    Beez Bowl

Hana Bowls is simply amazing! From the awesome and friendly owners to the best Acai bowls we have ever had. This husband and wife team know what they're doing and you should definitely stop by any time you drive by on the Hana Highway (The Road to Hana). We stopped by Hana Bowls 2 times while we were in Hana. On the second stop, we ordered our bowls and coffee. I ended up having to go back for a second cold brew coffee before we pulled off so I could have one for the road. These are the things we ordered and they were amazing so I'm sure everything else is as well! Hana Bowl with Lilikoi Butter The Beez Bowl with Lilikoi Butter Vanila Bean Cold Brew with Cold Foam P.S. The Lilikoi Butter is amazing!

They are easy to find, turn off main road and head to the lava tubes, it's about 100' down on the right

After checking the other food trucks, about 4 or 5, that share the lot with Da Fish Shack, I walked back to this one because I love fish and wanted to try the seared fish (ahi) plate on the menu, and also because of the friendly and warm aloha welcome I received when I approached this food truck the first time and asked questions about their menu which was answered unhurriedly and politely. The grilled ahi was very good - well seasoned, tender and a good portion, without the $$$$ price tag of restaurants in the town of Hana. I also enjoyed the homemade chili and pineapple sauce, and vegetable that came with my ahi. The owner also gave me a nice size sample of poke which was really fresh and delicious too! We ate at a covered picnic table which is clean and provided shade from the sun. I should mention it is an outdoor seating so keep your food covered to keep flies off your plate. A minor nuisance. Also, if you need a bathroom break, there are public restrooms in the beach located 15 minutes from this food trucks stop. Make this your stop after the Hana heavy drive and help support small local businesses! It is a good thing!

Fried seafood and fries were great, poke and shave ices fine but nothing special. Service was friendly and quick. Would be happy to eat there again sometime.

Where the locals are and where the locals eat. A food truck where it's fenced in and safe to be with your kids, there's shaded seating and lots of Aloha!

Food That Feeds Your Soul, Not Just Your Belly…read more I gotta say, I drove all the way from Kīhei 'cause Nalei was straight calling my soul. You ever get that feeling where you just know you need some comfort food and a little peace for your mind? That was me. Life been kinda heavy lately, and I knew the only thing that could help was some real local grinds cooked with love. The drive to Hāna not easy -- twisty roads, narrow turns -- but man, the reward waiting for me on 'Ula'ino Road was worth every mile. Hidden in this quiet little corner, surrounded by lush green and the mountains standing tall, Nalei felt like one oasis away from the noise of the world. The breeze was cool, the air smelled clean, and I could literally feel my stress just melt away. Then came the food -- ho, unreal. Their Aloha Sunrise special hit all the right spots. Fluffy eggs, smoky crispy bacon, and that Ono Portuguese sausage... everything cooked with so much aloha, you can taste it. Made me smile and think of my Tūtū Mā and Papa -- that kind of food that brings you right back to your roots. And the saimin? Bro... that was the real deal. The broth warm your soul, the noodles cooked perfect, and all the toppings -- spam, eggs, char siu, kamaboko, green onions -- everything came together so Ono. The portions big too! I was full but still didn't wanna stop eating. Best part -- the prices are affordable, not gonna leave your pocket puka or your stomach hungry. For real, you get more than your money's worth -- you get fed with love. When I left, I wasn't just full -- I was content. My heart felt light again. That's what Nalei does. It's not just food -- it's home, it's comfort, it's aloha served on a plate.

Two perfectly cooked eggs with that runny yoke, two hamburger patties, onion, rice, and a generous portion of gravy. All of that combined made a great lunch. If you're not starving, then there's enough to share for two. One of the best Loco Mocos we had on our trip. They're located in an area with multiple little food trucks, and they have plenty of tables in the middle to enjoy your food. There's a little parking lot nearby - we didn't have any problems finding a place to park. Their hours are not necessarily on a timetable - I don't think they opened until an hour after what they said online. But if you can make it while they're open, then it is totally worth it.

Both the wife and I decided on Joel's and for once we both decided on the same dish. With a quick order, we were spending some time finding a seat, and looking at some of the other vendors who are also here at the trucks. This is a great and casual place to get your food on. There are a couple of other places that you can go, but the food to choose from here at least for me is just too hard to beat. When we got our food, we were happy it's the portions of both the teriyaki beef and the garlic shrimp. I would suggest that if you get the garlic shrimp, that you have anyone else whom you plan on talking to or being closer than 2 feet from you also eat the garlic shrimp. These things are delicious but will keep vampires away for quite a while. Simply put this is a great stop to get your quick food on, easily eat in 10-15 mins and you can be on the road in 30 mins or less if your in a hurry, or like us, just soak in that glorious weather and have a great meal. The portion size was appropriate and the price is typical of what you will find on the island and keep in mind that you are also in Hana so just keep that in mind. No dollar menus here!! You find yourself on the road to Hana, stop in at the food truck area and stop and Joel's. You wont be sorry.
