This was my first place coming here and by me it was the most delicious Japanese place for me to go to here in Arlington so far. The ambiance was nice, the service was attentive and the food, when I say I cleared my plate I literally cleared my plate! The salmon teriyaki was a nice balance of a nice soft glaze of teriyaki sauce, and the salmon was well cooked! Everything was superb and I will definitely be coming back again! Thank you again to the kitchen and servers today!

One of my favorite restaurants in nova. I'm not a big ramen person (although their ramens are still great), what I always come back for are their bento dishes. The bentos are such a good comfort food, almost a home cooked feeling, and my favorites are the teriyaki salmon and saba miso. I also would highly recommend the karaage, as an appetizer or as an entree, I've gotten it many times and it always comes out piping hot, perfectly cooked, and so crispy. We most recently ordered the tonkotsu charsu ramen which had a very flavorful broth, and we were surprised at the amount of meat that came with it! Most of the entrees are a hit except for the tsukemen- I think the sauce doesn't really cling to the noodles so it lacked some flavor for me. The only thing to note is the resturaunt can get very busy on weekend nights. The space is small so the seating can be tight but to be honest I feel like that adds to the charm of the place! As much as I'd like to gatekeep this place, if you are in the Clarendon area I would 100% recommend this spot!

Simply give this place a try. It's some of the best Ramen I've had all year, and I've tried a lot of places. It's small so large groups can make it difficult. Try to have your whole party there to sit makes it easier. They were attentive, the orders came out fresh and quick. It reminds you of one of these small shops. not to fancy but delivers big on flavor. The broth was fantastic in my opinion, the noodles perfect! The slurp factor was high. The ingredients just brought it all together and the serving was perfect and i was satisfied 100%. If I lived closer, I'd visit a lot more often but coming from Montgomery County it's a little difficult. I think you would enjoy the ramen here.

Always a pleasure here. Wasn't a long wait around 12:45 on a Sunday. Has the Champon and Tonkatsu ramen. Polite service and fast delivery.

I've been wanting to try this Ramen spot for sometime. It just so happens that a rainy Sunday was the perfect excuse to go out. What I appreciate is the staff really emphasize this is authentic Ramen; made by a chef who came directly from Japan, wanting to share his craft. The moment you enter, you are greeted with warm smiles and helpful staff who will do everything possible to make your experience as authentic to what you would experience in Japan. The vegetarian Ramen was very flavorful, a good balance of the salty and spicy broth. The noodles were chewy and had a springy texture to them. The vegetarian dumplings were very interesting. They were not made with any tofu or mince vegetables- rather the main filling was chickpeas! An interesting take, though personally, not for me as I found them to be a little starchy. My dad enjoyed the Chicken Karaage and the spicy sauce that came with it. It was the perfect accompaniment with an ice cold beer. But don't just wait for a rainy day to go, definitely give this place a try for yourself. It's a huge favorite among the locals in that area.

Stopped in on a cold, rainy day and a hot bowl of udon was just what I needed! I also appreciated being able to sit at the counter as a solo diner. The service was crazy fast and the broth and noodles were perfect. The shrimp tempura were also spot on though I'd probably order them as a side next time so I get more and they don't soggy. Bit pricier than I realized it was going to be, but totally worth it for the quality.

The food here is fantastic and the service is lovely. I've been here with my friends over 4 times and have tried everything from ramen, to udon, and the bento boxes as well. It is a smaller restaurant so if you come here with more than 5-6 people, I would call ahead! I feel like it's become a staple place for me whenever I'm in Claredon and want something thats homey and comforting!

We got here around 7:20 because we thought they closed at 9, but actually they took last orders at 7:45. They graciously seated us. The karage chicken was SO juicy and they used dark meat which made it extra delicious. The tsukemen was ok. The broth wasn't as thick as tsukemen broths I've had in the past and it seemed like more of a regular ramen but still yummy. Curry was delicious and a generous portion of the meat. Great place, next to kungfu bubble tea if you want dessert after.

