I recently visited Hello Sugar and had a really nice experience overall. The salon was clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff made me feel comfortable right away. Check-in was quick and easy, which I really appreciated. My technician was friendly, professional, and worked efficiently while still making sure I was at ease throughout the appointment. The service itself was much smoother and less intimidating than I expected. There were just a couple of small spots that were missed, but nothing major. Everything else about the experience--from the atmosphere to the customer service--really stood out in a positive way. I was drawn in by their $20 Brazilian sugaring wax deal so I scheduled an appt. When I got in, my esthetician started doing the regular hot wax on me and I was confused. I told her I scheduled for a sugaring session and she was like "oh okay I can do sugaring on you". However I thought that was an already given on my appointment... other than that she was nice but the sugaring kinda hurt compared to other sugar waxing services I did. I felt like my hair kept getting pulled as she was applying the sugar, maybe cuz the wax was too cold? There was also no after care, like they didn't apply anything to help soothe the area like other waxing places I've been to does. Other than that, the place was clean and looked new. What bothered me is that it's really hard to reach them. I made an appt thinking it was the green valley location which is what it said on my text however it was actually the sunset one? Just make sure you know where you're going to bc I went to the wrong place since their text messages weren't clear. Several things went wrong: I was charged the wrong price - almost triple what I was supposed to pay. The experience was uncomfortable. The results were disappointing. I still had quite a few hairs remaining, after a Brazilian service. Oh, and did I say I was overcharged? Yes, three times what I should have paid. I will say the tech was friendly, the service was timely, although it felt a bit rushed, and the place seemed clean. I've read a lot of the great reviews this place has. So I expected a better experience, but was sadly disappointed. read more

Unfortunately just not a good experience from the get go. I saw a special for $19 and I thought wow that's such a good deal! So I book it and I admit I was running a couple minutes late. It's an automated machine which was annoying already to deal with but it said there was a 10 minute grace period. I ended up only being 5 minutes late but the receptionist never texted me the code to enter so I was stuck waiting outside the building and there was a homeless person nearby and I was stuck talking to their automated ai receptionist. Finally someone lets me in as they are leaving then I arrive to the space I needed to be at 6:50 (my appointment was 6:40) im sure her name was Janet because that was who my appointment was with was already packed up and moving her stuff. I've been here a few times with a few different techs but I mainly see Kassidy. She's always so professional and friendly. She's quick (thank goodness lol) and she's very knowledgeable. I never feel like she tries to sell or push anything. She genuinely offers and recommends services and products that will greatly improve my waxing experience. I bought a Fur oil from her per her recommendation and it really keeps the waxed/sugared area soft and moisturized to avoid ingrowns and irritation. I'm so glad she suggested it! I will always come here and even though I'll be happy with any tech, I will always try to see Kass! read more

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET JANET!! I went to get my brows, lip,and forehead done because last time the girl I got did great. (I don't remember her name but she was so nice and helpful) This time I got someone else and she literally f** me up. She was so rough and seemed like she was just rushing. My eyebrows are like pencil thin now (I have never gotten my eyebrows this thin in my LIFE) and when she waxed my forehead she literally like ripped a layer of skin off and it hurts to the touch even though it has already been about 3-4hrs since done, and there was wax in my hair. When we finished she handed me the mirror and I wanted to cry, not only from the pain but the thinness of my eyebrows. She asked if I wanted anything to be fixed and I said no it was fine because I didn't want to deal with more pain. I kinda have a problem with face to face confrontation so I just wanted to leave. I had a free wax so at least I didn't spend money on it. When she was checking me out she asked if I wanted to leave a tip and I felt awkward if I didn't tip so I gave her $5 and left. I left so quick and started to bawl in my car because I feel like I look so horrible now. I'll go back because I have two free waxes but I'm NEVER going to have Janet do my wax ever again. read more

I wish I see the comments earlier. Do not go to Janet. After today having a session with Janet, on way home I felt my upper lip skin on left side was burning which is very unusual as I'm a regular client there with Kass. Got home looked in the mirror and found my skin was tore up. Very disappointed and sad now I'm hoping it won't leave a scar for me. Definitely won't go back and I will cancel my membership. read more

I did love this place, but I started going to a different salon. The only reason is that you have to be buzzed into the building, and sometimes I'd be on time for an appointment but have to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to buzz me in. I just wasn't comfortable with that because there are homeless people that loiter in that shopping complex and I kept getting asked for money by them, or just made to feel uncomfortable. I do not like that you have to text to communicate, sometimes they do not reply or multiple numbers text you. I try to speak to a receptionist and it took a while . Also you're outside waiting until someone opens the door which is however long, they didn't offer if I wanted to come inside to sit and wait . I waited 10+ min standing looking lost. I had a wax here on May 9,2023. The first wax was free and I was satisfied but today they charged me $52 after a canceled appointment. I found out that the rep signed me up for a membership which she didn't explain. She told me that I would pay $7 that day and then pay for the next wax at the time of service. She then proceeded to charge my card $17 but I let it go. I contacted them for a refund today and Justine all but refused to refund my money stating the $52 is good for my next wax. I don't plan on getting another wax through them. I signed the paperwork without reading it and that is my fault but I trusted what your associate told me. If you do decide to give them a chance make sure to read whatever they are giving you as they apparently like to bait and switch trusting that you won't read the fine print. read more

I usually strip wax and wanted to try sugar wax so I checked this business out! Firstly, Seantasia was super friendly and welcoming when I walked in! Very amicable and we just talked like girlfriends the entire time! I had questions about sugaring and she was super helpful and informative. She was great! I loved that sugaring is completely natural and in my opinion it was actually much LESS painful than strip waxing. When she got going I had to look down to see that hair was gone because I didn't believe hair had actually been pulled out! Sugaring is supposed to last a couple weeks longer than strip waxing so I'm interested in seeing those results! She used a toner and something else on me that I can't remember that was natural and left me feeling mint fresh! My overall experience was a definitely 10/10 and I am now switching to sugaring! read more

Amazing service!! I had my first Brazilian Area Sugar with Seantacia about a month ago and I'm returning this week!! She made my first time go so well, she was super respectful and verbally walked me through everything she planned to do, was about to do, and while she was doing it. On top of all that, she helped me get my mind off of things by talking about ourselves. I loved my results, right after and up until now. My hair growth is lower than ever, as well as the thickness, practically no ingrown hairs as well. I was honestly never the type to care about having some hair down there but sugaring definitely is a new thing I'll be treating myself to once a month now. I purchased a membership while I was still there last time because I loved the service/outcome itself, Seantacia's amazing hospitality, great workplace cleanliness, and Hello Sugar's overall great vibes SO much. Omg where do I start.. ok, so I got a FEEE bikini wax from a PROMO they had in an IG ad. Well, I had an option of paying a little to do a full Brazilian so I thought to myself ok why not?! I haven't gotten waxed or sugared in over a year so I was nervous because it's a vulnerable place to be in! I chose sugaring because I've gotten both waxed and sugared before and sugaring is my preference. My esthetician was Justine and she was great! The room was kept nice and clean. The location is about 30 minutes from where I live but she made me so comfortable and I liked my experience so much I signed up for the membership (which gives you discounts for all their services)! Its not good, when you have an issue and can not speak to a live person. Once again, they're charging my daugther's credit card. I went to get a wax and did not have my wallet. Manually they card my daughter card for the services provided. Every month they go in a charge card. Last month they refunded me and this month they charge her card again without permission. They need to get their credit card system or someone needs to get this rectified right now. Who can I call, who will answer? read more
