My family and I visit Fosters Freeze often and have always enjoyed their delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, over the last few visits, the customer service has noticeably declined. The employees at the register often come across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. They rarely greet customers, say "hello," or smile, which makes the overall experience feel less inviting. Another ongoing issue is that they frequently run out of popular ice cream flavors or are only accepting cash. If these situations come up, it would be helpful if they posted updates on social media so customers know before making the trip. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration, because we really enjoy the food and would love to continue supporting this location. read more

Super disappointed. I've been eating at this foster freeze since I moved to Glendora over 20 years ago. this was our second trip in the same week. Needless to say we come fairly often for dessert. Tonight, I was really disheartened at the dismissive behavior I received when getting my Oreo twister. I'm assuming the manager on duty was trying to make it right but I didn't feel like he was hearing what I said. Originally, when I placed the order, I asked for a regular chocolate dipped Oreo twister with hot fudge on top. Not blended in. I also ordered a cone in a cup. This was what I received. The ice cream Cone in a cup that I received came chocolate dipped and cone less. When I tried to explain that I wanted a cone, she told me that it was extra to which I replied. I already paid for the cone. Not sure if this business is hurting for Money but honestly, I'm getting to a point where I'd rather just take my money elsewhere. Why not just go to handles and buy a flight for the same price.? the customer service is way more friendly as well. read more

There's nothing new or exciting added to the ice cream. It's the same vanilla soft serve, medium dip cone, but the price is gone up to $6.75. McDonald's has a vanilla soft serve cone for $1.75 and IKEA has vanilla and I believe some sort of berry soft serve cone for $1.00. That being said it wasn't that enjoyable and it gave me a stomach ache. And the chocolate dip was a little waxy. read more

Local fave. Next to the drive up dairy and across from our local Vons and Starbucks sits a Glendora classic, Fosters Freeze. We mostly stick to ice cream but you can get a burger and other items and they do have a small inside area. Nothing fancy at all. It's what you'd expect but solid. The reason we come to Fosters is that it's a treat for the family or a place to meet up with friends. The chocolate dipped vanilla cone is always my go to and I don't get anything other than that. It reminds me of a small place in NC where I spent a few years of my youth that our soccer coach would take us to after practice - back when the team would hop in the back of the truck for a ride to grab ice cream (different times). That place was called Rooneys Ive cream and they had soft serve and chocolate dipped just like Fosters. Sometimes the best places are the ones where memories are made. For me, it's taking the kids out for ice cream after a school concert or game. It's enjoying a late night treat for no reason. That's what Fosters is for us. Yes, the ice cream is great. My friend got a chocolate ice cream cone and I ordered a banana split -- both were delicious! She said her cone tasted just like Hershey's Kisses, which was fun. My banana split was fresh, sweet, and topped just right. Service was okay, nothing over the top but friendly enough. Bad service to begin with, most girls taking orders & serving have attitude rolling eyes. Bananas for the banana splits are overripe & black (bruised bad). We complained about the bad bananas because we just couldn't eat it of how bad it was all they did is add another half --mind you less bruised but overripe. I give the benefit of doubt several times and it just gets worse. It's only ice cream I just don't understand--NEED QUALITY BANANAS!! read more

This place reminds me of the ice cream/custard shops of my youth. Colorful pictures of dessert options taped to the glass. Young and older alike sitting outside on picnic tables on each side of the order & pickup windows enjoying their favorite while talking and laughing. The service was fast, the servers were friendly and the order was correct. We got a hot fudge sundae, root beer float and a single vanilla cone. They were delicious! Fosters Freeze has always been a childhood staple for me. Delicious soft serve, shakes, and twisters (basically a blizzard from Dairy Queen). You can make all types of flavor combos and it always hits the spot. The people that work there are very nice and have quick service. Definitely takes me back to my youth. Love soft serve ice cream, especially dipped cones! I opted for the new chocolate dipped waffle cone, which is basically your adult version of the iconic drumstick. Can be a little messy unless you're really eating fast, but that's part of the nostalgia. Service is definitely fast and friendly and worthy of five stars, but price was like $8.25 and like $10 with tip. They have the old school soft serve chocolate dipped cones(various sizes) that have that "waxy" feel to the dip when you bite into it. This is something I recall from my childhood and I love Foster's Freeze for this! Call me nostalgic. But I know what I like! Seating area is also old school and has smaller benches for seating. So most likely made for grade school students. It's a popular spot and gets crowded pretty quickly and parking becomes very limited. Come here if you like your favorite childhood treats. Nice and velvet with a good vanilla flavor. And the chocolate dip had that chocolate flavor I was looking for! The gal at the window was very nice and the location was very nice. The manager, Matthew, delivered our food to our table, and he said that Mike made sure the focaccia bread on side for me was wrapped separate, as it was vegan, yet in kitchen with possible cross contamination. Matthew said they are very conscientious if a customer is vegan or vegetarian to be mindful of their orders. I was completely blown away! Huge shout out to Mike, and the manager Matthew for the care that is so rare! I'll definitely be back more often.

When I calmly explained the issues, the owner became angry that I didn't want the steak redone and walked away mid-conversation. He eventually came back, removed the $62 steak, and told us he didn't want us back in his restaurant. To top it off, for an establishment charging fine-dining prices where guests dress up, the owner was wearing shorts and sneakers. One chance is all a restaurant gets to make a good impression.