This place was super busy upon arriving and they had a lot on the waitlist already, which I see as a good thing. The space is quite intimate and you may literally bump elbows. The food service was so quick and efficient. The food itself was tasty! Got the Tonkatsu Ramen which was so rich and full of flavor but not overly salty or fatty, which can be so hard to find. Wontons were good and a nice add-on. The chicken karrage is so crispy and tasty Seafood Mix fried selection was very good and fresh. Miso salmon was a delicious healthy serving Unagi Donburi was also tasty Would love to return and try something new!

Ordered takeout from Hanabi on a cold evening and it really hit the spot! We ordered the spicy miso ramen, tonkatsu chasu, and the gyoza appetizer. Everything had great flavor, the noodles and broth are kept separate so the noodles weren't mushy when it arrived. The spicy miso wasn't terribly spicy and had a great flavor. I love gyoza and was pleasantly surprised with them. My boyfriend enjoyed the tonkatsu chasu. I can't speak to the restaurant or service since we had delivery, but the food was great and I'd definitely order again!

This ramen spot was recommended by a local Japanese living in DMV so I had to try it. I cannot say with 100% certainty but it appears to be run by Japanese people. The place is tiny and it reminds me of Ramen shops in Tokyo. Even the staff resembles Japan in a way. They want you to leave when you're done eating. It sounds rude in the US to make your customers leave but to be honest, I didn't mind it. That's how busy ramen shops are run in Japan. The table next to us didn't order any ramen but drinks for some time so the staff nicely asked to make space for customers in line. They were probably pissed not knowing this is how ramen shops are run. As I've said, the place is small but it's also cozy, packed, and very lively during dinner time. The taste of the ramen is very close to Japan but not quite there completely. 8/10 close. The texture of the ramen is excellent unlike Jinya or other ramen spots in the area. The first sip of the broth and the tight cozy, busy spot will almost make you feel like you're back in Japan for a second. I'm however missing the pickled leaves that are usually served at ramen shops. Will I come back again? Arlington is a bit of a drive for me. If I were in the area, I'd be back quite often!

I randomly dropped in on a cold day for some hot ramen. The food came out so fast! I ordered the Hanabi wings and Tan Tan Men ramen. The wings were savory and sticky; the ramen was mildly spicy. I wasn't a huge fan of the Tan Tan Men so I'll give the Shoyu a try next time. The service was amazing. Very tentative, patient and kind. My water never went empty and and they team was on top of all my needs.

when it's all mixed together it's delish

There is a reason why locals keep this restaurant busy. I have found it to always have consistent high quality. It is a reliable spot for some of the areas best ramen. It's a little hole in the wall in the tables fill up very fast, so I normally use DoorDash. If you're a ramen fan you owe it to yourself to come by.

What is the difference between Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu Chachu, and Tonkotsu Nagi (three main ramen options here)?

It's the amount of toppings - if you select Tonkotsu Chashu, you will get extra of those pork toppings. Same goes with Tonkotu Negi - if you like extra scallions, then go with Tonkotsu Negi.

How does it compare to Daikaya?

It's deferent style of ramen. They are both pretty authentic, just from different regions. I like them both. One thing that Hanabi does that really shows how much the chefs love ramen is that they use different types of noodles for each of their…

Fast forward a few months later, and I place the same order for Sakedon as before and noted no ginger due to allergies. Not only did I get the same full load of ginger in my order but my second order of Donburi Moriwase was missing, but instead an order of Chicken Katsu Curry was in its place. I guess this was an "in-ordered replacement...or retaliation for expecting a business to do their due diligence with safety issues concerning orders? Not sure about that, but they sure didn't hesitate to take my money. As I stated earlier, the food is good for a decent price but this type of BS is part of the reason why people get fed up with establishments. I plan on taking this issue to the Health Department, but at least wanted to throw some caution to others out there. Good luck and watch very closely what is being thrown into your food.

This entrée also came with these interesting rice "balls" that were rice with a toasted slightly sweet exterior. I also ordered a toasted rice ball. It's what you think a toasted rice ball would be, white rice in ball that's been toasted. No additional ingredients or flavorings. JP ordered a grilled whole sardine, which he liked.
