Amazing textures, fresh flavors and inspiring combinations, don't miss a delicious Açaí bowl from Humbowl Wagon. I'm not an açaí lover, until I tried a Humbowl I didn't even look twice at an açaí bowl but now I'm hooked. My go to fave is a Humbowl with added almond butter. As I write this I'm enjoying a Hapa Haole with added almond butter. It's all the things that are good for you in a lovely layered masterpiece. Today I drove up to Makawao to get my fix, but check their Instagram to find out where she's parked. Handmade ingredients from the neighbors fruit trees and expertly done, you can't go wrong. Make all your açaí dreams come true.

Their menu and their efforts to take local farm goods to table is commendable. This food truck uses items from Kumu Farms, O'oka Farms, Kula Farming and La'akea Farms. Humbowl Wagon specializes in vegan menu which is great and they also sell driftwood macrame items along with succulents. This food truck highly encourages being plastic free, reusing and sustainable containers. They also use paper straws in their drinks. I ordered their fizzy Kula strawberry, lemonade drink which I was excited about. I was expecting the size to be a lot larger for the cost. The flavor was zesty and bright initially but over a short period of time it ebbed exponentially and left the drink bland. Something to note and watch out for future purchases is their taxes and pricing. I bought one of their drinks and ended up paying 70 cents in tax when usually it's like 15 cents. Normal hours are Wed - Sat: 8:00am to 2:00pm in Paia. They do go to the Sunday Night Market in Kahului. The website online does not list their menu and neither does their Instagram but they seem to have a standard set menu. I might come back to try their food items next time around.

All the ingredients are so fresh, the granola is crunchy and the ratio is always prefect to the last bite.

TIKI DAVE and family loves TIN ROOF MAUI!…read more While our cruise ship was in port, we stopped in after I did some serious research to settle upom Tin Roof and boy were we glad! Holy smokes, that Mochicko Chicken [Hawaiian-style fried chicken made by marinating bite-sized chicken pieces in a sweet and savory soy-garlic batter featuring mochiko (sweet rice flour) before deep-frying] is the bomb! Super crispy bits, amazing flavor, served over garlic noodles...man alive, if you are in Maui and don't grab takeout here, you may as well not go to Maui. It is takeout only and my wife didn't want fried food so she ordered something from the Mexican joint across the parking lot. Since she ordered food there, we figured it'd be ok to eat our heavenly chicken dishes there....NOPE; we were asked to leave. BOO. So we finished, well, the kids finished on the way to nearby Kanaha Beach Park and I finished mine there under the airport and within sight of our ship. It really is a lovely beach. TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends TIN ROOF! I will be dropping a video of our experience shortly! Not sure what's the hype with this place for the first stop from airport. Food was just ordinary, more like a fusion type to me and overpriced with small portion.

I tracked her down to her new location on the west side of the "food paradise" in Kihei. They are sold in 3's. They are made to order and you select the sugar and filling on each one. This is incredible customer service. Each malasada is large and filling and the fillings are delectable. There are tables nearby, but I usually take them home to enjoy while watching my Dodger games. Do not miss out on this treat when you visit Maui. If I'm 3 bills by winter, this will be why! Just in time for whale season!

Aloha fellow BES' Kine Goodies Seekers!…read more I LOVE MANUELA MALASADAS so.stop by every time I go to Costco! They are right across the street so I may drive to the lot right next to the truck or just run across the street ! It's a cute, very clean food truck right off the hotel driveway & parking lot with parking stalls right near it in case you buy a bunch to take home. Or have a car full of luggage from your flight to Maui since it's just down the way from OGG airport. Malasadas put donuts to shame!!! ESPECIALLY if you like gooey fillings & toppings. My favorite ones are around Christmas but they have tons of regular fillings. I can never get less than three because I can't pass up my chance to try new ones. They have wonderful staff... especially the manager Sabrina...really know their way around dough and they do not scrimp on the Malasadas itself or the fillings! They ONLY cook just for you... so plan a few minutes wait but they have picnic tables under a tarp right there or you can walk around the other food trucks. But definitely at least take your first bites there while they're hot out of the frier!!! 'Only ONE piece of advice: ... G O. H U N G R Y !!!! ...
