And for it to be nut-free and sugar-free was really impressive to me. While here, I also grabbed a mango smoothie, which wasn't too special - though it wasn't mango season, so I don't blame them - and a couple of Island Dream Bars. I have to say this Halfway to Hana store truly saved me for keeping my spirits to go all the way to Hana town. The ladies are quite nice, recommended the ginger chew candy and even refill my water bottle. Yup, I was one of those who got the motion sickness. The store offers variety of snacks. We bought their famous banana bread which by the way is by far the best banana bread I ever had. Very moist, it's that good. I mean it's on the sweeter side but that's expected. And it's pricey, also expected. We bought 2 to take home. Put it in the fridge in our hotel room then brought it home. It lasted about 1 week as long as it's in the fridge. We attempted to go to fullway to Hana but because of our tight schedule we stopped our journey here, Half way to Hana! We saw a long line of people standing in front of the store! We were curious what was all about! Yep, it's a food store!! Mostly, refreshment type of store and we had a bowl of shredded ice and banana bread! My wife's friend told us to get banana cake, that's why we did it! My family and I drove the "Loop" Road to Hana tour (my fellow Shaka Guide users know what I'm talking about) on a Sunday and stopped here to get some banana bread as Aunty Sandy's is closed on Sundays.
