This is apparently a second location for a brand that started in Union Market. The vibe was upbeat, and what I take to be the owner was working. They offer a vegan Ramen, and it was something that they clearly take seriously. It delivered a variety of tastes and textures. Notably, there were tofu pockets, stuffed with corn, chilled bok choy, and ample seaweed. The smooth miso broth was a solid base to build on. I read that the owner started off at Toki Underground, and while this place doesn't have the kind of atmosphere, it does have that kind of quality. These food hall type places can of course make the leap to a standalone restaurant when successful, and if this one does I'll be there shortly.

Super friendly staff on a Sunday. Came here around 1:30 and the space is shared with other vendors. It's a small menu with about 10 main ramen and rice dishes and ability to add sides. You'll have to find a seat in one of the open seating areas with tables and chairs. Next to the bubble tea place on a hot summer day, there was a ton of traffic to the ramen vendor. The food was good. Had the curry ramen and the noodles were bouncy and chewy. They only serve chicken broth ramen, no pork bone broth. The broth is definitely flavorful. I tend to be a lighter eater so this was definitely much more sodium than my usual... but to those that love flavor. This is very good. The shoyu ramen was also on the salty side but also very tasty.

This spot had been on my list of must try ramen in the area but I'm rarely in Georgetown. This day, I had plans fall through and made a point to drive over to check them out. I didnt realize it was inside of a small food hall! The guy that took my order was super kind and patient and explained their process to me since this was the first time I've ever had ramen with a poached egg! It was amazing. Quit easily the BEST ramen I have ever had before! The flavors worked so well together and I had plenty leftover for later! Now that I know about their location in Union Market DC, I'll stop by there since it's a tad bit more accessible from my home!

Wow! It was well worth the wait for Ramen by Uzu . . . this second location is in the heart of Georgetown. I ordered several different ramens, but the first that I finished was the Chicken Shio Ramen, and it does not disappoint. The broth was on point, and there were really tasty pieces of meat, while the egg was cooked perfectly, and the ramen's consistency was what you would expect for good Ramen! I will definitely go here again and finally there is an excellent Ramen option in Georgetown. I'm sure this will be a hit among the Georgetown students when August rolls around! Friendly and prompt service. The only thing I would like if the bowls for in-house dining were not plastic. It's okay for delivery or take out, but it would be nice to eating from a traditional ramen bowl.

Low frills ramen spot in a small food hall but done right. I had the miso w added spice and it hit the spot on a cold day. Excellent spice level, perfectly cooked noodles and tender pork. One of the best ramen spots I've had in DC. Only comparison is Zao in Bethesda.

1st time here and it was amazing. Customer service was fantastic. Got the spicy chicken shio and my wife got a simplified version of the shoyu. Broths were delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend and definitely plan on returning!

I'm a huge fan of this place…read more My friend and I had the ACYE option here, and the food was fabulously good. I didn't have many of their rolls, so I can't comment on that. Their appetizer game was fire though. I did several rounds of the ceviche, maguro avocado, pepper tuna tatami, yellowtail jalapeño, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ceviche was a standout--the mango added just the right touch of sweetness to balance everything out. Overall, the apps were super fresh and light, so I never felt weighed down even after multiple rounds. Honestly, I wish I lived closer to DC--I'd be here all the time.

We started with cocktails, and my mango margarita was huge and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. Overall, the food was solid across the board. The truffle tuna sushi roll was the standout of the night and definitely worth ordering. One thing to note: all the portions are full-sized, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of an all-you-can-eat menu. I would have preferred smaller portions of just a few pieces so you can try more variety. Service was just okay. Our waitress had a difficult time understanding us, which made ordering a bit challenging at times. The ambiance also leaves something to be desired, it's fairly basic and doesn't add much to the dining experience. That said, if you're looking for an affordable spot with decent sushi and a fun unlimited option, Toryumon is a solid choice. I'm glad we tried it, though it's not a place I'd rush back to.

If you're looking for a spot that offers more than just ayce sushi, Toryumon is the spot for you!…read more We came at a peak dinner time so it did get a little crowded, luckily they take reservations so highly recommended! While we were there multiple larger parties arrived so it does look like they can handle the larger crowds. We were seated closer to the sushi bar/kitchen area but it appeared that there was a larger dining area on the other end of the restaurant. Food wise, i highly recommend the sweet shrimp and scallop sushi! The pieces melted like butter and tasted so creamy! The rice quantity is on the bigger side as well as the portions so be careful when ordering. The ramen was also a hit along with the aged tofu! Those were my top favorites!! Service was decent! Nothing over the top, our server checked in a few times, and the overall service wasn't too slow given the crowd. There is no dedicated parking lot so street parking is it for this area. However, we parked in a garage and it was about a 5-7 min walk so not bad if that's the route you want to go.

My husband and I dined in for the first time today, and we were both very impressed with the atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Hayden was our server, and he showed exemplary hospitality skills. He made us feel welcome, checked in on us frequently without feeling overbearing, and made sure we knew the AYCE menu is double-sided. Speaking of, the AYCE is such a great deal! I used to live in Vegas, where AYCE sushi is very common. Unfortunately, for most of them, since the focus is on quantity, the quality suffers. This is not the case for Toryumon! Maybe it's because it isn't strictly an AYCE place. You can absolutely order items a-la-carte from their regular menu (as I had done previously for take-out). The items are exactly the same whether you order from the regular menu or the AYCE. Same quality, and, this is important, same size! Yes, you will receive a FULL-SIZED bowl of ramen if you order it from the AYCE menu. Not all of the menu items have descriptions, and I was surprised by some of them (not in a bad way, just wasn't what I was expecting), such as: The avocado salad. I was expecting it to be cubes/chunks of avocado tossed with a dressing. What came out was a lettuce salad with sliced avocado on top. The dressing was good, slightly sweet. It was a good salad, just not at all what I was expecting. The sweet potato sushi roll is served warm, the sweet potato is deep fried, and there is eel sauce on top. The sweet potato rolls I had other places were not fried, and served cold. I really enjoyed this one! Everything seemed very fresh, not a hint of wilting greens or brown avocado to be seen! I am so grateful to live right down the road from this amazing establishment. If you enjoy ramen, sushi, and other Japanese items, def give them a try! There are bathrooms available for guests. What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to recommend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Back-up recommendation for tourists. 3 is good. A solid option if I am in the area. I may recommend to locals, but would probably leave it off my list of recommendations for tourists. 2 is ok, but only because it a great value, unique, and/or convenient. 1 means I would not return.
