You can find some solid brands here for amazing deals. I love it mostly for outdoorsy staples like men's quilted flannels, coats, sweatshirts, and occasionally a good pair of women's shoes or boots. Hamrick's is a great place to shop. I can find different styles at afforable prices. As well you can find unusual neat things for the house.

This is a completely heartless company and if a negative score was offered, that is what I would give them. My mother passed on 12/30/2011. She never got to wear or even see the clothes that I purchased for her for Christmas that year because she was in the hospital. When I went to return them, I was told "exchange only." The clothes at Hamrick's are definitely NOT my style so I had no use for an exchange. I went back a second time with her obituary in hand......NOPE.....you can only exchange them, I was told. Oddly, my maiden name and my mother's married name was "Hamrick." I have not set foot in a Hamrick's since then and never will. read more

Two of my friends and I shopped at your store today. My friends were from out of town and managed to get quite a head start on Christmas. While checking out however, our experiences were not so positive or pleasant. The 2 cashiers that checked us out were: Kayla and Julie (Nbs: 608 & 623). They were really rude and not at all helpful. Wow. Where do I even begin. I guess at the entrance of Hamrick's! I came here for the Crocs but I left here with a renewed sense of elevated sense of fashion. This place is a blast from the past. Wow. If you've lost your grandparents or elderly parents, you will find the comfort of Nanas and Papas everywhere. Here are my pros and cons. I'll start with the cons. Just like Bob J, the most impressive yelp critic we know, "I'll describe in detail." Cons: - As you can see from the photo, the "not so secret" shopper discriminately followed me throughout the entire store, even though there were dozens of other shoppers. I feel he targeted me through Age Discrimination. He obviously didn't even hide this fact as he mean mugged me frequently. I am not a thief, nor am I a pauper, but I was treated as such by this mean, mean man. It was offensive and he even watched us walk out after we spent our hard earned money. I was tempted to steal something just to prove that this man was not a good employee. I stared directly back at him several times and I even alerted two cashiers that I felt targeted but they did not address my concern. The store was definitely a mess. I literally could not find one cart that wasn't already abandoned and filled with items. Thankfully, I found a cart with women's apparel in it but when I scanned the area, it obviously didn't belong to anyone so I took this cart and emptied the pajamas and was able to resume my shopping experience. The elderly customers, which was every single person aside from my friend and I, were not friendly. One woman humored us by commenting on our bright clothing choices, although she made assumptions about our gender, which felt again, oppressive. She was kind, but not really. The woman sitting behind the counter just yelled at customers, directing us through a complicated maze to enter the checkout line. The poor elderly people were utterly confused, and so were we and we are young and of sound minds. I am a large but stout man, think George Costanza. They barely had any large sizes and I was left feeling hurt and embarrassed about my weight because of the store's small selections. Pros: The WOWS! Truly, we said, "Wow!" Prices were unimaginable. I second guessed the price signs several times because I was truly in shock. Members only jackets once $100 only twenty dollars. Camo crocs, $20. WOW! Although you really have to dig, there are truly treasures buried beneath the loads of Missy and Modern Missy senior apparel. Also, we were so grateful to have our unique checkout experience with the young, but respectful cashier, Izaac. He was truly a breath of fresh air. He supported us in obtaining a Hamricks discount card. Izaac was quiet and did not speak negatively about his employer, but as the lady behind the counter yelled behind him, we could see in his eyes that he was aware of the ridiculousness of the fellow employees and shoppers. Izaac was a gem of a human and my friend thought he was pretty cute. Get this. You can return any item up to 60 days! I told Izaac I would wear my winter coat for 59 days and come trade it for a new, summer jacket, granted they actually decide to accommodate their larger shoppers. Izaac said, "you'd be surprised." In the end, we walked away with several high quality camo pieces, which felt fashionably hip. We immediately changed into our new digs, and boy were we on cloud nine. The Parking lot was very crowded and filled with obnoxious, slow elderly drivers. We did not notice any smoking employees other shoppers mentioned in the other reviews. I assume they've either died or started vaping. In the end, we had a very fun time at Hamricks. We laughed and were able to be ourselves, feeling young in a sea of pasty white grumps. Even though the "not so secret" shopper harassed us, we still recommend Hamricks for the unbelievable deals. After your shopping experience, enjoy a cigarette in the parking lot and head on over to Cinco de Mayo for wonderful margarita deals and excellent service from funky and hip servers. read more

Wow, i caused quite the kerfluffle when I told the cashier I didnt want a bag. The overseeing manager, the second cashier and the one checking me out acted as if I had asked something obscene. They were very suspicious of my nefarious lack of need for a bag and much conversation ensued around my ignorance and questionable morality.!!!! Gasp!!!! Well, the manager says no bag, no sale, no way no how. What a ridiculous idiotic bunch of selfrighteous churchladies. My advice: born after 1925? you are too young to shop here. read more

Awesome place. It's like going through a time portal to the past. Good old department store. Some prices are crazy high- some are decent. I got a new shirt, some kitchen knives and an essential oil diffuser lol Checkout line takes forever. You'll be eligible for a senior discount by the time you get to the front- gives you time to chuckle at the ridiculous prices of the checkout line stuff. read more

While my experience with Hamricks has mostly been positive I had a problem today with a recently purchased item that I washed. There were no washing instructions on the item and since I am used to washing this type of product I followed my usual course. The product came apart and left residual parts in my machine.....I took the item back with the receipt and was told that since it was not in original condition they would not refund my money. A truly inferior product which they won't stand behind now makes me skeptical about buying in this store. read more

Pack your gas mask or at least take a deep breath and hold it as you approach the sidewalk at the entrance because of the constant customers and employees that are permitted to smoke inches from the entrance. Shopping is hit or miss any given day. Great for elderly women still stuck in a certain era but clothing for a modern woman or under 70 is not going to be found here unless you are dressing up as Beverly from the tv show The Goldberg's. Seasonal stuff however is usually pretty decent in variety, quantity, and cost but not sure how worth it, it is to suffer through the smoking you must endure to enter the store. read more

There are plenty of great deals on women's, men's clothes, shoes, bedding, bathroom, yard decorations, "as seen on TV". Recently, I purchased a pair of Earth Origins shoes for a fraction of the price as advertised on the shopping network. My husband found some great casual wear shirts. If you need work clothes and want to change out every season by saving, this place is for you. Also, 60-day return with receipt, which is very helpful. Super end of the season sales. I have never seen anyone smoking outside the entrance. Yes they do offer a 20% senior discount but eliminate the Wow item. The "WOW" items are already extremely marked down. We did receive the 20% discount on everything but the few "Wow item" purchased. We saved $108.00 dollars. read more

I do not understand why you advertise 20% discount for seniors and then eliminate the wow items because that means that you don't really want to give seniors a discount. I feel that it is false advertisement because you don't say tat when you do your advertisements on the radio. read more

While this is listed as women's clothing, it's also got men's clothing, too. If you need something for casual wear, and need a good selection at very reasonable price, this is a good store. For my wife, she's got much more choices, including sleepwear. At the end of the season, you can get great sale prices. Glad to have Hamricks' in town. read more
