The food is absolutely delicious. I had the spicy chicken bowl. My friend had bbq beef with the sides. We both enjoyed it very much. I definitely recommend this place for take out. The interior needs work! It doesn't look very good. They could really replace those tables and chairs and it could really use a new coat a paint! New lighting too! When I first walked in, I was gonna leave but I am glad I gave it a try because of all the positive reviews I read about the food. Hole in the wall tavern feel when coming in with a very warm and quick welcome from the staff. My review is for the spicy seafood soup which alone warrants a second visit to this restaurant to try the rest of their offerings. I typically have to adjust my expectations lower for eating out because quite honestly most restaurants just dont have any attention to detail and you can taste it in the food in both presentation and quality of taste, but this dish definitely deserves an accolade. Seafood soups tend to be very hard to make due to the small margin of error in overcooking the ingredients but the shrimps and mussels was perfectly cooked. You have soft zucchini carrying the flavor of the broth with its several levels of complexity which is well balanced with the amount of heat from the chili paste combined with a moderate elasticity from the noodle (personally would love a slightly more alkaline noodle but by all means this did not take away from the dish whatsoever) and slight crunchiness of the cabbage. It was definitely surprising to see that the flavor of the cabbage still came through such a rich broth, and doubly more surprised that it was crunchy and not just a sloppy mess. The play between the different textures of soft and chewy, silky and firm of the ingredients is only something that is done when someone pays attention and have a strong innate sense of "timing" read more

Han mi is the best food in the game. We have been getting take out during Covid but the preparation time is quick (10-15 mins) and the food is always fresh and hot. The service was terrible. The waiter didn't even come to our table other than to bring us water. We also waited over an hour to get our food and the restaurant only had 2 other tables and 1 table had already eaten. The tteokkbokki was mainly fish cakes and only had like 5 rice cakes. So I gave this place a try yesterday, I got the Korean fried chicken. What I did not order however was the violent food poisoning that I got about 6 hours later. I write this as I'm recovering from puking my brains out since 2 am till now. Just be cautious and to be sure it was the only thing I ate yesterday. We have ordered take out from here many many times over the past few months and EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE WAS PHENOMENAL. The staff is always great, and the food is always sooo amazing!! Our favorite dishes have been the Korean Fried Chicken, Collar Bowl, Kimchi Fried Rice, Pork Belly Wraps, and the Jjamppong Noodle. We trust this place so much that we plan on trying every menu item. okay so i never leave yelp reviews but i had to for this place. we live in st elmo and eat at the restaurants here all the time so we wanted to try something new that wasn't too far away. my partner and i are seriously so glad we picked han mi. he ordered the bibimbap and i got the korean fried chicken (spicy tangy). he rated his a 10/10 and i would also rate mine a 10/10. i'm very picky about the meat that i eat like i cannot stand having fat in my meat or tough pieces of chicken, etc but this was perfect. the spicy tangy sauce was perfect too. i like spicy but not so hot i can't taste my food so it was seriously so good and flavorful! we also got it to go which seems to be hit or miss nowadays with covid but i was 100% impressed. can't wait to go back :) read more
