There are so many options, from ice cream cones to milk shakes and banana splits, and there are enough flavor options to satisfy even a picky eater. The seasonal peppermint bark ice cream is easily a new favorite! The ice cream is smooth in texture and true to its flavor name. Prices are fair, especially in comparison to other ice cream shops and when you consider the generous size of their scoops. My medium cone was $8, which sounds like a lot, but it was literally the size of my head and was difficult for two people to finish. 10/10 recommend. The ice cream itself is really good, but unfortunately the customer service was disappointing. We ordered about $80 worth of ice cream for a party, and I was surprised to find out that they don't allow samples. That means you basically have to blindly choose a flavor without being able to taste it first. I also asked the employees to describe a few of the flavors, but they were unable to give helpful descriptions. What was even more frustrating was that they couldn't clearly explain the policy or why samples weren't allowed. If you're spending $80 on ice cream for a party, I think it's completely reasonable to want to taste a flavor before committing to it. We ordered 8 pints and only received 7, so we were also charged for the ice we didn't receive. The ice cream is great, but the customer service and overall experience definitely is not good. Ice cream is the perfect dessert on a hot summer night. My boyfriend and I came to Handel's in Glendora after we had dinner nearby. There was a really long line that wrapped a few times, but to their credit, they were well staffed and the lines moved quite efficiently. The small ($7) only came with one flavor so my boyfriend and I decided on the medium ($8) in order to get 2 flavors. We got the Lemon Bar with the Graham Central Station and the flavors were very complementary. Yum. The cashier was a bit silly cause he put in one spoon. I had to ask for a second spoon. Ice cream is so pricey these days. Back when I was in high school my local Handles had $1 scoop on a designated day of the week. Those days are long gone. Inflation is real! On a positive note, this location of Handles actually has a lot of outdoor seating, so even though they were busy we were able to get seating at a table. The most notable, unique feature of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie ice cream will be the brownie chunks. I appreciated how the brownie chunks tasted fresh and soft. The brownie was not icy; rather, its velvet texture added a welcomed dimension to the ice cream. Concerning the Ice Cream itself, it's very standard. The ingredients tasted of good quality, but the ice cream is that familiar, nostalgic taste. Surprisingly, the quality of the waffle bowl had impressed me. The waffle bowl tasted crisp and very fresh. Its flavor and consistency reminded me of a fresh, tasty graham cracker. Handel's (Glendora's) location is somewhat hidden from the main plaza's parking lot. But it's very visible to AMC (Glendora) visitors since it's near the movie theater's doors. Handel's (Glendora) has plenty of clean outdoor seating. There's plenty of shade from the set-up canopy, and it's well lit for the evening with its twinkling lights. My go-to flavor is the Strawberry Cheesecake, which is usually excellent. However, during this visit I noticed that there were fewer cheesecake chunks in the ice cream compared to other Handel's locations I've visited. That was a little disappointing since those chunks really make the flavor special. Another difference at this location is that when ordering a sugar cone, the two scoops must be the same flavor, unlike some other locations that allow two different flavors. It's a small detail, but it does limit the ability to mix flavors if that's something you enjoy. The service was friendly and the shop was clean.
