A simple spread, but enough for traveling families. Pool and fitness centre were clean and towels provided. Internet connected fast and worked well. Only potential issue - this hotel is popular amongst large tour groups and athletic teams, which can make the hallways noisy and result in a rush on breakfast when the whole group is getting ready to go. Still, I wouldn't stay away from a Hampton Inn just because of a large group. You're still going to have a better night here than at some other options. read more

I just spent 5 weeks here for work! I felt at home from the moment I arrived. Housekeeping was very accommodating with the crazy hours I works (6:30pm to 7:00am, 7 days a week). Michelle and/or Kaci would arrive early to take care of my room!!! Thank you!!! The front desk staff...Kim, Dena, Janet, Dana, Randy, Jamie and new comer, Linda were always pleasant. Tina, the breakfast lady, was incredible. Ben (maintenance) quickly resolved a minor issue in my room. Beds were very comfortable!! Thank you, all of you, for making my stay great!! The only nice thing I can say is the rooms are very clean and nice. Exactly what we were looking for. I'd give the rooms 4 stars if I could. FRAUD ALERT!!!! By far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. We stayed here for one night that we payed in full all the way back in January. When we arrived to stay for our ONE night in APRIL, they had charged my credit card over $1,000 with out my authorization. The next day when I had noticed I called to let them know and I asked to speak to the manager. He informed me he was the manager on duty. He refused to refund me my $. Take in mind when you walk into the hotel, sitting right on the check in counter it clearly states: "Satisfaction guarantee or your stay is free". After about 20 minuets with the "manager" calling me names and talking to me like I was a piece of nothing, telling me he told me he would only refund $400 and the rest was not going to be refunded. He told me many times how my satisfaction did not matter since i stayed the night before and I was no longer a guest staying at the hotel so the satisfaction guarantee did not apply to me. I called corp. and they had me talk to the general manager the next day. His assistant took my call. I had explained to her what had happened and what the "manager" the night before had told me. She had informed me he was not a manager. He was an employee. And they let him get away with that? Who has customer service like that?! She told me she was going to call the credit card company and release the $ back to my card. After speaking to her there was another charge that was charged to my card. So I decided to call my credit card company my self. They informed me that NOONE from the Hampton Inn had ever called them and there was no record of it at all. I had to take care of the issue my self! $1,050 is a lot of money for someone to just charge to your card with out you knowing about or agreeing to! My husband and I have been in the customer service industry for over 7 years. The least they could have done was made sure we were happy and taken care of because of their HUGE mistake and offered us a stay in our future. Needless to say, we will NEVER stay with the Hampton Inn again and will be taking our business else where. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARDS IF YOU STAY HERE FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES!!!!!! read more
