I cancelled my membership around October. This was confirmed but my account was charged 4 months later. When I spoke to Denea Moore (assistant manager) about this issue she was completely unprofessional about this and kept changing the month that I allegedly cancelled my membership. This location does not care about costumer service at all, the individual I was lucky enough to get did not massage my legs above the knee, mostly used his elbows on my back, did not wash his hands after massaging my feet, was very inexperienced and it just felt like he was trying to do as little as possible. I paid extra for a sugar scrub..... don't waste your money it was rubbed as fast as possible into the bottom of my foot then wiped off equally as fast. It was not a good experience I left feeling very unhappy, as I paid I was asked how my service was I said not that great and the front desk lady said great how would you like to pay. I'm a huge fan of hand and stone and have had a membership for almost a year now but will not be returning to the Silverado location, huge disconnect on what a spa experience should feel like with how much is being paid for the experience of a 90min massage with add ons. read more

Jen is an amazing masseuse who applies the right amount of pressure and really addresses your concerns. After my massage, I felt like a new man. She is a gift. Crystal is an extremely knowledgeable esthetician who explains everything and really addressed the issues with my skin. She is very detail oriented and puts you at ease. I answered an ad for a full time position at this location. I was within 2 weeks shy of getting my license and they told me that I would be fine and once I've passed my test and have my license to contact them. It was a total waste of my time. The hiring managers Danea and Nichole both lack professionalism and they were not transparent throughout this process. They both were not upfront telling me about this position, though they offered a full time position in the advertisement they actually told me that all they had was 2 days of work available. I was someone new that tried to be apart of the team and they completely disregarded me. An example of the unprofessionalism is that communication was mainly through text messages and Instead of getting a professional response I only received the "like" reaction to my text message. Danea did not even apologize for this inconvenience. After reading their reviews I'm thankful that I did not start working for this company because I can see that they are not offering good business. Honestly this updated review is based on the customer service. Especially their store manager LISA. She has the worst attitude honestly and tried to get smart with me. When I was baited into joining their membership but the associate at the time had told me that you can cancel anytime and will only be charged the day of the service for that month. But when I tried to cancel almost a week before the first month was due they tell me about their "30-day cancellation" which how does that even make sense because the 30 days prior to that is the day I sign up. And that they were still going to charge me 59.95 for October. I had to cancel my membership due to covid and losing my job. Now being a manager in my experience I understand there are policies. But I also know there are ways around it, especially when I've express that I absolutely cannot afford this right now. I also never even received the service either so they got out on me for the money during the PANDEMIC. You would think Lisa showed more compassion but no "it's all about the policy." And when my boyfriend tried to ask questions, she got nasty and was like who are you? And how he's not her client so she don't need to be talking to him. So nasty. As a customer I'm pretty frustrated. And I usually don't like to turn down business especially I will say in my experience with my esthetician was amazing. But leadership has shown that they don't care but to just take your money. Granted terms and conditions are there but Lisa should train her employees better when trying to sell a membership. GIFT CARDS BEWARE! My wife bought me a gift card to hand and Stone at the Summerlin location. The Summerlin location didn't have many available appointments so I decided to go to the hand and stone off Silverado Ranch. I called them and told them I want to make an appointment and that I have a gift card. They asked for the gift card number over the phone and after all was said and done she made the appointment and said I was all set. When I showed up to the location, I told them that I have a gift card but I also want to leave a tip and if they can put my debit card on file for the tip. After my massage, I went to the front to let them know I want to tip $20. That's when they told me I have to pay full price for the massage because my gift card was not valid at that location. I was pretty not happy about this. I asked the lady how come they asked for the gift card number over the phone and told me I was all set to go with a massage if my gift card was never valid to begin with. She told me the person over the phone should've checked but they must've not have. So because of their mistake I ended up paying for the massage. She gave me a $10 discount which meant I still spent $70 plus a $20 tip. The whole point of a gift card is so you don't pay for the massage but in my case I ended up paying for the massage. Now I have a gift card that still hasn't been used and I'm out and $90. In my opinion, they should have not charged me for the massage since it was 100% a mistake on their end. But they told me I had to pay anyways. It would be nice if they could reimburse me the $70 for the massage because it's not like I had the money to spend to begin with on a massage. Afterwards, I did my shopping for the week for food and had to cut back on what I bought to make up for the loss. If you use your gift card at this location, make sure you double and triple check with them that the gift card is valid at that location because it felt like I got hustled and I'm not too happy about it. read more

