Oreo twister
Denise G.

We wanted something to match an Oreo McFlurry without having to go to McDonald's. Decided to try Fosters Freeze and we were not disappointed!!! Went with the Oreo twister, and oh my goodness it was perfect!! Great place to grab a burger and a shake when you're in Glendora.

Nothing says summer like a trip to Fosters on a warm evening. The best soft serve around.

$6.75 medium vanilla cone dip dipped.

There's nothing new or exciting added to the ice cream. It's the same vanilla soft serve, medium dip cone, but the price is gone up to $6.75. McDonald's has a vanilla soft serve cone for $1.75 and IKEA has vanilla and I believe some sort of berry soft serve cone for $1.00. That being said it wasn't that enjoyable and it gave me a stomach ache. And the chocolate dip was a little waxy.

Came back because was craving it. This place was popping even 30 mins before closing. So good! Service is quick too.

Our family all had cold deserts and were very pleased with the ice cream selection and quality. The service was excellent with a very courteous and friendly cashier. We enjoyed our snacks outside while enjoying the calm ambiance. It's an older location (40+ years) but the ice cream is the same it's always been, YUMMY!

Fosters Freeze in Glendora is a great little spot when you are craving something classic. I ordered a vanilla cone and it was way bigger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. The soft serve was creamy, cold, and exactly what I wanted on a warm day. The place has a nostalgic feel and the service was quick and friendly. Sometimes simple is all you need, and this cone definitely delivered.

Local fave. Next to the drive up dairy and across from our local Vons and Starbucks sits a Glendora classic, Fosters Freeze. We mostly stick to ice cream but you can get a burger and other items and they do have a small inside area. Nothing fancy at all. It's what you'd expect but solid. The reason we come to Fosters is that it's a treat for the family or a place to meet up with friends. The chocolate dipped vanilla cone is always my go to and I don't get anything other than that. It reminds me of a small place in NC where I spent a few years of my youth that our soccer coach would take us to after practice - back when the team would hop in the back of the truck for a ride to grab ice cream (different times). That place was called Rooneys Ive cream and they had soft serve and chocolate dipped just like Fosters. Sometimes the best places are the ones where memories are made. For me, it's taking the kids out for ice cream after a school concert or game. It's enjoying a late night treat for no reason. That's what Fosters is for us. Yes, the ice cream is great. The place is nostalgic. And, the service is always friendly and fast.

Chocolate ice cream cone and banana split

My friend got a chocolate ice cream cone and I ordered a banana split -- both were delicious! She said her cone tasted just like Hershey's Kisses, which was fun. My banana split was fresh, sweet, and topped just right. Service was okay, nothing over the top but friendly enough. I liked all the colorful posters on the windows -- it gives the place a nostalgic, old-school vibe. The only downside was the floor outside; it looked pretty dirty and could definitely use a good pressure wash. Overall, I had a good experience here with the sweets. I didn't try their food this time, but maybe next time I will!

We visited on an early Wednesday afternoon with a group of 5 people. The young girl working, took our order right away and it was ready within 5-6 minutes. I got the oreo cheesecake twister which was delicious and had a generous amount of mix-ins. My husband got the cookie dough twister. We definitely enjoyed our desserts and would come back!

Walk up and order your ice cream. Quick and friendly service. Be mindful of the size order. I ordered a large cheesecake and oreo freeze, didnt know large meant Big Gulp large. Had to stick in the freezer and eat it the other half the next day. No air bubbles or hollow core. Packed!

I love this place, hands down best ice cream around. The service is great and quick. The girls that work there always have a great attitude and their recommendations never disappoint

First time at Fosters Freeze. Definitely happy about it. This location has a Lb old vibe to it. Very helpful and nice young ladies working here. They helped me and my kids make up our minds lol Huge menu! Something for everyone. We all got McFlurry/blizzard type. Sooo good. Fair prices and good portions. Plenty of parking as well. You can always modify and add to your choices. So that's cool. I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area. We enjoyed our treats and service. Keep it up. See you soon.

Third there is also a craft beer counter serving craft beer and wine along with beer and wine floats using the homemade ice cream. What is better than two of the best things in the world beer on tap and homemade crafted gourmet ice cream!!!! I scream for both! This ice cream artist has taken it up on flavors and has come up with some super delish unique items some that include a little beer in them to make them extra creamy and some non dairy made with coconut milk. You can taste your heart out as every flavor is temping and made of fresh natural ingredients. Definitely one of the best ice cream shops that i have come across and probably I think the best in SoCal. This place makes Handels look like baskin Robbin's and makes others like after and salt & straw look commercialized. Because this guy is crafting the ice cream that he knows the people want and takes ultra pride in his product. A must visit place - located at the end of old town Covina that is also worth a visit to dine at and walk around. I'm coming back for a beer float on their patio and to pick up one of their cool tshirts. They also sell by the pint. This is ice cream heaven at its best!

The restaurant is clean, modern, and has vibrant colors when you enter. The customer service was friendly, professional, and efficient. I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Crepe and the Turkish Coffee to go along with it. There was a little bit of a wait, but I didn't mind since there was only one person working. The Pumpkin Pie Crepe tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, as expected. However, it wasn't too sweet and had more of a real pumpkin flavor that pair very nicely with the pecans and caramel drizzle. The crepe was cooked perfectly and held together nicely with all the other ingredients. The portion size was large and could be shared between two people. It didn't exactly blow me away, but I appreciated the fact that it tasted like I was eating a pumpkin pie without the over sweetness. The Turkish Coffee was okay in my opinion, but it could be because I'm not used to it. Creamer and sugar packets are provided. The coffee alone was very bold and almost had a burnt taste, but not in a bad way; bringing out the flavor of the coffee beans more. I think if flavors of the coffee were offered then it would definitely be a favorite. My partner tried the frozen yogurt and she enjoyed it very much. The serving size was large as well, enough for two-three people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. To my knowledge, no military nor first responder discount offered.

The gelato is velvety & soft with prominent flavor profiles. It's tasty. (Important Note: Bring cash. Card has a small additional fee, about 3.5% extra. Also, there's no flavor sampling.) I arrived at Il Gusto (West Covina) on Monday (around 7:29pm). This location shares the busy parking plaza by 85 Degrees (West Covina). Fortunately, it was easy to find parking this evening. Staff is professional and helpful. Staff worked quickly, and staff answered all my questions. Line went very fast despite a group being ahead of me. As mentioned, I ordered the Medium Cup (2 Scoops - $8). I selected a milk chocolate scoop and a cookies-flavored scoop. Portion sizes are fair and adequate for its quality. The flavors are delicious. The milk chocolate scoop reminded me of rich, dark chocolate milk. Its consistency felt very velvety, and its strong chocolate flavor almost teetered towards chocolate brownie territory. The cookie-flavored scoop was very tasty as well. This scoop flowed smoothly, and I happily enjoyed the soft cookie chunks within. This had a milder taste, but it felt very satisfying. This gelato was not icy; rather, it had delightful flavors while flowing like chilled silk. Concerning ambiance, Il Gusto (West Covina) shows genuine effort. The location is very clean and well-ventilated (refreshingly chill). I also enjoyed the Elvis Presley music. However, the music was occasionally drowned out from the loud electronic buzzing/humming sounds from the kitchen's containers. Also, some portions of the walls and floors looked scuffed with black marks. Il Gusto (West Covina) is also fairly small. It has three reflective tables inside; customer-only restroom; and three nearby shaded tables outside. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Il Gusto (West Covina). Its prices are adequate, the gelato is a good quality, and the staff is hardworking & helpful. If nearby, I recommend. 4.6 out of 5
