They wouldn't install new electric fans/heaters in early December and made us wait until mid-January. Once installed, the fans were extremely noisy like an airplane engine! When I asked about this, I was told that it was how those fans are. (In fact, I have others that are much quieter.) Then they installed a new electrical panel, refused to close up the holes they made in our wall, left wires exposed and refused to label the circuit breakers. Not a good experience!!

I haven't heard back from them in over a month after 4 phone calls was going to open bidding for another company to finish up the job? What else would a customer expect to do? Today Ocean electric just rolled up to my house to put a "guy wire" on a pole installed 3 months ago? PSE&G have shown up to the house looking to connect me 3 x with truck crews. Walking away shaking their head. Asking Me to have Ocean electric call them! I told them, they won't even call me! I'd look for another Company on Long Island to do anything of significance. Communication is key when having a job done and this company lacks it. Your never too big to treat your customers right Ocean.

Having worked for 30+ years in the Huntington area I knew of the LONG time store for shades just West of the intersection of #25 & #110 and actually found something that 'worked' but it was a bit too 'modern' for the style of this antique lamp. He did have some very lovely old fashioned shades, w'fringe & embroidery that were very beautiful but a bit too 'much' for my taste! Thinking I wasn't going to find the 'tailored' but 'old fashioned' look I wanted I purchased the shade from the well stocked place @ the top of #110. Since I had looked for other 'lamp shade' places here on Yelp & phoned 'Tomlin' before leaving home, and the man had been so helpful on the phone & it was on the way home I figured I might as well stop there also. I am so glad I did! Perfect shade for my lamp, 'old' looking but not 'boudoir-ish'! I had been unable to find an antique brass satin finish chain & fittings for a found on the curb on trash day 'Tiffany like' chandelier that I had looked high & low to match @ the 'usual' places w'no luck. I mentioned it & low & behold a few trips to the back & he came up w'all the parts I needed! One of the nicest & accommodating store owners I have EVER met! THANK YOU Sir! In this day of 'mass produced', while seemingly ever increasingly cost & uncaring store owners, Tomlin Lighting is a REAL find & a ONE stop store for ALL your lighting needs!
