Making the ambiance homey and inviting. Braddah's is a Hawaiian experience in itself. Braddah himself is a character and friendly as ever. After getting to know him we learned he may be taking his cooking to Utah, which is where my buddy was from. He even had a note pad stacked with local Utah residents addresses to share the good news with once the move is final (to ETA) which is more than enough reason to get to Braddah's STAT! They only accept payments via Venmo or cash so come prepared. All lunch plates are served with two scoops of rice and macronni salad. You can purchase sodas and drinks for $2. Fantastic food, so why 4 stars instead of 5? I had the Kalua pork and honestly it tasted like Lloyd's premade pulled pork from the grocery store. Glad they provided sriracha to spicy it up because it was good but BORING. The slaw on top was a nice addition (and necessary too). My husband, on the other hand, ordered the BBQ pork, which might be the best pork we have had on the island. I'd give his an easy 5 stars and mine a solid 3 stars, so meeting in the middle at 4 stars overall felt fair. Owners and cooks are super nice and friendly. But my partner wanted to wait to pick up some from Auntie Sandy's, which has the rep of being the best. Mistake! BH's tasted only of real, fresh ingredients and had an airier texture and more cake-like crumb. Maybe other people prefer their bread to be super dense, but I didn't.
