Chicken fried rice and spicy dumplings
    Nina C.

Just got off a long commute from Jersey and was starving. This was recommended by the hotel receptionist since it was one of the few places open late. Just a 5 minute walk and it was inside a shopping center. Thankfully I ordered online so I didn't have to wait when I arrived and there was a small line of people waiting. I didn't have super high expectations for the quality of food that late but surprisingly it was all quite good. The dumplings were delicious! The sauce had a perfect amount of spiciness and the chicken fried rice was a good portion. It was a touch dry but the extra chili sauce they gave me helped and it had at least a good flavor. I would recommend this as a good late night spot in Brooklyn if you've got a hankering for Chinese food!

This restaurant in Manhattan offers the most incredible Sichuan-style cuisine. Over the years, it has maintained a charming decor. The server and staff work as a cohesive unit, ensuring that we received attentive service. If you're looking for a delicious taste of Asian cuisine, this is the place to go. It deserves a solid five out of five stars.

The service was very good, the server was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and the food came out quickly and hot. We were very pleased. Oh, the food is one of the best Asian food I've had.

Recently came to Han Dynasty for a lunch date. I love that they have affordable lunch specials here! I ordered the shrimp fried rice which came with a choice of 1 hot and 1 cold appetizer. Rice was very tasty and not too oily. Cucumbers on the other hand were a bit too spicy for my liking.

We all enjoyed these 2 appetizers.

My cousins and I came to this location for a holiday luncheon. The decor is cute and the staff was extra friendly and able to assist with our requests to make the dishes mild in spice. The food was very good, too. My favorite dish was on the special menu - Twisted Tofu Skin with Peanuts. I would also definitely order the String Beans and the Dan Dan Noodles next time. It was a great experience! I will be back for more!

Bubble tea was $5 for a large size, so I decided to give it a try. Bubbles were included in the price. Bubble tea was okay. I got too much ice and sugar even though I asked for light ice and sugar.

I love it here. I have eaten in the upper west side location one time and three times I got delivery from the one on Dekalb. I love the wontons in chili oil. The cumin fries are delicious but like all fries are better at the restaurant bc they lose their crispness when delivered. But the flavor is still so great. We got the scallion with pork. Omg so delicious. Very subtle flavor and very tender pork. I want it all the time now. The chicken dumplings are good but I prefer the spicy wontons. The king pao chicken is very flavorful and has lots of veggies - bell peppers.

Good Sichuan food! Food: we ordered a few dishes! I really liked the dry pepper chicken the best! It is very spicy but very flavorful! The t garlic sauce chicken is also pretty good, and comes with veggies which is nice. The three cup chicken is pretty sweet, so very different from the others! Service: we ordered takeout and they were quick Ambience: there is a small takeout window which makes it quick and easy to grab the food

Visited a few more times since my first review. Disappointed to observe my recent experience didn't measure up to the wow factor I felt upon my first few times trying Han Dynasty. A simple order of Chicken with Garlic and Rice noodles with Chicken left me feeling ambivalent. Perhaps it was an off day? We requested no MSG and less soy sauce as related to the Chicken with Garlic but the end result tasted quite salty and coated in a dark brown sauce with too many bamboo shoots for my liking. While the Noodles were pretty good, overall, there was a feeling of disappointment and belief that Han Dynasty is drowning in a sea of similar, generic restaurants. I might try again in the future and will update my review once more.

The food at Han Dynasty is so good. So so so good. Service wasn't great, but it wasn't rushed and it wasn't rude so I'll take it. Everything we ordered was delicious - very different than what we have back home and we live in a Chinese dominant area. Pricing was what I would consider moderate for the amount of food and quality received. I'd definitely come back.

price - $80 including tax and tip food - 3/5 service - 3/5 ambiance - 3/5 overall, the food was okay. i was very surprised at the portion because we ordered the lunch special deal for both the kung pao chicken and the chicken fried rice but we werent informed of the serving size and the amount of side dishes that were served. that part was pretty disappointing. thats why i think their pricing is definitely on the pricier side based on the amount of food they serve. also, for some reason the food took sooooo long to come out (around 20 mins) and the staff didnt really check in on us as well. it was an okay experience since it was within the dekalb market hall but i dont think i will go here again considering my experience

I didn't order any entrees. I ordered chicken and shrimp dumplings, and they were so good they were different from other dumplings I've had. They tasted really fresh and very light. They were so good I ordered another one. Their spring rolls were good but not my favorite. The decor was very pretty. I've had better. Their drinks were good, and our waitress was very polite and attentive. You can find Han Dynasty at the DeKalb Market Hall it is located below target.

I stumbled across this spot by accident and honestly I'm so happy that I did !!! It might just be a new happy hour spot for my friends and I. The food here was awesome!! Everything flavored to perfection and portioned generously. The dynasty margarita was delicious. Great for happy hour and hanging out with friends. The staff is also super nice and friendly. 10/10

I next just got a regular lychee martini, which was much less sweet & a perfect drink #2 - we started with the pork dumplings which had such a complex sauce. it looked like a basic chili oil but there was a tangy vinegar and a sweet aftertaste that balanced out the numbing spice. the dough was so chewy & thick, I loved. - the cold eggplant was very garlic forward & naturally ofc coated in spice. it's a large serving of the same vegetable but we ate every piece - we split the tofu & fish entree. this was insane, the same base and consistency as mapo tofu. incredibly rich and flavorful with light large chunks of silken tofu & battered fried soft fish. the fish absorbed so much of the sauce, which honestly I was eating by the spoonful.

The ambiance is nice and very roomy, clearly targeted towards a younger crowd. Presentation of all the dishes was good too. As for the food, I guess it's a good option if you're not used to traditional Chinese food and looking to try it? The flavors were definitely more catered to an American palate (as my sister put it, it felt like an American restaurant with Chinese dishes-- from the decor to the lack of complimentary tea or rice, menu was written only in English, vast majority of customers were non-Asian, none of which is /bad/, but if you're looking for a more traditional Chinese restaurant, Antidote isn't it). Onto the dishes-- the favorite hands down was the sliced pork with garlic sauce, which was beautifully plated and super flavorful. DongPo pork belly was very tender, just much sweeter than I'm used to. The green peppercorn fish had lots of numbing spice and the fish was very tender; it just wasn't as sour or spicy as I was hoping. Crab tofu was basically all yolk flavor and no crab flavor (not surprising, given how little crab they added). Sautéed pea shoots were very fresh and cooked well. Cocktail list is also super solid. Dessert was a let down-- we ordered the espresso crème brulee, which had absolutely no brûlée (tasted more like a vaguely coffee flavored flan).

Ambiance 3/5: A little chaotic. A lot of kids (middle or high schoolers) probably because of the cheaper prices and according to other reviews a discount with student ID. Another large party came in and started moving tables around and people that appeared to be regulars seated themselves. Service 4/5: We were seated immediately at a table for 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering.
