It's located in the basement level where Delalb Market Hall is near the elevators. I made an order for the Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($14.25) on DoorDash for pick up and it was ready within minutes. I got my noodle soup with regular round hand pulled noodles and level spicy. The spicy mostly came with the chili sauce that was in a separate container, so you can adjust to your liking. The broth, beef, and daikon were separated from the noodles and bok choy, so nothing gets soggy. I have to say that the beef and daikon were marinated well although the broth could use stronger flavor. Everything about this bowl was solid --not amazing, not bad. This spot gets your Asian food cravings as there aren't many Asian spots in the area. While I enjoyed it, it's not a spot I'd likely return unless it's a last resort. Both were pretty good so I'd say the final choice boils down to whether you prefer dry or soup noodles. I got the Taiwanese noodle soup and my husband got the Noodles with Pork Sauce (Jiajiang mian). He said it was alright (that's his code for "I like it, but I won't admit it"). He had a good serving of pork sauce on his noodles. I also liked my dish - I didn't think it was too salty, and they gave me a good quantity of beef. Quantity wise it's on par with a lot of noodle places you'll eat it and it's a little pricey because it's NYC. I also liked their bubble tea. I would return to this noodle station in the future if I'm in the area. Dekalb Market itself is a gem that should have its word spread across the city. One of the worst Chinese meals I've had recently was at Hana Noodle Station. And I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. I'm not even sure what kind of appetizer immersing cucumbers in a salty soy sauce bath was, but it didn't work well. I was in the mood for dumplings and chose the boiled variety with chicken and corn. I also wanted something sweet to drink and chose the Thai Iced Milk Bubble Tea. As I waited for my order, ten minute wait, I reviewed the menu. Hana had an extensive menu that covers hand pulled noodles, Dan Dan noodles, dumplings, rice and so much more. The bubble tea menu also has a nice selection of flavors: watermelon, honeydew, etc. I picked up my order and found a nice empty table near Ample Hills. The dumplings were piping hot and were accompanied with a small container of soy sauce and a fork. Not to complain, but really? a fork? I always forget to ask for chopsticks but assume it would be an automatic option when eating Asian cuisine. The dumplings were delicious; the chicken and corn combination was tasty. The Thai Bubble tea was meh.. I expected sweet, similar to a Thai iced tea but was tasteless. Highly disappointed! Overall, I will give Hana another visit: I really wanted to try the pulled noodles as I have great memories of them when I visited Shanghai. Hana Noodle Station has turned into my most frequent favorite spot to eat within Dekalb Market Hall, and considering that its one of the longest lasting, I'm probably not the only one who thinks so. I retract my lukewarm review from 2017, they've really become super efficient and consistently delicious. Hana is all the way in the back corner of the Hall, close to the three elevators. Hana's hand pulled noodles really are the best. The Lan Zhou Beef Noodle Soup is warm, comforting, and filling, and can be served with or without the chili crisp. I like it with round thick noodles, which are comparable to udon. The wonton noodle soup is also delicious - note that it usually comes with cilantro, to ask to omit if you're one of those folks that taste soap vs herby goodness. The lighter broth and delicate skins of the wontons are better with the thin noodles. I also LOVE their Dan Dan noodle in the summer. The pork and peanuts, the cilantro and cucumber, the bouncy noodle, the chili sauce, everything is savory and cool yet spicy, I basically had it at least once a week. If you like curry, the Singaporian Laksa is very good, not too spicy, with creamy coconut milk and thinner noodles. Hana's chili crisp oil is the best in the neighborhood, I covet these tiny containers of spicy goodness when I have extras. The dumplings, scallion pancake, bubble teas, and the pineapple fried rice are closer to 3 star dishes. Prices are fair for the labor, freshness, and portion size. It was only topped with vegetables, primarily cucumber and tomato. Proteins add-ons are roughly $2-$3. It had abundant sauce although it was watery and pooled on the bottom rather than coating the noodles. Flavor could have been more aromatic with further incorporation of garlic, which would have also given more of a kick. Default noodles are Round Hand-Regular (正常圓), and can be changed to rice noodle (not hand-pulled) or a different consistency (e.g. thick, thin, flat). The food isn't bad at all but it just lacks the right amount of spice and kick that would make it so much better. Their dishes are basically as neutral as you can get without being bland. If I had to give a few suggestions for people who order here be prepared to bring some chili oil or salt or pepper cause it's something that is sorely missed in their dishes. Anyways, for my meal I had their dumplings and sliced beef. Both were decent dishes with the dumpling filling being a little bland which was easily solved with the sauce that coated the sliced beef. As for the sliced beef, it was also just as decent but I think it didn't have the same kind of amazing chew you'd get when you chew through a tender beef slide. It had what I'd say is kind of think of as a mini skirt steak but was expecting something more like a rib eye for texture. I would say if it was marinated in something like honey to break down the muscles that would greatly help. All in all, this place is definitely a good place to eat but it won't blow your mind at all.
