Food, service, ambiance all amazing!!! Totally loved my fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this place since it's relatively new place, but the tuna poke bowl fell short. I really like the variety of vegetables in this bowl, especially like the seaweed salad! But the fish-to-topping ratio was a bit off. The rice was the biggest letdown--overly sour, dry and hard. I'm not sure I'd risk a second try

I really enjoyed the sushi selection here and they have a lot of creative sushi. apart from the usual caterpillar roll and spicy tuna roll, I got a nice creative sushi roll Fois Gras. Love it! I had a Hanami roll, but they ran out of Uni so they put caviar instead no complaints there and I enjoyed it. Equally. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a very family oriented and nice residential restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was a little slow, but everyone was nice nonetheless. Will come back here again. Prices are reasonable.

Love to find great places only 10 minutes away from me. This is the crown jewel of Belmont eateries. Hanami is exactly the type of place that the area needs. It's vibrant, with great good and live music nights. It was packed on a Saturday night. The menu has many options. You can find staples like miso soup, vegetable tempura, crab Rangoon and pork gyoza. However, I came for the sushi to be the main attraction. A must order is the Tuna flight. I ended up ordering 2 of these just for myself. It was a tough decision since there was also Toro Toro roll on the menu which sounded awesome. Caterpillar roll was great. Individual Nigiri pieces were divine. Himachi melted in my mouth. Salmon was so good too. I will order all of these again and again. The list of specialty rolls is so creative. It was hard to pick. The signature Hanami roll was good, but the uni was very mushy. My only complaint is the uni. At $28 for this roll, it's probably one I would not repeat. Shrimp tempura roll was crispy. Unagi roll was pretty awesome as well. There are so many great options for sushi. The highlight was Gizelle, who made our experience so much more fun. She was so friendly and fun, and very engaging. I will make sure she's my server every time. I'll be back for the service and the food. Excellent experience all around. Definitely check this place out. I'll be back.

Went back to the local Sushi place in Belmont. It was delicious. Great Salmon avocado roll and the Philly roll was also great. Also Order the fried banana tempura ice cream, it's worth it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's busy, but staff is friendly, and it has live music when I went.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is so freaking cute, Nord was my server. He was cool and knowledgeable and had a love for Taylor Swift. The sushi rolls here are ginormous, so if you typically get more than one, you might want to think about that because they are big. I couldn't even get through a whole roll. I also got salmon to go it comes in a little cute bento box, and it's so freaking good. And it comes with mixed vegetables rice and a salad. The only negative thing I have to say is my son got his plate before me so I was watching him eat and by the time I got mine he was done so then he was watching me eat. I always feel like that's weird when you're dining. I prefer for you to just hold the food and bring it back when everybody gets their plate so everyone eats together. Other than that everything was great it's a cute little place, plenty of street parking. That's the nice thing about Belmont after about 5:00 p.m. or when the other businesses close, there's not that much traffic or cars taking parking. Oh, this is a small little detail, but their chairs are so comfortable as soon as you sit down it's like a cloud for your bum. It is also a little pricey, so prepare yourself. Also, I noticed that they do not have red wine on the menu, though they have a full bar. It was two options of white wine, plenty of sake, and again, probably anything else you want.

This Belmont local Japanese is worth visiting from surrounding neighborhoods. The decor is modern and more upscale than one might expect. The menu is diverse, offering traditional sushi and sashimi, Yakitori (including chicken hearts), Udon (both hot and cold), Ramen, and more. Take a seat at the expansive bar, at a high top, or traditional dining room table. If you're a sushi lover, you will like that the menu typically includes 3-4 types of tuna, not just basic Maguro, but also Chu Toro (medium fatty) and Oh Toro (very fatty). My only disappointment was that the Uni (Sea Urchin) was sourced from Maine, which is just not on par with Uni from California or Japan. For better local sushi options, you'd have to hoof it to Boston. Lastly, the wait service was pleasant and helpful.

This place is not worth it. Took about 8 min to be greeted by a server. We got some sushi which wasn't terrible. But The spicy tuna is more flakes than it was tuna- rip off. But what really got me what the soup. I got the bone broth soup with udon noodles. Says it come with veggies- it' came with one mushroom, a few pieces of spinach and a radish worst of all the chicken was FROZEN CHICKEN! like Tyson chicken breasts. Couldn't believe it. All set with this place and wouldn't go back. Two stars only for the live jazzy music that was nice. Forgot to mention that I paid cash at check out and the lady asked if I needed change and did the tip math in her head... it was awkward and I felt very rushed

The lady at the cash register was very sweet and patient, and did let us know it would take a while as the seafood were steamed fresh. It came in about 10-15 mins, so it wasn't that bad. I could imagine the wait being longer if it was crowded. The only thing I wished was a little better was the seating/dining areas. The outdoor was nice with the picnic benches but it was way too hot to be outside. The indoor section looked like a middle school cafeteria shack...which was whatever. Overall, food and service were great, ambiance could be a little better! Appreciate the sink to wash your hands after eating. Oh also, a pair of shell crakcers would be nice...had to use my hands to crack the pre-cracked shells but they were a little challenging.

All three dishes were served promptly are were quite tasty. I could have used a little more sauce on my rigatoni, but it was flavorful and the meatballs were small enough to easily cut in pieces so I could have a bite with every forkful of rigatoni. Hourly's interior is high ceilinged and airy and features the eclectic decor that characterizes eateries on the Square. The menu features a range of seafoods for which it is known - from raw bar staples to lobster. We started with a Paul Buisse Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley and a Hendrick's Extra Dry Gibson up (Finally! A Gibson!) The wine was crisp and dry and a perfect accompaniment to the oysters we ordered. Hourly usually has up to 10 oysters on offer from New England and the Chesapeake. We ordered 2 each of the Paine's Creek, East Beach Blonde, Island Creek, Buttercup, and four of the Mookie Blues. Our favorites were the Buttercups and Mookie Blues. Both are from Maine and are larger with a textured brine and crisp finish. The main course was the Roasted Monkfish Almondine served with a cauliflower puree, raisins, caulilini, brown butter, and capers. The filet was meaty, flavorful and roasted to perfection. We also had the Striped Bass which was served on the bone with snow peas, zucchini, squash, and fava beans. Our server was prompt, attentive, and informative and we could not have been more pleased with the service. One of the genuine joys of dining at Harvard Square is you meet other wonderful, interesting people. The table on one side had two astronomers from MIT while the other had four high school principals from Houston. The conversation was engaging and delightful. Hourly has some strong choices for dessert but it sits next door to Mike's Pastry, a Harvard Square tradition, so we opted to indulge our sweet tooth there. Hourly is a great place to recharge and refresh at Harvard Square.
