My husband and I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of food and quickly realized we may have gotten a little too ambitious. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, and it was exactly the kind of breakfast we wanted before a full day of exploring the island. The staff was friendly, service moved quickly despite how busy it was, and the atmosphere felt very local and welcoming. There are a lot of breakfast spots on Maui, but I can see why this place is always recommended. If you're visiting, it's definitely worth stopping by at least once. Just don't make the same mistake we did and over-order... although I can't say I regret it.

The vanilla latte was really good, and I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles too. The breakfast platter was also solid. Overall, simple, comforting breakfast food. The ordering system was a little weird and chaotic, though. You have to wait in line to order before finding a seat, but then also wait by the counter for your drinks. The space is pretty tight, and with families and tourists coming in, there were easily 20 people packed into the small area when we went. It felt really crowded and chaotic, and it was hard to know where to stand or wait. I also thought it was a little pricey considering how casual and chill the spot is and the amount of food you get. The food was good, but I expected either larger portions or slightly lower prices.

The restaurant was clean and had a homey vibe to it. The menu is huge and had so many fantastic options. We all had multiple things we wanted to try, but since we were flying out later that day we couldn't try all the options on this visit. The owner was our waitress who was personable, gave great suggestions and made our visit very enjoyable. We all loved our meals! The focaccia bread on the sandwiches was SO delicious and the bread is made onsite. All the ingredients were very fresh and the salads were really tasty too. The portions are very generous. We look forward to visiting this wonderful restaurant when in the area in the future.

It was a little pricier than we expected, but the portions were absolutely massive, so you definitely get a lot of food. We got the calamari and the seafood pink sauce pasta. The calamari was so light and crispy, which I loved. The seafood pasta was also really delicious, especially the shrimp. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The service was just okay. They weren't super attentive, although there was a large table they were taking care of, so I understand. Overall, really good food and huge portions, just a little more expensive and formal than we expected.

My mom got the chicken fried steak and was dissapointed to see everything but the egg was frozen. The pancakes we got were decent, but clearly made from a box mix with a dough like taste. All other meals my family got had the same issues. In general it was mediocre for people with real breakfast expectations given not much was made in house. As someone who works at a restaurant, I dont recommend.

The guy that took our order was great though. Best personality and set the tone for the meal with the best energy as soon as we walked through the door. He recommended the mango lemonade to start (YUM- so glad I listened) and it was super refreshing. I ordered the ube michi pancakes and he recommended the pork fried rice with eggs for my husband as it was one of the more popular dishes. The pork fried rice was really good. The portion was just big enough and I'm not surprised at all that it's a top dish. I think the ube mochi pancakes were the star though. The text was good and the ube flavor really comes out, so much that I didn't want to use any coconut syrup for fear of drowning it out. I ate one without syrup and one with and the coconut syrup really compliments the pancake. Both flavor come out nicely.

The seared ahi sandwich was fresh and flavorful, the Leoda's burger was juicy and satisfying, and the Caesar salad was crisp and tasty. The fries with garlic aioli were the perfect side and seriously addictive. And of course, we had to bring the banana cream pie last to enjoy. The apple was really good with a strudel style topping adding some crunch, but the banana cream was easily the star. The filling was top notch and the crust had the perfect doneness to contrast the soft banana center. I could eat one of these every day. I also stole a bite of my friend's Reuben and the sandwiches deserve some attention too. The inside was nice and hot, the sauerkraut had a really good tang to it and everything worked together perfectly on thick crusty bread. Even the fries were solid. Leoda's is officially going on my list of places I have to visit whenever I'm on Maui, and probably one I'll go out of my way for. One of the best spots in all of the outer islands.
