This is an update to my May 2, 2024 Review: At length, about six months after HMS sold my Kymco scooter, I finally heard back from the business: a settlement check - with a letter of apology for the failure to notify me of the sale, and my share of the proceeds. My share was about 25% of the proceeds from the sale. I regarded the settlement as perfectly unfair, and returned the check to HMS - with a letter that detailed my complaint. Again, months passed - awaiting any response. At length, HMS readily agreed to a revised settlement. Yet again, months elapsed until I received a new settlement check - with another letter of profuse apology for the delay. None of this would have occurred without my persistent effort to contact HMS - for information updates regarding the sale of the scooter. My year of contact with HMS leaves the impression of business practice that is almost unimaginably scattered and disorganized. I do not know why HMS appears to be so overwhelmed with routine business tasks. Still, I do not believe that HMS is engaged in any kind of deceptive business practice. Let's hope matters will improve at HMS. Meanwhile, customers would do well to expect the unexpected. read more

I bought a preowned 2012 vespa 300cc last April, and it's a great machine! The Hampton MotorSports team were super helpful and patient with me, as I wasn't sure if i wanted to go pre-owned or grab a brand new vespa. They're the only place to go in the hamptons to order motorcycle/dirtbike parts. The customer service is great and they're very helpful when trying to get parts and or fluids for your bike or scooter or quad. The owner Robin knows a lot about bikes and Scooters and helps to diagnose problems that you may have with your machine. They also give great deals on parts, you can find everything there for the same price as it is online if not cheaper. I read another review saying how they don't tell you pickup dates and that they have computer problems. The day you drop off your bike or scooter then generally tell you how long it takes and feel free to show up and ask if it's done if they don't call you. The other thing is that they do actually have computer problems so they weren't lying about that. I've been looking at a parts schematic when the computer randomly shut down and the man at the front desk said it happens 4-5 times a day. This store is an excellent place to purchase anything MotorSports related and is an excellent source of Motorsports knowledge. I highly suggest you check it out and shop there. read more

Worst experience of my life! Robin who works the front desk is so rude and condescending. I will never return to this place and will continue to tell everyone I know about how awful of an experience it has was. I took my scooter in for repairs in the Middle of July and they didn't call me with an estimate for a month! (fine it's summer, i didn't need it and understand it's busy in the summer) Robin took the time to explain everything to me very clearly which I appreciated. I authorized the repairs and continued to patiently wait for a call back telling me it was ready for pick up. They called about 2 months later demanding that I pick up the scooter before they start charging me $15 daily for the storage. I was shocked because I was never notified (called or emailed) that it was ready in the first place and would never just leave it there for that long without arranging pickup. When I told Robin this she denied not having notified me and couldn't even re-send or forward the email she claimed she had sent ("computer issues"). I don't appreciate lies and unorganized businesses who then blame their paying customers for their own mistakes. Overall, this was a terrible experience and an expensive one at that. There has to be better places to take your bikes/scooters out there. Stay away! read more

I bought my scooter from Hampton Motor Sports in 2016, and the team here has made me feel like their only customer ever since. Everyone is so helpful and thoughtful. They've gone out of their way on multiple times when I needed, and always take the extra time to explain what's going on. They're true experts of their craft that can only be surpassed by the level of their hands-on, thoughtful and personal customer service. I couldn't recommend them more. read more

On a blazing hot inferno of a Sunday (July 21st, 2019), with an infant and a two-year old sleeping in the back seat, our SUV's a/c failed us. Baking in Hamptons traffic for 45 min with no rental car companies open & zero mechanics available, we found Robin and Erin's store. We arrived as they were about to close up shop for the day, but they took us in & stayed with us for 90 min while we cooled down/fed our children, and while we made arrangements with a local motel to ride out the heat wave into the evening. They gave us cold bottles of water, cool towels, activities to keep our older son occupied, and they examined our car's fuses/cooling system. And as critically, they provided comfort. If and when our sons are ready for bikes (or maybe just cool helmets & gloves!), we will be seeing them again. Some of the most caring and generous ppl we've ever met. Thank you. read more

not accommodating. left two motor vehicles for repair and was unable to pay right away for the expensive repairs. after some time the 'storage' fees became more than the repairs. they were unwilling to discount anything. ended up owing more than the vehicles were worth. they kept them read more