I don't really like writing back reviews but I have to one this one. I myself am a massage therapist and this is one out two of my worst massages in the past 5-6 years. I think my therapists name was Jamal. It was really bad I told him at beginning I wanted medium pressure throughout my body, I can take a little harder on upper back and light pressure on my glutes because they are sensitive. Upper body focus and scalp massage (because the scalp is the best part. This guy put his elbow with hard pressure over my spine and my right scapula so hard that it made me cry. (I've had plenty of massages) I know the difference between soft tissue/knots which are trigger points and bony landmarks. I feel like I'm gonna bruise. My body tensed up really bad pretty much through half the massage. The guy asks me if the pressure is okay I said if he could lower the pressure because I didn't want him digging his elbow across my left scapula. It was weird because he would do certain things on one side of my body and then do something like completely different on the other side of my body. I feel super unbalanced. Then this guys digs his knuckles or elbow not sure but it was really hard pressure onto my gluteals smh. When I specifically said lighter pressure because my flutes are sensitive. Then I asked if I could have pressure and he says oh it seems like you like light pressure than medium. And I said I can handle medium pressure throughout my body but not my glutes like I said in the beginning. The guy didn't even do the scalp massage either :( I felt like this massage therapist Jamal didn't really pay attention or even care about what I wanted done or comfortability of my body and pressure. There was no flow, no technique, no consistency, no friendliness, didn't active listen to needs, horrible communication. Why be a massage therapist if you aren't confident in what you are doing. It's dangerous to be putting your elbow with a lot of pressure on someone's spine. You could potentially cause them nerve damage or worse. Idk I wouldn't come here to get a massage or a facial. This is the second time I have come here. The first time I came I had Eduardo and he was great! But this time with Jamal really tensed my body up. It wasn't relaxing at all and then on top of that when he would rub oil (which was wayyyy to much oil being put on me) he would rub it on really fast like he didn't care. You rub oil or cream on gently onto the body, not carelessly. It was a really bad massage :/ wish I could get my money back honestly. read more

Hand and Stone was "hands" down an amazing experience. The staff displayed a superb sense of professionalism and had exceptional interpersonal skills. It was effortless and natural building rapport with those at the front desk and especially the massage therapist. Recently I had been recovering from a herniated disc so my back muscles were extremely stiff. Tony was assigned to me and let's just say he worked out all the kinks in my back and I'll keep on coming "back" as a regular. He was very knowledgeable about the anatomy of muscles and even thoroughly explained the process of what's going on as he massages my lower lumbar section. The facility itself is indicative of the high quality service as the atmosphere is calming and spacious. The aroma is great as well! The workers also get their temperatures checked before each shift, wear a mask and even have gotten covid testing to ensure the safety of the staff and clients. The pricing is rated around the average for massage services, however when signing up for a membership drops it down to only $60 a month! It's definitely a steal. I booked a massage online December 31 for my husband's birthday I did not see anywhere online where you could pick male or female after I booked the appointment I did call to confirm that the appointment went through and Thought I did confirm it was with a female so I showed up there today about three hours before the massage time just to drop off gratuity and confirm the appointment and all that good stuff the receptionist was sweet as pie she did tell me it was a mail I did inform her that there's no way that would work then she tried to get me to do a facial my husband doesn't want a facial he took the day off today to get this massage so the manager Lisa came out and she went back and supposedly listen to the call and said that I did not ask for a female And if I didn't take this appointment I was going to be charged for half of the service because I didn't give a 24 hour notice needless to say I told her I was going to give her a bad review and I did use a cuss word she had a few words for me told the receptionist don't book another appointment for me and to get the fuck out with her exact words to me I would not recommend this place to anybody if you read any of their other reviews they have several reviews where people have been treated shitty I did find another massage place around the corner and booked a massage that my husband deserves read more
