    Creamy Grits, very delicious... 8/10.

We made reservations and celebrated our daughter's 25th birthday on Saturday night. The music was lively and I really enjoyed it with the dimmed lights. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and made sure our drinks stayed full. All the food we had was yummy and came out piping hot. My daughter ordered the Togarashi Crusted Carolina Grouper which she said was delicious. I had the Grilled Colorado Lamb Rack, which was also very tasty and my husband ordered the Calabrese pizza, which I tried and was very good too. We really enjoy this place and typically come for brunch on Sunday's and this was our first time having dinner there, we will return. Also not pictured, we had the calamari (8/10), artichoke dip (8.3/10) and bread basket (6.5/10). Only complaint, I hated sitting near the bathroom and I expected more lamb on my plate for the price but overall, I give everything an 8/10.

We came for an early lunch and were the only customers. We were greeted by the staff and felt welcome. The restaurant was modern, clean well and very pleasant. We struggled with one of the chairs that was missing a glide and rocked terribly. The host just looked on. We ordered a chicken parmesan panini sandwich and the chicken green curry bowl. The chicken panini had potential. It included chicken, roasted tomatoes, ham, arugula and cheese. It would have been great but the grilled focaccia was a little tough to eat- chewy. It came with a side of House made chipotle chips that were very tasty. The chicken green curry was a pretty plate of food. It tasted great though the curry sauce could have been warmer. It was served with a mango coleslaw (more like a salsa) over coconut rice. It may have been the best tasting item that I've eaten in a restaurant in months.

I think I just had such high hopes for this one. Our server had no knowledge of the menu or cocktails, which was disappointing. I think we could have made smarter decisions if we had someone knowledgeable. We chose to sit in the raffters which is more of a trendy bar area. I ordered dessert first since I follow them on Instagram. It was so disappointing, all the server could tell me about the menu items were they are sweet desserts and they added this sampler. Do not get the dessert sampler! They were all options you could get at a cheap buffet or the frozen food section. The Korean wings and sausage pizza were good.

If you wanna feel like you are eating at a Michelin star restaurant in NYE eat here! The service, the food, the ambiance is off the charts. They allow dogs in the patio seating. Food is always changing, it's so flavorful, bold and unique! I brought my family there as an introduction to Sumter and they were blown away! We spent the weekend at Charleston and the Hamptons was the best food they had during the whole trip. Expect to spend at least $$$. Don't miss out on this diamond restaurant.

Hands down, best food in Sumter. We come here often and have never had a bad meal. In fact, everything I've had has been incredible. Start out with the duck spring rolls, they are phenomenal, you may not want to share. For an entree, the ribeye is cooked perfectly. Or try the Braised short rib-- probably my favorite, the combination of cheese grits with the short rib just melts in your mouth. Do not leave here without having the caramel cake with pecan ice cream. I am not a cake person but this is out of this world good. This place is a perfect date night, very elegant. But their outdoor area is great for large groups.

We came for Sunday brunch. The ambiance was a terrific blend of the historic building with contemporary design elements. We ordered the shrimp & grits, chicken & waffle, and vanilla crepes with sausage. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the sausage. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

My husband, my friends & I love to come here for brunch. It's affordable and great quality food. I like that they change the menu up from time to time! Their chicken and waffles is my fav! My husband got some type of steak and eggs Benedict breakfast bowl - it was amazing!

A Florence standout worth returning to!…read more As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that care about sourcing, seasonality and the entire dining experience. Town Hall checked those boxes for me a couple of years ago, so when work brought me back to Florence, I knew exactly where I wanted to eat. I looked at other options first, but nothing appealed to me at quite the same level. Town Hall's farm-driven, Southern-inspired menu, shareable plates and beautiful setting won me over again. And I'm happy to report: the second visit was every bit as memorable as the first. We started with the house-made cornbread and honey butter at our server's recommendation. Be warned: this stuff is dangerous. Hot, sweet and almost cake-like, with that honey butter melting into it. We promptly ordered another basket. Cocktails were equally impressive. I ordered a Sidecar, and when our server asked my cognac preference, my colleague volunteered Hennessy. Hennessy it was--and it made one spectacular Sidecar. For dinner, our server described a scallop special served over a shrimp étouffée-style preparation with microgreens. Sold. I paired that with the wedge salad because, well, I needed some roughage. The wedge came beautifully dressed with blue cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onion and bacon. The scallops were beautifully seared and tender, and the rich sauce underneath made the dish. My dining companions joined the fun with the house-made sausage, another order of the scallops, and a ribeye with French fries swapped in for the creamed corn--a little steak frites moment. Everything landed beautifully. What impressed me almost as much as the food was the service choreography. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and attentive without hovering. There was thoughtful table touching throughout the evening. Our dishes arrived together, and no plates disappeared while someone else was still eating. Those details may seem small, but polished hospitality lives in those details. We were far too full for dessert, so we called it a night--happy, well-fed and already talking about how good everything had been. Town Hall is the kind of restaurant I hope to find when traveling for work: locally driven, interesting food, strong cocktails, beautiful surroundings and service that understands hospitality. Two visits several years apart, and both delivered. If you're in Florence--or passing through South Carolina on your way toward the coast--Town Hall is worth making part of the trip. Life is too short not to eat well, sleep well, travel well and shop well. Get out there and find your next destination.

I liked the interior layout and that you can watch the chefs prepare entrees while you dine. That alone can be entertaining if you are dining alone. Reminded me of Ted's Montana Grill. Now for the food..., everything came out quickly. We got the deviled eggs, and New Orleans Shrimp as appetizers and the flavors were amazing. I simply had to use the corn bread to dip up the New Orleans sauce after the shrimp were gone, it was had good! After appetizers I didn't want a large meal, so I got the daily scallops special. It was just the right amount. The scallops were grilled just right, and the sauce (the sauce again!) was flavorful with a mild spice kick to it. Blueberry sorbet for dessert, locally made. Will definitely be back when my travels take me back to Florence.
